Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, that's applies. Way up. It's way up for Angela.
Godfrey is here, he's on the wrong min Good morning.
I got two of them. Yeah, like two chains of
two mics. What's good? What's good? What's good? Everybody? What's
up New York? What's up? USA? What's good? What's good?
Everybody is here from Chicago, So shout out to Chicago, Chicago.
(00:24):
I am from Chicago, North side of Chicago, Lateech High School,
University of Illinois. What's good? Uptow represent Okay, Now we
are on in Chicago, way up for Angela. That's what
they do. Philly, Atlanta, New Orleans, great city. You know,
I go down south. I perform in the South. And
(00:45):
I like that that you're reaching all these people because
they're gonna come see me. We heard you on Angela
at the South and they already know you up here.
And one of your friends is going to be joining
us later today. It is Wednesday, so well Wednesdays, yes,
well Wednesday. Yes. Comedian John John last year. What a
funny man. Just a funny man. I've been doing it
as long as me. I met him years like tit
(01:07):
on John, like twenty years. He's fantastic and he has
some great stuff to talk about his app. He's in
the world of tech now and I love to see
what he's been doing. This is something that benefits everyone
with black people, but everybody's everybody want to support a
black owned business. It is Black History Month, but we
should be doing this all year around. There are twelve months, guys,
twelve months. And also in February is the shortest, so
(01:30):
you know, we need other months. Okay, I think they
should have a joint month thing. They should have Black
History Month continued in July because it's thirty one days.
You know, it's great. It's so February is Black History Month, yes,
and then Women's History Month, what is it? March? March?
You know, that's that's what I mean. March, you go
Women's History Month, and then April is Asian American Pacific
Islander Month. That's so it's like, I think that that's
(01:54):
not three months from me, you know what I'm saying, right, Yeah,
you've got you greedy. I got three months in a row. Baby,
I think it's and then I think it's like West
Indian to hold on because I feel like we got
our whole month. Also, Okay, there's only twelve months with
dog Donnut June is national Caribbean American Harry Man. Yes,
(02:16):
so I have feor April you are greedy. That's that's
a Black History month pretty much Cribban because a lot
of Caribbeans understand are in Black history. Shirley Chisholm was
from Behamian. You had esthero Behamian, Kelvin Lockhart, another actor Behamian,
Sydney Pointsier Behamian, I mean cool, Hirk Jamake. A lot
(02:38):
of Caribbeans contribute to hip hop, contribute to a lot
of American Black American history. That's real. Well, we are
gonna shine a light just like you just did. And
if you want to shine a light on somebody eight
h fifty, someone who did something positive in your life.
When we come back on way up at Angela, turn
your lights on, y'all briating to those who are doing greatness.
(03:06):
It's time to shine a light on the way up
for Angela. You want to shine a light on anybody.
And Godfree's here at me and today you're leaving us
after today for until next week. Yeah, I gotta go
to Edmonton, Canada. The comic Strip uh the ninth through
the eleventh, but I'll be back on Sunday for the
(03:27):
super Bowl and I'll be here. I'll be here Monday, Okay, Wednesday,
you know what I'm saying until I have to go
to Addison. That's Dallas. That the Addison Improv. That's the
seventeenth through the nineteenth of this month. Well, can I
shine a light on you? Shine it? I want to
shine a light on my guy got me for coming
in here and actually showing up to help me out
while I'm launching up for Angela is day three. I
(03:48):
appreciate you. I know your time is limited. You got
a lot going on. Now you can shine a light
on eight one. Were welcome? Good morning? Who's this okay?
As I want to sign a light on you, y
I'm so proud of you for everything that you've been doing,
and I'm so happy that your show is finally come
to light. Girl. I was gonna be just listening to
(04:10):
the radio and I'm like, when is were you coming on?
You know, because I'm in I tune into the purpose
all the time. So I'm just so happy for you
and I wish you all the that's with your show.
I think I gotta shine a light right back on you.
I really appreciate you. Good morning. Who's this Your morning
is to buy? Yeah? School name? Would you like to
(04:32):
shine a light on I would like to shine a
light on myself for all the work. Um. I'm into
real estate. I'm a contractor as well as I big
homes in the city of refurbishing. This will be my
fibhouse in Detroit, Michigan. I have one on the market
(04:53):
right now. The address is one nine one for one
dealing Troy, Michigan. Is that beside on the east side
areas to the east side, west side as well as
dear Born. Listen, you know I've got some properties in
Detroit too. I know you do. That's why I'm glad
I got through. I'll say it so early in you know,
(05:14):
terms of your show being, I'm hoping I can get through,
and I got through, and I want to congratulate you
as well on your new opportunity. Good word to you.
To Jeffrey, you're like old man. Okay, Jeffrey, I'll see
you later. Take it easy, Jeffrey. Alright, brother, Okay, I'll
see you. Told me. Oh, it's Tobias my phone. He's
(05:37):
from the DEED represent Detroit I'm from Chicago, like sister cities,
the d represent that's what's up Midwest? All right? Now,
good morning? Who's this all right? This is Jim from Brooklyn.
