Speaker 2 (00:23):
This week on The Big League Podcast, Warriors head of
marketing Glenn Harris joins to dish details on the trip
to Las Vegas next year. How did it come about?
What do the Warriors get out of it? What is
the best way to sort your trip to Sin City
and year's worth of regret? New Zealand Herald writer Alex
Powell is back to analyze the fallout of an ego
(00:44):
crushing loss to the Raiders. Is the season over? My
name is Nathan Limb. Let's go b LB. All right,
it's time. We're all well rehearsed, calculators at the ready.
Not yet, hold your fire. The Warriors need to win
all six remaining games in order to keep their destiny
(01:06):
in their own hands. Otherwise they're relying on other results
to go their way. Yes, we're into the mathematicals. Oh
dear twenty to eighteen against the Raiders in Canberra, three
missed conversions. We all saw it. Chanelle Harris DaVita, It's okay,
It's okay. Every person in the world has had a
(01:30):
bad day at work and made stupid mistakes. Chanell's copping
a lot of cramp. He's more pissed off than anyone.
If he was the regular kicker and had been consistently
doing that for weeks, it's a different story. But the
reality is he wasn't even supposed to be kicking off
the team. No Johnson, no two Opeaky, no Pompey. Chanelle
(01:52):
Harris Deavita has been performing really well at five eight
and he will remain there, just as he will, in
all likelihood continue kicking if Pompey's out there is no
one else. Alex Powell, New Zealand Herald writer, am I
being too soft? Yes?
Speaker 3 (02:08):
And no?
Speaker 4 (02:09):
Thank you for having me nith. I don't think there's
too many games in the NRAL where the team that
scores more tries will lose, But that is what happened.
We all saw Shanell Harris to bea in the sheds afterwards.
He'll be feeling this more than anyone, like you said,
But the response from Andrew Webster was that they'll get
around him. He didn't mention him by name, but we
know that's just how they operate as a club. Like
you say, he'll continue at five eighth. He'll likely kick
(02:31):
this week against the Tigers, and I would back him
to come good.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
I mean, look, at the end of the day, there
was no excuse for missing at that level right in
front of the post. But you could just see, I
suppose in the way he approached that kick that would
have sent the match to golden point as not as
the Warriors definitely would have won if he had got it.
But you could see in the way he approached that
kick he was slightly stand off as he was just
trying to toe it over and he just messed it up.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
I think you would have seen with that the way
that game started, Pompey would have been the first choice goalkicker.
To a pick, he would have been the second. Remember
that one he got against the Panthers to win it
earlier this year, Chanelle Harris. It probably didn't even warm up.
You know, gold kicking's not just something you turn up
on the day and just do you do. Spend you know,
half an hour in the warm up just getting it right.
You know, we've seen Sean Johnson do it, We've seen
(03:19):
it in Pompy do it. And to a picky when
he has to Chanell Harris Tavita went in cold and
it showed.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
I mean you could say, would most club kickers in
the country have got that? Yeah, of course, but but
that's it's a massive start night.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
You know, we say most club kickers, most club kickers
are not the fourth choice at best, and that's what
Chanell has Tavita was.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Whirias coach Andrew ReBs Is refusing to blame Chanelle Harris
Tavita's goalkicking.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
We love to be one hundred percent on a goalkicking everywhere,
but there's plenty of other things to put it down
to not goalkicking. I mean there's lots of injuries and
lots of things going on, but to gold King and
not to find us.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Yeah, there was so much in that game to I guess,
digest and look into and it's so disappointing. Ultimately going fourteen.
Niel down early in the game was a knife in
the back. The injuries were just untied. It's been the
story of the Warriors season really and we're going to
go through all of that. We're going to hear from
Warriors head of marketing Glenn Harris in just a few moments.
(04:19):
But first here are the low lights. Were Raiders twenty
Warriors eighteen. There we go in Friday night footy in
the space.
Speaker 6 (04:28):
Here for Hudson Young, such a good triscorer and camera
capital shee ball playing this top fogony f Hudson Young.
Ha's a double and welcome back to Jamon Fogony.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
That was dazzling. They headed that way Brian Martin.
Speaker 6 (04:45):
Roger with deck two of us a ship and the
Warriors have points before the freight to marry Market and
the back of the house combined ka Well backing out
after Orison disappointment with Queensland as the Warriors right back
in the bulga roaching the outline finance short side.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
What a train work it has been.
