Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has travelled to Florida to begin talks with President Trump about a peace plan.
This is the first visit to Trump's Mar-a-Lago by Zelenskyy, and the talks aim to narrow the issues on the US sponsored peace plan.
US Correspondent Richard Arnold told Andrew Dickens that while Zelenskyy has been negotiating peace, Putin has been launching drones against civilian targets over Christmas.
'Putin stepped up the Russian attacks through the holiday period, with at least 1810 drones fired.'

any real interest in peacemaking? Is the point. Russia has
been making slow but consistent advances in Ukraine as this

Now it's a war in which as many as two
hundred and fifty thousand Russians have been killed, while the
Ukrainian military has lost up to one hundred thousand troops.
Tens of thousands of Ukrainians civilians also have been killed.
Leading up to Zelensky's Florida summit with Trump, Russia has
launched dozens of drones into Ukraine. In the last few hours,
some thirty drones for shot down while eighteen drones hit

mostly civilian targets. Putin stepped up the Russian attacks through
the holiday period, with at least eighteen hundred and ten
drones fired. So Zelenski says, this attack is again Russia
sansen on on our piece efforts and it's really show
that which it doesn't want peers well. Putin has not

directly repudiated the US peace effort, but has shown no
sign of serious negotiations. Zelenski was speaking after discussions with
Canada per Mike Karney en route tomorrow Lago. After their
direct talks. Coming up, Trump and Zelenski will hold a
call with European leaders who have been I guess far
more openly supportive of Ukraine than the Trump team of Lake.

Trump is saying things are seemingly going well, but we've
been saying that for a long time and it's a
difficult one. In the latest peace effort, Kiva is seeking
security guarantees following any end to the Russian invasion. Zelenski
saying there are two major sticking points between Kiev and Washington.
These are the fate of the Donbas region and eastern

Ukraine and control of the Russian occupied nuclear power plant
on Ukrainian soil as less. He's saying now he's willing
to pull Ukrainian troops back from areas of the don
Bus still under Kiev's control and to turn those areas
into a demilitarized zone as long as Russia also withdraws.
Still again, no sign of any Russian dealing here, while

Trump is facing some internal descent, with Republican Mike Turner,
former House Intelligence boss, saying a short time ago.

We can't be America first and be pro Russia.

So which side is Trump on? I guess time will.

Tell, all right, mean, other conservatives are started to get
a little bit scared of AI job losses.

I think both sides of the both sides of the
Congress here. New survey shows as well that YouTube, which
has become a go to for so many TV watchers lately,
is drowning what they call AI slop. They surveyed fifteen
thousand of the most popular YouTube channels and found it
more than twenty percent video shown to new YouTube users
are AI. The AI channels are drawing tens of millions

of views as they farm out opinions wherever they support,
whatever issue. This side of the industry certainly is expanding
rapidly on the political front. As you mentioned, some Republicans
are calling for a more active regulation. The Conservative Heritage
Foundation says big tech is not a quote natural ally unquote.
Florida's governor, Republican governor the Santas, has blasted federal efforts

to limit state laws on AI, while pro Democratic Independent
Senator Bernie Sanders says, listen to tech leaders.

This is what Eli Musk, putting hundreds of billions dollars
into the technology, says, quote AI and robots will replace
all jobs. Working will be optional end Quote Bill gates
hundreds of billions of dollars into this technology.

Quote humans won't be needed for most things. Well, I
got a simple question. Are no jobs and humans won't
be needed for most things? How do people get an
income to feed their families, to get healthcare, or to
pay the right?

Yeah, it looks like it's going to be a bigger
and bigger issue in twenty six.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yes, it's a completely different great replacement theory. You could argue.
Now a lot of kafuffle over the renaming of the
Kennedy Center to be the Trump Kennedy Center, and a
lot of that kerfuffle comes from the Kennedys themselves, the family,
and there is a threat to sue the person who
led it through.

Yeah, that's the latest. You know. The Art Center in Washington,
d C. The biggest center, now has this new name,
and they are threatening to sue a jazz musician who
canceled his holiday performance over the name change. The center
now is run by a board chosen by Trump and
has sent a scathing letter to Jasmine Chuck Read over
his cancelation, calling it a political stump. Well, that's just
(04:58):
part of the controversy. Stems say, any name change requires
congressional approval, which was not sought, so they're going to court.
Some other artists are boycotting the ants. A Hamilton, the
successful musical withdrew their show. Musician Rhianna rhian Engald Giddons
moved her show to another site in the town, and
there are many more instances of this. Meantime. Trump boasted
(05:20):
that when he hosted the Kennedy Senator honestly other day,
as the first president to do so, it would have
huge ratings. Well, no, there was a thirty five percent ratings.

The Burden
