excuses you used here right here on the podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Everybody, good morning. You're just with the Zira and Challie
this morning. I hope you guys had a good long weekend.
If you had to do the.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Money well time and a half day and Louis, you
know that's the treats man, do the mo hey, get
the treats.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
A How did it go the long weekend? I know
that Devin, your partner, met your dad for the first time. Yeah, yeah, man,
spell the tear baby.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
I don't know what it is. You know, I'm a
grown woman now, but I still be I still get nervous.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
I was like, oh my gosh, just please, you know,
get along like him, you know my dad.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Also, I knew he was going to.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Say something inappropriate or be weird, just to test him out,
you know, just to test him out. And he did that,
like he straightaway made like a really weird, inappropriate joke,
and I was like, and also, my dad, he's never
been a sports guy. But we get in the car,
we're coming back from the airport. Oh sports, sports, sports,

(01:25):
Oh yeah, you watch the rugby bro, and he's like
talking rugby with dev which he knows that my partner's
really into rugby and rugby league.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
And I was like, that's making the effort, you know,
just to make him feel a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
He just take it easy, you know. I'm good. You've
got this coming as a parent.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
You know, they'll come a day where you're going to
meet you know, one of one of their partners, and
I mean it's awkward, man like for everyone involved. I
was sitting in the middle while they were talking, just like.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
That's good. That's good. They got off on the right foot,
and yeah, that's all. That's all that.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Matters, exactly exactly. So tick, that's done. Oh my gosh,
panic over to.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Come home and you're like, man, I must have dad.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Yet they're putting Yeah, but it was awesome, So that's good.
That so great.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
The mess is you know, it's that time of the
year where school athletics and this is as Perius this
is your time to go in and and watch your kids,
support them and just be happy.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
It's not just school athletics as well, because I remember
when I was younger, and I'm sure they still do this.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Like I remember going to the Talco.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Fields in the deep deep deep South and they would
do summer athletics, so you would just go along on
like a Tuesday night and just run around and do
different athletics.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Have you heard of that before? No, No, it could
be a rural thing. I'm not quite sure, but.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
No, But we're talking about school athletics with old children.
This is the season for it. And oh man, this
is the funniest thing. My son was all about it.
Rob comes to me and his mom, Oh, you guys
need to do this.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
We're wearing yellow. Can you get us yellow?

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Because you know you're put into house colored cow fire
fedor and and so forth. So I'm in team Corfi.
We need yellow yellow bands. And it was all about
the whole weird like from head to yeah. Like even socks.
I remember looking on marketplace for these socks because that's
you couldn't really find yellow socks anyway, right, We ended
up finding it and he went looking like a banana.