Speaker 6 (05:08):
Mitch Bonnets at the warious level, great kick, oh Savage,
we speed gets there.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
In time, walk up for Norm Blake. He's through, Paul bubbled.
Speaker 6 (05:21):
Around, but I think he's done it and we should.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Be level again here.
Speaker 6 (05:28):
Oh he's missed its and it remains a two point.

Big League Podcast.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
It was my pleasure to Welcome on to the Big
League Podcast. Warriors General manager of marketing Glenn Harris. Glenn,
thank you so much for your time. How are you good, mate?
Speaker 3 (05:52):
Thank you well? How are you?
Speaker 2 (05:54):
I'm very well, thank you And I punted this obviously
massive news that has come out or been confirmed rather
in the last couple of weeks, the Las Vegas the
Warriors are going to open the NRL. First of all,
I suppose you would have been pretty well involved in
this initiative. How did this all come about? How did
you secure this for the Warriors?
Speaker 7 (06:15):
Look, a lot of hard work from a lot of people,
but we were pretty impressed with the inaugural event this
year and the opportunity for teams who didn't participate to.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Put up their hand for twenty twenty four cons.
Speaker 7 (06:30):
Up and we did, and we're very fortunate to secure
our places and away team at the twenty five festival.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
So yes, it's pretty exciting stuff.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
What does this actually do for you guys as a club, Like,
what are you getting out of this? What is the
point of sending the team to Las Vegas to do
this event? Do you make a lot of money out
of it? Can you talk to me about it? From
a business perspective.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Well, the first party is to win the game.
Speaker 7 (06:56):
It is a competition around fixture round one for us,
so you know that's the first and most important priority
is to come home with two points and get our
twenty five Premiership underway. In terms of the other benefits
being the only New Zealand team, it's a chance for
us to showcase.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
A little bit of New Zealand to the world.
Speaker 7 (07:16):
And it's a big size the world that we're going into,
being the Western Seaward of the States. So for us,
we've had a great couple of seasons and we're excited
about taking our brand, not just the NRL, not just
Rugular League, but certainly the one New Zealand Warriors into the.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
American market on probably the biggest stage there is in
Las Vegas. So lots of good stuff in.
Speaker 7 (07:40):
Terms of gowing awareness for the game, which is probably
in the best shape it's been for a long time,
but also to showcase our brand and country to the world.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
I want to dive into. I guess what this experience
is going to be like from a fans perspective, For example,
do you guys have any anything specific going on in
the days leading up when Kiwi fans go over, is
there you know, stuff going on in the days leading
up that people and fans can get involved with and
I guess create that sort of festival atmosphere.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (08:10):
I mean there's a lot more information to come as
we get nearer the event, but this year's event had
a really strong fan festival focus and I think a
lot of people remember the images from Freelance Street in
the Strip where the city really turned it off the NRL,
and that's supposed to be supercharged again for the twenty
twenty five events. So there will be a celebration of
(08:32):
rugby league through the city at different points and for us,
you know, we're very keen to lean into those and
do what we can to add our flavors and touches
to it. Ki We fans are great for traveling and
supporting us around the country wherever we go and we
take our show on the road in Australia, they come
out in huge numbers and support us. So this is
(08:54):
an opportunity for them to also go and see their
club break new ground in a big entertainment market.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Obviously, the fixtures are being played at the home of
the Las Vegas Writers in the NFL, and of seeing
that there is a Warriors section in this in the
crowd in the stadium, do you like take ownership of that? Like?
How does that work? What can we expect from that?
Speaker 7 (09:16):
I haven't seen the mechanics of how they will work
for this event. Tickets haven't gone on sale yet, but
if it's anything like other fixtures of this magnitude, I
guess the one that we sort of know.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Most is Magic Round. There is a supporter's bay for
all the.
Speaker 7 (09:32):
Teams, and fans have the opp chair when they buy
their tickets to buy seats in those sections and come
together as one group, united around their team. So I'd
expect Las Vegas to be reasonably similar in terms of
how that's managed.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
How many keywis do you expect to go over.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
All of them? Idearly know that have been incredible.
Speaker 7 (09:55):
We travel in great numbers when we support our team,
so I don't know what the exact numbers are, but
we travel really well. We take lots of seats, we
take lots of hotel rooms for any of our game.
