Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Country Sport Breakfast with Brian Kelly on gold Sport.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Everywhere you go, everywhere the weather three minutes past eight
o'clock joining us out of the met Service, Lewis Ferrison.
I guess there's a weather man, Lewis. You'll be watching
with interest and probably you know, some alarm the Hurricane

(00:27):
Milton in the Florida region being awful, hasn't it.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
I mean they've just had a run of bad luck.
I don't know what else there is to say, Like,
these things are big events and people will have to
deal with them. But yeah, it's it's bad luck to
see such extreme weather so close to another extreme weather event.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yeah, absolutely, all right, let's talk about New Zealand weather
for the weekend. I noticed two big highs, one to
the west and one to the east. But it looks
a bit rough down south for the weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Yeah, I mean, it's a bit of a messy little
situation moving through the weekend. There's just some bands and
moisture that get thrown over the country. It's not looking
like many places will see too much adverse weather, but
it does look like on Sunday there's a week trough
that's moving up the country and then a low pure
system develops on that trough and the models we're having

(01:20):
a bit of difficulty picking exactly where that's going to
turn out, but it does look like rain is pretty
likely for a good portion of the upper two thirds
of the country on a Sunday, So it could be
centered around Wellington, but it could be a little bit
further north. People might just need to keep an eye
on that forecast and they're not looking awful, but it
could be like a day of rain for some places.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
What's it looking like for Wellington tonight? Because you've got
the court of first of the quarter finals for n
PC looking perfect.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
We've just got a bit of a northerly wind, but
nothing too out of the ordinary for around Wellington, and
it does look like it's kind of dying off of
the head further into the evening.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Second quarter final the weekend is in toel Wrong and
they have plenty of taking on Bay. Whether looks okay
I think for that game, doesn't it?

Speaker 1 (02:03):
It does, Yeah, there's a way wis Lee wind, but
you know that might not end up actually being too
much in the way so totally that would typically lead
to nice fair skys.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Nice that's good to hear. Taranaki are playing White Gatto
out of New Plymouth on Saturday night. How's that looking
out there on the west coast?

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Well does the wey southwest wind. But again that's actually
looking as though there will be some showers around, but
I reckon giving having a look at it does look
like they'll probably miss around New Promise, so it could
be drive out the game. They're just that little bit
of wind around.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Now you mentioned that Sunday could be a little bit, Harry,
Blenham is the venue for the Tasman Canterbury last of
the quarterfinals. What's it like there in Blenham?

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Typically you could think Blenna would be the dryer out
of these lots, but it does actually look like it's
probably the one most likely to see some rain on
that Sunday afternoon. But like I was saying, it's a
little bit uncertainty about where exactly that rain it's going
to turn up. But I think if you're packing today
for the game on Sunday, I would definitely be taking
a range jacket.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Now, looking at some of the weather pictures coming out
of Australia for Bathurst this weekend, what's it going to do.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
There actually looking pretty good throughout the weekend. There does
look like there might just be a few little showers around,
but there's a pretty good chance that those will be
hit or miss, so it could actually just stay dry
throughout across the whole course.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Is the weather going to warm up in our country
next week?

Speaker 1 (03:26):
No, Actually, it looks like we're going to see another
bit of cool air being pushed up from the south,
So yeah, we're not seeing those nice springtime highs coming
up anytime soon, although saying that there's a few tweet
degrees being flagged up for eastern parts of the North
and the south Land on Saturday, but it looks like
heading into Sunday there is coldier coming up again from

(03:48):
the south. But I was looking at us with her outlook.
We're not flagging any sort of potential severe weather over
the next week while, but it does look like there's
still some unsettled hanging.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Out for warm weather, that's for sure. Lewis, thanks for
joining us, matey easy chest Lewis Ferris joining us out
of the midst of us in Wellington here on on
