morning news fix for Wednesday, twenty second of October and
this update, homes have been evacuated as fire cruise battle
multiple blazers around kai Korda and Southern Hawks Bay in
kai Korda District, State Highway one is closed and homes
have been destroyed. Thousands of homes in central regions have

spent the night without power, and flooding has been affecting
the Lewis Pass and several other South Island roads bent surfaces.
Another system of severe weather is on its way, and
