Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the Flavor Podcast Network, the Flavor Breakfast Podcast with Stace,
Azarah and Charlie.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
On today's podcast, you'll hear me here, just an identity
crisis with my age.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
And don't you lie to me.

Speaker 4 (00:13):
It's all about admitting our guilty pleasure artists, and we're.

Speaker 5 (00:16):
Keeping it balance, or we're trying to we as speaking
to players both from the kiwi.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
And tongue inside as well rugby league. Oh my goodness,
it is Friday. It's Friday. Yay baby, good morning.

Speaker 5 (00:29):
Good morning. After an unusual night. We are driving along. Oh,
there is a zombie driving a car, clown on a bike.
There's a dinosaur walking down my straight.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
Oh, these kids in school uniform. Oh my gosh, Halloween.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Halloween.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Isn't it so funny that it's so different in each area,
Like you've got dinosaurs walking around. Charlie hares kids in
their school uniform and tag uniform. Your son, my son, yep,
very nerdy, trying to me. No one came to me again,
No one came to me. Yes, I noticed trickle treats

(01:02):
coming up my streets, so they must have passed me
as I was driving down to go home.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I am still not showering at my house because.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
My bathroom's being renovated, so I had to shower elsewhere.
And I was like, oh my gosh, they would have
passed our house. So I pulled over. I had lollies
in the car with me. I just handed these kids
lollipops and fruit boosts and that was it. No one
knocked on our door, I asked my flatmates. So there
the whole afternoon, and.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
So was did you put out decorations? No, that's what I.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Should have thought about it, and we should have put
decorations out.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
So that's the key. You talked about wanting to be wanted.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
And then you know the international code for I am
participating in Halloween, it's about cobwebs or a pumpkin or
something on the front door. I wasn't at home, but
I organized one outfit well out for my friend, my
daughter and friends.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
And then I wasn't there.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
And my daughter said, even without us putting out Halloween whatever, Yeah,
and she said that peggetive oreos that works there, that works.
I guess it's you know, your area is so important.
We have Franklin Road, you know, very near our house.
And so I think everyone sort of just stays on

(02:17):
that main drag. They're the ones that do the cool
Christmas lights around Christmas time. I will say, what is
worse than having Halloween decorations upstates?

Speaker 3 (02:26):
And that's the people that had the signs up no
Lolly's here.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Because I saw a few of those in my area
and I was like, do we really have to spend the.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Time saying there's nothing for you here?

Speaker 5 (02:36):
It gives them something to talk about, and sago, yes,
that's right, no lollly.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
He believe in that Halloween it's been so commercialized. Dana
Davis coming up and we're going.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
To chat with the captain of the Tongue and Rugby
League team. And for Noah Blakes, back in the days,
it was pretty funny.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
And when we first started out with Three Houses Down,
we recorded our first single and it was a tom
And song called fort And back in the days, you
wouldn't remember this as or a button stace.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
I'm sure you would.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Back in the moors, they would have like music stores
and you could literally go in, put their headphones on
and just like play CDs that are on the wall.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
Yeah, it was like a listening station kind of at
the library, like at the library, but they had them
at the CD store? Are you talking about when you
know you could go in and that's That's kind of
was the marketing, wasn't it. That was just how you
listen to songs and go, oh, okay, I'll buy it. Yeah,
makes sense if you're wanting a whole album.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
If you want a whole album, because you couldn't just
go buy singles like you know, like now you can
just download a single, but then you have to buy
the album. And if the album stuck but you just
wanted it for that one song, have no choice, mate,
go to buy it. But when we recorded the CD,
I didn't understand how things work. I just thought that,
you know, artists will go into the CD store and

(03:56):
drop off the CDs and then they sell it at
the Remember back in Hunter's Corner this is correction. I
thought it was my BIG's but it was Sounds back
in Hunter's Corner and and the guy Philip used to
work there.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
I went over to him.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
I was like, hey, Philip, look, we just recorded our
our song for I think you can sell it over
the counter. And it's like, do you have a distribution deal?
I'm like, what's that. There are ways, and there are ways,
but you got to go through this, this and that
and long as them at the market. Yeah, also them
at the markets. But then you know, I was a
bit too shy to do that. But that's the hustle