(03:35):
But that was all good. But the whole lead up
to this Azora was that he was, you guys need
to come and watch me. I'm doing shop bought, I'm
doing long job. I'm doing like sprints one hundred meters.
Oh yell, let's go sun, let's do.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
This, bro. And then the Friday I get there, I
see my son. Bro. He's like bright yellow.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
I'm like, that's my boy. That's my banana.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
And then I see everybody getting up getting ready for
their heats, or the shop porters going to the shop port,
all the long jumpers going where they need to be.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
But tell me why that's my boy? Exactly where's my banana?
I'm looking for my banana.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
He's going to the teacher and I'm like thinking, okay,
then he's probably going to ask a question about you know,
maybe one of the rules.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
And the nah nah.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
He goes to the teacher, and then when he leaves
the teacher's little tint, I see him with a clipboard.
I'm like, okay, well, what's this guy up to? Tell
me why my son was geeing me and his mom
up the whole entire week to come watch them help
facilitate the athletics day.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Oh like, oh my gosh, oh my goodness, Rob.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Rob.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
The thing is it is like where was the lie
dead he was? You know, he's like, Dad, I'm on
the shop put dead on this. I didn't lie, he
didn't say he was competing. So you never you never
stopped to think, maybe these are the roles that.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Can be played exactly how analytics. That's funny.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
So when he said I'm gonna do this, I'm going
to do that, she just meant he's gonna judge. It's
gonna make sure that everybody is staying in the lane.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Everybody's a good skill they have though, yeah, it's a
good skill here.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
But that is pretty funny.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
So you've technically showed up to athletics to watch your
son be a helper.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
You know I was there. You should have to watch
him be a helper.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
But yeah, I was still happy, you know, to be honest, like, Okay,
this is gonna be a long day.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
And didn't know that's the funny thing.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
He walks away with his little clipboard and then he
goes see where the shop port is there and he's
like waving up.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Dad, Oh it's so cute.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Just leave the power aids in the couch. Save them
for Sunday, Save them for Sunday.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
You know the thing.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
The thing is with the athletics, it's quite funny.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
You either have the people that will me and it's
like I was involved and I wanted to be not
very good, not very good. So you did athletics and
you were good at athletics. I did it because I
love participating. But then there's another group of people that
we don't talk about enough. And that group is not
I'm not just saying the helpers, it's the people that
have the excuses.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Oh you're telling me excuses why they didn't do well,
excuses why you know.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Then on the.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Other day, it's just like it seems to be either
a fashion show or excuses show.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
You could be playing rugby like a playtime the Miami.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Now that's why it didn't come first in the one
hundred meters because it doesn't yeh see, bro.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Told you shouldn't let me wear your shoes.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
What excuses have you who during athletics? Maybe you used
one to get out of it, or maybe you know
you didn't do too well so.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
B or maybe you're too scared. Excuses excuses we're talking.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
About athletics, man, because that.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Day comes around.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
You know, it was a little bit of a fashion
show for me. Made sure my hair was washed, my
legs were shaved, if you know Misscara on Hello Kitty,
you know, spray or imposion on the warehouse.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Yeah, bro, that's the time.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
So you're not going to be in uniform, so you
kind of got to dress it up a little bit.
But this is the thing with athletics, man, there's so
many different types of people there. They are the ones
that just help like your son did, yeah, clipboard in hand,
so one like me who are more there to make
sure the face paint on the face looks pretty. Uh.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
There's the actual athletes who are there to compete and
hopefully go to nationals.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
And then there's the excuses for why they didn't do well.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Slash didn't actually show up, oh man.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Like honestly, I've heard all the excuses, and especially from
my brother, Like because my brother Johny wasn't the he
was in the fleet type, you know what I mean.
He was more just prom just gonna go there all
the boys and just have a look. But then there
it came one time where he had he had to race.
It was compulsory that he had to race. And I

(08:09):
remember when he had this race. It was the one
hundred meters race.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
By the way, he came home and he was like
walking around the whole house like yep, I.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Came forth from the fourth fastest in the whole school,
only to find out that there was only four people
racing that day. Bro, I'm like, bros, But those excuses.
You know, I didn't bring my esthma pump I didn't bring.
So he was always making I didn't bring the right
So okay, we're running in berf Oh no, my feet's
not good on grass, bro.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
You know, so that's the why he's the same as
some people on a two double. I've heard someone say, yeah,
told the tech train Esthma, I don't told the tri Esthma.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Not.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Someone saying I said it was that time of the month,
so that way I didn't have to do it.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Oh wow, the lengths we go to, the lengths we
go to.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Uh, this one here is that we went to watch
our kids and their cousins cross country and when the
hood went off, you know, they went on one hundred
like they went the hardest they can for the first
two hundred meters and then they stopped and then walked
off crying. None of them realized how long cross country was.
I had to tell them, don't worry. US Islands is
a bit different, I know, but it's all in the
stamini or not that stops running as well. My excuses.

