I wish it was a good day because the biggest
news really is the withdrawal of Alex Dimenol from the
tournament because of this injury he sustained in his previous
match on the left hip. Could not go on. He said.
The scans have shown that he's got a tear on
the upper area of the adductor close to where it

might meet the abs, and if he does play, he
could end up being out for at least four months.
So he's had to pull out of the match against
Novak Djokovic that was on for today.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
I heard him say that he heard a crack which
was pretty scary, really, wasn't it?

Yep? Absolutely, I mean I saw it happen and you
had to see his face at that moment. It was ashen.
That's the only way I can put it. And the
way he moved after that, the last point he played
and got the match done, he looked. I mean I'm
not doing mean to be Rube. He looked like an
old man or huddled up, and he could barely walk,

and he was shaking his head to his team as
he sat courtside. When this whole incident happened, he thought
maybe tomorrow yesterday rather was a rest day for him
and he'd be able to come on court today. But
not the case at all.

So Novek faces a young Italian Lorenzo Marcetti. He beat

pulled out. I didn't play very well, So yeah, but
things have changed with Massetti's very nice to watch he's

to be the matchup. The interesting thing is it's the
first time ever at Wimbledon that an Italian man and
an Italian woman are in the semi finals in the
same year, just me and Paulini. The French Open finance
is also in the women's semis.

Ah, look, I don't know. I mean now because Sinner
was my pick from the beginning. I would love to
see Daniel Medvedev win. Even by picking when I had
picked Sinner, I would would have been very happy if
if it was Daniel Medvedev holding the trophy.

Okay, And on the women's side of things, Elena Rubukena
Rukena through to the semi She's looking like the one
to beat on the ladies, how doesn't she?
