carbontatoes yours too.

You have to go Aussie, don't you stay?
Speaker 8 (01:22):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (01:22):
Stay just gets right into a character.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
That's rights, absolutely sad, sational.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Oh cannot wait for that, as well as Oh my goodness,
three tickets to Neo.
Speaker 6 (01:33):
You say three, I said.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Three, three?
Speaker 5 (01:35):
Listen to.
Speaker 9 (01:39):
It?
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Was Bruno Mars. But that's adult Bruno Mars right on
that track. What about little Bruno Mars, Little Bruno. I
didn't realize you started performing it?
Speaker 6 (01:48):
Two? Yes, two.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
I interview Bruno Mars once.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
I actually took my son, who is about nine at
the time, because he said, he said to him, he
goes by the time, it was your age.
Speaker 5 (01:58):
I've been performing for you years and.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Years crazy and so we found this club from the
archives of Baby. I'm gonna say, baby Bruno at four
years old, listen to this.
Speaker 10 (02:09):
Bruno. First of all, can you tell me how old
you are and how long you've been performing as Elvis
since with us two? And how old are you now?
I'm four?
Speaker 11 (02:20):
Now?
Speaker 10 (02:20):
Why did you start? Why did you start being Elvis
from my uncle?
Speaker 8 (02:26):
Well?
Speaker 10 (02:26):
Why was that? What did your uncle do? He's saying
there sweetly, Now, what is it? About Elvis. What do
you like about Elvis?
Speaker 12 (02:36):
Dmen?
Speaker 10 (02:37):
I like to sing him and he's Dan days. How
many Elvis songs do you know? I know Trouble and.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
And Honda, he knows Wow like his lip yeah, and
then he does the Lord look like.
Speaker 7 (03:00):
Much.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
It's just crazy to think of the how massive his
career became and he is so talented.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
Isn't that a day off?
Speaker 6 (03:08):
Since he was not exactly.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
Save Doug's growth literally.
Speaker 7 (03:17):
Speaks pretty good for.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
I know Little.
Speaker 7 (03:23):
The latest celebrity goss from around the world favor breakfast,
oh m, ghosts.
Speaker 10 (03:28):
Oh Man.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
So you think Timberland boots and who made them bigger
than nineties a fashion statement, and you think of Notorious Big,
And that's why Timberland has unveiled the Christopher Wallace Collection
to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the Notorious BIG's debut
album Ready to Die. And so these boots they come
out in that classic beige and also black, but they
(03:52):
feature like a shoe tongue that's got basically his crown
on the air, some of the Notorious Big lyrics on there,
and it's also working with his trust. The Christopher Wallace
Memorial Foundation supports literacy groups through donations.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
So that's pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
So it's been done right and even like stylistically and
with the far No, it's pretty cool.
Speaker 6 (04:18):
Man.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
You have the lyrics and have his crown on the
tongue because like back then, that's how they wore it,
you know.
Speaker 7 (04:24):
Yeah, yeah, tongue out and tongue out and everything.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
So and like this one, the little pick of the
little baby from the album cover that's on the as well. Yeah,
Timberland boots, they were a thing. I even had high
herel ones okay, oh.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Wow, okay, like Jenny on the Block from the Black
Stacy from the Block. So I know you guys have
already heard about this and did he.
Speaker 6 (04:47):
It's not looking good for Diddy at the moment.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
There's massive allegations, you know, he he hasn't going to
call he hasn't been charge officially with anything, but you know,
recorteering and violence allegations.
Speaker 6 (04:58):
It's not not not great for him.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
And then there's fifty Cent who has inserted himself.
Speaker 7 (05:04):
With he couldn't help himself with Netflix.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
In fact, they're going to produce a docuseries about Diddy's
sexual abuse, recketeering, and violence allegations here. He has actually
been working on this docuseries for many, many years, and
now that did he has finally arrested. Fifty Cent sold
his idea in docuseries and the people he tracked down
for interviews to the highest bidder, which was in fact Netflix.
(05:32):
And I feel like there's a lot of people in
the Hollywood that is quite nervous at the moment. We
can all agree, and you're to tell you who's.
Speaker 6 (05:39):
Not nervous ice Cube.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
While he was on stage, he decided, I'm just going
to let the people know, and I'm gonna tell you
right now.
