when people are.

Sick, and we talk about me disciplining my son.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
It was all happening with Air Flavor. We at our
winner Sonya, and she chose a suitcase and she ended

Speaker 1 (01:03):
All happening here ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
Ah, boys and girls, everybody.
Speaker 5 (01:09):
Oh yeah, what a day, What a Friday day.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
And we're doing it every Friday this month. We're gonna
makes it takes flight.
Speaker 6 (01:15):
To hym.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
The ladies and gentlemen. It is here in the ring.
You know what.
Speaker 6 (01:36):
There's been a massive build up to this, to this
game right now. Okay, so you remember when Scottie Stays's
husband Keman, right.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
And they had in the ring. They went hit the head,
Scotty one.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
You set it up, you said, how you put in
some wood tang.
Speaker 6 (01:53):
And then on old comments we gets talk a lot
of smoke masters. I will smoke you both, ladies and
gentlemen in the ring here today, live and directing flavor
we have couldn't.
Speaker 7 (02:09):
Be Oji the big boss.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
I think you'll find out so and don't ask. I'm older.
I'm fifteen years older than her, so.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Two years older, and so little little sister things.
Speaker 5 (02:31):
Yeah, she's like, okay, so I can beat you.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
I don't know that you technically got through the finals.
But we'll do a raygun thing where you just end
up in the Olympics anyway.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
Zero, but a quick history.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
It's not as it's your first radio here you know.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
Rodo at the radio.
Speaker 7 (02:49):
Yeah, no, no, it's not. I was back with well.
I was part of the team that started Flavor, chose
the name.
Speaker 5 (02:57):
Do you know that this was very nearly called Bounce.
That's dumb.
Speaker 7 (03:02):
You know, it tested really well and I was like,
absolutely not and then we went with Flavor. But you
know from the from day one, first song in the
studio with Scribe who was in the studio at the time,
midnight and we played stand up and then we were
live nice some.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Credentials and yeah, shot for not calling the station Bounce.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
So for in the ring, it's a simple game really,
where an instrumental will play. When you think you know
who sings the song and the name of the song,
you say, you're Buzzes. Which is your name? Can we
test it out?
Speaker 4 (03:37):
Please?
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Ye?
Speaker 7 (03:38):
See, I feel my name is not a great buzzer
back here, we gosh, it's easy, it's stays.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
Is there any questions or moaning you'd like to get it?
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Take it off to me them.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
Brothers.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
You have five seconds to correctly identify who the songs
by and the name of the song. If you run
out of your five seconds, the other person gets a turn.
If you incorrectly say who sings the song or the
name of the song, it goes to the other person
to take a turn.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
So just pretend no one's listening.
Speaker 7 (04:11):
This is scary nervous anyway, Well I'm not nervous.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
Are you ready? Okay?
Speaker 2 (04:16):
For song number one? You're instrumental? Is Stace?
Speaker 6 (04:23):
I heard Stace? I heard Stace re ride We Ride three.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Three two one utash, We ride.
Speaker 6 (04:42):
The bomb?
Speaker 5 (04:43):
We've got all that.
Speaker 8 (04:49):
Isn't it?
Speaker 5 (04:49):
Because I got the name you ride right, we Ride?
I knew that. I was just waiting for you to
get it out.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
You run out of timestaces. It's going to be one point,
it's going to yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:59):
Yeah, yeah, okay, okay. Song number two.
Speaker 5 (05:09):
Your account down.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Four three smith YEP two Miami one No.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
Smith Wild West?
Speaker 8 (05:19):
Are you the wet Newlyn where we used to live
and it's still the good Bill Homestead?
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yeah? Okay, So we are even one point to Stace,
one point to her sister Tash. This is in the
ring fnase song number three.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
Paradise Mary J.
Speaker 7 (05:48):
Blige.
Speaker 5 (05:51):
No, it's not called there Come On Be Real or
four reel so re.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
No, you're actually both wrong. It's paradise, but by al.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
Yeah, let's the same.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
Yea, she is she is right, though, she is right.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
But I've got to give you half a point for
that because thank got it. You got to really, So
we will go to one other song is in the lead.
So of course, if you take this next song, you
hands down, went. If Stace does this next song, then
we will go to a decider.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Ladies, come in, touch gloves, touch gloves your corner.
Speaker 9 (06:40):
This is Prince litter.
Speaker 7 (06:41):
Red's too fast.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Wanna you have to come in every Friday now?
