Speaker 2 (00:27):
Good to have you back. Stace, thank goodness yesterday. Charlie,
I got him a couple of times, so you know
he he's pretty scared of swearing on it, so I
pretended to swear on are You can check the video
out at Flavor Radio. But I also I also made
him say the word penis on aar how Why.
Speaker 7 (00:53):
So there was a story and it's tongue in problem
having long names, right, So I gotta.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
Go ho, I wonder what you're going to say.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
I gotta go ah.
Speaker 7 (01:00):
In the band called BENSI money, but you know we
have no bs in our tongue and alphabet, so it's
it's about pe in I s I in a. But
when you're traveling on the boarding past the tens or
oh cut the name. So then when you're getting caught
out for running late to your gate, it's about pe
(01:23):
in I and.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
I just said, oh, what does that spell out? And
he was looking at her like am I And I
just stood my ground and there there he was, and
then I said it. He went straight to the boss
going I said a word and.
Speaker 6 (01:40):
Made me doing it And I'm really sorry.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
So yeah, glad to have you backstays No, I think
Charlie is glad to have me back.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
I am, bro. Yeah, you know when you're away, she
MUCKs around too much.
Speaker 7 (01:50):
Man throw me hospital.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Good luck and the diafty with the state of madge
around Takataka actually because the weather is so bad, but
here this is a good day and a good time
at ten per seven. To find out that elephants call
each other names, that is so weird to me. A
specific name like what they did, like, yeah, pretty.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Much sounds like a dolphin or.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
Well, see, there's the thing is that they went, well,
dolphins have names for each other.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
I did not know that.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
Yeah, And so they observed their calls over like over
a year, and they heard like four hundred and sixty
nine unique calls, or they call them rumbles, and they
realized that they respond to their name, which is like
their elephant name except for when they become an adolescent,
and then just like humans, they go, yeah, I know
you call me mum, but I'm busy.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Oh, I just find it so.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
I don't know why it shocks me so much, because
you know, obviously there's so.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Many animals in the world, Like I want.
Speaker 7 (02:55):
To see what sound that elephant makes this, Yeah, it
sounds like a trumpet, just distorted trumpet.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
No, it's not like the trumpet thing that they do.
It's not like they No, that's not a name. That's
just like going whoa yay incation.
Speaker 6 (03:11):
Yeah, a little shout shout.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
Yeah, but no, it's it's been They sort of make
a particular.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
Sound for they go, this is my bro Charlie murder sounds.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
What is it these elephants do to?
Speaker 6 (03:41):
What's the code here?
Speaker 5 (03:42):
Elephant names?
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Alan?
Speaker 5 (03:49):
You feel better knowing that.
Speaker 6 (03:51):
And dolphins as well.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
I do feel bitter, Actually do feel better? What if
you do today?
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Be like me.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
I was waiting to pull into a cup park.
Speaker 6 (04:05):
There was a truck in.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Front of me. I could have parked behind them, but
it was a one way street, so I saw that
the truck was gonna leave anyway, and then I was
going to take their spot, just so it's easier for
the person who decides to park after me, you.
Speaker 6 (04:18):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
So I'm sitting there, I'm indicating waiting for the truck
to pull out. Now good, they just reversed straight into
my car.
Speaker 6 (04:26):
Big hole in the front of my car.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Yeah, hard to see you. So yeah, or was your
carver right off?
Speaker 2 (04:34):
I s was? I got a little Toyota Orus. And
the worst part is is I rang my insurance company
to say, oh, you know, I'm going to Europe just because.
Speaker 6 (04:44):
You know, I want to tell everyone that's what I'm doing.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
And you know, should I put in a claim now
or should I wait till I'm back? Not them saying, han,
you you missed your payment in March, so you're actually
not even insured.
Speaker 7 (04:56):
Oh man, things can get any worse, say you know what,
It could literally be worse.
Speaker 6 (05:04):
So it is what it is. I'm still parked up, and.
Speaker 7 (05:09):
Wait, hey, look on the bright side, the Toyota Orrist the.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Test of time.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
It's got a dimple. Now, it's got more character.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
We are being joined by very special guests in studio.