Hey Angelo, Hey Brokolyn. What's up Kim? Yes? Um, I
really just want to shine a light on I have
two sisters like these are. Last three years have been
(05:58):
really rough. I can totally relate with not wanting to
be with the man, like what Ambarrow said, Like I
really understand that when you're going through the narcissistic, the
real relationship and to have people like really hold you down,
I have to shine a light all my blood, like
they listen bad relationships when you're going through a real
(06:22):
narcissist and you just not be bound by those things
anymore and be set free. So like I feel her
like it's real and when you got family, it's just
nothing better to pull you through now keeping it Like
I'm just saying, I really felt like shining, Like O,
my sisters, they were amazing. I think you're amazing. I'm
(06:43):
here for women empowerment, Like it's just a beautiful thing
when you become free and strong and it's all up.
I love the sisterhood, like I said okay, and when
we come back we have a yet we'll be talking
about some iconic things that happened last night. In particular
there Lebron a lot of people shouting him out, and
of course you know, I gotta shot at my Brooklyn
(07:04):
nets and talk about Cam Thomas as well on YT
when we come back on Way Up with Angela Ye,

LP dot com slash way up. Oh gosip alright, and
God for you is here with me doing t. It
was an iconic night last night for Lebron James. He
(08:30):
broke Remabdul Jabbar's NBA scoring record. He entered the game
with thirty thousand, three hundred and fifty two points. He
needed thirty six to overtake that record, and he finished
the night with thirty eight points. Yeah, he'll be like
surpassing it some more. He's he's still playing for a while.
He's got He is not King James for no reason.
(08:51):
So I congratulated to Lebron. I love Lebron James, so
you know I love watching him play. So he's great
And it was amazing to see a night for my Nike.
You found a film knight waited outside the news conference
area to have a moment with with Lebron as well,
and he's for making me all this money, buddy. His
son Briannie James walked over and showed him a video
(09:12):
of the moment that he broke Kareem Abdul Jabbar's career
scoring record. You know what us I saw on social media, Savannah,
his wife and her outfit, and you know she was awesome. Team.
We're awesome team. To see the family, we love to
see it. They've been together for so long, just before
he was King James. Alright, so here is Lebron and
(09:32):
his postgame interview with Shack and here's what he had
to say about being the goat. They'll just now make
you the greatest player of all time? Are you to go? Uh?
You know, I'm gonna let everybody else, you know, decide
who that is or just talk about it. But it's
great barbershop talk. I want to hear you personally myself.
(09:54):
I'm gonna take myself against anybody has ever played this game.
I know what I've brought to the table. I know
what I bring to the table every single night and
what I can what I can do on this floor.
So you know, I always feel like I'm the best
to ever played this game, but you know, there's so
many other great ones, and I'm happy to just be
a part of their journey. I gotta feel like that.
I mean, it will beat you for you know, you
the greatest. Just say that. I always said it. Who cares?
(10:17):
I was saying, come say what you say. I love
that we got shack up here right after. I mean,
what you want me to do? That's what I do.
I interview people, and I think he's one of the great.
But I think he got great because I wasn't playing,
so I would have blocked a lot of his shots.
And addetted to that, here is what Lebron had to
say as far as how he felt when he broke
(10:37):
the records. I felt like I was sitting on top
of the arena tonight. I'm not sure if I would
be able to feel that feeling again unless just like
a game winning finals shot, but it won't be a
stop and play. Just you know, everything just stopped, and
you know, and gave me an opportunity just to kind
of like embrace it and look around and seeing my
family and seeing the fans. And I probably can count
(11:00):
on my hands how many times I've cried in twenty years.
You know, that moment was one of them when I
when I kind of teared up a little bit, it
was it was I can't believe what's going on. I
can't believe it. Don't cry. I was like, yeah, teared
up little something, but you know, I knew I was
gonna pass him up. You know what I'm saying. I cried,
just a little little tear. It was a It's amazing
(11:23):
that Kareem Abdul Jabar's record has been there for so
long because the way he scored at the sky hook,
which was in an unblockable shot, and you're like, oh,
no one's gonna beat this. And Lebron, who didn't have
a skyhook, who you know, drives to the hoop hard,
that's hardcore. I still love Michael is my favorite, but
Lebron is up there because now and that record was
for almost forty years, so a lot of people would
(11:46):
never be broken. Almost forty years, forty years. That's amazing.
Now Here is the compilation, and a lot of people
were congratulating Lebron, amongst them Rihanna, Kanja, Stuff Curry, Kevin Durant.
Listen to this, bro, what up. I am so grateful
to witness this moment in history, this one. Take the congrats.
(12:07):
Congratulations on becoming the NBA is all time leading score
with a legendary night in NBA history. My favorite thing
about being a Lebron James fan is just watching you
prove yourself over and over again against all odds and
all doubts that you were young all ago you said,
You've accomplished on and off the court. That's awesome. Left
(12:30):
to see it, And you know what, I gotta shout
out to my Brooklyn Nets too. By the way, Cam
Thomas has become the youngest player in NBA history with
three straight forty plus point games, So congratulations to Cam
Thomas as well. Right, Yeah, the Nets have been making
the news a lot lately for many different reasons, you know,
but that's just one of them. So again we got
to celebrate that iconic that's like, that's Black History month, Lebron.