(09:18):
I didn't know how long cross country course was. It
was MIHAMI hey, you know what I mean, like hammi
bad shoes, not having the right gear.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
But that's actually what smart though. If you did a
bull rush at lunchtime.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
See that's it. We're in a flavor. Well, I was
the fastest in my school. This is SMC and Auckland,
so yep. Definitely was a highlight.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
That's fair. Athletics day. It was a highlight.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
It was either people you know, they saw that down
the clans and they're like this is this is this
is going to be me and then others are like, mom,
I've got temperature. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
All the little boys doing set ups, trying to get
just for athletics day, gol.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Finally it has happened. It has been done. O idol
is complete, it's done in dusted.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
So Sunday it went down and this is my dad
I'm telling you man, he runs this is like his
little boot camp. It was like done like in the
fashion of New Zealand Idol, but bomb Air, Idol and
Sunday went down. And let me tell you this, when
my kids got up to see my dad was a

(10:28):
surprise guest.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
He goes, I'll be joining you guys. You know what
I mean.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
But they do this sometimes sometimes on the Idol shows,
like the coach they come in.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
For a performance.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
You know, it's just like when the coach is like, okay,
I want to name the team.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Starting lineup myself.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
That was my dad, Like you bro, My dad goes, okay, guys,
we're going to see you, but I'll be joining you guys.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
But I understand this right. So you know, all of
your kids, all of all of now your dad, all
of his grandkids. This is what it was for performing
at the church. You know, all the poms getting up
there singing together.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
It was a big moment for him. He was meant
to have them all, you.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Know, trying to learn instruments, picking a lead singer, practicing
over the school holidays, and what happened.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
They didn't even do any of that. So I'm not
surprised that.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Your dad had to get up because not gonna lie
or your kilds say Seleck Dolph and decided to do
ping pong tournament the entire school holidays.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
So my dad said to me, I gotta bring out
the guns man. He said, you know what's missing, you
guys are missing bass. So I want to sing bass
for you guys today. I'm like, okay, Dad, get yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
And this is how it sounded.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
Like, okay.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
You can hear the difference between your dad and I'm like, okay,
is not like, you know, seeing them all getting up
even though they put a no practice thankfully naturally talented.
But you know, was it quite sweet seeing it was
it was your kids with your dad.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
So this is my my dad and the kids practicing
at home before the big the big night. And then
when we got to church, it was quite like a
heartfelt moment where my dad got up there with his
morcus and the basis went from he just starts crying,
I starts crying and I'm like, right, okay. Then you

(12:33):
know I wanted to film this, but then the moment
it just would have been weird.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
And some things don't have to be on camera.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
And That's how I know it must have been heartfelt
because you record everything. I know. And I said to
my kids, you know what, man, if my dad ever
passes away, and that time will come, you know what
I mean, Like we all got to pass away at
some point. This is a memory that my kids can
talk about.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
You know.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
They got to sing all my dad and you know
it's beautiful.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
I mean, And here is the reason for them, you
know when you really think about it.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
But you don't do that again right there? If you
wanted the basement, just tell me Dad. I was in
the crowd, man, I was there. Call me up, stay
Zarah and Charlie and who do we have here? Guys?
This is exciting.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
This is like Christmas come early for me because I've
been pushing this for the last two weeks or so
and to get these boys. They are the biggest thing
on social media right now and honestly, me, the kids
and everyone else, you guys are a part of this
as well.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
When I send you guys the videos. In the studio,
we are joined by Peter and James.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
You can also say, you know so, Jax and to
introduce it.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
I want them to introduce this. Okay, Look, do you go,
Charlie everyone that jacks and that your boy too?

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yeah, yes, who needs to DJ when you got this
at the moment, I'm your guy's biggest fans.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
And honestly, this is all thanks to my kids and
you know, social media these days, it's like if the
kids are on, then it's going to be massive, you know.
So I've my son Rob Honestly, I told him broke
it's here, we got on the studio.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
He's like, Dad, don't lie to me.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
That don't light to me, you know, I mean, he's
getting his frills, and I goes, I don't care.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
I don't care.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Ye off man, did you, like, you know, when when
coming up, especially with those like one liners, did you
think that they would take off the way that they did?

Speaker 5 (14:40):
Now, well, my family already suck of it and going
I was like, look, but yeah, I get I get
a lot of kids coming up to me now in
the public saying I don't care. So it's pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
I feel like in schools now, like when I hook plus,
it's just you're pissing me.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Up, waiting for the teachers to be like, what's going on?