We have Dylan and Billy who are on Team New Zealand,
representing our country on New Zealand and the Olympics.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
Baby welcome along. It's pretty exciting a month that.
Speaker 6 (05:41):
Yeah, that's definitely coming up pretty quick.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Yeah, when you guys fly Dylan, because I mean you
are in trampoline, you've actually won us our only gymnastic
medal ever when it comes to the Olympics, which is so
epic for trampolining.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
So when do you fly out?
Speaker 6 (05:55):
I'm away on Friday, And how has your preparation been.
It's going really well. I can't fault it.
Speaker 8 (06:01):
I've been training really hard, training really well, niggle pretty
much niggle free as much as I can be anyway.
And yeah, we've got one comp to go before Paris.
Speaker 6 (06:08):
Little you've got a competition before.
Speaker 8 (06:10):
Yeah, just going for a bit of a you know,
I guess, get the rust off and just get that
comp feel and just hit some routines and then had
a good training camp in the UK and into Paris.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
What sort of training do you do trampoline?
Speaker 7 (06:25):
Yeah, but you know, I mean do you like obviously
the strength involved in this, you could do a bit
of week thinking so that Yeah, yeah, I do do
a fair bit of gym stuff pretty specific like primetric,
fast twitch core stuff.
Speaker 8 (06:37):
And then you've obviously got to have just got to
be strong around those major joints to when you're jumping
on a trampoline to not I guess, collapse and have
major injuries.
Speaker 6 (06:45):
So it's a big part of my training.
Speaker 8 (06:46):
And then you obviously there's a hot like most of
my training has been on the trampoline.
Speaker 6 (06:50):
That trampoline fitness, it's pretty hard.
Speaker 7 (06:52):
To get anywhere out you get a swit, you know,
when I take you out to the tramp.
Speaker 5 (06:56):
Yah, it's really similar to what Dylan does.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
You know, I can't.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
But yeah, now, Bellisdiman, you are going to serve, But
tell us about the difference of you know, I mean
it's the Paris Olympics, but where do you actually compete.
Speaker 9 (07:10):
Yes, so obviously it's a Paras Olympics, but the surfing
is actually in Tahiti.
Speaker 5 (07:14):
Oh that the French connection.
Speaker 9 (07:16):
French Polynesia. Yes, the wave itself is a very big
and scary in tense.
Speaker 6 (07:21):
I think it's the most dangerous wave on the planet.
Speaker 9 (07:23):
So yeah, yeah, it's exciting it's a new challenge of
you know, I'm not used to, but I'm excited about
and I'm looking forward to it.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
Have you surfed in Tahiti before? Yeah, I actually just
got back last weekend.
Speaker 9 (07:34):
I did a bit of a training trip, and I've
been to three times before that, and it's a type
of wave you really want to spend time in. The
surroundings are so beautiful, but it's very powerful place, and
you know, the ways are always changing and the conditions
can change, you know, like a flick of a switch.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
So you've got to be as prepared prepared as you can.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
But you're a little bit closer than other competitors. That
would be in advantage, wouldn't it You could just go
over to Tahiti.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
That you did.
Speaker 9 (07:56):
Yeah, yeah, it's only like a four and a half
hour flight. Yeah, the time time difference is only two hours.
So yeah, you can pop over for some training days.
If you see a swell, you can pop over and
oh wow.
Speaker 5 (08:08):
Yeah maybe Tahiti.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
Yeah, and then you just pop over to Paris as well,
I believe.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Yes.
Speaker 9 (08:13):
So after our competition, we actually get to experience the
full Olympic Games and we get to fly to Paris
and be a part of the team and the closing
ceremony and yeah, be there for support for the team.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Yeah, is going to be like that. He would have
already done his competitions.
Speaker 6 (08:28):
Yeah, arrives after my comp as well, so we'll meet up. Nice.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
My gosh, you know, and you know you're both been
to the Olympics before. I want to know what is
what is the vibe like there being an athlete, Like
is everyone really friendly with each other or is it
sort of like you know, kid phones on and you
doing your own thing.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (08:49):
Well, the New Zealand team he runs, super friendly, super supportive.
