Good morning. In this update, the search continues for a
prisoner who escaped correction staff at Hamilton's Wycota Hospital yesterday
afternoon while wearing handcuffs and a GPS monitor. He was
on remand from spring Hill Corrections facility north of the
city and escaped at around half past one. Lachlan Rennie

Spring Hill general manager Scott Walker says they've launched an
immediate review into how the escape happened. Police are asking
for Hamilton locals to be in touch if they see
anything suspicious near the waycot to Hospital.

Blissa remaining confident in their road patrolling methods as New
Zealand enters another holiday road toll period. The official Christmas
and New Year road toll begins today and runs until
the fifth of January. Last year's death toll reached twenty one,
