Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Coast Breakfast Bonus Podcast with Tony Jason Sam.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Hi, thanks for listening to our Breakfast Bonus podcast. Today,
we're talking regrets. I've had a few, but then again.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Too few.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Two men and they've done a big study throughout the
States and they've broken it down to age groups about
what age groups regret what.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
So we don't have too few to mention. We're going
to mention them today.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
We're going to mention some of this. But you might
not regret them. They might be that few. You don't
even regret these things that other people regret. Okay, they
broke it down in the generations. They found that the
younger generation, especially about forty percent of the fuel the
regret not speaking up at one time or another, not
speaking up something's going on. You should stepped in and
spoken up.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Yeah, I've probably have that regret where I've gone I
let them get away with it.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah, that was mad.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
I should have should have set them on the air.
I think we all do that a little bit so respect.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Yeah. I like that. That's one of my regrets. There
were times in my life I should have spoken up
and I didn't.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
And I think that happens on the daily in people's
lives where they should you know, tell someone that they
are being on reasonable, call them out, yeah, exactly in
a mean way. And if that person is respectful and
not a rude person, they will respond favorably. And if
they don't, there something wrong with them, tell.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Us about that. I heard. That's great. If you're in
a meeting and everyone's talking and someone says something really
smarty or really smart to you, try and be literally
in the meeting so sorry to get that. We'll say
that again. And if they do the balls enough to
do it, Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
If you said to me right now, Tony, I disagree
with that, I'd go, Okay, Jason, let's talk through it. Yeah,
I wouldn't. I wouldn't flip out at you. I'd be like, wow,
I've hit a nerve and I would respect that. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I think I think the three of us do that,
don't We rash people often don't yet throw their toys
and start.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
I'm not one to not say something. I say too much.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
No, I disagree with that.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
I don't reckon.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Well, we're in meetings all the time and I look
at you waiting for you to speak, and you go,
you go quiet, like I'll love to say before the meetings.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
It's based on where and I'm going to hold my
job or not go and say it?

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Say it.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
I'm like one day so we told us there, No,
I wouldn't you agree with that? I said, just looking
out the wind, not visiting family and friends enough. That's
a regret I have to it can be pain. Yeah,
but I don't do that enough.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Now, well, yeah, these regrets. But then there's also where
when in the day do you do it? Yeah, that's
but then people say, you'll prioritize things that are important,
So yeah, do that.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
And when you're on your death bed, no one ever
kind of talks about their achievements or the trophies they
want all they know. All they want is more time
with the people they love.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
That's right. Yeah, yeah, so I think that's true. If
there's nothing out today, do that, pick up the phone.
I need to do that. Tick someone tix sticks and
made in my name.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
I just don't think we actually call people enough. In general.
We just rely on text and that's not good connection.
You're not connecting, you're connecting with You're connecting with a machine.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
In the sixty year old age group, not pursuing dreams
is the biggest regret.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
I think we're all guilty of that. Just do it.
How many business opportunity as if you got sitting.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
There, mate, you're you're the worst case.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Eximptly, I'm actioning one of mine. Yeah currently, I just
haven't told you about it. I just your plate set,
your plate set. Oh yeah, I'd love some home wears,
some decent plates.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
They don't the Tony Street home wears non scretching celebration kit.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yeahh Now, I just need to find some time to
plan the business. Maybe we should just quit our jobs
and plan our business.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Also a lot of people were missing out on an
average one of three chances. One of three people regret
not going on a trip of a lifetime. You had
a chance to do it, you could have done it,
but did it.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
I reckon travel. You never regret it.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I agree, especially when you get later in life and
you are older or whatever. Maybe you're you're sauna even
aches and pains. You can't carry your bags around that
you used to. You can't sit on a plane for
as long as you used to.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
I've had regrets with purchasers. Never travel like I regretted
the year fry and now I have regret that I
sold it to Jay. So is there a single trip
you regret going on? Because they always like teach you something,
even if it was hard, even.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
If it was a sting place and I was like overrated.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
But now you know, I went to Sydney once and
it was the coldest a few days on record, and
Mum ended up going to hospital and it was such
a drama. But I still don't regret it because it's
a memory.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Yeah, what about that time that you're in Canada and
you've got the squirts.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
I don't regret that. There were great times around not
being able to sit at Christmas dinner because I was
in BAMF hospital. I remember. I remember I was like,
I was so happy for you being over there.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
I set your ball of champagne too.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
That was so nice of you. I had that. I
got that there was before I never heard anything I wass.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Speaking of doing something nice like that. People regret not
spending money or trying something they were really wanting to do,
like spending the money they thought they should have, Like
I regret not buying something. I've got one of those.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
I think I regret spending money that's my problem.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
I regret not spending money.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Yeah, same, I'm the same as Chase on this.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
When I started my illustrious television career, I get sent
to a range of different places you and at each
place I endeavored to buy a piece of artwork, and
then life takes over and you don't have any spear money.
But imagine if I had have got like that piece
in New York and that plate.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
The louver right now my house. Would you know? I'd
be broke?

Speaker 4 (05:15):
But imagine that I'd have a gallery and I'd.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Look classy instead. How you think scumbags? Orange cout and
mustard of sissory?

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Definitely a post is on your agree?

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Can I just say quickly shop hands? We just went
to New York and we had very limited time to
actually shop. But do you regret not buying more? I do.
I wish i'd bought more. The presence I got were
real cool.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
I would have really liked to have brought a big
piece of art.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
You would have been easy to take around alive. It was.
They're good.