We all like really get along. It's a great chance
to get together, as you know, from different sports as
a team. Yeah, and from other countries, I guess. Yeah,
little bit more like in your own and your own
zone depending on the sport, I guess. But for me
and I've got eas and mates that do trampolining that
are going as well, So yeah, I think the vibes
are generally pretty good.
Speaker 5 (09:09):
How big is our team? Like, how many trampoliners are there?
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Just me and one other?
Speaker 2 (09:15):
One male?
Speaker 3 (09:16):
One female? Yeah, same as surfing.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
Female from who's our female sifer?
Speaker 6 (09:21):
Sefie Viddy from Gisbon.
Speaker 5 (09:22):
Oh yeah, yeah, nice.
Speaker 8 (09:25):
So she used to trampolining actually just trampolining family from Gisbon.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
So no, well actually, you know like the athleticism and
it can look like gymnastic ontics on the waves, can't it.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (09:37):
Yeah, sometimes you're doing some somersaults underwater, that's for sure.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
Yeah, unplanned.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Yeah, look, you guys, we're so proud of both of you.
It's it's it's actually incredible and you're doing what hard.
To be honest, not a lot of people can. And
we just want to say, go hard and come home,
come home with a smile and your dial and hopefully
some metals.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
Yep, when you when you're up on those partiums, we go,
that's it's my room.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
Please do please don't.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Believe stays Azora and Charlie.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
Don't be sad, be happy.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
Matadiki season actually begins officially. I know we have the
holiday on Friday, but the actual season for matadi Ki,
when we can see matadi Key again and it's a
tunguldaw moon actually starts on the Saturday. Yeah, so the
twenty ninth, and this is a time for you know,
many things to celebrate the present, to be together, to
look to our environment and what we can do in
(10:35):
connection with our environment. And also he waited angy as
the wishing staff, So going, okay, this is what I
want to do for the year ahead, especially if say
the January calendar year Intention New Year resolution didn't go great,
let's start again to yeah around too, baby, what are
you going to do for MATI?
Speaker 8 (10:53):
Key?
Speaker 5 (10:53):
What is our intention? What do we wish for?
Speaker 2 (10:57):
I hope that I can. I feel silly saying it
because it feels like a broken record.
Speaker 6 (11:05):
Stace.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
You know, I want to be better at saving and
quit roping.
Speaker 6 (11:10):
Yeah that's yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
I want to quit vaping.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
What's the other thing?
Speaker 6 (11:16):
Be healthier?
Speaker 4 (11:17):
Okay, I'm glad you didn't say anything about weight, because
I mean we're talking, we're looking up to the stars.
It's pretty, you know, deep and meaningful.
Speaker 9 (11:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Are you guys going to ask you what?
Speaker 5 (11:26):
Yes, Charlie, what are you going to do? Charlie?
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Well, you guys could see, right, Stace, we did make
a I think it was a decision amongst us, right,
there was.
Speaker 7 (11:37):
Intervention, intervention that I want to drop the whole energy
drinks and as you guys could see you around ener
drinks on my side.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
You got amino something or other.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Yeah, I did say that I'm not going to go
cold turkey on.
Speaker 7 (11:52):
You know, it's a transition, these processes to this whole.
Speaker 5 (11:56):
Thing, right, so powdered drinks are still happening.
Speaker 7 (11:58):
But yeah, so we've got a mino energy that's here
and that's a replacement of the energy drinks and then
soon enough we're going.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
To go from this.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
Okay, so that's your methodic.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
You wish to get rid of that little addiction you
have going on vaping in health?
Speaker 6 (12:14):
What about you, Stace?
Speaker 4 (12:16):
I would yes, okay for this mad m okay, I
am going to be by nixt matt Y. I am
going to.
Speaker 5 (12:28):
Be uh still working in media.
Speaker 6 (12:32):
Yes, yes, okay, yes, thank you. I was really I
was really wondering what you like.
Speaker 5 (12:38):
Then you know, this is an intention and I hope who.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
Knows can And I find this really weird that I
went to while you were hesitating. Was you were going
to compete in like a bodybuilding courses.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
I don't know why, I don't know why I thought that,
and nobody want to see that.