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Damn it?
Speaker 3 (06:55):
All right?
Speaker 5 (06:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Nice, nice relations, Sister Verus, Sister Stace, you've taken the
al again to another family member.
Speaker 5 (07:05):
Oh yes, like I give them more, you know. Yeah, no, no, no, no,
that's true. Like, don't worry.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
There'll be a rematch. It'll be one o'clock in the
morning at your house, and I will.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Lose the dancer.
Speaker 10 (07:17):
I'm gonnay.
Speaker 6 (07:20):
Absolutely, Okay, guys. I got a little thing that I
want to put out there to you, guys. Okay, there's
a lot of great areas with this. So my son
he wore my jacket to school because he left the
school jacket at school obviously, and in the jacket had
some money. While I was sitting on the kitchen table.
He comes over to me and he hands me over
(07:43):
the change, which was fifty dollars, and I'm like, bro,
what's going on here?
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Like, what's this day?
Speaker 6 (07:48):
Oh, this is the money that was in your jacket.
But I bought the boys some McDonald's was the food,
and I was like, how much money was in there
to even start with? He said there was one hundred
and twenty dollars in Yeah, this was one hundred and
twenty dollars that I didn't know about.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
I forgot about that was in the jacket.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Yeah, that happens to me all the time too, but
with a five dollars, not you know, one hundred and twenty.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
So I don't even forget about a five.
Speaker 6 (08:11):
Yeah, exactly, forgot about the whole thing. But then I
was like, why would you even spend seventy dollars on
your friends? So there were makers, and you know how
you're in the heat of the moment and you just
want to shout the boys. I get that, right, but
we're really disciplined them about the You should have let
us known that, you know, you spent money that wasn't yours,
so we're already done all that part. But then again,
(08:32):
after we did that, you know, he was really, you know,
remorseful about the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
They have little saving him and the kids.
Speaker 6 (08:39):
They put all the little money together for Christmas and whatnot.
So he was like, that just takes seventy dollars from
my savings. And I'm like, no, no, that's not the point.
You know, next time, just let us know that you
do this. But then again, we've opened the doors to
the kids. They're like, hey, whatever it is. I just
wanted us to be honest with us at all times.
And I appreciate that he came and gave the change.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
And he told me because he could have kept the money,
he could have kept all of it.
Speaker 6 (09:06):
So those are the great areas, you know. I mean, like, Okay,
we've disciplined him about using the money without even letting
us know. But then again, he came and gave me change,
and he told me the exact amount that was in
the jacket when he could have lied, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
So it's like, what do I do in this case?
Speaker 3 (09:23):
Well, so you're not going to take him up on
his offer to pay you back.
Speaker 6 (09:26):
Nah, I didn't want to do that because this part
of this is my fault too, like I shouldn't have
left it in there, or checked the pockets before given
him the jacket to wear the school. And then again like,
had he not gave me the fifty bucks, I wouldn't
have known that. I wouldn't have known money was even
in the jackets stuff.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Okay, So my honest thoughts to someone without kids and
he's a living, should he say he's a living that
is someone who has literally taken money as I remember
doing it very vividly. I just don't think. I don't
think it's all good. I don't think it's all good
because they will have phones now. And he knew, he
(10:06):
knew it was wrong. That's why he came to you
a little way after he had shouted the boys macers
to fess up that he had spent money.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
And this isn't just like some pies of the dairy.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
This is seventy dollars that he just went and spent,
knowing that money exactly. He knew it wasn't his money.
He didn't phone you to go, Dad, you've left some
money here? Can I shout the boys? He he just
had the money. So maybe his plan was to not
actually tell you, but him being like honest and knowing
that would be the wrong thing to do, he's decided,
actually I should probably, you know, once it wore off
(10:38):
that he was the cool guy in front of the
boys that shouted the meccas, I think he was probably like,
I've got to just be honest with that. So I
think it's right that you gave like lectured, you know,
sent him down to tell him, because.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
You know, for me.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
Back in the day, oh, I would have been in trouble.
I had spent that sort of money without asking.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Just take him up on that offer that he gives
you something back pays it back.
Speaker 6 (11:03):
True, so he knows a but you know then again
like I don't want to get to you know, I'm
a good parent, I reckon, you know, I mean to
a certain ext for sure, you are for sure, But
you know, I don't want to scare the kids when
I'm like, you shouldn't have that, because then that you
did it already wanted to be honest.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Yeah, I think any parent who worries about how they're reacting,
that's a sign you're a good kid, a good parent.