(12:54):
Way to break that in the right in the right month.
Go ahead, Lebron, you're absolutely you know what to talk about.
Something white right now, something white post malone. Now he
has his dress, his weight loss. You don't like, Okay,
I don't really listen to him, but he's very talented.
I love that song with him in Doga. I like
you dude, that's my song. But anyway, he has addressed
(13:16):
his weight loss. People were concerned about his health, and
basically his father dismissed those concerns and said that he's
the healthiest that he's been in years mentally and physically,
and post malone is currently on top with the Red
Hot Chili peppers, and so people were saying, it looks
like he's sick, but he's not on drugs. He's not sick.
He gained weight for a movie role, but now he's
(13:36):
lost that weight because he's been exercising and has a
strict diet. My thing is like when you lose weight.
Everybody looks sick when they lose weight, are they? Does
he look drawn in or something you see? But okay,
I'm just saying he's a chucky guy. That is your
Yet when we come back about last night, we'll be
talking about State of the Union with Biden on Way
Up with Angela. Ye are all right? So last night
(14:04):
was the State of the Union address? Good for you
said you don't watch these things? I mean, you know
I haven't because I got rid of cable. But I'm
gonna watch it on YouTube. I usually get the aftermath
and I'll watch it again on like YouTube, whatever highlights
for just to hear them. Heckle Biden. He's like, if
you don't like it, you could check my office shadow
(14:24):
And Donald Trump was definitely on his social media side
commenting on everything. He's a very terrible speaker. I'm very
very unimpressed. Uh Biden doesn't know what he's talking about. People.
I'm I'm I cannot wait to win in four No
one will ever hack for me, please know. But yeah,
so some of the things that we heard last night.
(14:46):
Unemployment rate is at a fifty year low, okay, a
near record unemployment for black and Hispanic workers. They've already
created a lot of jobs. Another thing that he did
last night was he did talk about a conversation that
he had with Tyry Nichols. My there and both the
timer Nichols parents were there last night. By the way,
here's what Joe biden't have to say about that. Here's
your Tyree's mother shared with me when I spoke to her,
(15:08):
when I asked her how she finds the courage to
carry out and speak out the faith of God. She
said her son was quote a beautiful soul, and something
good will come of this. Imagine how much courage your
carry that takes. It's up to us. We all want
to midnight, so does everybody else out there. I wish
they would say we we have to stop killing black people.
(15:32):
That's what I want to hear, because when they say everybody,
I get it. But black people stop killing black people,
and of course people who are abused by cops, but
mainly black folks. That's what I want to proportionately getting murdered.
We need to do it like that. When they go everybody,
then people kind of missed the point. I think nobody
should be abused. Did talk more about holding police accountable.
(15:55):
Here's what he said, But what happened to Tyree and
Memphis happens too often. We have to do better. Give
law enforcement the real training they need, hold them to
hire standards. We also need more first respondents to professionals
to addressed the growing mental health substance abuse challenges. More
resources were violent crosn crime, more community universtion programs, more investments, housing,
(16:20):
education and job taring. All this and help prevent violence
in the first place. When police officers or police departments
violate the public trust, they must be held accountable. Yeah,
like that. They say they will be held accountable. You
will be fired. That is it. And you know what,
And speaking of Tyree Nichols, since you know he discussed that,
(16:42):
you know, one of the police officers, Demetrius Haley, was
standing over him and took pictures and he sent those
pictures of Tyree Nichols Boddy to the X, to other
officers and to a female acquaintance. Can you imagine that,
So you beat somebody up to death and then send
that picture out to multiple people, You'll be serving ice
water to the devil. Alright. Another thing that Joe Biden
(17:05):
talked about during the State of the Union address last
night was social security and Medicare. This is the part
that really went viral because this is when the Republicans
responded very strongly. They were booing. If you saw. I
think Margie Tillergreen was doing the thumbs down during this
part of it. So here is what he had to
say about republicans stance on social Security and Medicare. Some
Republicans want Medicare and social security sunset. I'm not saying
(17:28):
it's a majority of letting me give you. Anybody who
adopted contact my office. I'll give you a copy of
the proposal. Doesn't vote, well, I'm glad to see you now.
I'll tell you I enjoyed conversion the ideas. We're not
(17:49):
going to be moved into being threatened to default on
the dead if we don't respond. So, folks, as we
all apparently agree, So Security Medicare is officer of the books.
Now I'm pissed. Yeah, he did, but everybody started and
then they started calling him a liar and things like that,
and so that you know, they did a whole response. Yeah,
(18:10):
but I do think it's important though, to call people
out if they're the ones, the Republicans are the ones
who are blocking uh this from happening and making and
trying to take away your Social Security and Medicare. Let's
talk about everybody. I'm not afraid. Let's go, folks. I'm ready.
I'm president. That's one president now. Newly elected governor of Arkansas,
(18:31):
Sarah Huckaby Sanders gave an official GOP response to that speech,
and she said, I'm the first woman to lead my state.
