Robert (00:08):
December 28th, 2025. Welcome to the Women in Money podcast,
as well as everyone smart enough to listen. Hi, everybody, Robert,
the Producer here, and this is our final podcast of 2025.
And as is our little tradition, I'm gonna peel back
the curtain a little bit to share some outtakes, side stories,
(00:29):
and uh give you a glimpse of just how much
fun work it takes to put this show together.
Now you've heard that KT and Suze are early risers,
they've talked about that, but just like you and me,
sometimes it does take a few tries to get up
to speed.
Suze (00:47):
Are you there? You sure?
KT (00:49):
Yeah.
Suze (00:50):
All right. Ready? You ready?
KT (00:52):
Good morning, Suze. I wasn't confused. All right, Robert, this
is a, a remake...
Suze (00:58):
Maybe.
KT (00:59):
... in case we record it, she forgets if
she pushed the button or not.
Suze (01:03):
I'm having trouble today, Robert.
KT (01:05):
Yeah, and I'm exhausted.
Suze (01:09):
Don't look so cute, OK.
Stop at KT. Anyway, February 20th, 2000. Stop at KT.
KT (01:18):
Tell them what I'm doing. I'm blinking my eyes, everybody,
because I just put eye drops in. I'm not winking
at you. Look, I'm blinking my eyes.
Suze (01:26):
I'm like, what is she doing?
KT (01:28):
So I have a big announcement.
Suze (01:29):
Wait, wait, let me, let me stop, KT.
KT (01:32):
OK, go.
Suze (01:32):
All right, well, you're looking spry. I like that, KT.
KT (01:37):
The leg exercises or the exercises are really kicking in.
I'm on day 5, I think.
Suze (01:43):
I'm there right with you.
KT (01:44):
Yeah, but I don't hurt that much. Remember the second
day I was so stiff?
Suze (01:48):
Yeah, we do. Yeah, it's something, all right.
KT (01:50):
But now it's good. I like it.
Suze (01:52):
I like that we're exercising. All right. Are we ready
to start?
KT (01:55):
Yea. Let's do it.
Robert (01:57):
Now, the only time there's paper in front of Suze
or KT is when we do the Ask KT and
Suze Anything episodes, and KT is reading out loud your questions.
When it's Suze School time, Suze Orman goes into her
recording studio, centers herself, hits record, and then speaks stream
of consciousness.
(02:17):
From my perspective, it is amazing to get this file
and then listen to Suze's advice unfold.
Sometimes, however, I get brought into the conversation Suze's having
with herself.
Suze (02:30):
I don't know what to say there. So just they,
I wish I could remember where I was. I was
too passionate about it. Next, what did I want to
talk about, Robert? Robert, let's start that all over again.
This is all over the place today. Do you know
what do I want them to know, huh?
Robert (02:51):
Now, when you do a podcast, just like any other
project you're working on, sometimes you need a little sustenance
to keep you going.
KT (02:59):
Water, water break, Robert. Suze, drink water.
Suze (03:03):
All right, KT, are you ready?
KT (03:04):
I'm ready.
Suze (03:05):
What are you chewing on?
KT (03:06):
A little pistachio nut.
Suze (03:08):
Where'd you get that from?
KT (03:10):
The kitchen. I went and got a water.
Suze (03:13):
All right, are you ready now?
KT (03:14):
Yeah, let me get a sip of water.
Suze (03:19):
Of course, you ate a pistachio nut, of course you're
going to be.
You make me crazy.
KT (03:28):
OK, here we go.
Suze (03:29):
Crazy.
So, you're ready?
KT (03:30):
Yes.
Suze (03:32):
One was for you and one was for me. (Laughing)
So, oh God, so, you know, sometimes we cough.
KT (03:54):
Wait, Robert's not on.
Suze (03:55):
Yes, he is.
KT (03:56):
Oh no. (laughing)
Suze (03:58):
Oh God.
KT (04:00):
You have to see it. You have to be here.
She took out her cough tablets and put two on the
table in front of me.
I ate them both.
OK, are you ready? Wait, now a sip. Can I
have one of those, um, throat lozenges? doesn't my throat, Robert,
(04:21):
my throat sounds really dry, right?
