This is Newsfax. In this update, a man hunt is
underway after a jailed asylum seeker has been accidentally released
in the UK. Hadush Gibberslasi Kibatu was sentenced earlier this
year after he sexually assaulted a teenage girl and a woman.
An epping Sky News Rob Powell says it's understood Kabatu

was being transformed to immigration enforcement as he was due
to be deported.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
What seems to have happened is before that transferred took place,
before he was handed over to the immigration team the
Home Office team, he was mistakenly let out.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
It's understood Kabbatu who boarded a train to London after
he was accidentally released. The Ministry of Health is asking
travelers to get vaccinated before they go overseas as measles
cases rise here. There's two further cases in Taranaki and Wellington,
bringing the total number to eight. Health ENZ is aware
of one person who boarded a Crook's with measles, which

resulted in four others becoming unwell. Ministry of Health a
Director of Public Health Karina Gray, says there are active
outbreaks in countries including Australia, Canada, the United States and India.
Auckland Museum will be holding special events this weekend to
celebrate much of its reopening. Most of the museum is

back in action after being closed for five months due
to asbestos. The Marii Court and Pacific Galleries are still
out of action for urgent repairs. Chief Executive David Reeves
says there's lots on over.

The long weekend, a range of free tours, The virtual
reality experience of the Kimleys will be free, and we've
got a range of other activities and community groups coming
into the performances on the lake.

A new Auckland to Corimandel ferry has launched just in
time for summer. Explore Groups started a new service traveling
between Auckland's Viaduct and the Coromandel's Hannaford Wharf. The trip
through the eastern Hardarchy Gulf takes just two hours. Explore
Group Managing Director William Goodfellow says the service has been
wanted for a long time.

We've committed to the long term and we've got such
great support from the locals but also interest from people
in Auckland wanting to do weekend trips away and ultimately
into the more international markets to open up the Cormella Peninsula.

That's news in sport. Otago coach Mark Brown is adamant
to win in this afternoon's NPC final against Canterbury would
only drum up pride for him. Brown co coached the
Red and Blacks in twenty twenty and twenty twenty one
