Speaker 1 (00:06):
You're listening to the All Sport Breakfast podcast with Darcy
Waldgrave from News Talk SEDB.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Wait, let's get now to Harry Plumber on the bench
out of the Blues taking on the fascinating side that
is Mowana pussy Fica. Good morning to.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
You, Harry. Yeah, and I'm good and great to hear
from you as well. What a day.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
You tell me at the start of the year that
Moana Pussyfica were going to sell out a game in Albany.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
I would have laughed at you, but oh wow, this
is going to be huge against Moana, And yeah.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
I mean, I'll probably disagree with you. I think I've
been building something in the last couple of years, an
awesome fan base and you know, making Obany their home,
and I think it's you know, it's a pretty cool,
speakable and we're lucky enough to plan it. So yeah,
it's ecliding. Have to keep that as an excitement under reps.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
But yeah, well, but do you keep them under reps
or do you just accelerate with them?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Go, I'm excited, let's just run with it, as opposed to,
you know, keeping yourself calm. A lot of athletes do
both things.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Right.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Oh, I think there's a Yeah, there's there's time for both.
And I suppose today it's all about you know, getting
the right prepression and being able to fly kick off.
So yeah, there's no doubt that there's been a big
edge in both camps, I'm sure across the week. And
reality is this is a pretty big grudge mention both

(01:26):
of our season, So you know, there's no lack of
motivation for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
I love your honesty. Also, like the way you disagree
with me, you have not many athletes do that. They
kind of like turn it around a wee bit, they
go wow and just like no, I doesn't agree with you, and.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
That more of this please, Harry. So you didn't spend
a great deal of time on the park last week
in what was a ferocious win from you guys, What
did you pick up out of that exchange from the bench.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
Yeah, I mean a bit of a different roper this year.
But we've got some boys that have played some pretty
unbelievable for you my positions, and you know, it's nice
to try and do what I can to I guess
help them out the best way possible and whatever opportunity
I get, you put my hand up and try and
fulfill my job to the best best I can. But listen,
last week was it was a good step for us

(02:11):
as a group, and it was a pretty tough sort
of it's always tough go right, but you know, boys
start to a pretty resilient game plan and for the
foards really muscled up and took the game by the
scruff of the neck. And you know there's some individual
brilliant in the fact as he usually always is without
back client, so by no means a complete performance. But

(02:33):
I suppose you know, you can expect the same sort
of ferocity coming from the opponents with Milana as well
athletes to beak boys that you know has some pretty
solid collisions and you know, a fear everywhere else. So yeah,
confident from last week, but we know the WNA, you know,
will be confident as well.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
People would say it's the baby brother, But you can't
treat them all that, can you not?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Anymore?

Speaker 4 (02:59):
No, of course you can, And I think you're only
up if you trued it like that. Minus, you know,
we've with an over the last couple of years building
and more so this year. And you know, some of
the giants that I've taken down and play really exciting,
solid footing and obviously with their coaches, we you know,
we've had a bit to do with their coaches in
our environment, and they're great coaches and they know how

(03:21):
to win games and they know how to form game
plans with the players they've got, and I think the
one is roster is you know, an exciting group of
group of players that are really well to here. So
you know, we're gonna have to be on our a
game today and we've had a good bit week, so.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
No doubt we will be tough start to the season
for the Blues.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
But you guys are starting to get it together, reverting
back to what you were good at with the power
up the front. But I suppose timing wise starting to
peak now in the season. Maybe you'd say you'd rather
do it slightly really because you're still scraping for a
spot in the playoffs, but your timing appears to be
just about right, Harry.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Yeah, I mean I don't know if it was planned,
but yeah, I suppose what it does give you when
you have a slow start is that you're forced to win,
and you're forced to, you know, take each week as
a as basically a playoff game. So that's a situation
we found ourselves in the last couple of weeks, and
I suppose in a weird way it's probably quite quite

(04:24):
good for the preparation because you're solely focused on just
their game. And this week's been no different. And you know,
it's a big bush for us. We're by no means,
you know, safe for any posts sort of around Robin Foodies.
So and we'll do the same, you know, weeks going
forward instead of intros.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
What did Stern learn Stern Van want you to learn
this week?

Speaker 4 (04:48):
The players? Yeah, I suppose that's been really good at
keeping it simple. You know, it's encouraging from Fiji that,
like you said, we started to get a bit about
our game that works back with us, and I think
boys are starting to really stick your hands up, you know,
and play our style of footage that were good at.
So I suppose there was more of that in making

(05:12):
sure that we're just staying on. We've been sort of
encaraently that all week. With the last two weeks really
with two teams that are like gim Wana where anything
goes and you know, they've got so much clear and
so much tell them and unpredictability. I guess that you
that you just can't knock off for a minute. So yeah,
that's that's probably the majority of what he's been talking about.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
A lot of these games, you can pick the big
confrontation point, but in this it's.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Impossible all over the park. But I look to the
return of Caleb Clark and you think, well, there is
going to be an area where we should see something
quite fantastic. He'd be amped to get on the park again.
How has he been in the build up.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Yeah, I'm excited for him. He's he's obviously had a
pretty strange but that legally injury for him, and it's
been awesome to see him pick. You know, the last
couple weeks gettifers is running and whatnot. And you know,
I suppose this week seen Catle Clark for whatever it
knows it is, you know, unbelievable in the air, his agility,

(06:12):
his power and his speeders, you know, his looks. He
never left, so I know he'll be able to get
back out there, and you know, especially in the game
such as US with those backgrounds. So I'm excited for him.
But you know, he's he a company by some pretty
pretty good talent around him as well. And I think
paul Ford's has been been pretty impressive, you know, and

(06:35):
his place while he's been waiting, so they have someone
on the bench behind him as you know, as pretty
cool as I.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Here's a good chat too, absolutely just like yourself. Always
great to catch up, Harry. Thanks very much for your
time get amongst.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Command, Darsie. Appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Yeah, appreciate you as well. Thanks for disagreeing me.
