Friday night at the Fortress of Faith at mounts Maart
eight o'clock kickoff against the West Tigers. Joining us on
the show this morning Warrior's hooker Freddie Last. Good morning,
Freddy having me, oh, absolute pleasure mate.

On the way to training nice and early.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Yeah, I to train this morning so early. But it's
it's all good.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
All right, So let's go back.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
I hate to rub it in and the heartbreaking loss
last week took us through the feeling in the camp.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Yeah, obviously there's a big travel down the camera and
we'll up to the game. But yeah, obviously this didn't
go our way and yeah, sort of going to flash
it now and move on to this week. And you
know we're going to sold that Mount Smart so boys
are right up for it and.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
We're going to be performance back to back losses by
sort of a point or two in the past few weeks.
Are you guys able to pinpoint what doesn't really go
your way in those type ones?

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Yeah, yes and no. I guess every game is going
to be tight, but obviously you want to win them all.
But yeah, we've just lost the last two games by
not much so yeah, just two tweeks care there and
hopefully we can get this week's.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Game over the line on a well positive note.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Back home this weekend against bottom placed West Tigers. How
big is it that the next two games are at home,
especially in the wind now mode with the team found
themselves and you need to keep winning these games?

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Isn't important? Now?

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Yeah, it's huge for us. I think we love playing
its fart. I think we get a lot from the
crowd playing at home, and yeah, the boys are really
looking forward to it, So you haven't really need to
go out this weekend and a really good performance them.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
The injury list for the Warriors this season, I mean,
it's it's next level, really, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Have you have you ever been in the side with
so many injuries?

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Yeah, there's quite a few injuries. But saying that we
can't Titan news that has an excuse for sort are
going to use the next man up mentality and get
on with the job. But yeah, it's obviously not not ideal,
but insane hoped to get on each week and have
Payson who's coming in to fill the spot.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Have you come through the season pretty well unscathed.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Touch Yeah, I'm nice and eltie at the moment, which
is good.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
So I hopefully I can stand up and your game, Freddy,
are you liking how you're progressing this year?

Speaker 4 (03:07):
I had a bit of a slow start to the season,
I think with suspension and had a head knock there earlier.
But yeah, it's sort of hard to find some rhythm
early on in the years. But as the year's gone on,
sides of strengths and games together, which has been good
for me. So it's been a goal of saga and
I'm playing which I've started to first. I'm happy with

that and I'm just to keep building on each game
and bringing energy to the team.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
And the news out this morning, I think Roger.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Two of us a check back at fallback as well,
so that'll be good news for the team.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Yeah, I guess it's handy to have Vigina town. I
guess anyboy players is going to be really good for us.
So yeah, it's exciting having him at.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Full that and some news out this morning to it.
I don't know whether you caught up with it. The
Warriors fans will be able to fly non stop direct
of Vegas next year. Su bought the team in New
Zealand's come up with a special one off charter flights
which will be really really cool. So that's exciting for
the boys playing in Vegas next season, isn't it.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Yeah that's good to hear. I've spoken too much about
Vegas obviously, We've got so much coming on now we
want to focus on the now. But yeah, that's exciting
to hear.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Yeah, fantastic. We'll go well in training and go well