(04:34):
you had to hustle to really get your music out
there because YouTube wasn't really a thing.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Then, you know what I'm saying. And then he goes,
you know, I'll do your favor.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
I'll just take one city and and I'll just play
it in store and if anyone about it, then I
could just send them away. I'm like, oh, thanks for that, Philip.
But it was just like, you know, I had a
moment thinking about stores like my Bicks Sounds. I think
there was another one called im See you know or
Google Groovy. Yeah, and they didn't do them like that

(05:04):
no more. And that was a hangout place for all
of us kids, like we couldn't buy anything, we couldn't
afford it. But how you put on some pretty flash
headphones and you listen to music and you're like, fuck,
this is cool.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
Actually, like the vibe of those places as well, you
still have them, like, I know, real groovy and everyone
just sort of goes there. You listen to music. It's
just like times different. We're not going, oh please picture things.
It's not like, you know, a kind of JD sports
kind of thing like I'm.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Here to buy someone. I'm just here to vibe. See
what happens.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
You're right about that hang out and it's like a
tribe before you buy too. That doesn't happen often unless
you go to you know, one of those body shops
and you get to try the tests.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Other than that body shop for your ears. I like it.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
For me.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
The the closest store that I can say gave me
that experience was the Waehouse.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
They used to have all of the c really said, wow,
they used to have all the CDs there. And I
remember why we're talking about that.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
That one's going to end up in the movie like
remember Once What Becomes the Broken Haded the the sequel
to Once the Warriors. They go into the record shop
and she starts singing it only happens so you can't
do them in the Warhouse.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Oh, you know, put some respect on the warehouse.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
Isn't here on the yeah Sounds Queen Street. I saw
Redhead Kingpin in there.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Yeah, were.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Sounds music stores the good Times. Big game this week
in Ken we take on song. We're lucky enough to
be talking to the captain of the Tongue and team
Adam for Noah Blake.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Hey, Malola Lake, captain.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
And how is your team looking, Mighty Tongua.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
No, look, we've been training, Will getting ready for this
week a big game. Obviously the door dive for both
teams are we're expecting a big games hopefully.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
So I can't wait, can't wait.

Speaker 6 (06:55):
I love playing in these big games.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
You want to like being, you know, captain of this team.

Speaker 6 (07:01):
It's pretty special for myself, you know, obviously grew up
supporting the team and you know obviously watching it like
old captains like you know, and obviously Jason and Will
and uh, you know, it's it's pretty stressure to be
able to captain alongside Jason as well. You know, he's Igon,

(07:21):
He's teams there. He was the one that started the
tange for the international game and he brought it back
to life. And you know, like I said, special, just
to get to learn of him and see the way
he gets about it.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Would you say that playing at go Media as home
for the Talent.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Team Oh, probably like a home. I work from home.
We're going to get to playing in time. You know,
we have a stadium over there, could still flavor.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
I don't know to.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Some people are maybe yeah, I don't know how much
time to get in there. Maybe, but no.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Yeah, but it's definitely definitely good getting to see all
the Thomas.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Yeah, I'm sure you've seen the flags everywhere in the houses.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
But you know, because Charlie, he's quite jealous of you, actually, edit,
and you know he's he's actually prepared a little something
on what he would say to hype the team up
in the changing room before they go on this weekend.
So he's just gonna do that for you right now.
And and you tell us how that is, Yeah, whether
it's good enough. All right, hype the team up, Charlie.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
All right, boys, come in, come in, everyone, come in,
come in together.

Speaker 6 (08:33):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
This is a tough game.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
We prepared well for this, and this is my first day,
my first game as captain. All right, you boys, pick
it up, pick your nuts up?

Speaker 3 (08:43):
All right? What pick it up? Boys? Okay, we're going
up the middle. That's where the week all right, up
the guts, no guts, no glory.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Hey, hey, toy, make sure you passed the ball nice
there was it was.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
It was go up the guts, no guts, guts.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Pick up the nuts.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
I wanted to say, I wanted to see what Adan like.
You know me as a captain, you know what I mean.
Let's say this is the scenario here. It's like down
to seventy eight minutes Adan, and you know you guys
are down by four points.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
You're in there, You're in there, You're on their zone.
You know what are you saying to your boys right now?