Speaker 3 (15:05):
You know, I'm blaming you guys. Man, this is my
four year old son. I'm like this, no, come on,
it's bedtime, and this is a reply to me.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
I'm okay. I feel like you guys need to apologize.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
Guys kids come up and being like brog on my
phone taking off me for saying I don't care.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
So well, we've got you here. Here's the official apologies
for the appearance.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Take it away.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
I just want to say, I apologize for uh, making
your kids.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
I don't care.

Speaker 5 (15:45):
Kids keep going, you know.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
And that's what I wanted to talk about, is you know,
creating content is is something that we're all consuming it,
do you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Like I'm on my phone all the time.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
And so are these kids, so you know, to jump
and to something like that and potentially, you know, make
it a full time gig. I mean, how hard is
it and when do you know to go? You know what, Hey,
let's make this full time?

Speaker 5 (16:10):
Yeah, what'll sort of in the process of just soaking
it all them like opportunities only just studying t happen.
So I know, I think we'll know when the times
already because because he's still working full time, I'm currently
on medical.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
It comes.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Yeah, Look, we just want to say thank you so
much for coming in studio.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
This has been.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Everyone's kids will be sitting there like, oh my god.
You know, and if anyone wants to give you guys
a follow week, can they find you.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.

Speaker 5 (16:46):
Yeah for a two p h A t Z for.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Also Jack's on on all platforms.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Thank you guys so much for coming in boys bro lot.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
So this is where we put up on Flavor Radio's
Instagram story a question. It's so simple. You're either one
or you're the other. And we saw this article online
and there's quite a few people talking about it on
the internet, and it's what the newer generation is doing
now at bards, they are at some lining up whereas you,

(17:35):
you know, you might remember the fact that people just
sort of gether move forward to sometimes pushing forward, and
that's how people would order.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Their drink or order their food.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
But you know a photo which we put on Flavor
Radio's Instagram story that shows, you know, the way that
they're standing, which I think, I don't know, I don't
know how I feel about it.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
So we asked the question. We asked the question, how
are you lining up or a drink? At a pub
single file or spread out across the bar. Do you
know what, man, you come across as a person that
just spreads across the bar, like you know, you just
take up the whole.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
I'm here like that, I want to order give me this,
but like you.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Know, people excuse me. I know you work at Flavor Bike.
Can you just get it as if I have from Flavor.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
I have such good line etiquette, like I do not
cut in lines. I do not like line cutters, like
I am like the line police. Like honestly, I will
stand there, I'll notice if someone's sneaking in there. So no,
I don't do that. But yeah, you are right, I'm
spread out. I'm spread out and I think lining up
though I also kind of understand it.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
But how do you line up straight up? Single file?

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Like? But the obviously the thing is you know that
does block toilets and always and tables. But man, get
more bar stuff then, because sometimes you are literally waiting
at the front, you know, all spread out across nothing.
You're like you're dear for ages. Nothing makes you want
to walk out and leave a place more and like

(19:15):
you you're already gonnet to wait for the drinks or
the food let alone having to wait like twenty minutes
just to make the order. That that to me is crazy.
So I totally get why people would would line up
single file. But you know what, what if the people
sit online all right?

Speaker 1 (19:30):
Other people that have said that they spread out compared
to line up single file.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
So to the pole, single file nineteen percent, spread out
across the bar eighty one percent. So majority of us
are spreading across the bar. But see there's the worst
part as well. When you're spread it across the bar,
the waiter will come the way that wants to serve you,
but you're too busy talking to somebody that's mixxy.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Yeah that's not me, Bro, that's not me. I'm going
up there with an action plan. I've got my order
locked and loaded. Maybe we could wring ahead. I think
the order on the phone. Now.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
I'm going to be there at four.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
I want to assume with you you know what my
brother did to prepare prepare for a night out on Friday, Charlie,
because I don't think you would have heard of this.
Have you heard of a tech nap? What's a tech
nap attack?

