(00:00):
I want to welcome into the program, as we do every week at this
time, my brother from a differentmother, mister Doug Giles on the hotline.
You can find all things Doug Gilesat Doug Giles dot org. Doug
Giles dot org. Doug, goodmorning to you, sir. How are
you kicking? Ask Jimmy, howyou big doing well? I'm doing good,
crazy and wild times that we livein. We had a I think

(00:21):
a hostage situation on Saturday last week. Joe Biden ends up with the COVID,
the booger cooti virus, goes intohiding No one season. We're looking
for a sign of life. Canhe still fog a mirror? And then
he suddenly mysteriously signs a resignation letter, and then he tweets out that he's
going to support Kamala, and Kamalajumps up there and cackles and says,

(00:42):
yeah, she's ready to be thepresident. Other than that, not much
to talk about. Yeah, andwhat like a week or ten days prior
to that melee, this lone gunmanwho plays dungeons and dragons and has no
social media record. He was thebullet intended for Trump's noggin right through his

(01:03):
ears. So this is indeed cracknight in the Farret Hut. And you
know who loves you, know wholoves it me. I love this kind
of stuff, all of us,all your listeners, listen, guys,
you were born into this. Thisis historic. Make the right decisions.
I saw meme a moment ago,and it's actually kind of true, and

(01:23):
I meant to be funny. Itsays we were literally millimeters or an inch
away from two people being on theNovember ballot that no one voted for in
a presidential primary. That's why Isaid that the deep state has to be
eliminated. We already got Kamala hasnever received a vote in a Democrat primary
in an entire life. And exceptfor the grace of God and Divide intervention,

(01:47):
we would have had a Republican onthe ballot that also had never received
a primary vote. Probably, Sowe live in historic times and we have
to be vigilant and pay attention what'shappening. But Doug, you and I
talked, and this is oftentimes timeto pray as well. We got to
keep vigilant prayer. Yeah, andit's not a day for now. I
lay me down to sleep type prayers. I'm talking, We've got to pray

(02:09):
dirty, hairy type prayers, makemy day type prayers. And lo and
behold, Jimmy, can you imaginethat I have a book called Psalms of
War prayers that literally kick ass,and that this is this is more important
than a voice processor is to BritneySpears, that you and I start praying
in pregatory psalms against the powers ofdarkness. This is spiritual wickedness on steroids

(02:37):
that we're facing right now. Andso for churches and pastors and your little
worship leaders, for them to actlike, you know, this is business
as usual, Well, they're noteven a squirrel turt it's not. It's
an evil day. And Paul exhortedthe pastor in Ephesus, I believe is
Timothy to help the congregation that hewas overseen to stand in an evil day.

(03:02):
So what does that look like?Does it mean that we keep talking
about how God wants us rich andhow God wants us to have a wife
that looks like Heidi Klum and hasthe heart of Mother Teresa, Or is
the time for us to put onthe weapons and armor that God has given
us in Ephesians chapter six and kickmaximum ass against demonic forces. The voice

(03:25):
of Doug Giles. Doug, you'reabsolutely right. You know what. Sometimes
I think it's perspective, and Iwould guess hopefully a lot of folks out
of this audience understand the language wespeak here. But the Bible is very
clear. And I know sometimes peopleget mad at Joe or Kamala or the
Orange Man or whatever, but theBible is very clear. The first of
all, God causes kingdoms, putskings and kingdoms in place, but it

(03:49):
also says we're not wrestling against fleshand blood and political parties. It's a
spiritual battle powers and principalities. AndI think we got to keep that in
perspective that you can shake your handat the at the nightly news, but
there's something spiritual out there that you'reprobably better address it there. Yes,
And if your pastor, if you'rea worship leader, if your church,

(04:10):
if your sermon set is not addressingthis demonic onslaught, you're in a stupid
church. You've got a daft pastor. You need to leave that place and
go to a congregation that takes thisstuff seriously, because it's just like we
said in our opener, this ishistoric and for the church to be asleep
in the light, for church tobe on the sidelines, for the church,