Speaker 1 (09:26):
You can't say, ah, no, I'll just get to action.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Give me the I'll do.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
Yeah after guards just like that. Also, I see it's
your birthday next week, so how about an early birthday
present with a wind.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
One bet oh Hi, thanks so much for talking to us, eden.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Na, No, no, thank you guys for having me off
after Dog's pray. Good luck for this week in bro.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
By the way, how are you feeling after that, Charlie, Babe,
baby bad? Bring on the weekend, Charlie, who had a
real moment the other day, didn't you when you saw
Celendion and Adele and embrace and hold each other's faces
and cry together and then you made a bit of.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
A confession to us. What was that confession, Charlie?

Speaker 4 (10:19):
My confession is this, Like, it doesn't matter how tough
you are, or how gangster you think you are, how muscly, whatever,
it doesn't matter. I know that deep down, I know
there's muscles in, there's stubbornness.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
You love Celindion. It's my guilty pleasure. You're guilty pleasure.
Do you think you're speaking for the gangsters?

Speaker 5 (10:51):
By everybody, there's the one that really hits like you
play it loud in.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
You you know I'm not gonna lie. I have Celindion
in my playlist, gym playlist. You know this is really yeah,
because you're pumping weight different temposts for you know, different movements.
So what would you do for this song? This is
warm down.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
And stretch Stretch, Celene Stretch. I don't know you had
those feelings about Celendia. I love her.

Speaker 5 (11:18):
I just I just I find my heart will go
on gets so overdone, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
That's my only issue there. But yeah, girl, she can
sing right, she can, and she's beautiful. Oh you're so sweet, Charlie.
And the thing is just like we all.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Have like an artist or a song where you're like
you would never ever if you were past the ox cord,
you never put it on in front of people, like yeah,
you don't want them.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
To have to really know them.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Mate, Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're not going to catch me slipping.
And that's how I feel about my guilty pleasure artist.
You may know her or predict her because I had
a dream about her. It's Sabrina Carpenter.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
I don't know why. It just feel consult but you
are only that catch me putting her on.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
In front of people, just messaging her on Instagram at
four o'clock in the morning.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Yeah, oh but I forgot about that.

Speaker 5 (12:18):
Yeah, so yeah, you know I love my nineties hip hop,
you know, soul music and be proud, you know, put
that on Prince at least kids whatever, And then you
just find me going just all out to this song.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Can be around away with me and you can't be
ashamed of islands.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
I've got another random one note later take it to
her eighties place. Yeah see this is.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
It's definitely not the song you suggest to the DJ.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Place. I reckon to Joe and I can make a
mix out of that. What do you listen to this?

Speaker 7 (13:05):
Part, Oh do you guys feel that?

Speaker 2 (13:15):
I think I felt that guilty pleasures? You won't admit it,
but it's time to do it now, get it off
your chest.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
I know that it's in your playlist somewhere, and well
the boys. When you're writing with the boys, you're definitely
skipping past.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
This artist who is already we've got Peter Satira. Yeah, yeah,
that's what we're talking. Tix A tow double we want
to know stays as Zorah and Charlie.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Trying to get it off your chest doesn't matter. We're
going to catch you slip, and it's time to admit
what is your guilty pleasure?

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Because you know, for us it's it's pretty varying. For me,
it's Brenda Carpenter.

Speaker 5 (13:54):
You know, songs and artists that you might not expect,
you know, not particularly on brand for you. I remember
when I first got together my husband, my sister was
at first confused and then really impressed when my husband
played this song say now my's fire.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
She's like, Oh, he's that guy, he's got rain.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
There's been so many good Texes on A to Double Low.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Glory of Love's where I got.

Speaker 7 (14:31):
Water.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
For me, it's a Glory of Love com what about
this on You're still the.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Worst, You're still.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Beggar, You're still to give me a kiss?

