news fix for Monday, the twenty first of July. Inflation
is on the rise again later as stats n Z
figures show the consumer's price index rose two point seven
percent in the year to June. He is Business reporter

Inflation has fallen from seven point three percent three years
ago to just two point two percent last year, but
has been on the rise since. Economists were expecting today's
figure to land somewhere between two point six and two
point nine percent. The rates expected to rise even higher
this quarter before again easing later this year.

The Prime Minister says the government's open to profound changes
to NCEEA are damning. Reports highlighted major problems with ncea's credibility,
with some schools already withdrawing from Level one. An announcement
on the future of NCEEA is expected to be made
this year. Christopher Luckxen says there's nothing more important than
ensuring Kiwi kids are well educated.

four year old man's been arrested and will appear in
the Auckland District Court today. He's charged with unlawful possession
of a firearm and ammunition and failing to comply with

license conditions. A man hunt's continuing in Hamilton after yesterday
morning's fatal street fight in the central city. At least
say four people were injured in an altercation near the
city's main entertainment precinct ours after the sold out All

Unfortunately some people were stabbed. Infrastructure New Zealand says consistency
is vital to getting what we need built. The government's
announced six billion dollars of work that will be started
by the end of the year. Chief Executive Nick Leggett
says stopping and starting projects makes them cost more. He
says a lot of talent has been lost.