Suze (04:24):
How's he gonna know?
KT (04:25):
He can hear it.
Suze (04:27):
When he, when he does his thing because you were
working outside and you're working all that dust, and there
you go.
KT (04:34):
Mhm.
Suze (04:36):
Uh-huh. What?
KT (04:37):
True.
Robert (04:38):
Doesn't it just warm your heart when they giggle together?
It's one of my favorite, uh, times of the week
when I get to hear that. Now, I just wrapped
seven years of working with Suze and KT on this podcast.
We're going into our eighth year, and it really is
a complete team effort. Suze has the vision. I'll polish
and tweak so you get the best version of that message,
(05:00):
and KT along with acting as your avatar and framing
your questions,
well, she never really strays far from her creative director roots.
Suze (05:09):
If KT chooses it, we will ask and answer it
on the air. OK, go on, KT.
KT (05:16):
Before we... move that microphone and move that bottle of water.
Suze (05:20):
I don't know why.
KT (05:21):
Now move the water away. Thank you. OK, there we go.
Your hands get very animated and you hit things ready?
Suze (05:30):
Did you hear that Robert? All right,
KT (05:31):
OK, so my first question is from Benjamin.
Suze (05:38):
No, you don't like that.
KT (05:39):
No, I do. Hit it. OK. Are we ready? Ready, Robert?
Suze (05:43):
What about ready, Suze?
KT (05:45):
OK, Suze, are you ready? I have 5 questions that
I thought.
Remember we did that one year? It was really fun.
They had to vote. You gave them three choices. We'll
do it again in a couple of weeks. Goodbye.
OK, you go, Suze.
Robert (06:02):
Just like when you may be speaking with someone and
you get on a roll and the story is really
going and then you have an unplanned interruption, we get
those too and sometimes it almost derails a recording session.
Suze (06:14):
But if you keep it online, like with the must-have docs,
if you happen to do it and now all of
a sudden KT's got to sneeze, go on, KT, go
for it. Come on, come on.
KT (06:26):
I'm holding it back.
Suze (06:27):
You can do it. Come on.
KT (06:29):
I got, I, I, I, I put it away.
Suze (06:33):
You put your sneeze away. Oh, that's good to know, everybody.
All of a sudden her face started to squish up
and I go, Oh no, she has to sneeze.
KT (06:40):
When I take my earplugs out, it means I'm gonna
have to sneeze.
Robert (06:44):
You know, it's a little known fact that people from
New Jersey have the power to put away a sneeze.
I've been doing it my whole life. Moving on. Here
are some stories that we had to cut for time
this year.
Suze (06:55):
Right, I know as we're recording this, but we're in Italy, as,
but we're still here even though we're gonna be in
Italy when they hear this. KT, you think we're gonna
gain weight?
KT (07:06):
Totally? Yes, yes, yes. Do you remember that trip we
took where we went from China to India to South Africa?
We did three continents...
Suze (07:16):
By the time I got to South Africa, I could
not fit into any of my outfits, and that's because
in India.
We went to this school, remember this, KT, right? We
went to this school that we were funding of all
these Brahmin priests, and they were honoring us, and we
ate more whatever, whatever they put on your plate...
(07:40):
You ate all of it because otherwise you would insult them.
I am sure that...
KT (07:44):
I think we had that theory in all three continents China, India,
and South Africa...
Suze (07:49):
And then in South Africa. Oh my God. Anyway, are
you ready? Shall we begin? All right.
KT (07:57):
Oh, my light.
Suze (07:59):
Oh, she needs her light, Robert.
KT (08:02):
Oh, wait, wait.
I'm energized.
Suze (08:06):
With light?
KT (08:09):
With my um... Guava
Suze (08:11):
What do you mean your guava?
KT (08:12):
Guava jam, little little bit will do you.
Suze (08:18):
Are you gonna send Robert any?
KT (08:19):
No.
Suze (08:20):
Why not?
KT (08:21):
Because I don't think it travels.
Suze (08:23):
A guava doesn't travel?
KT (08:25):
Guava jam.
Suze (08:27):
Robert, you have to tell her if you like guava
jam or not.
KT (08:30):
If you like guava jam or guava paste.