Speaker 10 (05:47):
Me and Dulcie never been to a party.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
The fucker.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
Believe in you.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
So that is your own even Goss, welcome back to Flavor.
Speaker 6 (06:04):
Breakfast, and welcome to your Friday morning.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
How good, so good, It is so good, it's so good.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
And something happening on Sunday as massive. So it's here,
It's here, the Hucker World Record. We're bringing it home.
It's an Eden Park on Sunday and six sixty have
officially joined the lineup. We spoke to them in Amsterdam,
so they go from Amsterdam to Australia. They're doing a
couple of shows and they fly in on Sunday morning
and they're going to be there. So I just want
(06:31):
to know what your excuses are you're not there?
Speaker 3 (06:33):
You know that the passion that the boys from six
to sixty have, you know about this whole Hakker world
record thing.
Speaker 7 (06:39):
Bro, These guys, Bro, they're ready to leave the tour
if it comes.
Speaker 6 (06:42):
Exactly and like, who wouldn't want to be a part
of it? I know for if I know for a fact,
I will cry. I will cry when the huck is happening.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Especially, but if they do get the ten thousand people
on the pitch, I don't think I'll ever see.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
Anything like that again. Well, the world hasn't seen that.
That's why it's going to be a goodness world record,
right Yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
And also there's the you know, the extra element of
we're raising funds forty music therapy.
Speaker 5 (07:05):
Trust.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
I'll be there as one of your MC's, just to say.
And now coming up next to rob U Paige Kings,
we also have Holy Smith, We've got Sheperd's reign.
Speaker 5 (07:15):
It's gonna be a massive top twins. Good on them?
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Really?
Speaker 5 (07:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (07:19):
Yeah they still honestly, so if you want to be
their text hakker to a two double for all the details,
or chick it out at Hacker World record dot cradit
inset coming up in seven minutes.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Hip hop mystery. This is an insane story. Yes, two
guys that yes they're good looking, but that's about all.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
They give them a Grammy for that.
Speaker 13 (07:47):
Mysteries.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Well, the reason that this has come up as a
hip hop mystery is because number two on the Shazam
search list in the world is randomly a song from
Milli Vanilli, And it's because of the series called Monsters,
which is really dark, really horrible about brothers Eric and
Lyle Menendez who murdered their parents in nineteen eighty nine,
(08:14):
and then at the funeral, this song plays so good
on you guys watching this horrible drama they go, anyway,
what's that song?
Speaker 5 (08:27):
I love that song? That song is by Milli Vanilly.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
So they were a black duo and they came out
in nineteen eighty eight, actually created by Frank Farrion, who
founded Bonie m Huge band as well. So the problem
was Fab Morvan and Rob Platters. They look great, they
had the corn rows. Black guys could dance. They're there
literally in their little hotpants dancing around people go this
(08:53):
is great. I love them, well, love it. The problem
was they weren't actually singing. They were lip singing. So
Frank had gone behind the scenes go, well, you guys,
you currently sing. So what I'm going to do is
I'm going to use voices of people who can actually sing,
people like Brad Howell and John Davis, and then you
guys can just front it. It went great at the beginning,
(09:13):
All or Nothing, their debut album had great songs like Baby,
Don't Forget My Number, the True and other great hats.
One that we're going to play go you know It's true?
Speaker 10 (09:31):
Girl?
Speaker 6 (09:31):
You know was true?
Speaker 5 (09:35):
Do you know it's kind of true? Semi true?
Speaker 4 (09:37):
So the thing was they sold so many albums, like
thirty million worldwide in the end.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
It was huge, and.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
Then it went a little bit too far when they
actually were nominated and won the Grammy Award for Best
New Artist in nineteen ninety and Babian actually said himself,
they really didn't expect that to happen.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
I didn't expect it.
Speaker 14 (10:01):
I remember watching the footage we were front row and
my heart song.
Speaker 6 (10:05):
I was like, oh no, oh no, now we have
to go e sipt this in front of the world.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
Yes they did, but don't worry. They got up there
and Robbie just did a speech.
Speaker 8 (10:16):
We want to say, thank you very much, Bob.
Speaker 15 (10:18):
We want to say there are a lot of artists here
in this room. There a lot of artists outside in
the world who could achieve the same or what that'd
be a chief today and it's a what for what
artists in the wood?