So I'm really counting on the keys to get behind.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
Us and support us on this incredible opportunity.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
What was the process. I'm not sure if you'd be
aware in terms of determining who plays who. Obviously, the
Warriors are going to play the Raiders and the sort
of curtain raiser for the NRL, and the Sharks playing
the Panthers. But obviously there could have been a storyline
ignited between the Panthers and the Warriors, James Fisher Harris
playing against his old club in his first game for
the Warriors, or Adam fanul Blake playing against the Warriors
(10:37):
in his first game for the Sharks, Like, how was
it determined in terms of who plays who?
Speaker 7 (10:42):
No idea, mate, those conversations happen in the NRL. All
we're worried about is doesn't matter who we're facing. We're
going up there to bring two points home.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Obviously, you and the NRL have talked about growing the
game in the United States, where rugby league's sort of
a bit of an alien sport, really, isn't it, Like,
what is the end game with this? What do you
help hope to grow over there?
Speaker 3 (11:07):
I can't speak for the NR.
Speaker 7 (11:08):
I mean, certainly our campaign is very much time to
making sure that we leave the best impression possible.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
On the people in the environment. When we're there.
Speaker 7 (11:17):
Certainly there's a push to increase the awareness and support
of rugby league and a bunch of different places around
the world.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
This is probably the most high profile.
Speaker 7 (11:27):
So for us, it's a case of going up there,
showcasing what it means to be in the yellow team
and the greatest game, and to leave a really good
impression behind such that there's long lasted support for the
Warriors and those people that go to the game and
saw us play and had a chance to interact with us.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Are there any structures in place? Do you know? I
imagine I don't know if the coaches would handle this,
but they're all going to Sin City. Will there be
stuff in place to make sure the players don't go
two nights while they're over there?
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (11:58):
I mean, we've got a good bunch of players. They're
all responsible boys. Now a lot of them get a
little bit older and have got responsibilities.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
So no, we haven't even looked at that yet. As
I said, the first priority for us is it as
a competence.
Speaker 7 (12:10):
Around is lots of fun, excitement and activity around it,
But you.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Know, it's business time for us. We've got a job
to do when we get there.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
And just finally glean run me through it. I'm a
Warriors fan. I want to go to Las Vegas. I
want to have a great time. When will take us?
Beyond sale? How should I go about booking my flights, accommodation,
all that sort of jazz yep.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
So you can purchase all of those things now through.
Speaker 7 (12:32):
The NRL, through NURL dot com forts Left Vegas. They're
all available flights, land and ticket packages for New Zealand fans.
Not too long before we'll have our own travel packages
available for sale. So just keep an eye on our
social channels and you know there'll be something coming very
soon for them, which we hope they'll see is very
(12:53):
exciting way to get on board and support us to
Las Vegas.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Brilliant. Glenn Harris, a general manager of marketing at the Warriors,
Thank you so much for your.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Time, pleasure mate. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
This is the Big League Podcast. This is the Big
League podcast on the Warriors band wagons since day one.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Okay, Alex Powell, Let's go through this game in a
little bit more detail. Starting, I'll just touch on the
injuries because there was another major reshuffle of everyone in
the back line. It seemed tanned to a peak. He
had a head knock early on. Pompey went off with
a knee injury. Roger to e Vasischek started on the wing,
but almost immediately went to fullback. Leatawa moved from the
centers to the wing. Capell moved from the second road
(13:35):
to the centers. Hala Sema moved from Lockford or came
off the interchange rather and went to the center's instead
of his lock Ford. He's now played more time in
his two NRL games at center than he has at
lock which is unheard of, I think. But ultimately, they
started with some really really average defense, and coach Andrew
(13:55):
Webster is lamenting that start we started pulling.
Speaker 5 (13:58):
He can give us all as a chance early obviously
super proud the way we wanted to come back.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
Look like we're coming out at the top of them, and.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
Then we make a mistake and give them an opportunity
and yeah, we just yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
Lots of love.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
They just yeah, we can't start of that.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
I mean, there was a bit of a running joke
last year, wasn't it that they just did not start well,
but they would finish so strong, And this year that's
just not happened. They are starting poorly and just not
able to get themselves back into a contest. Really, they'll
play well in patches, they'll get the odd win here
or there, but you look at how many losses they've
had are actually result of what happens in the first
(14:35):
you know, twenty minutes.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
It's a pattern, yeah, and I suppose it is extra frustrating.
