This phone interview was conducted in January 2009. Ms. Estefan was generous in her answers and as I listened back, I could hear her smiling when responding about family, her Mother and her fans. In 2008-2009, Gloria Estefan toured the world in support of her full-length album, "90 Millas (90 Miles)", a reference to the ninety miles between her birthplace of Cuba and the shores of Florida.