You're trying, you're trying your best. Yeah, so you're open.
I don't mean you've done it now.
Speaker 6 (11:31):
I'm open to ideas. Always ate two double low, one
hundred full flavor.
Speaker 5 (11:38):
Don't have cash, man, what do you doing?
Speaker 4 (11:40):
Just just be nice? Who even has cash these days?
Speaker 5 (11:43):
And that much in a jacket? Honestly?
Speaker 4 (11:45):
Who you know when I need a jacket? I'm cold?
If you got any chet, push up for money.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Charlie who had a situation with his son who returned
fifty dollars but did spin seventy dollars that he found
on his friends to have some food. So he did
come up fiss up, be honest, but he did still
also spend the seventy dollars, So a lot of gray areas.
It texts from and says Mordana, Charlie, your son has
(12:15):
figured out the golden rule. Asked for forgiveness later, but
I agree that open communication is gold and really important
for them to come to you and think second chances
for kids and reminding them again of the lesson next time,
like no, you could do no devices also what has
been suggested. Yeah, I think you did the right thing, Charlie,
Like you know, I want him to be scared of you.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Yeah, totally, but I think he offered to pay you back,
So why I tend dow to.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
Offer and I'll take them.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
I might take that. I'll take that offer.
Speaker 6 (12:45):
Do you think is there a rule where it's too
late when you get ay about that seventy dollars?
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Kind of just I think a good thing is I've
been thinking about it so that they know we don't
just drop these conversations once.
Speaker 10 (12:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Have I done the best thing so you know as
parents is we go hang on. I just want to
check in that you get that. Ideally, you ask for
permission first, and that's what this text is. More than
our job as parents never ends. I'd sit my child
down and say thank you for fixing up.
Speaker 5 (13:12):
If the situation happens again.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
It's always better to ask for permission first than forgiveness later.
Speaker 5 (13:18):
Keep the trust up.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Yeah, I think, go and get a payback no interest payback.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
There you go, lucky.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
Any payment plans stays, Azora and Charlie.
Speaker 3 (13:33):

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Congratulations Sonya te.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
Hitting to the gold floats four nights all thanks to Look.
I kind of need a bit of help actually, because
I was off sick from work this week. So many people,
so many people are getting sick. And it's quite funny
because the minute I became sick, I had Charlie tell
(17:18):
me to rest, I had Stace tell me to take community.
I had and producer. Oh no, actually, Anna told me rest.
Charlie told me to work out, workout, sweet out the sickness.
It's like every single person comes at you with what
they deem a good remedy, you know what I mean,
Maybe it works for them.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
Usually it probably does.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
So I wanted to know what is your sickness remedy
because when I came, when I went back to my house,
my home, my flat, I have one Korean flatmate and
one Japanese flatmate. Straight away they applied me with broth.
They're like, this is the remedy. So I'm quite interested
at how different and diverse literally people's remedies are for
(17:59):
when someone gets and I love the help.
Speaker 5 (18:02):
Yeah, So you want to know what they are.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
I'm still, you know, still slightly shaking it.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
So I do want to know, did you do vix
on the soles of your feet? Then you go to
sleep like with socks on? It's what you don't suggest that, No,
I know, but it's a thing.
Speaker 6 (18:15):
This is one time my oldest son, Rob, he was
really sick and I walked into the room one time
and it smelled like onions. But where's this onion smell
coming from? So seeing he had my wife had onions.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Well, socks and socks on, and I don't know what
I should put in there.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
But surprisingly, the next day apparently it draws the toxins
from the body.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
There you go, so the next day it was.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
Good to go. Yeah, I'm just saying. I'm just saying.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
Man, it was like an old wives towel, well.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
The old school, you know, head over a bowl with
a towel.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Okay ate two double oh eight hundred full flavor.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
What is your remedy? Push it on me, tell me
I welcome it. Paying for a doctor? Nah?
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Free advice?
Speaker 4 (19:03):
Yeah, how do.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
You How does your household beat the sniffles this time
of year when you get sick?
Speaker 4 (19:11):
What is it that everyone tells you around you to do.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
Yeah, and got some good tics in here.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Yeah, I quite like this one that sees onions on
the feet works, but it doesn't work with the deadly
man flu? What does though, Charlie serious? What he told
me to do when I was off work sick? I'll
go sweat it out.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
Yeah, go give your gyms to other people at the gym.