Speaker 5 (14:53):
I just get mad that it has been cheated on
her after that.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
That rude this man, I just love this song. It
shouldn't be a guilty pleasure.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
Push the button, Sugar Mats and the Elevator was the
praist song in the.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
Band in the pub, like three hours of Down doing
that to sing it. He's got a high voice.

Speaker 5 (15:19):
We got Logan's one here so that it's a story
from Logan. I'm a forty plus Cocada mardy male who
sports cume gum boots, swan Driy's beanies, has an eprow
et cetera. And my guilty pleasure song is I want
it that way by the backstrip boys, tell me why.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
You have good taste?

Speaker 5 (15:42):
Logan down, I never won to dance along to nothing better.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
Imagine the logan being the only one in the pub
dancing to the song.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
It was a bro logan.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
The bits fine, what about.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Like when you get nat.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Yeah, but it's a male that's like, don't you wish
your girlfriend was hold?

Speaker 8 (16:08):
Like, don't this is a good guys. This is a
good one.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
What about this You've got to be whizz.

Speaker 6 (16:31):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
You played this recently. Here's my eyes I do it's struck.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
It's a perfect song for that.

Speaker 5 (16:41):
As I know, I am winding up to how I
can get Desiree and Trent Dabby delicate in.

Speaker 9 (16:47):
There the.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Truck in your.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
No judgment here and like Charlie s here, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
Who you are with. You've got all the muscles. It
doesn't murter. We've all got that artis or that song.
I know everyone's looking at their playlist right now. I
should take this through. I really need to.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
We are being joined by one of the QI players.
A hit of the game this week in Jamaine a
Zuko Morning, Morning Morning.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
How are you going?

Speaker 5 (17:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (17:21):
Good? Thanks us cash it or really put it on,
didn't they? Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 6 (17:25):
It was a great turnout last week. I think, you know,
with the amount of fans that turned up, you know,
to watch the game last week. It was the whole
sold out stadium and it was good to have all
of crushes turn up and support the kiwis.

Speaker 5 (17:36):
Like you say, coming together as a team, you know things.
It was a good come together. It was a good
game last week. But what do we want to see
this week in terms of the next level.

Speaker 6 (17:45):
Well, it'll be you know, obviously good to see our
spine in a couple a bit more and obviously you know,
play the toper folly that we know we can play
and that we've been practicing throughout the week. I think
obviously last week, you know, we had a few debuts
you know, coming to which sort of you know probably
you know say profits.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
With anhel a little bit.

Speaker 6 (18:05):
But I think having having that first game being put
out of the way now, I think, you know, prep
we've had this week. The boys, you know, I certainly
look before going out there and just playing the best
stress football.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Yeah, you know, it's quite You're so right about that,
Like you know, the first games out and there's time
to relax and you know, as a player who's played before,
you know, how do you support debutants.

Speaker 6 (18:27):
I think it's just about giving them the confidence. I think,
you know, when they come into this group and especially
in the sort of environment they play within the selle
and you know, not open up to you know, the
football that they're used to playing. But I think for
you know, some of the older boys, you know within
the squad, it's all it's all just about you know,

(18:47):
giving them that confidence to be able to, you know,
play the forty. That you know obviously they be playing
back at publind And and that you come into this
environment and you know and you know you're representing not
only yourself, your family, but also your country. It's it's definitely,
you know, the next step up from obviously playing club
for you.

Speaker 5 (19:05):
But yeah, what about the Fanno because I know you
know you're connected to Christ. Did you have lots of
fun out there last week? And how's it looking for
you this week?

Speaker 6 (19:13):
Yeah, definitely had a being from Christ which I had
a holy for family turned up to the game and
I think I got about thirty tickets to.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
A whole lot of them that ended up buying.

Speaker 6 (19:26):
Tickets before it was even sold out.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
So it was good to play back.

Speaker 6 (19:29):
Home and take the support of a lot of my
family back there, come on, come and come and watch.
Obviously myself played live, so this week obviously I don't
I don't have to watch family here in Auckland, but
I've got a few friends that are going to become
supported and come watch the game, So yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
Don't worry, Jamaine. I grew up in Adannui.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
I know that you just you got twenty out of
new people, they become one hundred in terms of the volume.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
And we will bring it.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
Don't you worry, because we've got the tongue on voice
is going to be singing.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
Loud and proud.

