Speaker 1 (00:01):
The Flavor Podcast Network. You're listening to Stacis Zura and
Charlie's Off the Record Your record. Welcome to Off the
Record with Stace and Zera this morning, where we talked
about things that didn't go on the show, so we're
putting them here. And I want to talk about my partner, Devon,
(00:21):
because he really pissed me off last night. Oh, really
pissed me off.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
She's only been back a couple of nights. What do
you do?
Speaker 1 (00:27):
It's actually been bliss up until he got back from
boxing training. Now you have a husband that does fight
training for fitness. You know, jiu jitsu is an incredible sport,
and yeah, it's used in the UFC elements of it.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Oh no, don't you worry. He'll tell me every us
UFC fight. Oh, you know, took him down with the
such and such. You know, he knows the moves. It's
like because there's always ends up.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Being like when, okay, like when did I ask? Anyway?
So yeah, I got really angry at my partner because
he got back from boxing and he's got a fight
coming up to be fe I'm really proud of him.
A tenth of August, you know, he's we matched up
with someone I haven't been here for the majority of him,
you know, training for this fight. So this was one
(01:12):
of the first nights he's come home and not been tired,
but it's the opposite. He's been full of adrenaline, and
he just really started to grind my gears because he's
he wasn't listening. He was talking over me, which is
not like him, and like shadow boxing around the kitchen,
and the shadow boxing. As I'm trying to talk him
through just like you know, dinner and talk about asking
him questions about his fight as well, he starts shadow
boxing and he's shadowed boxing at me, and it just
(01:34):
really really pissed me off because he accidentally, as I
was taking sit from a water bottle, trying to ignore
the fact he's shadow boxing in my face, he hit
the bottle into my face, only slightly, and he apologized
straight away, but of course I stormed out and said,
you're done, like this is actually this is enough for me,
And I explained to him it's not okay, like, don't
(01:57):
leave that stuff at the gym. You know, you're adrenaline
and being high. I get it, you've gotta fight coming up,
but on your partner, like, schell it out. We don't
need to be running around the house.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
So my brother went through that phase as well. But
just the thing is as well is that your family
will just take the piss out of you because we do.
We go we said, why are you standing there? Oh
you wasted that shadow? All their ear is so dead.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
And I'm trying to be supportive, but yeah, I mean,
you've got a husband that goes to the gym every day.
He doesn't he doesn't do But that's what I'm saying
is he's obviously exactly he doesn't bring that that fight,
that fight, that that that dog with him home. If
he's gone and he's grappled someone and he's lost or
he's won, it's like it stays there. Yeah, that energy still.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah, the chat's fine. But yeah, honestly because my brother,
like every once in a while he'll still do it.
But he went for a real phase and we were
just kind of like at the time, it's like, Okay,
he's really excited about doing his fighting. It's given him
focus that that's good, but why tell me why has
to do it like that? Basically be a little video
game when there's no opponent, I.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Know to be free. Their coach does tell you to
share a box as much as possible, and it doesn't
really bother me. I've had a boxing foight before, you know,
not as intense as what he's going to do. But
the crescendo to all of this was the fact that
I explained him this and he just went okay and
walked out. Are you not going to say sorry?
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Goes?
Speaker 1 (03:27):
I said sorry before yet, but not really. So of
course we go to bed grumpy, I roll over and
go to sleep, or we we've left it. It's going
to carry on in't it?
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Roid Rage? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yeah, Royd Rage. Devin apologized properly and calmly or else.