Given at the press conference last week, Dylan watten is
a listen talked about that. He talked about how they
go through fate. When they're all on their game and
they're playing their game, they can put it with any
team in the competition. We've seen that this year, but
they can't do it for eighty minutes. That's what's so
(14:57):
frustrating as a fans. They come out the gates and
as you said, so often in this competition, they don't
wake up for the first fifteen to twenty minutes, and
it blows the game for them because then they're having
to fight to get back in it. So they go
through these phases where everything's looking really good and then
they just switch off defensively, and some of that, I'm
sure is down to the number of times they've had
(15:18):
to reshuffle and players are playing out of position. We
talked about Shanel Harris Tavita being the fourth choice kicker,
Roger going to four, but obviously all those changes, Legahalasim
has been playing in the centers. That has to be
so disruptive, I suppose when you're trying to build momentum
over the course of a game.
Speaker 4 (15:35):
Absolutely like the number of plans that they have that
just do not or that are not allowed to come
to fruition because of things that are just outside their control.
Andrew Webster all season has just seemed frustrated, like you say,
and it's getting to the point now where the season
is on the line and they really need things to
just start falling their favor.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Having said that, when even when they were down fourteen mil,
you never really got the sense that they were out
of it, right, and especially when Arts borrowed over just
before halftime, that's exactly.
Speaker 8 (16:03):
Right, you do.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
At no point was I think you know that was
fourteen mierl inside the swim. It's that's a long time
to have to try and hold a lead against the
Warriors side that we've seen can score from anywhere. But
when it's you know, when it's happening week after week
after week. Then I think they do need to take
a step back and go, Okay, how do we fix this?
Do we have an issue with on field leadership as it?
(16:25):
You know, we need more guys off the bench who
are a bit more senior. We've seen so many you know,
of the young players have to come into these bench
rolls this year, and obviously there'll be a lot better
for it, but for now that it is a bit
of short term pain for long term gain.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
But there's no one else. How else are they going
to bring onto the interchange with more experience?
Speaker 4 (16:41):
That's exactly right. You know, the injuries this year have
been dire. When we look at it. If you say
at the moment, who are the three players the Warriors
undtfortuately just probably say Johnson's number one, Taho Harris is
number two, and then number three, you'd probably say chances
would be in and around that. So to have the
three bigger leaders out consistently is just not helping this cause.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Having said that, I think that all the players that
they did have shuffle around. I mean will talk about
much Bunett and kuk Cape well in a second, but
they were both out standing backing up from Origin Rts
played obviously really well at fullback. I thought Ali Lattar
maybe a bit quieter once he moved to the wing,
but yeah, I mean, what did you think from that
aspect and how they I guess handled the reshuffle even
(17:22):
though it obviously didn't all go according to play well.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
I mean, the annoying thing is that they're so used
to it now. You know how many times the season
we've seen these reshuffles. They've had too much experience doing that.
If you said one, you know turndro so you get
your one to thirteen for eighty minutes and that's it,
he'd bite your hand off. For For the longest time
this season, I've been in the camp of just keep
Artests at center, let him learn his game. This performance
(17:45):
against the Raiders has really changed my mind. I am
now fully in the camp that he needs to be
the fullback. We cannot haper over these cracks any longer.
There's a saying in sport you don't weaken your strength
to strengthen your weakness. I think playing Roger Tuvasishek in
the number one jersey is the Warrior's strength. Chances the
o'clock sad is adaptable. He can play just about anyone.
We've seen him play fullback. We seen playing and says
(18:05):
we've seen him play five eighth if it's a straight
swap RT for CNK one to three.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
But Charsick Cooksett isn't the problem. No, he's not the problem.
But so why are we still having this conversation.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
Because it's how do we get the best out of
Roger two of us a sheck, we put him in
his best position.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
But then you're weakening chants.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
Chance is more adaptable, though, I'd say Chances like remember
Chances o'clock said, came through the Warriors junior's playing center.