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Nap attack like attack like attacking someone?

Speaker 2 (20:23):
No, no, tech is short for what technical, Yes, a
technical nap. So basically what he did was we were
on our way, you know, to the bar. He lives
about thirty minutes out from town by the way, I
was a leaving. It was a leaving get together with

(20:43):
his friends. Thankfully we were down that weekend because he's
crazy and he's.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Going to walk the length of New Zealand.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
So you know, he he decided, oh man, let me
just take a quick nap. But in the car on
the way there, no, no, no, I'll be good. I'll
be good once I have a tech nap, and he,
I'm not kidding, bunched up his jumper like took his
little jumper off, laid on it, and he fell asleep

(21:09):
for five minutes, and he woke up and sad, Oh,
I feel so much better. I'm like, what But but
the thing, See, when you're having like small little doses
of like your sleep is not like not over an hour,
you feel more energized. See when I have like longer sleep,
so I feel like I'm lazy. Yeah you know what
I mean. But I you straighten me as the kind

(21:31):
of person that tech naps, like takes the technical nap
you know, like, oh, yeah, yeah, be this soon, just quick.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
I do that. You are right, I do that a lot.
Remember the time when.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
You were waiting for me at the Kiwis versus Psalmorgan
last year.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Yeah, yeah, I took a technic. Is that what you
were doing?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah? He never even told me that, I know. And
then when you missing it, are you? Are you almost there?

Speaker 2 (21:58):
And I'm like, I'm on my way here was kind
of oh it's the techne Everyone does it. I swear,
you know quick twenty broke.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
The world is My oyster. Now the world is my oyster.
Stay Zorah and Charlie.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
It was the year twenty thirteen Mariah Carey went on
Good Morning America to do a live performance. Now, Mariah
had been singing for whoa a long time by then,
you know, she she was already popped off in the
nineties early nineties, so everyone knew what Mariah can sing,
but there was always a bit of speculation.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
You know, does she do them live? Can she still sing?
Is this track?

Speaker 4 (22:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Yeah, yeah exactly.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
But I think it's important to remember that vocally, Mariah
Carey's songs are quite hard.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
I mean, listen to this, what about this? Yeah, why
do I hear that now? Oh my gosh, singer.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
But this is the thing, right, her songs are very,
very hard, and the song that she chose to perform
was we Belong Together. I don't a hard song to sing,
to be honest, well, you are a singer, like how
hard out of ten?

Speaker 1 (23:27):
It depends what time it is? Good morning, morning, exactly
it was.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
This was just after eight am in the morning when
her backing track didn't work, so she had no help.
She had no support, which, by the way, everyone, it's
not that big of a deal to have a backing track. Okay,
a lot of artists do it because it's hard on
the voice. Mariah Carey she well, she was meant to
rely on that backing track. It didn't come through. And

(23:55):
this is how her performance sounded.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Very good, Bundy.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
Can we just all agree amazing, right, like she was amazing?

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Well went wrong? So yeah, exactly exactly.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
But I think she looked really stressed, really angry at
the end, like she turned around and like somebody's getting fired.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Somebody is getting fired, man, And.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
You know, I think it's not really your fault.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
It was the morning.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
It's like eight o'clock in the morning, she's outside on
a stage and she thought there was going to be
a backing track. And so what people have said online
is she hadn't warned up her voice properly because she
hadn't expected to do some of those notes. But when
it failed, she reminded us, I'm a right here.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
I'm sorry human, but I just like all things, man,
if you fail to prepare, prepare to fail there.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
So what do you do?