Suze (08:33):
She's been making guava jam and guava paste now for
the past two weeks. That's what this whole house weeks
of guava.
KT (08:40):
It's delicious. It's a fragrant, fragrant.
Um, what's that word, exotic smell.
Suze (08:47):
Aroma.
KT (08:48):
Aroma, an exotic aroma.
Suze (08:50):
We're over in the states. We come back, Robert, the
whole house, and I walk in and the house still smells.
KT (08:56):
No, no, no, I told Colo all the guavas that
fall off the tree or he picks off the tree
if they're ripe, put them on my shelf in the kitchen.
I came home and there was
15 guavas. The whole house smelled like an aroma, guava factory.
Suze (09:12):
What do you think this big strong he-man does? Stirs
the guava, the guava for like an hour. All right,
are you ready for this, KT?
Robert (09:22):
Hey, and just so you know, we did talk about
the guava. I might be allergic, so better safe than sorry.
So remember at the top of this little episode, I
mentioned that occasionally it's hard to start the podcast?
Well, sometimes it's a little tough to bring the episode
in for a landing.
Suze (09:41):
All right, you got any others for me?
KT (09:42):
Yeah, do we have time?
Suze (09:44):
We might. I don't have any idea. Robert. We'll have
to figure this out. All right.
KT (09:49):
I don't want to do anymore.
Suze (09:51):
Was that all right?
KT (09:52):
Great.
Suze (09:53):
Was it?
KT (09:54):
Yes.
Suze (09:54):
You don't have to whisper.
KT (09:55):
Yes, it was great.
Suze (09:57):
Why are you whispering?
KT (09:58):
Because I don't want Robert to, I don't want to
blow his ears out.
Suze (10:02):
You've already been blowing his ears out. What is it,
my little sweet?
KT (10:06):
People first, then money, then things.
Suze (10:10):
And if you do that and stay health, if you
do that and stay safe, if you do that and
stay strong, safe and healthy.
That's all we want for you. All right, bye bye now.
No?
KT (10:25):
That's not the ending. How we do our ending. Are
you still recording?
Suze (10:28):
How do we do our ending?
And if you do that, and do that and stay
safe and stay strong.
KT (10:38):
No, and stay safe. Bye bye.
Suze (10:40):
All right, you want to try it again?
KT (10:42):
All right, is it recording?
Suze (10:43):
Yeah.
KT (10:44):
OK.
Suze (10:45):
Go ahead.
You can just say it. I threw it to you,
KT (10:48):
OK. People first, then money, then things.
Suze (10:52):
Great. And do that and stay safe and strong and
until Sunday, stay safe. Bye-bye. No.
KT (11:01):
No, wait, Robert, she did it wrong again. One more time.
Take three.
Suze (11:04):
What do you want me to say?
KT (11:06):
Just end it.
Suze (11:07):
All right. How do I end it?
KT (11:10):
All right, here we go. People first, then money, then things.
Suze (11:15):
All right, everybody, see you Sunday now. Stay safe. Bye-bye.
Did I say Monday?
KT (11:21):
No. What you do is you say, now you stay safe.
Suze (11:25):
All right, try it again.
KT (11:25):
That's how you do it. Tell Robert, get rid of you.
We'll see you soon. Bye bye now.
Suze (11:29):
All right, you tell him. All right...
KT (11:31):
No, you tell him. You tell.
Suze (11:33):
He can hear you.
KT (11:34):
OK, OK, Robert. She told you. All right, just end
with me.
Suze (11:38):
There you go. Bye bye. All right, boyfriend, that is everything.
Robert (11:44):
So, this is just a small sample as we end
the year of the fun that we have working on
this podcast. Now, it may sound silly, but I really
can feel the love that comes through these audio files
from Suze and KT. And then when you hear every
single episode of the Women in Money podcast, we hope
you can as well. Suze and KT have more great
(12:05):
things planned for you to learn about next year. Thank
you so much for listening. And now, one final attempt
at the ending.
KT (12:16):
Robert, we are putting you to the test. See how
much you pay attention. Ready? People first, then money, then things.
Suze (12:25):
Yes, indeed. So all of you stay safe. Bye-bye now.
