Where the hell is this guy? You know what bo
we mean bick and back being bulled. That's how we
doos it. And along my travels I have come across Timpervice.
He has just left a plum radio gig and he's
come straight into the arms of flavor to look back
on the last couple of years. He's got his fingers

(00:35):
and a whole bunch of pie. Speaking of he is
the Bakery Runs guy. We talk about that animal co
hosting the show I have.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
How did this happen?

Speaker 2 (00:46):
I don't know how you managed to make your way
into this building.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
I was just walking past us getting a coffee and
I was like, hey, Mass, I'm unemployed.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
I need to come on.

Speaker 2 (00:57):

then he wasn't, and then he was on another mic,
and now he's on this mic.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
I'm the most important, Yes, of course, So how you doing.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
I'm good man, I'm good. I'm not optimistic. I'm ready
to go. I'm feeling good.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Yeah, just in the office before you're having a chat
with someone and they're asking you, how's this new chapter?

Speaker 4 (01:17):
How is this new chapter?

Speaker 5 (01:18):
To be honest, I don't even know. I'm still like
on page one of the chapter. But I'm optimistic about
what's happening. And I'm just just happy to take opportunities
and come and hang out with people like you.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Matt.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
No, I'll tell you what. I've been listening to you
since high school.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Live straight up, which is crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Before I even thought of radio as a possible career.
I think I watched your interview with I want to
say Zora Actually, Wow, that was a man that was
and that was a nice interview and that it was
a goodie.

Speaker 5 (01:52):
Yeah, I've been I found the love of interviewing over
like covid.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Is it kind of buzzy to be on Flavor right now?

Speaker 5 (02:01):
Well, I tell you what though, the very first time
I was ever had a thought about being on the radio,
was there Flavor?

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Wow? Yeah? I was here with Thina.

Speaker 5 (02:10):
Actually we did a skit here no Way, and I
think I was like, Yo, can you just come in
and just hang out. And I was like yeah, cool,
and then she's like yeah, jump on and I was
like oh okay. And then she was the very first
person that was like, yo, you need to do this.
You're actually not too bad. And I was like okay, Yeah,
it's a long time history. And then yeah, now I've
been and now I'm just you know, jumping around here
and there. But no, I've always loved flavor. Yeah, because

(02:34):
it's the music. This is the music that I grew up.
Who you played Cyprecol the other day in essential missage
like damn you help me in the fields there?

Speaker 2 (02:41):
I know I'm playing cyprescoil and radio except for us Son.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
If I could have, I would have Cypriscol. And it
wasn't like just the jumper. It wasn't like Cypressol like
and CENTD in the brain. It was like one, yeah, damn,
we ain't going up like that. That's what it was.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
And I was like, Mas, you got me?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, Sam, you are the bakery runs guy. So I
reckon how tall we review some bakeries? What are our
favorite bakers? Let's refer more fae.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
What do you reckon?

Speaker 5 (03:11):
So you know what I think we're gonna do this,
and the text is gonna blow up and then I'm
gonna be like, they're gonna be.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Like, why would you say that?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
I feel like, because I don't know any good bakery.
So how about you start us off to because I'm
gonna say my bakers and you're probably gonna like chuckle
and disgust.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Okay, I know you're from Mangony. Yes, what do you say?
Margoty has good? Oh you start, you start? Okay, the best?

Speaker 5 (03:35):
Okay, I would have to go with Ashby's Bakery and
g I slash boom, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Saint Elliot's. Yeah, I'm like shut out to the bar
Desert Amazing Pie. He does pies. I went there.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
We we did a pop up there and then it
was just like, what was it a white bake? We
made a white bay for the prize that was like
twenty five dollars. But before you get on the text
and stuff flaming me for that, it was like it
wasn't like you had to buy one. It was like,
you know, it's there for your offer. And we had
other things as well. Okay, but yeah, I'll go with
there's this pies. Okay, there's this pies. I am gonna

(04:14):
say when Will Bakery.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Okay, that's all right.

Speaker 5 (04:16):

a lot of people say.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
I'm going to say it. I'm going to say you
say this one.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
When Will not for their pies when We'll Bakery tends
to have some jelly ass pies and I don't like
a jelly ass pie. I will say though, that they
are iconic for their mudcake.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
The mud ca is.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Oh my gosh, I'm gonna go have to go Central.
I'm going to go with Kingsland. I'm going to go
with the Baker's Cottage. Yes, the Baker's Cottas. Shout out
to Yvonne that runs that.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Okay, if you want me to come through.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
Man, she is amazing. But just everything is good there.
There's nothing, And I mean, if you're going there, my
go to is the lemon meringue pie. Wow, I'm a
fan of that.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
But in terms of their like pies, they've got like
every one of their pie has like a potato top option. Yes,
so you have like a meatball and potato top, or
a steak and cheese and a potato.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Top, Like you think I had a pork belly potatoes,
Oh my gosh, and the butter chicken filo.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Yes that too.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
All right, don't go and say it. Hurry up you.
I don't know if it's the one that you're thinking of. Okay,
maybe it's not. Is it a Hong Kong Yeah, you
gotta say that. Oh man, if you say that, hey,

Like there's some things that he says that I think
about but I don't say. And that made me just
kind of Yeah. Now we're we talk pretty much daily
about just mindset and things like that. It's important to
have somebody like that. You have talked to so many people,
But who are the standards and standouts in terms of
like how like funny or impressionable.

your with John Campbell. That was that was very like
for me. That was a turning point for me because
I was like, yeah, I'm just doing this to muck
around and yeah I can ask cool questions.

went and then.

Like I mean, I follow, I went over for his
He does seem scary.

Israel is So I've never met a celebrity on his
status that is so nice to everybody, like he doesn't.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
I don't want to say he doesn't need to.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
But I've seen him, you know, with take time out
for little kids, for older people. He takes Yeah, And
I don't think I don't think he gets enough credit
for that.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