Speaker 5 (19:58):
But kalka, congratu relations. We're looking forward to our Kiwi team.
Just go next level and we so appreciate you having
accorded with us this morning.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
Appreciated.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
There was Jermaine as Zako from the QI team.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Go thanksplicating Well that's Jermaine, but it's.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
The name, does you A Flebel Hudson might not immediately
mean much to you, but you'd probably recognize him. Flewel
Hudson was world famous in New Zealand after a drink
driving ad he started, He started and it went viral.
So here's a bit of a clip that you might
remember from back in the day.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
You know, I can't your christ chips Good WEEKO sposy, oh.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
The old ghost chips. Come on, bro, don't lie to me.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
I know everybody used to say that you know somewhere
around the wall to you bro, you guys were saying it,
don't lie to me. And if you still don't recognize him,
you might recognize him by this line, what are you doing?

Speaker 2 (21:06):
I've been in tunalizing a really complicated situation, and my,
what are you all about?

Speaker 3 (21:12):
I don't think you should drive? I do remember that?

Speaker 4 (21:16):
See you know what I mean. So the ad went
viral with millions and millions of views on YouTube, to
a point where Flavel made headlines with a whole heap
of TV time, And you know, he was on TV
talking about this ad and they were getting him to
rehearse it.

Speaker 7 (21:34):
I've been internalizing a really complicated situation and.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
That I'm giving you.

Speaker 5 (21:42):
How many people would quote that to you on a
daily basis.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
It's a sixplators dumb man.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
They add won awards and Flabbel Hudson scored a role
in the Kiwi film Mountain Zion the following year, and
then you know it started, Timmy Morris, Stan Walker and
many more. Now Flevel lives in Rot and works as
a builder, and he's heapily involved in Kapa Hakka.

Speaker 5 (22:07):
How good one of the Flavelfano d'awa harden up here.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Yeah, yeah, we remember you, and we remember the time,
and I don't want.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Your gag tip spoon egg. You know, I went to
Trevor Scott a couple of nights ago. Yeah, seine, seine.
I don't even know what that means, but all the.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
Peo, that's what all the kids were yelling. I did
also read that there were twenty one noise complaints to
Auckland Council.

Speaker 5 (22:38):
Some people who live around the eating Park area. How
are they supposed to know there's going to be a
stadium plank in the middle of the place where they
already bought a house?

Speaker 6 (22:46):
I know.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Well, some residents were saying that, you know, with the
amount of people there and the amount of jumping, because
I swear that's pretty much all Trevor Scott did was jump,
so everyone followed suit.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
They said it felt like an earthquake.

Speaker 5 (22:59):
Yeah, but if kind of SI teen teen fifteen, I mean, yeah, anyway, Yeah,
not talking about the nimbi's around.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
There exactly, but you know, I felt like a bit
of a nimbi in the crowd space. You know, I'm
looking around and I thought, oh my gosh, I am
everyone's auntie.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
I'm everyone's auntie.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
And you know, there were fifteen year old girls right
in front of me, singing every single word I love.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
I don't really know most of the words.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
How many songs you know to too?

Speaker 3 (23:27):
Yeah? Not even kidding? Yeah, there's.

Speaker 4 (23:34):
Then is So you're you're that auntie that was in
the car when they were like you're looking around like.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
They didn't jump because.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
I like, I have a bit of a sow back
at the moment, seven fifty I have readypting.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
Guys, I'm going to be young again.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
I got invited to my uncle's fifty fourth birthday party
this Saturday.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
You know you. Usually i'd go for maybe a little
while and then leave because he's my uncle. But I'm
going to stay.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
I'm going to stay because one thing about these these
fifty something year old First of all, they can party.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Second of all, after a few they'll be like, oh,
you're so young, You've got so much live And I
just really need that right now after the Trevor Scott
thing on Wednesday.