Speaker 6 (12:53):
So we want to know intention, What is your wish?
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Eight two double oh for flavor.
Speaker 5 (13:01):
Even meaningful or not. Let's go there.
Speaker 7 (13:03):
Yeah, some of you guys haven't really got to your
new Year's resolution.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
So this is an opportunity around. We're sitting intentions and
wishes for this Maturiki season, aren't we yeses right.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
So that's the opportunity we have.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
And one of the things that is an aspect of
is to look to here waited, that ungy and go, okay,
this is my wish, my hope for the year ahead,
for our fire note, for me, or just to stop vaping,
or to stop taking energy drinks.
Speaker 5 (13:32):
Other people are just going more money.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
Let's problems come at me here, waity, I like.
Speaker 6 (13:38):
This one on eight to double.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
My wish is to be the person who comes in
for flavors fifty k pig Poppa bro.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
That's that's real. You know we will money.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
Another another one says, oh, this is a special one
says I wish for our fine note to not have
any more tonguey like we have had this year.
Speaker 7 (13:59):
It's a big Another one on the texas A two
double O. My new Year's resolution, no more for love
it loves far Love lovers is when you've got to
give money to like, you know, strangers.
Speaker 5 (14:10):
Strangers, they're not people.
Speaker 7 (14:13):
Okay, Charlie, I want to ask you guys a question. Okay,
So my son rickens he has two in and round teams.
So for me personally, okay, I can only support one
team and that's the.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Warriors the Wist.
Speaker 7 (14:31):
But my son thinks he can change it up and
support two teams. So he obviously supports the Warriors and
the Brisbane Broncos.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Do you guys think that's okay?
Speaker 4 (14:40):
What about when the Warriors play the Broncos like they well,
this weekend, what happens?
Speaker 7 (14:44):
But I reckon he's going to half as Jersey, half
Warriors half Broncos. I'm not too sure, but he won't
be able to decide who who's like vouching for, you
know what I mean. Like it's a tough one. I'm
not too sure. But he put this up. It came
to my teams from two weeks ago that he's what
did you tell him?
Speaker 2 (15:02):
Bro?
Speaker 7 (15:02):
You got to pick one, Bro, you got to pick one.
You can't support two teams.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
That's just I think that a lot of people have
two teams actually really, especially if they started supporting the
n L before the Warriors came in in the nineties,
so like, that's why my husband awkwardly manly's his team,
Like even when my brother in law was playing for
the Warriors.
Speaker 5 (15:22):
I'm like, yeah, just like not support so loudly.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
Yeah, but you know, I think his brothers too. They
go they have two teams. The first one is say
the Rabbit O's, but then they also, like, you know,
the second one.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Yeah, that's the same with my partner. His team has
been he Reckons for for years, like literally ten years,
has been the Panthers, but Warriors is his number two.
Speaker 6 (15:44):
And I'm like, oh, don't say that out loud.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
Man, I never knew about it, But you know what
you should say to him because it's state of overnite.
Speaker 6 (15:50):
Who does who does he support? Oh?
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Support both, and then see what it says, because he'll
be like, no, you can't do that, and then that'll
be that'll be a way to get him to choose
Charlie scenario.
Speaker 6 (16:03):
It's a little tip.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
But I don't think he's alone here. I think there's
a few people that support two teams.
Speaker 5 (16:08):
Oh, I don't know, cheating on the Warriors.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Yeah, we look, we need you to decide that for
us flavor, Fano, is it okay to support two NRL teams?
Let us know eight to two double ow oh, one
hundred full flavor. The question Charlie needs to know is
can you support two teams? Because your son claims that
he supports the Warriors and the.
Speaker 7 (16:30):
Broncos and the Brisbane Broncos and they are playing this weekend,
so can He's got to be stuck in a rock
in a hard place to decide a decision here.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
Well, you know, can you support two set of origin teams? No,
that's such.
Speaker 6 (16:41):
A quick quick.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
Answer, So we asked, though, can you support two teams?