Another one here on the text.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Shut off straight lemon juice every couple on the phone.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
Yeah, so, Lania, that's that's what you do at your house.
Speaker 12 (19:48):
No, yes, it was my mom who tells me does
Oh yeah, definitely.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
Why do you think it works?
Speaker 10 (19:59):
What's on one day?
Speaker 12 (20:00):
You're that's to your normal self?
Speaker 3 (20:02):
Wow?
Speaker 5 (20:03):
So lemon shots?
Speaker 12 (20:03):
How often every couple of hours? Health cure?
Speaker 4 (20:09):
Couldn't you just do like lemon and honey and warm water?
Speaker 2 (20:12):
So it's not as not as you.
Speaker 10 (20:15):
Can do that, but you're.
Speaker 3 (20:21):
What about apple side of vinegar? That's another one that's
coming on the text.
Speaker 12 (20:27):
I do the straight lemon juice.
Speaker 5 (20:29):
Yeah, I don't want to hear anything.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
What about this one? Another type of shot? Tequila shots?
Speaker 4 (20:38):
N that's that's that's a lie.
Speaker 5 (20:41):
Or onions or conveda Alexa, but.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Tequila shots garlics come through as well. My I also
try my flatmate try to get that in me.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
I'm like, oh, eating a full garlic clothes. I don't
know if I could do it. I think I'd rather
be sick.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
That could easily happen. You do that and then tequila shots,
so sex sing off, and then you could win a
double pass Ooh, this concept fest of October at Spickeren
is nearly sold out.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
You need it, Oh, you need it?
Speaker 6 (21:09):
All right, Well, we're just having a content of our
own right on the phone line.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
You want you know what else? They need just to
get it off their chest, to get it off.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
They didn't realize that you guys are all singers too.
Like ifyone's out here writing verses. I'm so excited for Fridays.
Let's finish out the week with strong so sick.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
Yeah, so we have three who sing along and then
one wins and the so sex singer off.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
All right at first morning a tea from fang.
Speaker 5 (21:37):
Lay wait shaoed tea.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
Okay, the stage is your singers, which are so sick of.
Speaker 12 (21:49):
Sure, I'm so sick of donus for some choke costo
liping heads and Chris the financial poppole.
Speaker 10 (21:58):
This we both work?
Speaker 12 (22:00):
Hell could they be?
Speaker 3 (22:01):
Then?
Speaker 5 (22:01):

Speaker 12 (23:45):
And then I'm so sick of being a mom, so
tired and stressed. Yeah, I'm so sick of being a
mom wipinesses being a mom, so sad and lo only
break again it's during Flavor.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
Oh, you guys too hard.
Speaker 6 (24:18):
That's not not I said first.
Speaker 4 (24:20):

Speaker 6 (24:25):
Oh my gosh, bro, this is it's getting hard and

Speaker 3 (24:29):
I wish I could give it to you all, but
I'm gonna go with.
Speaker 5 (24:37):
Shanta.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
Shante, you have just won single.
Speaker 10 (24:49):
Oh my gosh, thank you so much.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
Hey, look wipping, wiping.
Speaker 5 (24:55):
No, it'll be done soon, but just feels like it's
never going to end.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
So can congratulations enjoy your night at NEO. You will
not be sick of that. Make sure that there's no
you know, you have all of the kids sorted and
you just have a good time.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Emma definitely, Stace, Azara and Charlie.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
We are so lucky here at Flavor Breakfast to be
joined by the incredible, the talented, the Sky Sport broadcaster
fresh from Paris Olympics, Courtney Tidy.
Speaker 5 (25:30):
I hook you make it the king A. You're back home.
Speaker 10 (25:34):
I'm in Sydney at the moment, So a quick visit
here and then back in.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
Wow. Okay, so wow are you going to You're not
working in Australia as well, are you?
Speaker 1 (25:46):
No?
Speaker 10 (25:46):
No, this is just a quick visit to see the Fino.
Speaker 6 (25:49):
No.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
I'm glad, Courtney. What a ride it has been.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
For the last few weeks working and experiencing the Olympics
at Paris.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
In Paris for twenty twenty four. I mean, how does
it feel? Is it sunk in yet?
