We're going to do that. I'm going to have something
in New Zealand every single time till the end of
the year. And if I don't call me out audience, okay,
I love yeah, same same. I had a big record
collection and clean out the other week. I've got over
a thousand records of New Zealand band so I never
can out. Yeah, it's crazy. Some I can probably get
rid of the Actually I could go this weekend to
al Trow's biggest annual record Fear. He's an ad this

(01:06):
is thinking this for free. It's now even bigger Sunday. First,
the June King's Birthday weekend. That's this weekend ten to four.
Get into brew Town. Old mate Phil will be running
around saying, come and have a beer at this great bar.
There's some great bars out there. So go to the record.

t shirts, records, everything. I love those sort of things.
The biggest record fair in New Zealand, Brewtown this weekend. There,
that's one thousand dollars for free for those guys berating myself.
I had a great week. I've had a great week.
I went to the analog at the National Library. Listened

(01:43):
to a guy. It was like going to a book club.
Listen to a guy called Jeff Stahle. I talked about
it last week and we sat around and we listened
to a New Zealand record and we all scratched our
chins and we enjoyed it, and I felt like I
was at a book club, but it was for music
lovers and well done. National Library. That was really good fun.
I went to that last week. Shout out. I'm giving
a few thank you shout out to the team at
audio Culture, who are the noisy library of New Zealand,

(02:06):
the digit archives of everything great about New Zealand music
and culture, and a big thanks. There's a woman called
Renee from audio Culture and she sends me links to
great stuff that she thinks our listeners will like. She's
always sending tips, articles, band alerts, all sorts of stuff.
Audio Culture is the treasure trove of New Zealand music
history and culture. And like a bigandvert, isn't it?

Speaker 4 (02:26):

Speaker 3 (02:28):
All right? What else have we got? Giggle? This one's

the town, New Zealand, population three point eight million. And
if you're digging deep in your pockets and you find
two dollars fifty, you could buy yourself a big Mac.
And this lady, let's hit it. Big Runger makes history
with the first ever number one album by a Kiley
female artist. And if you're yelling at your radio and
saying no, it was Erlich, Margaret Erlich, No, she got

(03:35):

get the official chart action. We have had eighty four
number one singles since nineteen seventy five New Zealand singles.
We have had one hundred and forty number one New

just recently. And six sixty hold the most Top forty
singles twenty eight and the most weeks on the Top forty.
They've had over six hundred weeks in the top forty

all right. Who else? Golden Horse h's number one with Riverhead.
It was the slowest ever climb into number one for
the album fifty five weeks and two thousand and four
was one of New Zealand's most successful years of New
Zealand music. We had twenty eight weeks of local number ones.

(05:34):
Here's one of them. A D's featuring Aranda Ardanda Radna.
