this update, strong winds are moving north across the country,

of study on Westland pastoral seabirds is helping scientists understand
how natural threats affect bird species. The native petrels breed
only in the South Island. Petrels are known to be tough,
but their population was one of many harmed in cyclones

ten years ago. Department of Conservation biodiversity project lead Kate
Simister says they've watched how the Westland petrels rebounded with
such a good long term data seat before things that
are changing so much an Amerine environment, they're an excellent
case study to look at those changes and look for