Speaker 10 (26:04):
I mean it has a little bit. I've had a
little bit of time to reflect, especially on the long
plane ride back, but I just keep thinking, Wow, did
that actually happen? Was I actually lucky enough, fortunate enough
to be there and witness? I mean, so much greatness?
Speaker 3 (26:18):
Really?
Speaker 4 (26:19):
Is how I see it, Courtney.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
I need to know quick fire highlights, doesn't matter, how
many doesn't matter, if it's just one, we need to know.
Speaker 10 (26:27):
I'll say y in S seven, kicking off of that
with the gold medal, seeing the Dream Team USA Dream
Team live and in person, seeing Snoop as well, Yes,
and then I think finishing off, I got to finish
off watching Lydio co in her gold wo and then
interviewing Lisa Carrington, who became our most decorated Olympian with
(26:50):
three golds, but eight golds all up in her four Olympics.
So I mean there's so many, but they're the first
ones that stick out in my mind.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
We're waiting for the best highlight where you found your
dream man?
Speaker 4 (27:03):
Yeah, come on, we were going.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
We feel like.
Speaker 10 (27:12):
I wish got Hey, I'm back on this side of
the world now, so I'm going to bring a frinchman.
Well then that didn't and I didn't stay there either.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
Yes, true, true, true, Okay, we look ahead to other
athletes and action. The All Blacks need to show us
what's up, don't they Tomorrow they do.
Speaker 10 (27:33):
They go back to Eden Park. You know, we saw
that shock loss, even everyone we were watching it over
in France to Argentina, Scott Robinson's first loss as all
that coach as well. But you know, I think they
can get it done. We haven't lost at Eden Park
since nineteen ninety four. They're bringing in Caleb Clark, Will Jordan,
Rico Yuwani, even Sam Caine. I couldn't believe when I
(27:53):
saw him. Yeah yeah, off the bench. So they're bringing
in the big gun, so hopefully get the job done
on Saturday night.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
They don't want to be their team that loses that
Eden parkin over twenty years, that's what's happening here.
Speaker 10 (28:07):
No exactly, because that would the I think the bigger
shock loss. I mean Looding too Argentina once, yes, but
then losing to them twice at eating Plass, I just
don't see it happen.
Speaker 7 (28:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
No, well also Eden Park is they don't lose there.
That that is you know, it's been thirty years. So yeah,
a lot on the line. And when they come back,
you know, when the AB's are hurt, they come back
strong traditionally.
Speaker 5 (28:28):
And then what about our Warriors.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
They need to win against Manley Seagles just you know,
keeping the hunt for the top eight right they do.
Speaker 10 (28:37):
So we're sitting in fourteenth at the moment on the table.
We've played Manly tonight in Manly. We had that lost
last week both two points to the Dolphins. So the
Warriors they still hope everyone we need to win. We
do need other games to go our way. However, we
do need to win tonight, but we welcome back Sean
Johnson who's had a cord injury. We also have Luton
(29:00):
half is back which is great in Moncello and Montoya.
So you know, again we're stacking up our team and
hopefully they can get the job done. I can say
the weather's not great here in Sydney, so you know what,
we're probably used to it. It's just like the boys
being at home. That's a good time.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
It's all really only faith at this point.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
So thank you Courtney so much.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Courtney tity from a sky Sport who covered the Olympics
and also you know, making sure we're up to date too.
Speaker 5 (29:28):
Yeah, because Skysport will have live coverage.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Of the All Blacks versus Argentina game from six o'clock
on Saturday and the Warriors versus the Seagulls from seven
thirty to night.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
Oh, let's go. Thank you Courtney, Let's go.
Speaker 7 (29:39):
Thank you guys.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
Courtney.
Speaker 6 (29:42):
The latest celebrity goths from around the world favor breakfast.
Speaker 4 (29:46):
Oh mc mane, Oh my gosh.
Speaker 5 (29:50):
Usher.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
So, Usher has postponed the opening night of his tour.
Speaker 5 (29:55):
He's saying because of injury, his body needs to heal.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
It was only six hours out, so a lot of
people already travel together. Some people saying oh yeah, no
health before anything else. Others are saying, well, you know,
you try to back it up after having that huge residency,
although he did, you know, manage that every night. So
he says, the last thing I want to ever do
is disappoint you. The fans have been eagerly awaiting, eagerly
(30:20):
waiting for this tour to start. Whoever, I wouldn't be
the entertainer that I am if I can't physically give
you my best.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
Very true.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
See, that's a true fate.