Speaker 7 (10:30):
Thank you very much, the man not trying to get inspirational.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
Yeah, exapt that they could because you didn't actually sing
that song. Then for the second album, they actually wanted
to sing themselves and Frank Fabian said, no, you're not
going to do that.
Speaker 5 (10:44):
It all blew up and.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
He decided to just reveal that they were actually just
lip syncing. So they had their Grammy taken off them
and the reaction, Fabian says, was huge.
Speaker 6 (10:54):
From one day to the next. His kaboom yep kaboom
all over.
Speaker 5 (11:00):
It blew up.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
And the worst thing is that they tried to do
a comeback actually in nineteen ninety eight, but Rob died
the same year. He had addiction problems and ended up
passing away from an overdose. So go you know, it's true, esh,
and that is your hop up misery about Melli van Ellis.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
If you don't know, now you know.
Speaker 6 (11:19):
Welcome, Welcome to your Friday morning.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
It was Stacey, Zarah and Charlie and it's so I
guess you'd say a special Friday, wouldn't you stay?
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Oh yeah, your racun So we have our winner just
after eight o'clock of air Flavor the Big Dance. Who
is going to the NRL Grand Final Because you I
hope that you're in the drawer.
Speaker 6 (11:37):

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Boys trip and Charlie will be doing remember the time
coming up in seven minutes.
Speaker 5 (11:45):
But today I think there'll be a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
I sort of getting the kids ready and as well, yeah,
trying to get them.
Speaker 6 (11:51):
Out the door school holidays.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
As Stevens's on the text, the kids are all ready
to get Friday over to start the holidays thanks to
our amazing teacher.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
Enjoy your break.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
Gosh, yeah, I mean the thing is as well, you
might want to double check what time the kids finish
they get you like, one will.
Speaker 5 (12:08):
Finish at two o'clock. One, we'll finish at one. You know,
the school balls, it's all happening.
Speaker 6 (12:14):
It's chaos, so is there. This is the last school
holidays of the year.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
Before the big one yep, and then you have Laby weekend.
That's your next holiday, so you know you can look forward. Hey,
good luck for the next couple of weeks.
Speaker 7 (12:25):
A game.
Speaker 6 (12:25):
Good luck.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Oh, it's only right we talk in around Grand Finals
since we're giving away their flavor big Dance, which we're
giving away at eight ten ten past eight this morning.
It is the year two thousand and four and the
Grand Finals between the Bulldogs and the Roosters. This Grand
Final saw Bulldogs winning the Premierships sixteen thirteen against the Roosters.
Speaker 7 (12:52):
But it wasn't the win.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
They had the fans talking. There was a particular someone
they had the whole regularly.
Speaker 7 (12:58):
We're all talking about Jonathan Thurston.
Speaker 10 (13:02):
He always had skill. He always had that senacity.
Speaker 6 (13:05):
And he always had that fine for the death.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
Never say that attitude in that he had that to
me skill base and skill set.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Then that she.
Speaker 10 (13:13):
Just selected the legs. But he's Jonathan Thurston.
Speaker 6 (13:16):
He's an incredible man and incredible player.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
Unbelievable, unbelievable. Yes, we're talking Jonathan Thurston in two thousand
and four. JT on he had seven seven first grade
games under his belt.
Speaker 7 (13:31):
Oh really, yeah, man.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
In the same year, Thurston broke his leg and was
out for about three months. But JT remembers the time
he was named eighteenth man for the Grand Final, which
he didn't think he would play, no.
Speaker 9 (13:42):
Chance of playing. And so I had a big night
with a couple of boys called me in. I think
it was on the on the Monday morning, and I
was shooting bricks and I was like, I didn't do
anything wrong last night. Like, We'll just back at General's
place and we had a few drinks. Like what's he
calling me in for?
Speaker 11 (13:58):
And like we hung over and yeah, He's like, oh,
what are your parised on this week? Swashing the game
and goes, so I'm going to pick you off the bench,
and then my mind's just gone.
Speaker 7 (14:10):
I'll be on the pel.
Speaker 6 (14:12):
It's not a great start to my preparation.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
While his preparation wasn't the best, to be honest, but
that's pretty typical if.