(04:30):
it's like, I'm not gonna talkabout this because it's divisive. Yeah,
it's divisive, and I'm sorry,but that's what goes down when you're
in the throes of a spiritual battle. And speaking of divisive, Jesus said,
I'll set sons and fathers and daughtersand mothers and members of your own
household will be your worst enemies.I didn't come to bring peace. I

(04:51):
came to bring a sword. Andthat sword is a sort of truth according
to Ephesians chapter six. So whilethe church is plain nice, and I'm
not saying we're supposed to be ugly, always reach out in love, always
show mercy, always show grace. But when you're looking at clear cut bs,
when you're seeing, you know, the hijacking through a demonic Marxist capal

(05:14):
of this grand experiment and self governance, and you're over there picking lint out
of your navel, not saying anythingbecause you're a sweet little Christian. You've
clearly you've clearly not read Matthew MarkLuke and John because they crucified Jesus for
his mouth, because he could notstand bug eyed in front of evil and

(05:34):
not say anything. Yeah again, the voice of Doug Giles, Doug one
work, A quick story comes tomind that great leaders, you've written a
book about biblical badass as women whoare biblical badass. And one of the
most promists asked her, I meanshe risked everything to go to her husband
and say, hey, you can'tpersecute the Jews. But she was willing
to lay it all on the line. But it was clear in the scripture,

(05:55):
in that book of Esthers, andshe was sent to the kingdom for
such a time as this, AndMordecai said, if you don't do it,
got put somebody else in place. But you're in this historic moment,
so why don't you take some action? Yes, sure was gorgeous, you
know, in face and form. And she didn't use her beauty to be
an Instagram model. What she usedit for was to salvage a nation that

(06:18):
was under deep duress. So,beautiful ladies listening to Jimmy and Doug this
morning, why don't you use yourbeauty to do something incredible that puts a
big scar on Satan's haggard backside.Doug Jiles, I want you to talk
about the artwork. You've come upwith some amazing art. You've got some

(06:38):
history and biblical badass series your art. People got to see it. But
after the attempted assassination of Donald J. Trump, you also have updated your
kind of political collection. And I'vegot a spot in my wall. I've
got to send you measurements for itand see what you suggests there. But
Doug, talking about some of thelatest artwork that you've done, I think
it's kind of inspired stuff. Yeah. I got the iconic this punk fight

(07:00):
Fight Fight after Trump had the bulletto his face, and underneath his armpit
on his elevated arm it says noweapon formed against you will prosper. And
then there's an icon that says prayerworks, that's for the doubters, and
then old Glory is in the background. But here's something so powerful that I
wanted to depict in that painting isthat if it ain't your time to go,

(07:24):
you're not going to go. Anddestiny is a powerful thing. And
so when the Christians like this prayerreally work. Oh my god, if
you've been praying for Trump. Youliterally saw prayer in action on July thirteenth,
twenty twenty four, six eleven pmEastern time, and so's I wanted

(07:45):
to emblazon that into the Artificionado's Brainand that painting. That's the fastest selling
original piece of artwork that I've everdone. I put it on Instagram Boom,
It's sold immediately for a premium. And so I also repurposed my Trump
Andator I'll be back with the peopleof Trump being Determinator. And at the

(08:09):
top of it it says you missedand dead Pool I put underneath Trump,
you know, making the little heartsign and grinning I put underneath his hands.
You missed all of these. Youmight have sold the original of that
other one, but you've got printsavailable, and people on your website can
find all the sizes they need.Where do they go to get the books

(08:31):
at Amazon? Anything? Psalms ofWar, the Prayers that literally kick Ass.
I talked back to the Devil's thelatest book. Everything can be found
really at Douggiles dot doug Giles dotorg. Everything's linked up there. Is
that the best place they can grabthe arc, the books, the podcast,
Oh my goodies. It's mister Rogersneighborhood. It's family friendly. There's

(08:52):
no nudity there either. Like mywebsite Jimmy Lakey dot com, hiss is

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