Speaker 5 (24:21):
So you want to be in a different situation and
feel younger, and so you're going to go and use
them and save.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
All the light out of them. Yeah, let's say that's
the first place.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
I don't trust that a zero When it comes to
this because the oldiest man, they got the stamina together
all the way.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
I know they're going to last year.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
I know, and you can't be like, I'm young and
your uncle's going to be like, is there a way
you're going to be at nine o'clock for ma likes
stay on, Michael, I know, I know.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
So we'll see how that goes.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
But yeah, they'rey excited for so Trevor Scott, I was
hearing about when people are finishing.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
High school and what you're they're in and.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
Now it's going to be the youngest one of a party.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Baby, Yeah, we are.

Speaker 10 (25:02):
Stays A, Zorah and Charlie going down this weekend for
one of us on the team producer and she is
running a half merry song.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Guys, let's go and come on and Jason and I come.
I'm just going to go back to that.

Speaker 5 (25:20):
I think I've done I've done that one once maybe twice.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
But I know the feeling and I can.

Speaker 5 (25:26):
See you've done all the preps, so there's nothing to
be worried about. What But once you see those the
setups going down at Victoria Park and they're putting up
the tense, it's a little bit intense, A little bit scary,
isn't it.

Speaker 9 (25:39):
Yeah, I've already seen the signs for the road closures,
and that's from two am.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
The roads are closed.

Speaker 9 (25:45):
And it just reminds me that I actually have to
be at the Fury terminal at five aaby.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Because yeah, starts in Deponporort.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
I don't know why she's so nervous about the time.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Everybody, but she gets up at like four am for work.
So for this one here, you're better than other people.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Yes, yeah, that is very true. Hey, and so what
sort of piece are you running it? I just want
to finish it.

Speaker 9 (26:08):
I'm gonna I'm maybe for like six thirty.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
That's a good what's the finished time for that?

Speaker 9 (26:14):
I don't know, like two hours fifteen?

Speaker 3 (26:17):
O can?

Speaker 7 (26:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (26:18):
Yeah too? You what you're hoping to get under two
and a half hours? Yeah? Under two and a half hours.
Ago that's just a big tech.

Speaker 9 (26:24):
Yeah, originally it was just a furnish So now to
actually have a bit more of a time.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
Okay, how do you twenty one? Okay? Are you twenty one?

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Am? I?

Speaker 3 (26:34):
Yeah? Am I thirty?

Speaker 5 (26:35):
You're really going through an extential crisis over there, aren't.
When I was thirty something must have been thirty something.
I did it in two five.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
Just gonna say I believe in you.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
You push it through the harbor is horrible. They have
a bridge but then coming down.

Speaker 9 (26:53):
But honestly, I was driving through Dimonport and there's three
hills before you get to the harbor bridge.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
But I know they're not hills when you driving.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
You're running them, you're like, rah, this hell can go
back to death.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Oh honestly, And not to make it about me, but
I definitely couldn't run three kilometers without stopping. So you're
doing a lot better. Anyone out there that is running
any length for this Auckland Marathon, it's it's incredible and
you should be really proud because it's a lot of
hard mahi running.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
So go hard this weekend.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Will you hear me Winjing on Monday because they live
in the area and roads are going to be closed probably.

Speaker 5 (27:30):
I also want to say, and you've done great preparation.
You also haven't talked about it too much and you
haven't shared stinky food that you're like that is not
real food that astronauts really only should eat like the
other two.

Speaker 9 (27:41):
So hey, thank you.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Yeah, and We're proud of you. Let's go.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
And Charlie, who's done the unthinkable. We think he's complained
to us and to you. You know that he can't
go and watch Tonga play this weekend against the It's
a big deal. It is a big deal deal. That's
why all your family's going, and you were tasked with
your own responsibility and they're just looking after your son.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
Yeah. So I looked at their tickets.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
I was like one, two, three, four, five, five tickets
and I'm like, you're missing one, Like he's not going,
And then everyone looks at me answers, I'm not going.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
I got to stay home. Look after No, you're not going. Yeah,
my four year older. That broke my heart because.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
Every night, you know the top well serious, I was shattered.
I was like so sad because if you know, I
am the number one tongue and supporter they.

