It's Week Two in Hawaii where we've been ordered to Stay at Home, Work at Home. Most folks know what is Essential Services, which businesses are open or will reopen soon. The Coronavirus COVID-19 cases continue to test positive in our islands... A little different from previous weeks: we each keep working, sewing face mask and washing our hands with soap and water for twenty seconds; stories about people sharing their TP "stash", making monetary donations to food service delivery for elderly and other marginalized sections of our community. From where I stand right now, I'm grateful for the optimism! In the world, people are finding a rhythm to what their doing and I reached out with an old friend and former radio co-worker Monty aka DJ Static. He lived in Honolulu, Hawaii in the 1970's through late 1990's and occasionally flies back to visit from the West Coast. Now with shelter-in place orders in effect there as well, I wanted to hear what might be different as we are all (Hawaii) Social Distancing! Join me on this podcast as I navigate the murky waters of human behavior, current events, and personal anecdotes through in-depth interviews with incredible people—all served with a generous helping of sarcasm and satire. After years as a forensic and clinical psychologist, I offer a unique interview style and a low tolerance for bullshit, quickly steering conversations toward depth and darkness. I honor the seriousness while also appreciating wit. I’m your guide through the twisted labyrinth of the human psyche, armed with dark humor and biting wit.
