Local ladies choir the Decibelles made their debut radio performance with a wonderful version of "Mary did you Know".

It is very much standing room only in the studio
for a first. I've been trying for years to make
this happen and now it's a Christmas miracle. My prayers
have come true. Karen Clough, you're the one closest to
the mic from the Desert Ols morning.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Good morning, Luke, How are you good?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
How did all this begin? What was the catalyst for
the Decerbels?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Oh? Look, we are a group of local ladies who
love to sing and love a laugh, and so it's
no surprise then that we are headed by the wonderful
Joe Castillo and she is our musical director and somehow
rains us all in each Monday when we have a rehearsal,
and every now and then we sing somewhere or for someone,

(00:39):
And today we're here to sing.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
For you, not just an excuse to get the girls
together for someg nog. Well that great, isn't that? Is
it a year round thing or just for yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yeah, we sing all year round and this is our
last gig of the year.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Ah, I feel so privileged. What other local events have
we been hitting up this season?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Well, we were at the Light Up the Night the
other day, which was really all that day. Oh, it
was so good, outstanding, and we had a great group
of kids in the front, our little groupies all.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Dancing way just a mosh of one here, yeah, mosh
of many listening on of course, yeah yeah. And oh
and you went to the host, well you got at
the hospitale.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
We did that last year, but we also performed in
variety theaters show this year. We had a special guest
performance in Rozilla and some of these wonderful people were
in Rockzilla as well.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
But a lot of talent, yeah, a lot of talent.
Desa Bell's credit, very clever name who can lay credit
to that? Chat? GPT? Got it? What would you like
to share with us this morning?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
We're going to sing for you one of our favorites.
