fixer for Friday, the eighteenth of July. Health New Zealands
Commissioner's term is halfway over, but a new report shows
there's more work to do to get the public health
agency's finances on track. Political reporter Azariah Howell has the details.

The latest delivery plan maps out ways to get back
to budget and deliver government health targets. Costs are down
and programs not improving. Frontline services have been axed. Health
New Zealand's aiming to shrink the deficit to two hundred
million dollars next July and break even the following June.
The report specifies the agency needs to find every opportunity

for cost savings.

China's ambassadors says his country is ready to take our
relationship to the next level. Ambassador Wang Jao Long has

A new school Property Agency will take over from the
Ministry of Education to oversee the billions of dollars of assets.
Stanford says the government's on track to meet demands.

A small lift in euthanasia deaths. The Ministry of Health
released its annual report on their assisted dying service, launched
in twenty twenty one. Claudia O'Neill reports.

More than one thousand applications were active in the twelve
months to April, up twenty percent on the previous year.
Over that year, four hundred and seventy two people received
an assisted death, and one hundred and twenty five applicants
were still being assessed or waiting. Those remaining weren't progressed
because the applicant was ineligible, withdrew or died during the process.

Amazon's online streaming service Prime Video will run ads from
August twenty six, except for subscribers who pay an extra
