morning news figs for Friday, first of November. In this update,
the death toll from flash flooding in Spain is expected
to rise as rescuers start looking for bodies. Communities in
Valencia on the eastern coast of the country have been
the hardest hit. The latest reported figure is one hundred

and fifty eight deaths. Europe correspondent Vincent McAvennie told Ryan
Bridge hundreds more are still missing.

A shot in the arm for trade between New Zealand
and major Middle Eastern countries thanks to a just signed
deal with the Golf Cooperation Council. The free trade agreement's
been in the works for eighteen years and was finally
signed in Doha last night. Trade Minister Todd McLay says
the deal will significantly boost the current annual tree three
billion dollars worth of trade between New Zealand and the

Council countries, which include Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates
and cutter as well as making it easier to do business.
McClay says the agreement also includes a first of its
kind convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination

by an Otargo student to support the Life Matter. Suicide
Prevention Trust believes say approving a license would be inappropriate

Defense Forces recruitment is falling short despite higher targets. Year
on year numbers released under an Official Information request to
reveal new NZDF personnel numbers have declined by about one
hundred over the past five years. Overall, recruitment targets have
increased by four hundred since twenty twenty. The Defense Force

says the overall decline in military recruitment is being experienced globally.
A lack of training around autopilot has been a big
finding from an interim report into the utter Teddy ferry
grounding in June. The Transport Accident Investigation Commission has found
the crew wasn't trained on the recently installed system and
