Speaker 1 (00:01):
The Flavor Podcast Network. You're listening to Staci, Zarah and
Charlie's Off the Record, your record.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Welcome to Off the Record with Stac's, Zarah and Charlie.
We bring things here they didn't and shouldn't go on air.
So I want to talk to you guys about audio
books because you know, I read through audio books, which,
by the way, accounts I've done full book series time
and time and time again. I get it. My eyes
aren't darting across a page or a kindle, but I'm

(00:34):
still I'm up to date with stray as. Ok, guys.
So my flatmate she sens, okay, well people that read,
they don't count in it. And I'm like whatever. But
you know, my flatmate, my new flip mat, she reads
and she loves reading. And we were talking about a
book series that we've both read, me through audiobook, and

(00:55):
I said to her, yeah, audiobooks are pretty crazy. They're
pretty crazy because you know, they will say every word
in the book, well sort a book is this It's
just it's just a fantasy book, like it is a
fantasy theory wine because I heard about this, Yeah, yeah,
it's fantasy theory. And they get actually pretty pretty down
with it. Like it's like someone described to me as

(01:17):
very porn. Let me tell you, no, let me tell
you. You got me a theory porn here it talk to me.
The thing is what you don't realize book girlies girl there,
but they're freaky girls. So no this, trust me. There
is a series I read about hockey players that was
that was crazy each but all fiction, which means it's

(01:38):
make believe. But it doesn't really matter this this book
actually doesn't really have a lot of you know, nor
as says, but I think every good book needs naughty scenes.
But let me tell you, when you are listening listening
to a naughty scene, it's a whole different experience. So
I told her listen to this, which is a part

(01:59):
of the book which she would have read. But obviously
you hearing it, it feels very real.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
To my very bones. Maybe I'll haul you between the
stacks and see how quiet you can be. Hmmm. Just
slipped through the pages, not seeing any of the text.
His hand began a lethal taunting exploration up my thigh,
his fingers grazing along the sensitive inside hi higher. He

(02:31):
leaned in to drag a book toward himself, but whispered
in my ear, or maybe I'll spread you out on
this desk and lick you until you scream.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
But this is what This is the third book in
the series. I've listened to the other two. So it's
weird because you get so used to listening to audiobooks.
Here I'm out here making my dinner in front of
my friend makes just like and I'm gonna spread you
on the table and I'm gonna take it. I'm gonna
lick you. Don't playing, And that is what I'm listening
to when I'm driving, when I'm cooking, when I'm cleaning,
And it does feel very wrong, but there is, you know,

(03:08):
a sort of weird thrill and the fact that you're like,
this is so wrong wrong.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
And also I'm imagining that lady and she's in that
audio recording.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
You do become in you do become a part of
the book as well with your reading all listenings. So
it is what you don't realize. A lot of people
don't realize. There's a lot of people that read books.
Most book series, especially fiction, they will have you know,
Saucy Bets sixteenes telling you starting to get into reading
all of a sudden.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Do they still have audiobooks of fifty sheets?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yeah, okay, there is this is what I mean, Like
I am downloading that. Like I said, the hockey one
I listened to that was just I don't know what
you're doing about with hockey, but I just know that
you remember something park cooling park because you know what
I mean?

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Like, so you know, maybe porn for some that's done now,
like you know, so this might be the new thing,
you know, like listening to somebody talk to you about.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Why would you say it's all done?

Speaker 1 (04:09):
They passed?

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Yeah, they passed their face like you know what, there's boring.
I want somebody to talk to me in my ear?

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Well people do people do? Oh wow? People do you know,
do make jokes online that they've got, you know, the
the real life boyfriend and then their boyfriend that there
they've got in the book like they you know, okay, yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Imagine how many people get off on their day? Yeah,
za being one, so now you know cooking.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Thanks for listening to Stay a Zora and Charlie's Off
the Record. Catch them live every weekday from six a m.

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
