Good afternoon. I'm Malcolm Jordan and this is your midday
news fix for Wednesday, the seventeenth of July. Inflation is
continuing to fall. Later stats n Z figures show the
consumer price index rose three point three percent in the
year to June. He is Business reporter Michael Siegal.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Today's rate is down from four percent in the year
to March this year, and well down from seven point
three percent annually to June twenty twenty two. Economists Head
forecast inflation would land on three point three to three
point five percent. Brizoo Bank needs to see inflation back
within the target range of one to three percent and
wants to see a sufficient drop in non tradable inflation.

And that all important non tradable rate was five point
four percent, down from five point eight percent in March.
Labour leader Chris Hopkins says David Seymour is undervaluing titility's
role in improving health equity. The Associate Health Minister yesterday
outlined his expectations for FARMAC, including no longer record aquiring

treaty considerations to be a priority. Seemore claims it could
be a distraction, but Hipkins says we know that Maldy
face inequitable and unfair access to medical treatment. He told