Some of the tixes on eight to two doublo? Someone
said Scotti is the man on mainly two. But you
can't have two teams. That's a shocker.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Another one, Doggies have been my team since the eighties.
But you have to back our local team even if
they're not playing great.
Speaker 7 (17:00):
Yeah, that's the commitment, Stephen said Morderner.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Myself, I have two teams Chief Hurricanes. Not a league
fan at all, Stephen, you're throwing that in whenever you can.
Speaker 5 (17:11):
Yeah, it really does not like late notes.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
Wow, it's been a big weekend. Of sports.
Speaker 7 (17:18):
You had the Super fifteen Pacific Final done and dusted,
then you got the all black squad name the State
of Origin tonight, then obviously the Warriors and the Broncos
this Saturday, and we're talking to the one and only
the lady who's the mice at all, Courtney Tidy Kate,
the beer.
Speaker 5 (17:38):
Hall Queer Courtney.
Speaker 10 (17:40):
Kaita haliko Ho. I'm happy today. I'm starting the day
with positivity and hopefulness for State of Origin tonight.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
Yes, and what does that look like for you?
Speaker 4 (17:49):
Like, does that just mean I'm just hopeful it's a
great game, or is there a particular team that you support?
Speaker 10 (17:54):
I'm Blues all the way.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Oh, yes, that's us.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
A nice color.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
You're from Courtney, it is.
Speaker 10 (18:02):
I grew up over there, so you don't even really
have a choice. So I have to go for the Blues.
And I'm hoping we play very well tonight and get
the win against Queensland.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (18:12):
I think we need a best team on paper, but
for some reason, it's I can't really execute it on
them on game day.
Speaker 10 (18:23):
Yeah, I'm not sure what it is. And like, even
looking at the team for tonight, Dylan Edwards is back
in there at fullback lateral Mitchell he's the X factor
I think that we need in the back line as well.
So you're right, we've got a great team on paper.
Cameron Murray, he comes back into the side, but it's
just something we're not quite meshing or jelling yet. Hopefully
they've spent a camp down in Melbourne, so hopefully that's
(18:46):
helped bring the team together. Whereas when you look at Queensland,
they've been together for the last couple of years.
Speaker 5 (18:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (18:51):
Yeah, they just know each other inside out. So you're right,
we've got a great team. It's just we're not doing
it out on the field yet. Hopefully tonight.
Speaker 4 (18:59):
You know what I really like about the State of
o is that they change things up. They go, well
that's not working so bang like and all star players
go not, that's a change cut out.
Speaker 5 (19:10):
Yeah amazing.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
It's ruthless, but that's the highest level of rugby league,
isn't it It is?
Speaker 10 (19:16):
And I agree it is ruthless. And I think some
of the players that weren't there for the Blues in
Game one they would have been hurt that they weren't selected.
So I feel like they're going to come out they've
got the opportunity, they want to play well, they obviously
want to win, and then they want to go to
the decider for Game three up in Queensland.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
So you're right.
Speaker 10 (19:32):
I do like that. It's pretty cutthroat and you have
to play your best football to stay in the team.
Speaker 6 (19:36):
Yeah, yeah, and that's fair enough.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
And you know, Courney, I really wanted to ask you about,
you know, the post that Sean Johnson said about getting
all of the hate online, because it's such a real
thing for athletes, and I think quite a lot of
people have been.
Speaker 6 (19:50):
It's been a little bit.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
Hard on the on the Warriors and on old shawne Jay,
haven't they They have?
Speaker 10 (19:55):
And I saw that last night and it just made
me a bit poty, a bit sad because and I
like that you can see what Sean wrote that like
with maturity in his age that used to define him
and it doesn't anymore.
Speaker 7 (20:06):
But I think.
Speaker 10 (20:06):
People forget that athletes are humans and no one goes
out there to play badly. We all go out there,
we train, you know, two three times a day. Then
we go out there one day a week to try
and do our FM. Sometimes it doesn't happen for whatever reason.
Uh and so, and then you're right with social media
these days, like we do cop it as well. And unfortunately,
(20:28):
like players go home, they go home to their families,
but they're still dealing with all that the public comments
that are being just I guess thrown their way, which
is which is sad. You have to remember they're just human.