You know, he said he wanted to be an outside
back and that's why he left because he couldn't get
in the ahead of Roger in the first place. But
also with do Ken mar Milo and David FOSSi tour
and went to the Raiders and became an NRA leading
fallback and then came back to the Warriors once Arties
went to Rugby. And then it was, you know, almost
(18:46):
to the point of hilarity that Roger said, I'm coming back,
and Chance made it very clear, no, this is my
Jersey now, but I think he might need to be
a bit selfless here and say the best thing for
the team is keeping Roger two of us ask at fullback.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
I fully disagree with you, however, with two Opeakey suffering
a head knock, and you was assumed that would rule
him out of next week's game against All this week's
game against the Tigers. If chance last week he was
one to two weeks away, so he's a maybe. Obviously
the team will come out Tuesday evening. But if Chance
isn't out, then then Roger has to play full back
and you will get your wish at least for the
(19:19):
Tigers game.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
Yeah, And in saying that, I do hope Chance pulls
up for it because they Warriors are just a better
team with him in it. But I think his game,
with where he's at in his career is so much better.
Center was so much better suited to the centers than
Rogers two of Vaster Shacks.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Now, let's touch on Mitch Barnett and Kirk Capewell, who
both were involved in the most spectacular Origin game last week.
What is a cider and how good for Mitch Barnett
to win a title in his first game. I thought
he had an outstanding debut. Just coincidentally, but they both
just had outstanding performances considering they were involved in that
(19:55):
tussle just forty eight hours earlier. And this is Barnett
after the game talking about whether he was going to
back up. Didn't even cross on line or where we're
and I consider myself elier to this club. I as
the first thing I wanted to do was, you know,
I wouldn't have been where I am without the boys
in that locker room. So the first thing I could
do was front up for him. Oh, Barney, I said, so,
(20:17):
doesn't it make you just want to give him a cuddle?
Speaker 4 (20:19):
I said to you yesterday, just to have a peck
behind the curtain here. If the Waves had thirteen players
like Mitch Barnett, they'd win every game. Also, a huge
shout out to Kirk Kate Bolys Well, he played eighty
minutes yeah against the having also started Origin. I mean
that's incredible, and obviously to get his first try as
well for the Worriors, but I think that has going
to be unnoticed.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Well that's his first try. Yeah, I can't believe that
they were both Obviously they both scored tries and they
were both instrumental in that comeback cape while playing out
of position. Mitch Barnett obviously shouldering a lot of the
workload through the middle with that injury hampered team, but
a great character I suppose to fight back. If we're
taking anything positive out of that game, it would be
(20:57):
the performance of those performances of those two players and
just the again the mental resilience to stay in it
down fourteen Narl after eighteen minutes.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
You remember all that talk, you know, it's been going
for a while, like the Warriors need more Australian players.
They need more of these hard nose Australians. We've got
two of them now, yeah, you know.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
And two really good ones too.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
I mean, look, and you know we're also not you know,
guys like Dylan Walker and Wade Egan those they are
also Australian. They doesn't back it up for it, but
the recruitment here needs to have a huge amount of
praise heaped on it because the Warriors have absolutely nailed
it by getting these guys.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Big League Podcast. The Warriors play the Tigers on Friday
at a sold out Mount Smart It's sold out again.
Just two games to go, and they could. They could
be what we think is the first NURL team ever
to sell out every home game. Unbelievable. The Tigers I
did last on the ladder with four wins fourteen losses.
(21:55):
They've lost their last four in a row. Ironically, the
last team they beat was the Raiders. Alex Powell. This,
there's no way they can lose this. Surely, there is
no way we're going to be standing in next week
talking about another Warriors lost to a Tiger's team.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
They've lost twice to the Titans, they were last. I mean, no,
you're absolutely right. They should not lose to the Tigers.
The Tigers look and dessiray they've got some great players,
but they just cannot get it all together. A lot
of pressure on well, not pressure, but there is a
lot of emphasis on the job that Benji Marshall is
doing as head coach. But you'd think, and you'd hope,
for their own sake, the Warriors have too much here.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
The team This week is going to be really interesting
because if two O Peaky's out, Chans is out, Roger
has to go to fullback. But he was covering on
the wing from Montoya and we don't have a timeline
on him. If Pompey's out, then there's only Latawa at center.
How are they going to do this? How do you start?
Because I I'd rather see Maila Graham Tulfer come into
(22:54):
center alongside Ali Latah instead of sticking Kirk Capewell out there.