Speaker 6 (30:27):
Like the hard part shows that he does a lot
of dancing, has set is quite a life and that's
what makes him men.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
So if he's injured, bro, sorry guys.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
But only hours out from performing in Atlanta.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
Yeah, that is quite close. I very very close to
cut it.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
In other news, Huge News Friends star Matthew Pierre who
passed away very recently, there is an update to what
actually happened to him.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
According to law enforcement sources.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
Those arrests happened early this morning and they include a doctor.
ABC News learning multiple people are now facing federal charges
connection to Matthew Perry's death.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
Yes, so they did find ketamine in his system and
although he was prescribed it to help with his mental
health and small doses I think some of the people
around him turned to very off market type of drugs
and their yeah, and that's why five people have been arrested.
They will be investigated. So as that story unfolds, we'll
(31:25):
let you know.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
So we've had the Olympics and now we look forward
to the Para Olympics starting in Paris. So when you're
watching those Olympic games, you tend to go what could
have been? Just if only I've seen people online going
if only my parents got me into gymnastics, and I
must have.
Speaker 5 (31:42):
My mom was a.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
Gymnast, but she didn't like the parallel bars. That was
where she sort of literally fell over. She's scared of
the height of it. But then I was like, look
and then I ended up as short as her.
Speaker 5 (31:54):
Some gymnastic ability.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
I'm pretty much Simone Biles if only someone chucked me
in there.
Speaker 5 (31:58):
But that's the thing.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
When do these Olympic athletes start a lot of them,
they say the average days is.
Speaker 5 (32:05):
About eleven that they started.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
Then around thirteen they start to get kind of provincial honors,
and then seventeen tends to be the time when they go, Okay,
I've got a goal. I'm actually going to go hard
in this sport, and then they tend to the average
age for making a national team and this is around
the world is around twenty two.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
Oh so bit of elite start let bloom.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Miss no, because they're still pretty young to start at
eleven a sport.
Speaker 4 (32:33):
And then you start.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
To really go, wow, this, this this kid is special.
You know, they've really got something going on around thirteen,
but twenty two for national teams. I feel like us
here and oh, we can make national teams younger than that.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
No, it's not not just national teams Olympic level, like
to actually be at the Olympics at twenty two.
Speaker 5 (32:51):
So I don't think that's a late bloom. I don't
think that's the right.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
It's really young.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
Yeah, And so when you're at pick performance. But you know,
you look at Lisa Carrington, she's thirty five now and
you'd say, physically is she better than ever?
Speaker 5 (33:03):
I think so?
Speaker 4 (33:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
So yes, and different sports you have a different peak
time and I know, and Dame Lisa's in a case
she said, well, I don't want to lose what I
now know and what I can do mentally and then
just match it with the physical and then you're pretty
unstoppable and the hihway too, and the spiritual and.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
Then moments goalds goals you'll get gold. So basically, yeah,
if you were looking at the TV and you're thinking, oh, man,
I could do that, No you couldn't.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Well the thing actually just to sort of give a
bit of insight into how athletes and top coaches think.
I know that Des Hazler recommends gret this book called
grat It's like everyone.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
Can have talent.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
There's a lot of people have talent, and we love
to go, oh, look at that naturally talented kid. But
what actually decides whether you become the big performer and
the champion.
Speaker 5 (33:53):
They call it gret ah.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
So that is your skill, and that is your determination,
and that is your resilience. And this is speaking to Charlie.
He's going, yep, all the talent in the world to get.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Out, work beats talent when talent doesn't work.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
Right. Yeah. At Athlete today, we gave the first of
four ear flavor now boarding or thanks to Jetstar, where
they were going, well, we didn't even know this. Four

Speaker 4 (34:32):

Speaker 3 (34:37):
So open up that suitcase and you see congratulations, you're
flying to the Gold Coast. What are the thoughts that
go through you here at that point, Sonya?
Speaker 4 (34:45):
Actually it took me a while because I saw Auckland.
Speaker 5 (34:51):
For the Gold Coast.
Speaker 4 (34:52):
I couldn't believe it.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
I was expecting like Melbourne orm hoping rahro but I've
never been to the Gold Coast, So Gold Coast family out. Yeah,

Speaker 2 (35:29):
Well what would you say to other people wondering whether
they should put their name forward and register to be
a part of this mystery?
Speaker 4 (35:35):
You know? Destination I reckonmen go for far. No, you
never know until you try.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