Speaker 2 (25:07):
I was warm up, Yeah, exactly, I'm prepared for.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
They're ready, man.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Little challenge updates. We're all on the BFT eight week Challenge, myself,
you and producer Anna. Stacey is not and doesn't like
caring about it.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
And this is why we are talking about this finally,
because Stace is a way and it must come out
to play.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
No, I mean my challenge update. But I fell off.
I fell off on the weekend. It's not what I
want to hear.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
I know, I know, I know, but this is really
important to remember. I've never set out to win the challenge.
I've set out to do better.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
Than I was yesterday.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
Exactly, and I already am like I went away to
Crostrich on the weekend to see my family, you know.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
I'm not like you.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
I'm not built like you. I'm not going to go
to you know, breakfast and not order anything. I'm not
going to be out all day somewhere and not eat
all day if there's nothing on my meal plan. You know, Like,
I just don't roll like that. And you know me, like,
there's just no way I would make that, Like I
just I couldn't. I couldn't start myself. It'll be rude,
not to be rude, not to so. Yeah, but I

(26:19):
had ice cream, I had Nando's, I had a piece
of KFC chicken.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
It was good. It was good, all in moderation.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
This was across the entire week, Yeah, to be fair,
And I was being conscious that I didn't get any
chips or hot dog at the Kiwis game because.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
That would have been me, man, they would have been me.
Any beersies, yeah too.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
But I was drinking the low short sugar and clorie
drinks are nice.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Hey, look, thank you for the full disclosure and honest,
just being honest.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Yeah, no, man, But how are you feeling, like, are
you moving? Are you feeling a little bit fitter? A
hundred percent? I definitely feel worse from that weekend than
I did going into it, do you know what I mean?
Because I was obviously eating so much healthier that you
can feel it. You can feel it when you, you know,
you fall off a little bit, especially when you've been exercising.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
What about you, how have you been going, Nah, I've
been I've been pretty good. Yeah. So the other morning,
so Monday, and I and a couple of old teammates,
because you know, you're put into a team when you're
in these challenges. We went up to Camp Sladden on
the weekend on Sunday night, so nice and early little stroll,
and then we came down to after the walk, after

(27:39):
the hike, we came to Malbourne and Monaco and everyone
ordered whatever they wanted because you know, it's like the
whole calories and calories out there. But then they couldn't
make oats because there they were saying that they already
mixed their oats together with sugar and all this stuff
and they just make it.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
So it's like, do you think you can take the
sugar because I packed my own little routine and a
little classic bags.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
Charlie, this is this is the problem with you, I know, man.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
So when I'm when I'm in a challenge, bro, my
mind's fixed. That's not there as that's it, it's done.
So then everyone was laughing at me, but I was
taking the serious. So then I went over to the
counter and I was telling the lady, okay, but if
you guys come back the oats, can you guys just
make me an egg white omelet?

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (28:23):
And then they end up making it just a normal omelet.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
You guys are honestly, you don't understand Charlie. This is
it's too much. You're with other people that are on
the challenge. You know, all these special requests. You have
our local cafe, own and making new meals. You you're
going places not eating you you go to places with.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
Yesterday powder, I went all the kids yesterday. We had
a little day out. We came back to Roses and
Takapuna and we had the the kids had the Nacho's
burgers and everything. I was just watching, but you know,
it didn't even make me feel hungry on it anyway, Like.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
When what a liar? What a liar?

Speaker 2 (29:09):
But when this challenge is over, you're not going to
do what you always don't.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
But I'll try and maintain because the diet that I'm
more thanks to witter athletic like, it's not too bad,
it's it's maintainable.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Honestly, that doesn't sound fun to me. It doesn't sound
fun to me having to change your meals and stuff
like the lifestyle man. Bar I was more like, oh,
but you well, when you're not on a challenge bi
every day.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
Two hours in the morning. This is what I'm trying
to say. Man, that moderation, Road Moderations, the.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
Latest celebrity gods from around the world, Flavor Breakfast, oh
m go.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Oh man, these two are really doing it.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Man.