Speaker 4 (20:40):
Yeah, And if you're a real Warriors fan and you know,
are you being helpful to the cause of you're doing that?
Speaker 3 (20:44):
Nah?
Speaker 10 (20:45):
Yeah, exactly. Let's lift the boys up, Let's lift the
team up.
Speaker 6 (20:48):
Let's against the Broncos too. Let's go eh, that's it.
Speaker 10 (20:54):
This Saturday, we'll be out there at Go Media five pm.
Just like the Blues, the Warriors looks absolutely stuck once again.
Dylan comes back into the fold. So that's this Friday.
We've got a lot of football on this week, guys.
Speaker 5 (21:07):
Yeah, there lots to enjoy.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
So Manoit enjoyed the Mataiki season as well. And we're
talking to you real soon. And Courtney thirty from Sky Sport.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Stays a Zorah and Charlie and.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
You know, like making sure that you make good use
of your money, make good use of your time. It's
it's very much a thing you focus on a zero
and then sometimes it.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
Just slips, like it's just you know what kind of
week it's been when you not only crash your car
but also show up a day early to an appointment.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
I was just like a little bit of context here,
there is a state of emergency and right now anyway.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Context context probably okay, okay, I don't know why it's
so embarrassing. Like when I walked in for my appointment,
I sat down. She let me sit down for five
minutes before she went, oh, Ziah, text you tomorrow. I
was like, oh, all good. I had stuff I had
to do anyway in the mall, No I didn't, No,
(22:07):
I didn't. So I ended up walking into the chemists
warehouse bought myself a thirty dollars mystery bag. So they're
doing mystery bags at the moment. Yeah, I went and
I opened that. Yeah, like it's definitely valued more than
thirty dollars. But it made me realize, you know, it's
a bunch of stuff you don't need.
Speaker 5 (22:23):
Which is what the lucky dipa is.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
Like I walked past that, I went thirty backs, so
I wonder what's in there if I'm not going to
spend thirty bucks because I don't know.
Speaker 5 (22:30):
What's in there.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
You and you're like unbagged, and I thought it was
really good. You like even that now polish, you got
the box of OPI that's more than thirty dollars week,
but I.
Speaker 6 (22:41):
Mean more than thirty.
Speaker 5 (22:42):
I just love that your only.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
Response to making a mistake with your appointment as to
go and buy my starting.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
That's exactly what I did. That's exactly what I did.
I thought, you know what, I've been down and out.
I'm going to buy a mystery bag and it is
going to rock my world. That was my logic anyway.
Nice My dad was really me. He was actually on
the phone with me while I was in the store.
He told me to go for the thirty. He's like,
I said, do I just get the twenty dollars one?
This physit silly? Get He goes, surely if you get
(23:10):
thirty it'll be better.
Speaker 5 (23:11):
You need to give him more context and what else
you bought this week?
Speaker 6 (23:14):
And like, nope.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
I want to say, you're not spending a lot of
money to go to Europe, but you're spending just as
much money to get ready to go to Europe.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
I know.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
I know where you're spending a lot of money.
Speaker 7 (23:23):
Now, why just because now you found out that you
can eat for free and drink for free on the plane,
you're saving money. You're saving money to buy food and
drinks on the plane, right.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Yeah, honestly, I knew that they were going to feed you,
but I thought you choose from a menu and you pay.
She didn't know the space any said you can drink
for free?
Speaker 5 (23:42):
Yeah, well to drink too much, like you've seen the Bridesmaid.
Maybe Ale.
Speaker 7 (23:50):
Help me.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
I'm poor, it.
Speaker 6 (23:53):
Will be.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
Oh dear, I had to drink that much.
Speaker 6 (24:00):
We are playing Big Pauper.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Tomorrow is the day fifty thousand dollars could be one
and one and fifty chance?
Speaker 6 (24:06):
Can you believe it?
Speaker 3 (24:07):
Charlie Nolo?
Speaker 6 (24:09):
I know?
