Speaker 1 (00:00):
We're talking international rugby now on the show where the
Black Ferns continue their WXV one tournament Monday morning, nine
o'clock New Zealand time, live here on gold Sport. We'll
have a commentary of the match when the Black Ferns
take on England. Joining us on the show this morning
out of the Black Ferns is winger Mededangie Paul Morning
Metatangie Mornay you and the team. Are you enjoying Canada

(00:23):
so far?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Yeah? Canada has been really good because we've loved it
here so far and where it's seen treating us well.
So yeah, all good.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Right, Well let's go back to the match against Ireland
first up last Monday, going down twenty nine to twenty seven.
What didn't click in that test minute, Agie?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Yeah, we spoke together as a team the other day
and yeah we spoke about a couple of things, just
you know, execution, finishing off, finishing off that last past
of our attacking plays, and then just we spoke about
our breakdown and just needing to get strong rock for
our nine to play and give us top quality ball.

(01:07):
So yeah, just a couple of things.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Do you think perhaps you went into that game, taking
them a bit a bit lightly.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Now, I wouldn't say lightly. I think the girls whooll
had that, you know the mentality of treating it like
just a normal test match. But yeah, obviously Iland brought
it to us that night and we just couldn't combat that.
So yeah, that was a tough one for us to take.
But we can't dwell on that too much as we
look forward to playing England this Sunday.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
How tough was it watching the video review after the match?

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah, no, it was pretty tough, but I mean it
has to be done. You know, some honest conversations we
had in there. So yeah it was good. But like
I said, yeah, we've got a flush that game now
and look forward to playing England.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
So Metadanie would have been the key work on at
training this week.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Yeah, So we had was field training this morning and
we just went over just our yeah, our attack maps
and sous you got our players properly and then just
breakdown work securing roughs and yah, knowing where to play
and which area of the field properly of.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Course looking at the job at hand. On Monday morning,
England arch Rivals played them a couple of weeks ago,
and you lost. What did you get out of that
twenty four to twelve loss.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yeah, well I wasn't actually I didn't actually lay in
that game. But the girls put up, you know, a
good fight against England, and yeah, we looked forward to
this another test smash against them on Sunday. Yeah, they're
going to be quite physical as expected, but yeah, the
girls are up for the challenge, so looking forward to it.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
And you personally met Arangi. You were once a professional
netball player for the Northern Mystics. What made you make
the switch to rugby.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Yeah, I sort of gave up money for days a
while ago now and then I was still playing touch bodies,
so yeah, my little sister plays rugby sevens and my
friends sort of just said why not give rugby a go?
So yeah, I jumped into firsteen done in the Bay
of Plenty and then yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
What's the fans support been like in Canada for the
w x V one tournament?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
It surprisingly, it's actually pretty good. We had a few
Kiwis in the crowd there on Sunday, so it was
good to have them there. And then some of them, yeah,
some of the girls had they're finner in the crowd
as well. So yeah, the support was pretty good.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
I wish you all the very very best. On Monday
morning with England, we'll have a commentary live here on Goldsport.
Go well, Minna DANGI cool.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Thank you Brian,

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
