Good afternoon. I'm railing Ramsey. This is your afternoon news
fixed for Thursday, the thirteenth of June. The Prime Minister
is about to sit down with Chinese Premier Li Chiang,
the highest ranking Chinese official to visit New Zealand in
seven years. Premierly arrived in Wellington this morning and was
later warmly welcomed to Government House by Chris Luxon. Senior

Luxon's highlighted China's importance as New Zealand's leading trade partner
and signaled his confidence trade between the countries can keep building,
but broader regional security challenges are also bound to come up,

Five people have been arrested following the armed robbery of
a Michael Hill jeweler's in West Auckland. The robbery took

search warrants across Auckland. More than one hundred people have

and another is on the run after an incident at

It's part of an ongoing investigation into firearms offences in
r Fetu Peninsula. The man was shot by an armed
officer after he allegedly attempted to ram into officers with
a vehicle. News Talk said best Thomas Rice says three
others were detained and the fifth person escaped. Another person
fled into nearby bush.

Both the police Eagle helicopter and dog units weren't able
to find them.

Scam is re emerging with cold call swindlers claiming to
be police officers. Police. At least two elderly Aucklanders have
been conned out of tens of thousands of dollars. The
caller gives a fake ID or badge number to make
the call seem legitimate. I believe there's a problem with
the New Zealand electricity business model, not just the new

disclosure rules. Gent tailors, companies that both generate and sell electricity,
are required to disclose the price they use internally to
sell power to their retail arms. But NZIER research found
the new disclosure rules don't provide enough information to show
if companies are artificially inflating prices. Consumer group ENZ compares.

Mark Gale says the market wasn't as designed to be
dominated by a few large gent tailors. The model is
pretty much part of the problem. I mean there was
a OECD report out last month that flag.
