The network could see hundreds of carparks go in the next 10 years.
Wellington City Councillor Iona Pannett has defended the plan on Wellington Mornings.
She told Nick Mills 'cyclists are not safe at the moment so the plan means we can meet health, climate and economic goals'.
Asked if businesses voices would be listened to on the matter Pannett said the council has 'consulted to death on the project'