But then who do you put on the wing? How
are they going to deal with this?
Speaker 4 (23:03):
You'd think Ed Coursey would also come in. He's been
there in the past. That's done for he hasn't looked
great this season. His contract is also up in twenty five,
so he is free to start talking to other clubs
in November. So could actually use this run of games
as a sort of shop window to say if the
Warriors don't want me, this is what I can do
to anyone else who wants to sign him.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
Do you think he is in danger of getting booted?
Speaker 4 (23:25):
Potentially?
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Is his contract up this year twenty five twenty five, right,
so he can start talking to clubs at the end
of this year in November.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
He can say to every he once come and get me,
should he stay? Do we think he gets in the
team when everyone's fit and firing? Does he get in
the team ahead of what Tanezleznika Montoya. No, then he
should leave. You know, you cannot at this point in
your career.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Although actually there are a lot of people saying that
he should be in there head of Montoya. To be honest,
I don't think he's shown enough at least this year
to prove that he should be there ahead of Montoya. Yeah,
at this point in his career.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
At this point in his career, he needs to be
playing every week. The thing we also don't take into
account with Montoya is the off field value he brings
to the Warriors. We've seen him captain the club. He's
a senior player in that dressing room. Here is a
leader and that, like I was just saying before, the
leadership issue on the field, you need as many guys
like Monto as you can get.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
The Big League Podcast on the Warriors Bad Wagons since
day one, The Big League Podcast for the biggest league fans.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Okay, Alex Pale Quick fire Predictions. The first one again
is the Warriors and it's the Tigers at a sold
out mount Smart. Tell me you're picking the Warriors.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
I'm picking the Warriors, mate, don't worry.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Why do you think the Warriors is going to win.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
I think they'll have too much for the Tigers. I
think class will ultimately tell. I think the Tigers are
in a bit of trouble.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
I agree, I think that. I mean, the Warriors have
just got to They've got to pull it together, and
I think they will. They've got enough leadership in this
team to do it. They're going to be at home,
they're going to be a bit against opposition that's really struggling.
Get this one done and then you know, you need
to do five from five to keep your destiny in
your own hands. Storm Storm, It's not even really a question.
(25:12):
Eel was second to last on the ladder, Storm dominating.
So we're going to go with the Storm. Broncos. Bulldogs
Broncos back in the winner's circle. The Bulldog's still up
there at the top of the near the top of
the ladder.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
Bulldogs, I mean, I've been really I think I said
this last time. They've been so good this year under Camperencereldo.
I don't see them dropping away anytime soon.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
So the Bulldogs went down to the Cowboys in the
round just gone. They're still up there in sixth on
the ladder. But the Broncos with those players back. They're
down in the eleventh. They're coming off a victory over
the Night thirty to fourteen in Newcastle, which is a
tough place to win. Did you say the Bulldogs?
Speaker 4 (25:47):
I said the Bulldogs, although I've just remembered Adam Reynolds's
back now.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Actually no, you can't.
Speaker 9 (25:51):
I'm not going to, but it could be a lot closer.
I'm going for the Broncos. In Brisbane, Cowboys, Sharks, Sharks.
The Sharks had a bit of a dip in form,
didn't they. They're coming off the buy and a before
that had a fifty eight six pumping of the Tigers.
I'm going to stick with the Sharks here. Rooster Seagulls.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
I think the Rusters will bounce back after what they
how or when they went down to the Storm last week.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
I'm going to agree with you there, Roosters to bounce back. Dragons, Panthers,
you go.
Speaker 8 (26:21):
Panthers, Dolphins, Titans, Titans, Titans. Why the Dolphins just only
just lost to the Panthers twenty six, twenty eight. They've
been a middling team this year, but they're still in
the top eight. I'm going to go for the Dolphins
one a Red Cliff Raiders rabbit O's to round out
(26:41):
the round.
Speaker 4 (26:42):
Rabbit O's why I look, even though they won, I
wasn't actually that impressed with the Raiders, and you look
at the rabbit o's form since changing coach. Basically they
are two different teams and the one that just got
absolutely pummeled earlier this year.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Yeah, forty two still dropped twenty eight points to the
Tigers in the round just gone. But I will agree
with you and back the Bunnies to win to finish
the round. Thank you, Alex Power for your time your wisdom.