He's the first man to surrender his presidency to awoke
mob that can't even tell you what a woman is.
I'm confused about what that even means. Well, her name's Huckaby,
keep moving. But yeah, so if case you guys missed that,
(18:52):
those are some of the highlights from about last night.
I don't know everybody was talking about that, especially that
part about social security and Medicare. But I'm to watch it.
I used to watch it. I usually watch everything post,
you know, because when I had cable, I was CNN,
I'll be watching everything. But then I got rid of
I was just like rid of cable. Everything was a
lot of this bad stimuli. I was done and I
(19:13):
got my Netflix and my all my other stuff, but
all my streaming. But all right, now I saw this topic,
and I know you'd be on social media people talking
about songs that they had no idea were sexual or
what it what it was about, And so a lot
of people were discussing different songs in this room. I said,
Little Red Corvette, yeah it is. Yeah, it's really slick
what they did. And Macarina. I did not know Macarena.
(19:36):
So we'll talk more about that, but we want to
hear from you guys. Eight nine to fifty one fifty.
What are some songs that later on in life you
were like, wow, I didn't know that that's what they
were thinking about. There's a lot of them. You gave
one that you should have known. You said, sexual healing.
I said God for you. Come on, Yes, it's way
up with angela yea godfree is hearing. What do you
(20:00):
writing over there? Oh, it's my supplement list. Okay, great handwriting.
Actually no, I don't hand right here. It looks nice.
My brothers is amazing. But we were talking about songs
that you did not know. We're about sex. And this
all came up because I saw him BuzzFeed. They did
this whole thing, and people were weighing in. Somebody said
for delicious, for delicious, wecious, but it's delicious, it's the T.
(20:24):
And then I was saying, now that at dance hall
songs too. Yeah, a lot of dance hall it's because
the way they talk tie you know what that's about?
Minute hands. I at that time, I didn't know that
was sex. There's another song making things up now. No,
(20:49):
I'm just saying I think some of them reggae artists
be making things up. No, but you're like, I didn't
know what that was saying. I love the way they
could phrase things, and you're like, oh, what is that
the fact that that's English. Let you know that black
folks are incredible because that is like English. They're speaking English. Nuts.
And then some other songs Rocked the Boat by a
(21:10):
Leah Rock the Boat I figured was I knew it
was the middle, I mean, work the middle. I didn't
think about talking about the stern. You might be thinking, like,
you know, sending the middle the boat. So does no, no, no, hey,
watch the stern get the sale together. But Macarena, I think,
in particular, was just such a fun song. All those
(21:31):
little kids doing the macarena. Just first of all, I
did not know that was a sexual Yeah, listen, think
about all the kids doing this makes no It doesn't
even sound like they're telling a story about a lady
(21:52):
who had who was messing around with some soldiers or
what the soldiers, Her boyfriend is deployed with the army,
even all that ends with two of his best friends.
But all of that, in those two repeated sentences, the
dance makes sense. It doesn't know, it doesn't make a
simple but we want to see what you guys think.
(22:14):
I know there's some songs. Now in retrospect, you're like,
that's what they were talking about. I talked about little
Red Corvette Prince. Yes, you know, and that was very
like he said, a pocket full of some of them used,
some of them used. That was really like brilliant disgusting,
but it's brilliant poet of cho and some of them used.
But let's see what two guys have to say. Call
(22:35):
us up, let us know about songs that you realize
later in life. Whoa, that's what they were talking about. Yes,
it is way up with angela Ye featuring Godfree Yo.
Day three of the show. Yo, yeah yo, I'm sorry. Guys.
Sometimes I see stand up and we're talking about songs
(22:56):
that we did not realize, but sexual in particularly. We
talked about make Raina. I was just playing next Too
close for you? Yeah, well that was like that came
out a little pope came out the box on some
Yes he did. I wonder if I have a heart attack.
Just no, I didn't say anything. You didn't say anything.
(23:18):
I wonder. And then he's like, don't stop. Now, you
didn't did it. I didn't do nothing. He's like, you
see what you done. That's Steve Harvey. You see what
you don't did. Now we got to cancel everything because
you don't listen and what you've done. Remember that song
by Donna, Summer Bad Girls, Well that's that sounded like
prisoner prostitution, right, yes, but you gotta think when you're
(23:41):
a little kid, it just sounds fine. She works hard
for the money too. I thought that was just her
having a nine to five. Well, so you bet it
to her, right, don't make things up. It could be
she works. Money does not have to be away from
bad anyway. We want to hear what you guys have
(24:03):
to say about song. You did not realize We're sexual?
Eight two, nine to fifty? Good morning? Who is this? Hey?
This is Mr Tally your own and found a sweet
georgea goal? Okay, what's up? What's what song? Did you
want to say? You didn't realize? I did not realize
the electric slide was actually about a factual tool that
superseded the road. You can't feel electric. It's electrics to handle. Maybe, wow,
(24:35):
it's not. I think it makes sense. I'm racking with that,
the electric slide, electric slide? Can we still do the
electric slide? Good parting? Who's this Mrs Crystal from the
seventh five seven Crystal Virginia, Virginia Beach. So, Christina, what
song did you not realize? What sexual? Candy? Candy? I mean,
(24:59):
it's not actual, but I didn't know that he was
talking about drug. Oh, it tastes like candy. It's like candy.