Speaker 6 (28:45):
Won.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
He's really going there.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
No, maybe I'm not, I'm not like, but you know
in my heart I am. But then you know, we
talked about it, and I just want to make a
massive shout out to Shenice Wiki who works over it
and he's rugby league. She heard this on are yesterday
and she had a little giggle to herself, and you
know me like, if there is a what's saying, If

(29:07):
there's a world, there's a way, right.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
So then I emailed her, what have you done? There's
a will?

Speaker 4 (29:12):
You're worm your way whatever it all costs. I emailed
her and I'm like, look, I am sorry to do this.
My whole family and my potential babysitters are all going
to be at the game. Is that okay if I
bring my four year old? Because I was given a
VIP corporate box.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
Ticket driven in privilege, I know, so a corporate box ticket,
but you couldn't take it because you were on the
duties of looking after your son. I know.

Speaker 4 (29:45):
Then after we you know, we were talking about the
game and like there was a lot of gee ups,
you know, because I thought to myself, I want to
just try my luck. I emailed Chennie and I asked
her and she goes, you know what, I heard it
on air and we felt sorry for you.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
So bring him along. What's his name? His name is
not he's four years old, And yeah, done sent me
a ticket.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
So I guess what, guys, you're taking your four year
old son to a v OP corporate box just so
you can see the game.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
Yeah, man, I have.

Speaker 5 (30:20):
The next progression is that the finer goes. Actually, I
think you'll find I'm going to the corporate box. No,
I can hang out with the Auntie Challenge.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
The worst person they have up there anyways, taste because
he doesn't need anything and he doesn't drink anything because
he's on this challenge.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
So it's just such a way. Hey, it's about the game, man,
That's what it's about. You got to go there for
the game winning.

Speaker 5 (30:41):
It's about winning what you want to do exactly.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
He's like, it's a Friday, bro, can't complain. Hey, well
I think no. We'll have fun. Surely we'll find that
Auntie the latest celebrity goss from around the world. Flavor breakfast.
Oh m goal om Okay.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
So Halloween is a good chance people dress up for
something supposedly scary.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
When you look, I'm really amazing in a sex see.

Speaker 5 (31:16):
Have a look at this tweet that I've just shared
with you guys, because it is the next generation. Tyler,
Halee Bailey, and Coiler Ray have all dressed up as
Hailee Berry inspired characters. So Tyler is Halle Berry from
the Flintstones and Hallie Bailey as halle Berry from Die

(31:37):
Another Day in the Bond Movie and The Coiler Ray
as halle Berry and Catwoman.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
Have a look, feist your eyes. Wow, Wow, this looks
pretty good. Everyone loves Cally Berry. Ay. Oh, she was
the girl she was at That's whoever I was looking
to go. Wow, the middle child looks like a dole
almost Yeah, yeah it's Hailey. That's Hailey. Yeah, my goodness,
little memormaid. She played Little Mermaid. You know that, right, No, no,

(32:05):
I do.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
Yeah, they're really big. Dear Aliberry, Yeah she does. Yeah,
and then you go. And so halle Berry herself, she
had at my best compliment ever.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
Oh I bet it is.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
If you want to see those incredible costumes, you can
by texting o MG to eight to two double low
and and other news. This is so cool and this
is a level of maturity my parents will never get to.
So Erica Bardou was honored with the Fashion Icon Award,
and presenting her accolade was none other than her former
partner Andre three thousand. So you know this outcast legend.

(32:39):
You know his name Andre, And that's what I'm sorry.

Speaker 5 (32:42):
Miss Jackson is all about yes, those two breaking out
and I'm sorry to her mum, missus Jackson.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
So you know him getting up there and saying this,
the speech was incredible. He starts off by saying he
was one of the first people that she rung to
say that she was going to be honored and listen
to his kind word.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Erica is one of the most original and unique human
beings I've ever known. Her style is truly original. She's
an inspiration to everyone she meets. She's an iconoclast, an outcast, warrior,
rule breaker, educator, activist, magician, seeer, songwriter, singer, mother and

(33:23):
a great, great friend.

Speaker 3 (33:26):
How many of your ex's would talk about you like that?
You know what I mean, I'm not good on there.
They've got to that place.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
One hundred and this is a huge award, the Fashion
Icon Award at the twenty twenty four c if DA Awards,
and that is your om GOSK. We're very proud this
morning of Dame Lisa Carrington because she has been awarded
one of the Olympic movement's highest honors. She received the
A n o C Outstanding Supporting Career Award, and what

(33:56):
that stands for is the Associate of National Olympic Committee
Awards NC.

