Good afternoon. I'm raileing Ramsey. This is your afternoon news
fix for Wednesday, the nineteenth of February. Good news for
mortgage holders, with the Reserve Bank signaling more cuts to
the official cash rate and sooner than previously expected. All
major banks immediately drop their advertised rates after the bank
slash the cash rate fifty basis points to three point

seventy five percent today. More cuts are now expected in
the next two reviews in April and late May. The
Central Banks predicting the ocr will reach three point one
percent by December. That's drastically down from its earlier forecast
of three point six. The Bank says it expects New
Zealand's economy to keep gradually recovering. Prime Minister Chris Luxon

says it's a sign the government's plan is working.

asking for Aucklanders to reelect him to finish the job.
He's confirmed he'll run for the top job again. Jordan