I can feel it when you walk, even when you're talk.
It takes our firm meat. That's what that's drugs. Didn't
realize that either. That's she's talking about cocaine. It's like
can really Yeah, sure looks sweet. I guess it does
(25:24):
take over my favorite song. It's like can be oh
real nice? It's cold kine that feeling? Right? Hey, what's up?
What you're talking about? Somethings? You didn't realize we're sexual?
Do you have one for us? Yeah? Hat friend of
(25:45):
Mark told me all the song like bo I like,
I like that, isn't it like when you sleep with me?
Sleep with me? Yeah? Hey sisters? So my mama christ
then yeah, And I didn't know that. But I heard
(26:05):
that that song growing up, but I didn't really know
what it meant because it's in French. Yeah, it's a
whole nother la that's all. That's all just walking around
singing it. Yeah, that's Patti la Belle sing that love
the way he didn't. Yeah, all the black people was
walking around. It wasn't just me, you know, nobody wore
with that boole. I let wine. Let me know what
(26:30):
to do it. Man, he made up rouche my man said,
I love that. You gotta put that. You said, show schwa.
(26:50):
He's like, yo, boole shoe shoe, I shot my shoes. Yeah,
that's what it is. That's the remix. Good morning. Is
this What's what I've need? Roy like he are you
very congratulations and August, thank you, thank you? That what song?
(27:12):
Did you not realize with sexual? Until later? I realized
that once weng was don't you already know? I didn't
realized how wow that was? So I got older? What's
up that once twelve you already know what was coming? Long?
Just to give you that obvious that Yeah, but I
(27:37):
was like four thing when I drink. Oh, I got you,
I got you to talk about your girl home coming
on the song. He just I think good times was
sexual good time, good time and the time you need
to payment good time and the time you feel free
see that's and the time you're up for Monda. Al right,
(28:02):
well that was interesting. I think we learned a lot today.
You learned did not know it was sexual at all.
All right, when we come back, we'll have Yet and
we'll discuss Michael Jackson. A lot going on with him.
And this involves billions on the way up with angela
ye yeah, going way up with angela ye. Alright, it's
(28:26):
way up with the angela yee featuring God for You.
And Yet is we do this three times a morning
where we kind of give you an update on what's
going on in the world of entertainment. So Michael Jackson,
the director for Leaving Neverland, is upset that there's a
Michael Jackson biopic coming. Dan Reid wrote an opinion piece
(28:47):
and he said, in an error when full thrown it
outrage of companies anything that smells of de legitimization or
insensitivity against a vulnerable group and amounts to a deafening silence.
No one is talking about canceling this movie, which would
glorify a man who raped children. I don't believe that,
so I don't believe Michael did it. So I think
they're just trying to take him down personally. Now, Michael
(29:09):
Jackson's family had criticized leaving Neverland. They said it was
a public lynching and character assassination. When it came out,
they said, Michael's not here to defend himself. Otherwise these
allegations would not have been made. I mean, I'm okay
to say that that. I don't believe it. Yeah you can,
because it's not anything that's I just think Michael was
a very smart businessman and he had a lot of
(29:30):
things that they wanted, and they were upset, and so
they said, let's take him down. Not unusual when a
black man gets some power. And they did it to
Sam Cook, they did it to a lot of people.
So I don't believe that at all. And I know
people who've been around Michael Jackson. Michael was a total gentleman.
He was amazing. Alright, Well, that's okay, that's that's fair.
(29:50):
I don't believe. And the news of the biopic was
confirmed by Antoine Fuqua, who is going to be directing it.
Related to Artie is he really yes? He is distant
card already quas a comedian. I didn't realize they I
knew they both had the same last name alright, So
Antoine Fuqua did Training Day and Emancipation and Jafar Jackson,
who is Jamaine Jackson's son, is going to be playing
(30:12):
the role of his uncle Michael Jackson. It's awesome. I
hope it's good. I hope it's amazing. Au Clase a
fantastic director. That's Denzel's director. That Denzel, he does all
of Denzel's equalizer oh nine fantastics alright, and Michael Jackson
to state they are reportedly and talks to the half
of its holdings in his music catalog and guess for
(30:33):
how much hope seven trillion, between eight hundred and nine
hundred million dollars. That is going to exceed. Justin Bieber's
publishing deal, which was the greatest rights sale for an
artist of the Canadians Singers generation, he sold all of
his artists royalties from his master recordings to neighboring rights
to hypnosis songs for a little over two hundred million dollars.
(30:54):
So this is this that it is. It is good
if you can take that money and something with it, Okay,
because so it's not a bad thing, because it's like
it's like giving away your property. So that somebody else
can have it. I just I just I never understood
that it's not giving it away. You're actually getting a
whole lot of money. So imagine you get eight hundred
million dollars for their getting for that for half of
(31:16):
the between hundred and nine million. Now you can invest
and buy a whole lot of other things that could
be worth three billion dollars. I just always wondered that. Yeah,
so it just depends on what you decided to do
with that money. And so if you want to get
that cash now and do something and invest and then
make way more money, and why not? All right? Now,
(31:36):
Cardi Bing Offset are in McDonald's Valentine's Day mail. They
have their own like theme mail, and so some leaked
footage came out. I thought they were fighting. No, they
were not fighting at McDonald I'm like, what is going on?
