the Record with Stace's, Zarah and Charlie. Things come here
that didn't go on here. Next weekend, it's a big
weekend for I'd like to see my partner Devin. But

it's actually a big weekend for my dad as well,
because they are meeting each other, my dad and my partner. Yeah,
except it feels weird because I have you prepped them
or trained them up? Like I hate no, like they'd
be like this or oh my dad or divin I
mean both for both of them. Why have they not

(00:43):
met it? Well, my dad lives in the South Island
and I went down for a week in Christmas, and
you know, I've made the journey down there. My dad
won't come up here, by the way. He hates Aukland.
He's one of those South Islands. Oh he's only been
there for a year and a half, the South two
years and the South Island. He just never liked Aukland
from the get go. But that's the thing is, you know,

it's not Devin who's nervous. It's my dad. My dad's
a bit like a like a big kid. And I
was on the phone with him yesterday and I was saying, oh,
you know, it's pretty soon, It's pretty soon. He goes, yeah,
I'm gonna have to go and buy some new clothes
because you know, my dad's a trade, is a painter
by trade. And so he's like, oh, I've got no

I've got no good clothes. And I go, oh, where
are you going to go? The warehouse? And he's like, well, yeah, yeah,
yeah that's that's that's where you get all my good stuff.
And I'm like, oh yeah. He goes, oh, actually i've
been to k out recently. While here we go that
that's flash for my dad.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
You should choose him an outfit, like just like choose
it online.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know, but he's a
really hard it'd be fun. You could style your dad.
I could do that. I could do that. So what
are the plans I need to be there? Done that?
Are you guys going to watch again? I mean, it's
the whole it's a whole weekend, right, It's a whole
long weekend in christ Church. And yeah, it's gonna be

(02:09):
fine because oh sorry, Devens trading. So as my dad,
They're literally gonna just they're gonna get along perfectly fine.
I'll start talking about like.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
You out actually, friend of mine, she likes to say
to her son, I like your partner better than you
and I would if you break up, I'm taking her,
not you.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Wow. I love that that way. I love it. I
love parents like that. I mean, there are some parents
that I like that. My my mate and his partner
they broke up ages ago, but him and the and
his ex partner's dad are still They're still playing golf together.
And anyway, that's not gonna happen. You're just gonna get
on great.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
And and does has your dad like the idea of
your partner, like when of you talk about Yeah, he's
not a judges aid a day to day.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
When it comes to me, yeah years, Oh okay, yeah
he is. If he doesn't like him, he will tell
me later on after that weekend. Would you tell given? No,
he's not confrontational, but he would tell me, so it
will be interesting to see what he says. I know
it's going to be completely fine, though, but yeah, where
are you staying? Like you're staying together yeah, in an Airbnb.

(03:24):
Thank god. Yeah, yeah, very very great someone. And I
just really really could to say what Charlie said before.
I've always been the girlfriend where the moms are like,
oh no, I was sad to see who go. You know,
they still follow me on social media, still message me,
you know, They're just they're really really happy for me.

(03:46):
And I knew it. I knew it. I'm like, yeah,
and what I was the best thing that ever happened
to your son? Okay, And that's all I have to say.
Relationships and many parents.
