Kenny and Kirsty from Mid Canterbury Rugby dropped by to share the housekeeping for the Hammers big semi-final v Wai Bush on Sat. Also the challenge to paint the town Green and Gold, and how you can pick up some merch at the Showgrounds Thurs night.

on by and we noted that the win against the
Old Golds on the weekend sees the hed and Shield
safely stowed away.

the last week or so getting them all listed and
getting them up on lanes so.

clean has been getting a fair all hammering given her
dipus on Siddy to scrub them back up again.

a couple of washes and they were already tight fitting
at the best of times. So but no, they trade
me auctions run until Sunday seven pm and some of
them are starting to gather a bit of attention, others
need a little bit more, so jump on and bid

at the weekend. And look for a great cause as

said today early kickoff of one thirty five hosting Why

Yeah exactly. We picked it. Yeah, we were talking about it,
I think last week, didn't we and we said that
there's a strong possibility that that could happen. So yep,
we've been on the phone already and Christy and I
were laughing. I think there have been a little spying
mission when we went up to wire rapp A Bush
and some of the locals from mid Canbery may have
decorated our office in green and gold things. So I'm

sure there will be a karma mission coming back our way,
so we'll have to defend the office with all our
honor and and try and stop that. But that is great,
It's it's really good to see whe Tanya to be
able to come back with the team. They're a team
that I've gone well this year and they gave us
a real trouble earlier in the year.

It was a round three and I would say, if anything,
we were lucky to escape with the w so they'll
be wanting to turn the todd they've better we tast
of what's possible.

Yeah they have. And look, you know Matt and the
and the team have done a brilliant job this year
of prepping the boys, so you know, I've got full
faith and their ability to do that. But yeah, you
wouldn't take Wire Rapper Bush slightly. Their their quality outfit
and they've certainly earned our spot in that top four.

we'll have a fab donation going there. But this weekend's
a really good opportunity for us to start prepping and

building into twenty twenty six with a real strong focus
on our teenage rugby space. So we've got a couple
of projects in mind and hopefully the community will come
on out and support us. But yeah, more importantly Under
sixteens Free get along still come in the old bruce
Field have entrance, you can get out via seafield nice
and easy. So and our team from the Lions Ladies

will be down and helping us as well. So I
suspect we'll have a busy day. I'm praying for a
dry day. I think Kirstie's praying for a dry day
as well. She's still drying out from the weekend.

went and explored some local playgrounds and the sick of
those conditions. My bum's still drawing yet. So leading up
to that, we're wanting to foster a bit of a
community spirit. We're looking to dress up the town essentially, right.

Paint it green and gold. So what's the idea here?

So there's a competition running at the store front windows
or in your stores. Get staff. We're in green and Gold.
You can win some merch and vop passes. Can I
take a few of the players around on Thursday afternoon
and they will vote for who they think is the
best store and display. But then if you don't want
to enter the comp but your store want to be
part of us, you can send us your photos and

we'll chuck them up on our social media and that
as well. Great getting that support, getting the town behind us,
and yeah, shying.

We're gonna have the merch store up and down at
the showgrounds on Thursday night as well. So if you
haven't got your med canniby merch and you've been at
GAMD and you've thought, oh I need to get something
and you've you know, you didn't bring your wallet or
you didn't bring your cards. Well, Thursday night six pm
till seven thirty, we'll have the merch store open nice
late evenings now as well. Can come on down, hit

yourself a hoodie, get yourself a cap.

Plenty of there, So we've got a couple of different
cap options. We've got a trucker cap and a sports
cap option. We've got a handful of those vintage jerseys left,
and I mean a handful of those with the yeah,
the green band on the white jersey, so they look
fabulous and have seen lots of people wearing them. Those
are limited edition that are only a handful of those made,

so those will add in value I think over the years.
But yeah, we've got a couple of different options in
the hoodies, we've got training tops. The mid Canby socks
are going really well. People love the socks. Yep, good
for the work boots, so there's plenty of opportunity there.
So yeah, come on down and get yourself some merch