Speaker 5 (14:19):
You two thousand and two, right now, come on, now
things are different now.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Well, leading into the biggest game of his career, you know,
it wasn't the best preparation. However, he did not disappoint.
Not only did they win, but it's Jonathan's kind gesture
after the Bulldog's victory that won the hearts of the
Bulldogs fan in the Raglar League world and a little.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Bit about him down here and told us the first
and that Johnathan's confirm for me.
Speaker 6 (14:43):
Have you given your Grand.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
Final in the same Price, Yes, Bess, yeah, I gave
my right time because he's the.
Speaker 6 (14:54):
Best blake on the side.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
That is a great gesture, right, that's one of the.
Speaker 7 (14:57):
Great Grand finals.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Told us that this is out of your the first
great guy for the round seven this year. You broake
your leg I know, just to come back beat fight.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Of the boys.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
I sound so, I said, this is the best feeling
ever mate, slightly play.
Speaker 6 (15:14):
Oh my god, it sounds drunk.
Speaker 7 (15:17):
I know, it sounds like he's in a wrestling match.
Yes you heard that right.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
He gave his premiership ring and these rings are worth
like ten k to Steve Price. And this is why
and how we remember Thurston as a legend on the
great game a rag.
Speaker 5 (15:31):
Bley remember the time. Thank you Charlie for me.
Speaker 6 (15:36):

Speaker 6 (22:11):
Get, totally.
Speaker 5 (22:13):

Speaker 5 (22:21):
And here another little baby in the background.
Speaker 16 (22:24):
Yeah, yes, my son.
Speaker 6 (22:28):
Are you going to be taking your partner Kira with you?
Speaker 16 (22:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (22:33):
Possibly have a look at baby.
Speaker 9 (22:39):
The kids?
Speaker 16 (22:40):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Oh man, I can't believe that.
Speaker 8 (22:44):

Speaker 3 (22:48):

and tag me in it.
Speaker 7 (22:55):
Please.
Speaker 15 (22:55):
Bro.
Speaker 11 (22:56):
I just.
Speaker 5 (23:00):
Think, Josh, you know your beloved Warriors.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
I think by you being there this year, it will
just bring the special sauce that they need in the
nixt year that will be them at the nr Our Grand.
Speaker 5 (23:09):
Final, don't you think?
Speaker 16 (23:11):
Definitely? Definitely.
Speaker 12 (23:12):

Congratulations, you have one ear Flavor the Big Dance.
Speaker 6 (23:26):
And you're gonna wear your Warriors jersey to the final.
Speaker 5 (23:32):
Read the Babe, that's right Josh a guy. I can
hear his voices. This really happened.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
Is a dead and dreams come true with Air Flavor
the Big Dance Edition thanks to Boys.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Another big congratulations to Josh who picked up the Flavor
Big Dance Edition thanks to Boys.
Speaker 6 (23:54):
Chirp, He's heading to the ner Our Grand Final. Oh
my gosh.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
He had to take a seat. Fun to stop pacing
around my home and take a seat and just let
this one sinking.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Like I can't actually feel, you know, like how emotional
he was like through the phone and shocked.
Speaker 5 (24:11):
I just I can't believe it. I can't believe it.
And we're like, why can't you believe it? Because this
just doesn't happen.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
And so it's a dream come true to go to
the ner Our Grand Final and it's you guys are
so kind, as I says, way to go, Josh, what
an awesome trip you're gonna have, you.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Know how Josh was shocked. Stace was also quite shocked
the other day. Teenagers. I think it's brilliant, but obviously because.
Speaker 5 (24:37):
Seen year old girl energy y'ao.
Speaker 6 (24:40):
That's why you know the thing.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
Is until your parents the statement asks for forgiveness and
not for permission. It's a good, good statement to live by,
and I fear it's fun and you guys probably had
fun with that until your kids are now asking for
forgiveness and not for permission.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
Actually, I'm following up saying you might want to ask
for forgiveness right now because you like your mother is
like surelock homes over here. You think I'm not looking
at my visa online and seeing when you're using Apple Pay.
I said to you, mess thing you ask before you
(25:21):
go and purchase something as essential as McDonald's.
