Good afternoon. I'm railing Ramsay. This is your afternoon news
fix for Monday, the twenty eighth of July. Confidence businesses
have time to adjust to a new ban on payment
card surcharges planned from May. It follows the Communist Commission
reducing bank business interchange fees for Visa and MasterCard payments.

Minister in Charge Scott Simpson says that commission decision will
reduce costs for businesses. I think it will mean some
change for some businesses, particularly small businesses, but that's why
we're giving a big long lead into it. The government's
confident construction health and safety reforms will save money and time,

and Safety Minister Brook van Valden is asking if people
have been over compliant with scaffolding not always necessary for safety.
She says they're not staying with the status quo and
need a middle ground between always using scaffolding and not

the cost saving, but I can guarantee you it will

obligated to curb greenhouse gas emissions and those who don't

Many parts of the country are switching from sunshine to
showers this week. Met Services issued orange heavy rain warnings
for Nelson, Tasman, Northwest, Marlborough and Westland from early tomorrow.
Strong wind and rain are also expected across the North
Island starting after ten hen Tonight. Forecaster Heather Keats says
the rain is the biggest concern.

One hundred and eighty millimeters of rain expected for Tasman
from Watsueca west and up to one hundred and thirty
milimeters for the rest of Tasman, Nelson City District and
Molro west of Havelock and north of the Wido River.