So they recently filmed the TV spot for McDonald's and
so it looks like now I saw this picture of somebody,
I guess I worked there. There's a big poster of
(31:59):
the two of them, and you can see they have
their own Valentine's Day themes mail. Cardi b an Offset mail.
You want to see it? Let's see a high see
orange and coke. Okay, tangy barbecue? All right now, Kyrie Irving,
he had some things to say since being traded to
(32:19):
the Mavericks on Sunday. He met with media for the
first time yesterday, and here's what he had to say
about his time with the Brooklyn Nets and the issues
that he had. We probably could go through the timeline
of all the reports since I first came into Brooklyn.
But the greatest lesson I can share with you that
I learned from signing in Brooklyn for Fretnessy is I
wish I would have gotten to know the people that
were behind the organization. I went in there and was
(32:39):
just a kid with a dream on my mind with Katie,
and you know, we wanted to bring a championship to
a young organization. They were only around for six years.
But when things start to change and you're not getting
transparency and honesty from people in the front office or
people around you, I mean, I don't know what person
feels comfortable and confident in that type of environment. It's
what on the bridge now right. I wish them well
(33:00):
with him in fourth place, I did what I was
supposed to do he said he needs healthy boundaries. Well,
I mean, hey, I don't know. It seems like every
team he goes to there's something going on. But that's
the truth. He wants the transparency. What's wrong with that? Like, hey,
tell me what's going on? You know? Yeah, he said
he does still maintain relationships close relationships with people from
(33:22):
Cleveland and Boston. Yeah, which is cool, But I mean
it just seems like I feel like he's like to
Terrell Owens of the n b A, just because it's
a team sport and when you you you messed the
morale up of the team. It's like when you frustrate,
everybody's like, oh not this guy again. And he's so talented.
It was such a trying time too with the with COVID. Yeah,
(33:43):
it's a different times here for everybody. There's a lot
going on. Yeah, all right, well that is your yet.
Now the next segment we have and I saw some
people feel like this is one of their favorite segments
already and we just started this. But it's tell us
a secret. So this is like a confession. You get
to call in the don't have to say your name, okay,
and you just tell us one of your secrets that
(34:04):
nobody knows about. It could be about anything, and we're
not here to judge you. We're just here to let
you vent you know you want. Okay, eight hundred two
nine to fifty, call us up and tell us a secret.
Way up with the angel Ye yeah up? Oh okay,
(34:29):
Well we are back. I'll just say it myself, and
it's way up with the Angels. Here with me. It's
black and you know, we love celebrating black history. And
so one company that I wanted to talk about, they
have a one million dollar evaluation right now and they've
raised more than million dollars from investor Matt Pinkis, and
that is Atlanta based needs a company, Love Renaissance. You
(34:51):
see them as l v r N all the time,
and that company works with Summer Walker. We're black. They
were actually founded by Carlone, Justice Junior, Sean and Tuonde
and Um. Two of them are actually rival party promoters.
Well actually I think all of them were rival party promoters,
and they were rivals while students at Georgia State University.
(35:11):
But right now what they're trying to do is expand
their business overseas, and they're talking about the Middle East
and North Africa reasons, so they said, those are the
fastest growing in the music industry, and so they want
to make sure that they're able to expand. And I
think that's amazing to have this company. It's a label,
it's a management company. They do so much for their artists.
(35:32):
Everybody I know who works with them loves them. They
have a distribution deal with Interscope Records. They have a
creative space studio in Atlanta, UM and they have a
lot of power and influence, so I love to see it.
They also managed Division, and if you know me, you
know I love Division, and so they've been doing a
lot of great things since. UM Love Renaissance has taken
them on as clients too. So there you have it.
(35:55):
That's who I would like to honor. Okay, your turn, Godfrey.
You know I love my inventor, Yes we do. So
we have a lady by the name of Marie Van
Brighton Brown, an American nurse and innovator. In nineteen sixties
six she invented a video home security system along with
her husband, Albert Brown, an electronics technician. All right, and
(36:17):
then in the same year they applied for a patent
for their innovative security system, which is granted in nineteen
sixty nine. So you're a d T all your home
security system. You think Marie Van Brighton Brown and her
husband Albert Brown. Can you believe in nineteen sixty six
black woman invented the home security system? I did not
(36:37):
know that. I know that awesome. I've been having all
these issues with my security system at home too. So
let's see if we can get that hand what's her name?
Cannot call her. I hope she's around store. That's one
thing we needed to know. But yeah, so again, it
is Black History Month. We've been honoring and celebrating a
lot of people so far this month, but I feel like, um,
(36:59):
there's so many people that we end up, you know, missing,
Like every day people send me people They're like, oh,
you should talk about this person, you should talk about
this person. So I love the fact that we're able
to do that. Yeah, we got twenty eight days, do
as many as we can, over the money as we can.