Speaker 3 (29:54):
First it was the Steel Gin now Snoop Dogg says
his missionary album with Doctor Dres coming in December, and
you know what, this is going to be massive. He
goes to Instagram and he posts himself up as a
boomerangue in front of like the death row in front
of the death Row sign when his caption is like

(30:14):
pause Jim microphone and he said Missionaries coming soon and
according to like Doctor Dre, this is some of his
best work.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
Yeah, they've been working on it for ages. So December
is the massive betweeny twenty four, maybe it's drop it
like it's.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
Haar and In other news, Dwayne Wade was honored in
Miami at the Case the case I Center. So this
is where Miami. He is the home of it. I mean,
he's done fourteen seasons there, which is so so impressive
for any so any player. Fourteen seasons is a long
time in general. You know, he's an NBA champion, a

(30:51):
thirteen time NBA All Star. And when he was honored,
he got a statue. But the internet, oh no, they
don't like the statue. Oh no, people are saying it
looks nothing like him. During his speech, he did say this.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
That's crazy. I can't believe that. Who's that guy? I
don't think he said who is that guy? So he's
not that's crazy. I can't believe that who's that guy? Yeah,
I'm not gonna lie. It doesn't it doesn't look like
come in would ever do that? Man? I don't know.
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
I feel I do feel bad for him because that's
all the antony it tends to be talking about. And
if you want to see the picture takes o MG
to eight two double oh.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
This is the funniest thing, like the most random parts
to this is that, like, you know, while we're having
our video call last night yesterday for work, my son
runs up to me, nah, and he like he's so
proud that his tooth came out, like the two bottom
Like what Yeah. He comes running out like that, look
my teef, my teeth. And while we're on the call,

(31:57):
and he wanted to show you guys, like you know,
like his little missy teeth, and I swear it's the
most ugliest looking thing because you can actually park a car.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
No, I know.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
But then you know he runs with his teeth because
I think he pulled it out himself or.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
You we all do like we we all purposely play
with the loose teeth until they fall out.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
I want to know.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
And you're from your point of view, your perspective. Is
he wanting the tooth out so that he can get
his adult teeth or is that because he knows the tooth.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
Theories because that's the whole teeth to very thing.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
And you know, he's like giving it to his mom,
giving us his mom, and I think his mom for money,
like like I'm like b you know, and then the
boys like I could tell that something was up yesterday
when when I was out with him, because he was
like I could see his tongue pushing through the teeth.
So then when he finally got the tooth out, it

(32:53):
was he's a great game.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
I've been working on this all day. I've been hard
work there.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
Yeah, my kids have a who's got a list? So
the Missy Teva is going to be even worse.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
I'm gonna tell you who hates to see me coming?
Bro a time zone? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Why an arcade?

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Because over the weekend I won two jackpots. Baby. I
was like, yeah, stop these kids, man, stop these kids.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
The first machine I went on, it was like I
had to get the ball through this hole and it
drops down, so the odds of you know, it perfectly
fall falling and getting into the hole of the jetpot
is really really hard because you know, everything's spinning and
it's lighting up as.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
You can imagine. I won the jetpot.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
I go to the machine which is the same one,
but like, you know, a second one. I won that
one throughout too. I was like, no way that did
not just happen. And all I could think, you know,
after when I was looking around the shop, which is
always a rip off with my tickets, thinking what to get,
I was looking at this kid with only his three
hundred tickets like.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Enjoy you're lollipops. You're getting how many tickets you win?

Speaker 2 (34:04):
Like with the jackpopt I won five hundred on each machine,
five hundred and something, which isn't actually as good as
I would have hoped.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
But that's okay. I got a toy, you know.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
See, I'm out here flixing with my toy past these
kids like have fun, guys have done.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
But I hate to be a parent. That's just watching
you win all this. What my kids are?

Speaker 3 (34:23):
Mom?

Speaker 1 (34:24):
Mean she took all the tickets? Well, the thing is
is you've got kids.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
The only difference between me and you is that I
pay for my own whereas you pay for everyone's, I know.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
And that's the worst part being an adult in the
arcade game zone all this.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
No, being an adult in an arcade is great.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
It's being a parent in an arcade now that it's
not really not really a place you want to be,
right honestly.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
Man, you you shouldn't not even go anywhere near your
time zone, bro, especially if the little kids are there.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
Right.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
I want to hear more of Stacey there and Charlie
Cat it's them weekday mornings from Sex, or tryvia of
