Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Coast Breakfast Bonus Podcast with Tony Jason Sam.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Thanks for listening to our Breakfast Bonus podcast today. This
is crazy science. They reckon within eight years this is
going to be a thing. So there's a do by
scientist aiming to make available the concept of transplanting our
heads onto a donor body. So you think about that,
You're okay, but you know you suffer some horrorfor injury
even know the body.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Actually, that would be good. I was thinking of it
in the vain variety.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
I don't think it's just about changing your body.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Well as people like literally cut their tibia in half
to extend their legs.

Speaker 5 (00:33):
Then who knows what they were going to want.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
To smashing the legs to make them longer.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Now, so there's like if you maybe suffering from cancer
or some sort of paralysis, you can change your body.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
So like it really opens up some options, you know,
like if your body is disposable, you just could put
a new one on. Then like psoriasis is no more,
you know, drink your fill?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
What about what about me with my autoimmune and in
my brain or my body that's in your.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Body, wasn't it? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Tricky one there keep it.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
I'm thinking I could have another child, could change your
body and have.

Speaker 5 (01:04):
A poor child.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
True, it would be a hell of a thing to
go through those be like, well, I'm gonna get rid
of the chee strews. They chop your head off, put
it on another body, and you're still going to.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
Risky.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
It would be risky. But eight years to the king,
with the eight years, we can do this.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
And would it be like would it be like a
donor body or do you get to churts, because like,
if it's like a donor body, you could be like, ah,
that's disappoint.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
He doesn't have the autoimmune.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
It doesn't have the autoimmune. But you've really gone backwards here.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
Severing the spine bit too.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Well, there's a lot to be honest, it's a lot
of worried about because people younger and younger. You're this
old head, keep going younger and younger body.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
And so I just don't think in eight years they're
going to be able to do this, because if they
if this happens in eight years, that means we can
literally make people walk again.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yes, that's what they're saying. They're already they're already taching
your patient's heat onto brain died bodies, so the goal
of preserving consciousness, memories, and cognitibility. Already testing this.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Meagine if you got an older one. I meagine if
you're like looking forward to seeing what this new body
is like, oh I'm used to said yeah there.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
And if it goes to this point, you know, people
are going to start using it for vanity reasons, right,
They're going to start going, well, I want a body
that's way better than mine, so people want to work out.
Just get the Sam Wallas.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
How how do I improve on this?

Speaker 5 (02:22):
You know what, images are a little short.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
I could do have a bigger Willy too.