Speaker 6 (25:26):
It's just so funny to me because you know when
you've got the Apple Pay.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
I hate to say it Stace, but Stace doesn't have
an iPhone, she's not iOS.
Speaker 6 (25:34):
But if you do have an iPhone and you double
tap your your lock.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
All your cards show up, and the fact that your
cards link to it, there's no way and as a teenager,
there's no way you can use it.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
I accidentally use your card? You did, yeah, of course,
and I thank you for those visuals. I want to say, wow,
I hate to show Stacey fire A. Zorah said that
it comes up and you can see which card like
your one.
Speaker 5 (26:00):
Your money that you earned is right there.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
But you went, I'm gonna use mama's one because I
will eventually ask for forgiveness or just hope she doesn't notice.
Speaker 6 (26:08):
Now all the kids are like there snutch.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Different colors, the different colored cards. I had to show
what it was all about. But this is a very
real thing, and to be fair, we've all actually done it,
or your kids have have done this. Right, asked for
the forgiveness, not for the permission. Your son did this, Robbie.
I tell you see, we were trying to I was
at the gas station. I thought up my car and
(26:32):
I went to go pay for my gas card.
Speaker 6 (26:35):
Decline.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Thank I thought, I'll try again because must be the
wrong something in the definitely some money in there. Tried
again and a decline. But the second time the guy
behind the counter said a declinent. He said it quite loud,
but there were people like at the back of me.
Was like, bro okay, I'm worried now. I thought I
got hacked or you know. Went on my phone and
(26:57):
I looked at my statements and I couldn't I couldn't
justify what was going up because there was so much
money going out and added up to be I think
it came up to be around eight hundreds and thousand
dollars what but you know what I mean. And it
was going through this one particular place. I was like, bro,
I'm scammed. Someone scanned me.
Speaker 7 (27:16):
What's going on? So you didn't recognize I didn't recognize
that it was going out.
Speaker 6 (27:19):
Who the transaction was going to?
Speaker 3 (27:21):
Yeah, okay, I mean later on we found out that
it was going to a TikTok live. So my son
was sitting there and gifting. You know, I don't know
how this works.
Speaker 8 (27:31):
Are up.
Speaker 6 (27:31):
I do know how it works.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
Some TikTok people can go live and you can send
them gifts. But those gifts, they actually have a monetary value.
So you've got to buy these little like emojis, I
guess is what you'd say, these gifts, and then you
can give them away to people.
Speaker 6 (27:45):
Who was he giving them to?
Speaker 3 (27:46):
He was giving it away to my in laws, so
my brother in law's lord nephews in Australia, so they
were over there in the school holidays.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
It kind of goes around secular economy and the Fano.
Speaker 7 (27:57):
Exactly, so at least it was internal.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
Takes a cut, you know, so they get a percentage,
but they don't get that money direct.
Speaker 3 (28:05):
And you know, in a way, he was like just gifting,
gift gifting. He was like, I think he thought he
cracked it, like, oh wow, that's going through There must
be some free giveaways.
Speaker 7 (28:15):
Dads out here.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Bro getting shamed at the colts and money. They were, well,
they're gifting old money away.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
Hey we're look us three, We're not the only ones
out of there that's got the stories. He ask for
forgiveness and not for permission. And let's be honest, you've
done it before, haven't you. You know, we've all we've
all sort.
Speaker 4 (28:34):
Of gone back to when my dad pushed his mom
and dad's car down the driveway and then took off
with it.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
So we want to know when's the time that either
your kids or yourself asked for forgiveness before asking for
the permission. Are you talking about the times that you
all your kids they ask for forgiveness but not for
the permission to do it?
Speaker 6 (28:55):
Some good text on eight to doublow.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
My personal favorite as one that I've also done, and
it is driving the car without asking, found out that
they had been driving the car on their learner license.
Speaker 6 (29:06):
But yeah, they just asked for forgiveness.
Speaker 5 (29:08):
Anderson as the party that they didn't ask.
Speaker 7 (29:15):
And we've got another one on the text.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
My son bought v Bucks what's the vasnight which came
up to five hundred dollars. No, no, But the funny
thing is he came and said sorry before we even
found out why he was sorry for until.
Speaker 6 (29:32):
We see.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
So they've really said for forgiveness before even being caught,
which was Grand Prince House.