You know, we spill over to March. Abe. We do
it all every year, every month. I feel like we
should do this every day. Like, because you love inventors, man,
(37:24):
because inventions are what like I said, push society forward,
you need inventions and you know, cars and planes and
you know, and we actually I will bring that up,
Um next week, I'll bring it up about the first
car company, which was African American actually before Ford. I'll
bring that up. Okay, Okay, yeah, I'll bring it up.
You'd be surprised. We did a lot of stuff. We
(37:45):
were working. Black folks were building the country. So there's
a lot of inventions that happened, especially when you want
to be more efficient, it makes sense. Well, we do
have a black inventor coming up today by the way,
for well, yes we do. And this is so funny
because is Um he's a friend of both of ours,
John Last he's a comedian and he has come up
(38:08):
with this app. And I think this is very also
suitable for Black History Month to talk about this. But
the app is called black Black, a black app as black.
It sounds like when somebody's describing a fight. Yes, so
I ducked him right back in his mouth. And with
black this is actually something that I think fits in
with everything that we're talking about when we're talking about
(38:29):
inventors and technology is really important when it comes to
creating economic empowerment, and so John Laster has done just
that and he doesn't even have a background in this.
But I always talk about tapping into your network, and
that's what he was able to do to be able
to create this app. And what I love about it
is that it celebrates black owned businesses. And so he's
going to tell us a lot more about it, about
(38:50):
how he came up with the idea, how he got
it done, because I think sometimes we feel like in
order to get something done, you have to have a
ton of money. Yeah, that's why. That's why a lot
of people get intimidated because they go you see like
the Elon Musk and all these people, they got billions
of dollars and you're sitting there and I got a
thousand dollars? What am I going to invest in you?
You literally get intimidated monetarily. That's what happens. And one
(39:11):
thing that I always tell people if you go to school,
and whether or not you go to college, whatever, but
that network that you can build from when you're in school.
A lot of times and I learned this, you have
to tap back into that network. So when it comes
time for you to raise money or partner with somebody
if you have an idea the whole point of view.
Doing that like school, I think, to me was like
one of the biggest networking experiences for me when I
(39:31):
got out, I was able to get a lot of
text from people who I actually came up with and
the actually were people of their word too. That's important
to when people actually come through for you, you know
what I mean. And sometimes we're scared to ask. So
we're gonna John Last to tell the story of how
he was able to get funding yes for his app,
what made him even come up with this app because
(39:52):
this was also something that during the time of the pandemic.
I feel like a lot of us got creative, very
we got super creative, and I I got. I was
listening to Damon Dash during the um COVID and he
was just like, you know what this is. You know
how Damon is? He goes they said, David was. He
was on Live with somebody s Elves. What do you do?
He said, what do you think I'm gonna do? You
know what we need to do is we create us
(40:13):
right now. You know, everybody got their hands down, everybody's
in the house. It's our time. The creators need to
create and they need to show themselves. You ain't doing that,
You're wasting your time. I was like, right on. I
mean even for me starting my coffee company and opening
a coffee shop, I did that during the pandemic because
I finally had a little bit of time. I was
coming up with ideas. I was outside walking around that
was inspirational for me. In my neighborhood in Brooklyn and
(40:35):
bed Sty, I never get a chance to really walk
around like that, and so I was doing that all
the time, and that's how I came up with an idea.
So up next we got our guy John Last, comedian,
founder of the app that's called Black, and we're gonna
talk about all of those things on Way Up with
Angeline yah at it bringing bringing the mag were with
(41:00):
Angela is on Yes, Way Up with Angela on a Wednesday,
as in a Wealth Wednesday with my guy god Free, Yes, Godfree.
I was looking at this whole thing. Um jay Z
actually sat down with Elliott Wilson for title and he
was talking about how he doesn't like being photographed. We
see like whenever the paparazzis around, He's like yeah, and
he was saying that that's we don't come from that school.
(41:20):
We don't come from the we come from that. Don't
you ever record a school? What are your thoughts on
people like photographing and recording you. Well, first of all,
paparazzi is old. That's been around for a long time.
So you're not gonna stop them from doing that. Bet,
if you're out somewhere and it's like, this is what
we asked for, it's what you asked for, and it
(41:40):
is gonna If people are gonna take their pictures, they're
gonna record you. It's nothing you can really do it.
But the disrespect what you're like eating and somebody's likeding you,
they do it to you. They do it all the time.
If I'm on the train, they'll be like, oh, we
took it. We're on stage. What people like recording jokes?
They tell you. Now with comedy clubs, now they make
you put in the power in the pouch, take it
(42:02):
out of that, you know. So, yeah, it was interesting.
I just was looking at that whole story. But we
do have Wealth Wednesday. Our guy John last to speaking
of comedy clubs. Yes, yes, he's going to be joining
us for a Wealth Wednesday. Talking about his app is
called black and it helps you find black owned businesses.
It's awesome in your area, and it's for everybody. Remember
(42:23):
when you hear a lot of times when people hear
black owner, black something, they don't think they're included. It
ams that you're included. It means it's just black owned.