Speaker 2 (24:10):
And if you are in the drawer, we're phone through.
We do have Patrese on the line. Are you there, Patrese?
Speaker 7 (24:17):
Ah?
Speaker 5 (24:17):
Yes, Patresea.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
And you know that it Staces Zarin Charlie from Flavor.
You know where you played Big Popper.
Speaker 7 (24:24):
Yeah, more than that, because you have won a one
and fifty chance of winning fifty thousand dollars.
Speaker 10 (24:32):
Yes way, Oh wait, well, what are you serious?
Speaker 5 (24:39):
Serious, So patrise, this is how it rolled out.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
You played big Popper and you got ninety six dollars
and thirty three cents, and then you went in the
drawer and you were selected. You are the person who's
coming into our studio tomorrow. You're going to choose a
billion between one and fifty, and you have a one
and fifty chance at winning fifty thousand dollars. But you
know what, with snuck cash into every other balloon, so
you are guaranteed to go away with something tomorrow when
(25:05):
you come in as the big winner. Oh big papa,
Oh my god, thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
Yes, that's Trees.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
Congratulations. Honestly, I can just hear you are shocked. You're overwhelmed.
You know, how are you feeling right now?
Speaker 8 (25:20):
Like shaking?
Speaker 5 (25:23):
Yes, Hey, in a minute, are you available tomorrow?
Speaker 10 (25:27):
Oh? Yes, who want to be.
Speaker 4 (25:31):
Fakes?
Speaker 6 (25:32):
That's fakes.
Speaker 5 (25:33):
Also, don't tell us what it is. But do you
have a lucky number between one and fifty?
Speaker 10 (25:38):
No, always support those fundraisers and I always pick the
same number it gets picked out.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
What that means, I don't know what that'll mean for you, Trees.
It'll be a huge decision. Actually, you can sleep on
it tonight. You've got to choose one number between one
and fifty, and one of those balloons will have fifty
thousand dollars in it, so if you pick right, you
will win for two thousand dollars. And trust me, we
want you to win best of.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
Like also snuck that but money into all of the balloons,
so he coming away with something. But congratulations, it is you.
You're going to play tomorrow for Big Papa.
Speaker 10 (26:12):
Thank you much.
Speaker 6 (26:13):
G I'm god, I'm.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
Giddy too, Okay, okay, I love it, little googles. My
poor poor dad. So you know, he's been a little
down and now you know, relationship recently ended, lost his job,
he's changing industries. There's a lot going on. So he's
not not been at Mahy at the moment. And strangely
(26:37):
he has started reading, which I thought good on therapeutic. Yeah,
and he's gone tosider his truck driver's license and he's
really trying to, you know, make a bit of shift
in in his life. Except he said, oh, I finished
my book today, but someone has ripped the last ten
pages out.
Speaker 6 (26:57):
No that it's not funny. It's actually not funny.
Speaker 5 (27:03):
He's like, I can handle losing my job.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
I can handle at the end of my relationship, but
not alive.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Man. And he's like, yeah, well, I did get the
book from an op shop, so someone's obviously done it
to be funny. But I you know, you don't flip
forward to the end to see whether the You just
don't assume someone's going to rip the last ten pages out.
So he goes, so, I guess I'll finish the book,
and I was like, I'm so sorry, discount date, you've
done it.
Speaker 4 (27:31):
Yeah, but I think he has to google the ending,
like what book is it. I can't have him not
knowing what happens at the end.
Speaker 6 (27:38):
Belief someone did that and it happened to my dad,
you know.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
I was like, oh, okay, we're just leading dad.
Speaker 7 (27:43):
No.
Speaker 5 (27:43):
If it's Romeo and Juliet, they all die at the end.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
The latest celebrity goss from around the world favor Breakfast,
oh M.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
Dwayne Keith D.
Speaker 4 (27:55):
Davis, who is in jail ahead of his trial for
the murder of Tupu Shaka, has actually said that he's
going to post bail of seven hundred and fifty thousand
dollars damn wow. Yeah, apparently he hadn't had enough, but
all of a sudden he's got it. He's been in
jail since September. He's also not going to testify in
(28:16):
his own trial.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Interesting, and this is some good news. Shrek five Srick
five yeah, man has been confirmed. And Eddie Murphy he
has said it's looking like twenty twenty five. So only
next year and we finally get a new installment on Shrek.
