this update, emergency services are responding to an incident unfolding
at Waikutto's Spring Hill Prison Fire. An emergency was called
just before three twenty this afternoon to a building on
fire at the facility. Four fire trucks, two water tankers,
one ladder truck and a command unit are now at

the scene. Police, ambulance and Corrections have all been approached
for comment. They flew in. They met, then flew out
after agreeing no deal that would bring an end to
the war in Ukraine. US President Donald Trump and Russias
Vladimir Putin talked for almost three hours in Alaska to
discuss ending the war. President Trump says they've made good
progress and will be passing on the details to NATO,

Ukrainian President Voladimir Zelenski and other appropriate parties. At the
end of the media conference, President Putin proposed a different
location for their next meeting. Thank you very much, Vladimir.

see it possibly happening. New Zealanders could be unknowingly investing

in weapons through their kiwisaver providers. Research by charity Mindful
Money shows kiwisaver investment in global weapons companies has surged
by nearly forty one percent on last year. The investment
through Kiwisaver and retail funds in weapons companies supplying the
conflict in Gaza totaled nearly seventy two million dollars. Mindful

Money CEO Barry Coates says very few people are aware
of this. Mister Coates says many people likely won't be
happy with their money being used by weapons companies in
situations where civilians are suffering. The Maritime Union says the
decision to cancel the Inter Island A ferry project has
created massive anxiety for workers. The entire cost of the

canceled project is six hundred and seventy one million dollars.
Union National Secretary Carl Finlay says it seems like rail
Minister Winston Peters's has been able to make the most
of a bad situation, which has been really tough for
ferry workers. Mister Finlay says a long history of mechanical