Speaker 5 (34:04):
Yeah, the big boss of the Olympics basically, and he's
has never won this before, I know.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
So this was over in Portugal and there was actually
a representative of all two hundred and six National Olympic
Committees there, so it was a huge event as well
as the president and Lisa Carrington. Oh, we love her.
And this is what she said after winning the award, trying.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
To get a little bit better every day all the time.
And yeah, I guess it's just looking after yourself, looking
after your body. And I think it's also about just
loving what I do. I love sports, I.

Speaker 9 (34:37):
Love the Olympics, and having that she just allows me
to keep having the motivation to keep turning up.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
But you know, let's talking about looking after her body
like I was seeing her body.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
She's got a roof. Man, I came in here.

Speaker 5 (34:53):
She shoulders because she works. Then also, zre A did
bench for the kg yesterday. Oh the thing is that
around Lisa other men men instead of going, oh, look
at my arms, I don't know a little bit puny
where hoodie.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Congratulations Dame Lisa Carrington.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
Okay, guys. Public service announcement. This weekend, you will.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
Be able to experience why Wetter Yeah, and I'm talking
about Why Wetter Filmal Resort. They shut its stores for good.
They tried to bring it back, it didn't happen. No, okay,
there's not going to be a new Why Wetter Theilmal Resort,
which least be honest, we've.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
All been there, like you know, we sort of grew
up there.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
They had the if you living local law oky dangerous slides.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yeah you know, if you know, you know, I've got
some bad memories.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
Man, bad wedgies is what I got.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
It's the thing you had to be careful, you had
to make sure you cross the leagus. But what's really
really epic is there's a place and called Adrenaline Adventure Park,
So nistled along Lake Edwind is what it's called. There's
a slide coming and yes it's based on the whyware

(36:12):
To slide, well one of them based on it. And wow,
I mean it's not the exact same slide because it
was getting pretty headed. But to make it even more historical,
they've actually built it with pieces from slide, just like
a nod to to Wyw itself.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
Would be the Twister slide or yes on the god right. Yes.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
So they're hoping, you know, to reignite childhoods and memories
all across Northland because that's where it is, it is
based and that's where whywater was as well. So very
very exciting stuff. Take your kids to make some memories.
A couple believe it's this.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
Weekend already that it's coming out.

Speaker 4 (36:55):
Yeah, oh man, just as long as memories then it's
like that will haunt you for all I know.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
And then just say well it's the safe fuse. And
Stacey is going to a quiz night everybody, so everyone
be weare because they're gonna hate to see her coming.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
She knows a thing or two and.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
She's competitive, best person to have.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
On on a team, to be honest.

Speaker 5 (37:19):
Hang in a minute, No one's gonna want us to
win because this is for the school and we're on
the school board team because I'm so they're going to
get school boards. Yeah they're going to be the school
board rigg dat, but we didn't.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
It's just we're really why do they split you guys up?
Why are you guys a team? No one wants to
be friends same those.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
One day you all the series, but all the piops
are like, please, don't get me with someone on the
school board.

Speaker 5 (37:44):
Yeah, but hord they like us during health and safety inspections.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
Oh god, and quiz nights as well. But yeah, you're
gonna have to rig it Stace. You know, if I
was in this quiz night.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
And if I was in Stacey's team, I bet you
the whole team will hate me.

Speaker 3 (38:03):
Yeah, bra, come on, they're so competitive.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
If I was just say I know that I know
the answer to that, and if I get it wrong, bro,
and when they give their score cards up to the
quiz master and they come back, oh, you're everything was
right except for answer number six. Yeah, everybody will look
at me and be like, Bro, you gave us Charlie,
you gave us answer answer six.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
Wow, you're really good. You're complicated. You just you just
gave out the entire scenario. You gave us six. You're worries.
Go to the corner, face the wall.

Speaker 4 (38:36):
Oh my gosh, this is trauma.

Speaker 3 (38:40):