Speaker 6 (29:42):
What about you, Tony, morning morning, Hey.
Speaker 16 (29:45):
Morning morning crew. How are you?
Speaker 7 (29:47):
Yeah, good Tony?
Speaker 6 (29:49):
So was it you that asked for forgiveness?
Speaker 5 (29:53):
Is not for permission?
Speaker 16 (29:54):
No, my co have to ask for forgiveness.
Speaker 6 (29:57):
What have they done or did?
Speaker 16 (30:00):
We're all going We're like, we're all in the same
boat when we become head of day. Yeah, my two daughters, Yes,
got the downloads of our accounts. When you when you
get paid, we all get paid on the same on
the same day. But they look at a mum and
dadts are behindh and now let's just use these and uh,
maybe they won't find out and then call it a
(30:24):
mistake and then they go, oh, yeah, I'm sure we're
out out of our account. Let me just check, and
then this no reply. You ad to the phone. It's
gone a voice mission.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
You're pretty though, Tony, your girls have access to your accounts?
Speaker 6 (30:41):
Is this for like uber or like Linked.
Speaker 16 (30:44):
Carts's twenty four emergencies and like when we need them
to sort out all the bills and we know what
we got left. I see that they do all the transactions.
And then we have like a family thing every week,
and then I'm going, oh, we meet channel coming from Hey,
(31:06):
we're not the wrong account. That's no matter what. At
the end of the day, the parents always there to
pick up the pieces, but not your bank account.
Speaker 6 (31:16):
Yeah, well we love that, Tony. Thank you so much
for sharing. Oh gosh, asking for forgiveness, but not for promotion.
Speaker 10 (31:28):
We've all done it.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
Hey, we've all done it this morning morning it was
Staces and Charlie. But we are not alone in the
studio and this is a very special gift. We are
very excited to have you here. General general fight, but Y,
it's good to have you in the studio.
Speaker 7 (31:49):
Mate.
Speaker 5 (31:50):
If you don't know, this is Charlie's nephew.
Speaker 6 (31:52):
More dinner morning, guys. Oh, exciting time, and there is
a reason for you being here. And it's not so
that we can all make fun of Charlie.
Speaker 5 (31:59):
Right, it's that is pretty fun though, pretty good pastime.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
And yeah, I have you noticed that you're sort of
like the running joke like, well, Charlie's the running joke
that you're way better than her singing?
Speaker 6 (32:10):
Do you get that out in the open?
Speaker 3 (32:12):
Like?
Speaker 6 (32:12):
Oh, who them talking about? To be honest, like, people
don't really bring up Charlie because.
Speaker 8 (32:21):
No competition.
Speaker 7 (32:25):
There's levels to this, so like, wow, she.
Speaker 5 (32:29):
Got so much name and you're in the new Peter
Pan music at you?
Speaker 7 (32:32):
Yes, so I actually have rehearsals after this.
Speaker 5 (32:35):
You're a man, You've got lots of work.
Speaker 8 (32:38):
How we do it? Win?
Speaker 6 (32:42):
Actually, yeah, he's too quick for you, Charlie.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
He knows that you're going to stitch him up, so
he's like, yeah, yeah, that's uncle business, say uncle. But
you know, it's really exciting because you are releasing fine,
all of the songs that you made when you were how.
Speaker 6 (33:03):
Old ten years old?
Speaker 3 (33:05):
Old?
Speaker 6 (33:05):
My gosh, yeah, how does that feel? Because how old
are you now?
Speaker 7 (33:10):
I'm eighteen nineteen this year? Oh my goodness boy now
he big boy, big man.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
Wait. Anyways, look at so we're going back in time
with the song crazy Cool. You recorded this song at
the age of ten, So why are we re releasing
old music?
Speaker 13 (33:34):
Well, you know, it's better than just keeping it in
the vault. You know, it's been sitting there for you know,
eight years now. Yeah, so I guess we just got
to release it.
Speaker 6 (33:42):
Yeah, right, moneth for the world to hear it.
Speaker 4 (33:45):
But basically what I'm reading into that is that you
couldn't release it until now, but we get to enjoy
it now, right, Yes. No, So when you were ten
years old singing that song, So if people don't know,
what is the story of how you ended up you know,
singing went three hazards Dad.
