Well, he was talking about how you were the last
double all Black. Well I look up cricket and all Blacks.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Yeah, yeah, terms of a double in that regard. But
there's a lot of great athletes have done multiple sports
represent in their country so since then, but just the
cricket rugby thing.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Yeah, I can't help but think, like, when I was
thinking about it, you would have been that kid at school,
that Loki. Every other guy in your year group was like,
damn that Jeff Wilson guy.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
But sport no. You see, but if it involved water, no,
I'm remember cargo, So no one goes right. So when
it comes to water sports, no interest or skill or
ability wants. I can swim, don't get but not very
fast and not very well. Okay, So if anyone wants
to know, that's it. That's that's my kryptonite right there.

You know, I'm a land mammal, an hundred percent land memo.

Oh I love it. And you know, I was also
also thinking when he was fangirling that you must have
you must have come across your name on the back
of beer bottle top surely Christians, Yeah I.

Was for a while. Yeah, I'm a prime way back.
But the spaces bottle top absolutely. You know. The embarrassing
thing about that, though, is as if you get the
answer wrong when you are the answer, you know, And
I've been I've been in a group, you know, because
they use them for obviously games, And I've been in
a group and I've gone, who is that?

That is so cool? Please tell me you keep the
bottle tops, because that's so cool. In my opinion for me,
I'm like, who try the other one.

I'm not sure I've got those lying around, to be fair,
i mean, the kind of my house, there's not a
lot of there's certainly not of a lot of memorabilia
from my sporting career. No, not never been that way.
Find like, I don't tend to look back too much,
to be honest, I sort of just try and focus
on the hair and the now, you.

Know, you know, speaking on the here, they're now super
Raby caught a finals. We've got to talk about that.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
So good. It's a great weekend. It's the start of
when everything matters, Like up until now it mattered, but
now it's the well if you don't when you're done,
you don't get another Monday, you don't get another week,
and to focus on getting another opportunity to win this
fantastic trophy which only people from christ Church and the
Crusaders have touched. So it's time for someone else, right,
It's just not right it is now, Yes, it is

just right. It is right because it's time for someone
else to celebrate. And the great thing about it is
we genuinely don't know. You know. It could be the Hurricanes,
it could be the Blues. You know, it could be
the Chiefs. The Brumbies are a hell of a team,
you know, the Highland could cause an upset. Who knows,
the Reds in the tonight in Hamilton, you know, so

all of those things the unknown and it doesn't involve
a team a great team from the past, so now
we can focus on a new group and a new talents.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Well, there's been like so much hype about the Blues
and Fiji drawer being tomorrow. Like I can even just
tell like the city's you know, buzzing a little bit
with the hype around this game, you know.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
And I think on the back of a competition which
has been played in a certain way that we know
that the Blue has been really good. Yeah. I think
their fan base of for the last two or three
years have felt they were good enough but haven't found
a way, Whereas now I suppose a huge obstacles out
of the way, but another one shows up and tonight
tomorrow night, it's the drawer, right, and they are unique.
(03:47):
It's tough for them because they just don't play very
well away from home. But there's going to be one
day where it all happens for them. Could it be
that day? And I look at this and go, it's
going to be a great game of rugby regardless. This
will be sitting up the Blues for an opportunity next weekend.
If they can they can do what they need to
do and who they are, and I just like I say,
I'm genuinely going to games going with the sense that

I may think the Blues should win this game comfortably,
but there's still a back in my mind. You just
never know, that's what playing and.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
You know, and speaking about being away from home, how
do you think you know the Highlanders will do against
the Brumbies being and the heat and stuff, because.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Canbra that's freezing over there. It's the same as Dunedin
and that plays and we actually quite wan No, Canberra
is not hot. Trust me, well, they actually don't mind
going to Canberra. Historically we've done reasonably well over there
from time to time. Look, they're in the best space

they've been throughout the whole tournament. I think they understand
how they are now. So look, the Brumbies are really
good though. Look I knew right from the start of
the season that they were the best of the Australian teams.
Got the best depth, they've got the best experience. You know,
they've been in playoff games before, so they're going to
be really tough. But if I was picking there was
going to be an upset, That's where the upset could happen.

This weekend and if it's my Highlanders even better.
