Speaker 1 (00:00):
Big news out of eminems this morning. For the first
time in years. There's a new flavour coming in December.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Oh do we know what it is? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:04):
I do? Are you ready for this? It's very American
peanut butter and jelly. We call it peanut butter and
jem new favor.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Interesting, yea, yeah, we were calling peanut butter and jelly,
but respect It sounds the last time.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
When we were on Big Spender and we went to
the eminem store.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Now it's all over.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Can you basically like toppled the whole Eminem stand. We're
trying to get over the ropes.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
Do not enter.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
You got the final which is the main thing.

Speaker 4 (00:30):
Anyway, Should we move on?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Please?

Speaker 3 (00:31):
I think McConaughey well worth all follow I just threw
them slot of gold top right corner on a social
media each week that's worth a watch. By the way,
each week he also inspires us to do our journals.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
All right, all right, all right, yes, indeed you are
the author of your story of your journal. In this journal,
you will get to know yourself better. And who better
to get to know?

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Right? I'll kick it off today, dear journal. The pressure
has been clear on one Tony Street two daughters in
Matilda and Juliet playing the lead role. Not at school production.
This is the big one, a professional show with a
paying audience. The first show in front of the media
was this week. You could see the relief on Tony's
eyes when it all went off without a hitch. Tony's husband,
pick Up said one of the songs his oldest sort

(01:18):
of sang, brought him to tears. What a moment, and
rightly so, these are the moments for our kids mean
more than our very own moments, which is why I
have purchased my tickets with my wife and son and
can't wait to go and share my friend of many
years of their most magical moments with their kids. Now
I know Jason wouldn't miss this for the world. I
mean he missed her performed last year at the Art
of the Center. So Jason, what night are you going on.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Trying to get tickets to the as well?

Speaker 4 (01:46):
I'm across this. Don't you worry.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
You've supported this from day well, dog, you taickets from
take Master cold.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
It's a battle.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
It has been thank you Tony years. Yes, and what
do my kids? What do my kids do for you?

Speaker 2 (01:59):
The girls they gave my girls a mug each with
dream and shine on it.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
It was very sweet, handritten I want to be there,
you know. I want to be there.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
I feel you'll be there.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, I got it.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Two weeks and shows. If you're not there and we
no longer friend, you know, well forget high journal. This
week is mental health a wainness week, not that same
would know it. One of the best things to do
for our minds is to really drill down on the
things we're grateful for and even in the darkest days
and move ahead than me included. If I really look,

(02:34):
I can find those things. And I made it a
daily habit. And the more I'm grateful for, the more
I find things to be grateful for. Like today, I
got to spring in my step because daylight saving starts
this weekend and so did the school holidays, which for
me means no more three thirty alarm clock and more
family time. Plans so far include Matilda clearly, also a
few road trips with the kids, a couple of birthday
and anniversary celebrations, m seeing a function out of town,

(02:55):
which means staying at a hotel and having the room
all to myself. So if you ever be listening to
podcasts on iHeartRadio and listening to the words like Dad,
I'm hungry, Dad, I'm bored. Mom said to come and
ask you for blah blah blah. So I know we'll
be outnumbered by a small humans armed with endless energy
and a love for chaos. But here's the holiday adventures,
filled with snack negotiations, chauffeuring, refereeing long showers to escape

(03:16):
the mayhem, but ultimately huge smiles on my face because
I'll actually be loving it all most of the time.
So if you're dealing with the school holidays, I wish
you luck and a strong cup of coffee, maybe even
copy Luac which is the one that the animal pops out.
Oh yeah, that plays coffee we heard earlier. Yeah, and
maybe just maybe something stronger. So yeah, that's that's my week.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Oh Dount James, Dear journal. Isn't life a funny thing?
You can be on a high one minute and deeply
sad the next. Take the week I've just had. On
Tuesday night, I watched my two daughters live out their
theater dreams, starring in the first show of Matilda the Musical.
I was bursting with pride excitement and nerves. It was
a huge moment for our family and one that I
will cherish forever. A day later, I was driving to

(03:56):
Tipuki to support my good friend who's sixty six year
old dad died suddenly in his sleep last week. His wife, children,
grandchildren and friends are all devastated. He was a much
loved and respected man who has left a large community
in mourning. I came home to Auckland from Tapookey to
my parents, both also in their sixties, and felt so lucky,

(04:17):
lucky that they're still here, lucky that they can share
this special week for our family. And I was reminded
that we have to do all the things that make
us happy in life. Whatever that looks like for you,
just do it. Make the life you want, enjoy every
precious second. Don't settle for anything other than the best
version you can imagine for yourself and for those around you,
because now is the time to do it.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Amen, So so true.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
What a way to finish and not just giving Jason
digging the ribs at not getting out of sometimes.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Through variety of the show.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
I appreciate Sam, love you back touch about journals. Hope
you've had a really good week and whatever ams across
the weekend is even better. Thanks so much for listening