Speaker 13 (34:05):
Oh, it's a long story, but I guess they first,
you know, saw me singing at church and started with church, right,
And then I guess I was about ten years old
ninetys No, I can't really remember. But so there was
the one Love concert coming up, right, and I knew
that was my chance to you know, show the band
what I've got. So Charlie's band, I asked them, I
(34:29):
proposed a song. I was like, yeah, I want to
see in past the duchy with you guys?
Speaker 9 (34:33):
Is that all good?
Speaker 7 (34:33):
So they gave me a show, right.
Speaker 13 (34:36):
So I stepped on stage, you know, did my thing's
history history history.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
We're so excited for you, so you know it's not
going to just be one song, right, You're gonna multiple
songs are going to come out and people are going
to be able to enjoy it. It must be weird
for you though, like hearing your voice and you're so
much younger, Like.
Speaker 13 (34:54):
Yeah, it is actually just because you know, my voice
is a lot lower than I used to be. Yeah,
I didn't know it was going to be that loo
lower than Charlie's.
Speaker 7 (35:06):
Come Down, Come Down, young man.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
But like, see, the good thing about this is also
you get to look back at you at a young
age and you know and where you were where you
are now because you've obviously recorded heaps of so new
songs with this whatever voice that you got now, you know,
And I think it's good that people could sort of
look at you back then and this is you now,
(35:29):
you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (35:30):
Yeah, So the song.
Speaker 13 (35:31):
Crazy Caul was more of like a farewell, you know,
yeah to the era, Yeah, to the old.
Speaker 7 (35:35):
General fire like pre puberty. Sorry at the end of.
Speaker 13 (35:41):
The video clip, if you guys watch it, it's coming
out towelve pm. Guys, it's got to I write a
little message on a book and that message is like
a it's like a like a statement. Just music that's
coming out.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
Okay, So you're going to have younger you music come out,
and then you're going to have this version of you
music come out.
Speaker 6 (36:01):
It's gonna be my It's.
Speaker 13 (36:02):
Gonna be my last song with my old voice, right wow,
We're gonna send that off and bring in this new music.
Speaker 8 (36:12):
Is a journey.
Speaker 6 (36:13):
Is a journey.
Speaker 5 (36:14):
Where are people looking to see this video? At twelve
o'clock today.
Speaker 13 (36:17):

Speaker 6 (36:39):
Eighteen years old. Unbelievable. Are you proud?
Speaker 2 (36:42):
Sallie?
Speaker 10 (36:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (36:44):
Man?
Speaker 3 (36:44):
But like you know, what were your appearings thinking? Letting
you sing about a girl at that age?
Speaker 11 (36:48):
Bro?
Speaker 6 (36:50):
Did Atny sing about your girl once upon?
Speaker 2 (36:54):
Today is a pretty big day here at Flavor, and
it's because we will be saying goodbye to mass our

Speaker 8 (37:08):
It is my final show. That is wild and I
still don't think it's.
Speaker 4 (37:14):
No How do you feel because it's you know, been
a week now that you've been public about this, So
how are the emotions?
Speaker 8 (37:23):
Oh my gosh, it was so tough giving it a

words from our flavor heads, and I got to say,

in one single a week.
Speaker 6 (39:16):
Naughty mass.

You know Charlie he won't take yehutlabed after softage rolls.
Speaker 7 (39:25):

Speaker 6 (40:17):

Speaker 4 (40:18):
Quite nineteen ninety seven, we were all uplifted by the
album from Damn Native Copapa driven rhymes, uplifted tracks like this.
Speaker 5 (40:27):
Mahoma cool style, Well fuck with my mommy.
Speaker 4 (40:30):
I'm gonna let the memory think they can because here
he is from Damn Native Danny.
Speaker 6 (40:38):
Welcome, Welcome.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
Let's be honest, man, you're way ahead of time. Like
when you listen to this sound, it still sounds like
you know today sound. If I'm being honest, and I
think there's a beauty about music. Is you got that timeless,
the timeless classic sound brother, It's.
Speaker 14 (40:52):
Something that the timeless uh comment that I've heard a
lot and I totally agree with.
Speaker 7 (40:59):
It, and it's a blessing. One hundred It's a blessing.