I mean Eddie Murphy fame famously is the voice Donkey.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
Oh, it's gonna be fun.
Speaker 8 (28:40):
We can see him late swiping manless stories and in
the morning, I'm making waffles.
Speaker 6 (28:46):
Oh, I cannot wait?
Speaker 4 (28:47):
What an eraror do you know it's impossible for us
to talk about waffles as a family unless you.
Speaker 5 (28:51):
Say I make waffles. I make levels.
Speaker 6 (28:56):
That is your goss.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Charlie claims this is you go, but is it truly legal?
Speaker 1 (29:03):
One?
Speaker 7 (29:04):
So in New Zealand right in order to get a
bike license, you've got to go through your basic handling
and then from a basic handling to learner's license. Then
learners have restricted You never got to wait for about
six months. Okay, so if you didn't set the basic
handling course, then you'll have to wait for about eighteen
months before you get a full license. Anyways, I found
(29:25):
a loophole. Okay, so I went to Tonga a full license.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
And then I came back here.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
What did you do over there for a full license?
Speaker 7 (29:35):
Well, came there. My auntie works there, so oh really too,
you know. Yeah, So then she goes, okay, just send
me your passport photo and then I'll just stick it
on the license. And then you know, Bob, your bob's
your uncle, your aunt And then I come back here
to New zealand then I converted. So you only got
(29:55):
a year, so you got a year window to convert
it into a license. But you know what the buzzy
thing is on the tongue and license you have. Or
you could be like a truck driver, you could be
a you could drive operate machinery.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
But people ideally say, if I was going over to
Tongue and I wanted to get my bike license, would
I be able to get my full bike license and car?
Speaker 3 (30:25):
You got to have a relative.
Speaker 6 (30:26):
This This is what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
So this is what I'm saying, very specific cheat sheet
that you have to have all those This isn't actually.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
A loophole because I couldn't do it.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
Maybe you can if you go to a guy and
they might like you, but pay out.
Speaker 7 (30:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
Yeah, So then I.
Speaker 7 (30:42):
Come to New Zealand right and all I needed to
do was do the thirty five random questions with this
tongue and license. So once I do the learner thirty
five questions, did you fail?
Speaker 6 (30:51):
No?
Speaker 7 (30:52):
No, I got it in one to go because you
got the free ones that you can do online a
multi choice. Then I get my learner's licensing automatically it
converts to a full license. However, you still got to
do the practical, so you by passed the learners. They're
restricted and waiting for six months, eighteen months, and i'llostraights
to full license.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
So you know, I already knew that I passed.
Speaker 7 (31:13):
Yeah, I passed Flying Colors, ladies and gentlemen, flying Colors,
and then from there I was able to get a
full license.
Speaker 6 (31:21):
Congratulations. I guess it's.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
Working smarter, not harder here, you know what I'm.
Speaker 5 (31:26):
Saying, Oh, it's working weirder.
Speaker 6 (31:28):
It's working. It's just working.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
But you know what I think I've just done here.
Speaker 7 (31:32):
I think I've just outed everyone who's like trying to
so I'm sorry man, you might.
Speaker 6 (31:37):
Be Insian police comes knocking on your door.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
No, that's done too late now, no.
Speaker 6 (31:43):
Take back, take back.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
And how bizarre is it that someone you know could
go home with fifty thousand dollars tomorrow?
Speaker 4 (31:50):
Well we well that's someone as Patrice. So fifty thousand
dollars as what held pizza has sitting there and one
of the fifty balloons.
Speaker 5 (32:00):
The cool thing is.
Speaker 4 (32:01):
A little upgrade here is that we have snuck some
money into all of the balloons. So Patrice will take
away something. But will it be fifty thousand dollars we
find out tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
I hope, so, I hope. So she doesn't even know
what she number she wants to pick, but that number
is so so important. Good luck, Patrice, and we will
see you tomorrow morning tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
