Speaker 1 (00:01):
The Flavor podcast Network.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
You're listening to Stacis Zura and Charlie's off the Record.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
What's your record?

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Welcome to off the Record with staces Zura and Charlie.
This is where, you know, we bring things here that
maybe we don't.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Want all the ears to hear on the radio. This
is so funny though.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
So yesterday I went to a Christmas lunch put on
by a program I'm a part of called Age Concern.
It's a nationwide program basically just to support the older
communities where the you know, it's through activities, food, connecting
them with other people. And I have an old person
buddy called Judith. She's my dear friend. We've been friends

(00:45):
for about three years now. So we got the invite,
you know, to go along to a free lunch to
the Pamuel Basin. It's called Wellington's Restaurant's part of all
these big lodges and conference rooms and stuff. Yeah yeah, yeah,
is a buffet. Yeah, yes, that's the one. That's the one.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
That's the one.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
But you know the thing about Judith, bless her heart,
I love her in a door hers so much, but
she is blind. And the reason I'm saying bliss her
heart is. I think she thinks I'm very large.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
What do you mean, girl?

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Because she made a comment right.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
So when I picked her up from her room, there's
a wheelchair there, and she sat in the wheelchair and
I'm taking her out front and she said, oh my gosh,
you must be getting so tired.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
From walking down the hallway. You're going to be so
exhausted enough to pushing me around now. She said different.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Comments like that times. It's her way of saying thank
you for doing this for her. Has she touched you ever?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
She holds my arm to go thing, which again I
don't have small arms, and if never, it's never been
a small area for me. Even at my Thinness, my
arms always look and they're very squshy, there's no muscle there,
and I think Judith, Judith, No, she doesn't do that.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Yeah, but watch part of your arms.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
She's feeling something though. I think she's feeling my arm
fat because she goes just like it stays. I know
she's been nice, but it's also she goes, oh, you
must be getn so tired, And I'm like, babes, I'm
walking you down a hallway.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
It's fine.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
And then she said, oh, you're going to have a
good nap after today, having a walk me around everywhere.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
And I'm like, she's like, it's not like.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
It's one time you missed seeing him because you're having
a nap. So maybe that's the reference. But also she's
a very small person, isn't she.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah she is.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
She is probably just you know, she knows that you're
you can tell out of your busy schedule to be
there with her, So that's just her being nice.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
I think it is because she always worries it tired,
you don't want to do it.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Yeah, yeah, you know, so she knows that you're a
young lady and you have a busy life.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Yeah, sorry to interrupt.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
How old is she?

Speaker 3 (03:16):
I think she's like Sivines, she's in New Sianes.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Maybe I think under seventy five.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
I think she's getting close to eighty actually, because just
doing the method on how long you've been hanging out.
But that is like it's generational thing. They say things
like that, like of course you must be getting tired,
which means thank you for pushing me around.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
That's still what you're saying today, Not like she's struggling. No, no, no,
you're thinking different.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
It's just like, did you do my own insecurities? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:42):
When I go pick up my mom to take her groceries, like,
I'm sorry, so I know you're you know you're tired
from work. I'm like both, I am tired, but like
I'm here, do you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
It's just like yeah, well, okay, well I'm glad I
think that because I don't want to mind.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
You know, they do just say pretty pretty honest.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Yeah, my mother in law pops out was awesome, straight
up comments.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
You know I love that. What like what, well, yeah,
let me think about one. Well, I know you know
what I mean, like just spit it out.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
No, okay, so I'm not going to say it, but
I do get off the record.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Man.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
What's it about.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
It's about when Stace made her announcement and I was
at the gym and what the lady said to me,
Oh yeah, yeah, she's quite an old lady, all right,
you know.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
So it's like, yeah, it's the old people, no filter,
they're no foot dummy, and if.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
You put it on wait, especially like the tongue and
aunties and mum bro, they will tell you. They will
tell you like before before they even say hello, they'll
just say you're gone fat.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Yeah, But also they say you've gone fair or you're
too skinny. They never seems to be.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
In between, but in between, You're right, Yeah, they do
say that.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
And the lady at the gym, by the way, just
that wasn't bad what she said Wow. She didn't need
to add the fact that she goes, oh wow.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
I wanted to tell you guys. She goes, oh, she
that Stacey's leaving. I'm like, yeah, yeah, no, She's had
good run. She's like, oh, I'm not gonna listen no more.
I'm like, Okay, Zara and I are still work there. Funny.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
I love it. I love the honesty, I love the bluntness,
and I love you Jude.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