Speaker 4 (41:02):
And so the thing is, we are now celebrating some
really special news. Danny tell us what the people have
been waiting for a long time for Damn Native to
do this. But what's happening.
Speaker 14 (41:12):
The re release of Copper Driven on Rhymes Uplifted on
Vinyl just hit the shelves a week ago and so
and the main copeper for me with this album has
always been and will always be this. I have to
thank the people of alter Or and many people around
(41:34):
the globe for their love, their their are fee, their
total or their support. I'm so grateful for that and
I'm indebted to the people for that because it has
enhanced my life somewhat.
Speaker 8 (41:46):
So thank you.
Speaker 5 (41:47):
But you all take us back though.
Speaker 4 (41:49):
I mean, I'm excited too that yes, we can stream
Copper Driven Rhymes Uplifted now, but also on vinyl.
Speaker 5 (41:55):
Why was it important to you to bring out in
vinyl Fest?
Speaker 7 (41:58):
The re release was not actually my idea, I have
to be honest.
Speaker 14 (42:01):
It was two people in the industry, very good friends
Mint to Moon and Gareth I Sony Records, and it
was dear idea. I was quite happy to where the
album is. You know, it's a tongue around my neck
and it's in my heart and I will always love it.
But I didn't feel the need to re release it
on anything. So I must give thanks to to Moon
and Gareff who orchestrated.
Speaker 7 (42:23):
That I did nothing.
Speaker 16 (42:25):
I did zero.
Speaker 10 (42:26):
You know, I do a bit of back in promo.
Speaker 8 (42:28):
And you know what that is.
Speaker 7 (42:30):
That's your royalty. You know, just relax, let us do
that my hand.
Speaker 1 (42:36):
You know what.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
I love Danny and this is a this is a
quote from you too. I have been blessed to be
a part of the golden era of New Zealand hip
hop in the nineties. Like, you know, for people that
don't understand, like myself. You know, I was born in
the year nineteen ninety seven, Like what was what was
it like?
Speaker 6 (42:52):
Look?
Speaker 14 (42:53):
Special time? You know, it's a special time. That is
beyond words for me as far as what it was like, crazy,
absolutely crazy. I mean, my goodness, sometimes I wake up,
and I think, am I still here? I'm still I survived.
I'm but a blessing. So you know, one of the
main things that I get from that era is the
(43:15):
relationships that I formed in the Golden era. They are
still the same relationships going strong as I have today.
My kids were born out of that area.
Speaker 7 (43:24):
Uh my, my, the Boss, my beautiful wife.
Speaker 14 (43:27):
The Boss was of course hip hop, so everything they
still remain strong today. So all of the people involved
in that album still strong relationships today, all of the crews,
you know, all of.
Speaker 5 (43:38):
The cop because I look my patter and all of that.
That still hurts for sure.
Speaker 14 (43:43):
And and and you know that's that's damn need of.
That's damn native though, to to uphold the money of ulterior,
to uphold the money of damn need of. You know,
the love that I have for this country knows no
bounds and all.
Speaker 7 (43:56):
Of the people in it.
Speaker 14 (43:57):
And so as an artist, that is one of the
great driving forces in damn need You know, I can
honestly say I look at their record Copaper driven rooms
up left that and I say, I didn't write that record.
Speaker 7 (44:11):
Two wrote that record.
Speaker 10 (44:13):
I just held the pin.
Speaker 4 (44:23):
Also, you're steazy like your style of the time. You
must look back and you go, I actually, actually I
love pretty cool.
Speaker 14 (44:29):
Well, well, the thing is, you know, you've got to
think about it. An obsist kid from ten years old
with dancing, you know, the Bop Olympics. It just swept
us this country by storm dance. I still dance today,
you know, not break downs that pop in lock, but
so an obsisted kid. And when the hip hop, the
rapping came in and everything came in afterwards. Opposition is
(44:50):
the only way to put it. You know, my my, my,
my parents, my family that I've known since day one.
Speaker 8 (44:56):
That's just me.
Speaker 14 (44:57):
But I consider myself, you know, a crossman of the
culture in order the elements and and and and you know,
looking like I look at you know, it's.
Speaker 13 (45:08):
Part of it.
Speaker 3 (45:09):
Man.
Speaker 4 (45:15):