Because we just like to celebrate black owned businesses because
a lot of times black owned business owners get the
short end of the stick as far as loans and
the whole nine, just just the way the system has
been set up. So that's why we say black owned.
It means everybody comes support. We don't get the capital
(42:46):
that we need to get it, just like you support
black music, support black businesses. Yeah, okay, all right, but
let's do it, John Laster Black that's going to be
a solution for all of us. On Wealth Wednesdays and
way up with Angela when we back. Godfrey has been
co hosting with me, and today we have John last On.
He's a fellow comedian, yes, and so what I love
(43:11):
about John is not only is a comedian, but he's
also an entrepreneur and he's in tech. Yes. So let's
talk about this app that you have and then we're
gonna deep dive back into John Laster's history. Yes, the
comedy clubs was closed for a year. I created a
geo located app um. It also has a lot of
online businesses, so will let you know where anything is
around you. You just have to open it up. You
don't even have to think, and it takes thirty seconds
(43:32):
to download. If you don't download it, you ain't called
black b L A p P. Now why the name black?
You know what's craziest. People be asking me all the time,
what is it stand for? It don't stand for That's
what I started saying. I started lying. I started lying
to people. I'm like, it stands for half black, half app.
But that fits right. I thought it was like sounded
(43:53):
brothers make when they describe and fight. So yeah, black black,
black in his mouth black. Yeah, but it's it's a
it's a pretty cool app. I downloaded it and wherever
you're at, you pop it up. Black owned businesses pop
up everywhere, and it's for everyone. Absolutely. Mike had that
show where he was trying to buy that Yeah, that
(44:15):
whole show. Yeah he could pull that off on black though.
And we're adding more businesses every day, so there's thousands
of online businesses that's coming on, like, yeah, more and more.
So if you've got a small business, uh, definitely add
your business in the back of black So it's nationwide.
Oh yeah, it works around the world, around the whole world.
Oh yeah, it works to Ronald works in Montreal, it
works in Amsterdam, it works in London. So yes, worldwide. Absolutely, yeah, yeah,
(44:39):
we did the damn thing. It's Google technology. Google knows
what it is everywhere. So how did you get into
the world of tech? Because we all know that a
lot of people who are becoming rich right now are
investing into tech. And so for you, what knowledge did
you have? What did you have to get together in
order to even make this happen? Tech is where all
the goddamn money is. But the knowledge that I had
(45:00):
is I know that I don't know. So I called.
So I called some people who do know, you know
what I mean. I made a phone call the Silicon
Valley and the rest, you know, jumped off from there.
My home girl, actually they started with me. Her name
is Margot. We went to high school together and she
had some dinner guests over and she was talking about
what she wanted to do her husband was a little bubbly.
So he keeps saying, you're not gonna believe what she's
(45:21):
working on. She was like, fall back, it's gonna be
a minute. And the dude across the tables like, Hey,
tell your friend, I'll do it. I'll do it for free.
So my boy, the app for free for you. Yeah.
So he made me a proof of concept, didn't charge
me a penny. You know, his wife's black, his kids
are black. My guy, Matt, great guy and uh and
so during his downtime, while we were all locked down,
he got me to a proof of concept and then
(45:42):
we handed it off to you know, to put the
you saw the prototype, the prototype. I was able to
put the app on the prototype and see what that
was gonna be. What sector do you see on black
that you that it's hardest to find a category of
black owned businesses? What sector I think you know be?
To be flagrantly honest with you, I would say all sectors.
(46:04):
And it's because we don't know. Take for example, if
we were sitting here and I asked you guys to
name three black owned ice creams. There's Mike's this guy,
he has an ice cream place. But do you see that,
and we're educated people that look to support black own
and we don't know. People don't know Tyrant has an
ice cream. People don't know forty has an ice cream.
People don't know. My point, and that's what black is
(46:25):
there to do to start exposing with the spoon. Yes
he's got plenty of one, but I'm saying people don't
know that. There's so many things. So now what I've
been doing is trying to have free lunch Fridays. So
if you're in a black owned joint, jump on my
I g on Black the app, and I'll buy your lunch.
So we're having free lunch Fridays on black I'm also lunch.
(46:47):
I'll buy their lunch if they're in the black owned
organ Yeah, I startedcouraging people to eat whoever they whoever,
whoever is on the live, whoever is like a suit kid,
whoever is on the live, whoever, whoever, it comes all
my live. If you know what I'm saying, If y'all
with your folks, and then I'll get you lunch. But
you know, one of the other things that I've been
doing is getting with this my my guy his name
(47:08):
is your friend, Charles, and he just refused liquors. We
spent a lot of money on liquor. The first, my
first purchase on black was at a liquor store. I
was buying my home girl. I was gonna say, I thought,
you don't drink, John, I don't okay, Oh yeah, I
stopped drinking When he said that, I was like, wait
a minute, stopped stop John, please? Oh my goodness. Yeah,
(47:30):
both y'all knows. Both y'all know, pre stop drinking, John.
Uh yeah, black block will quickly go to crap. We
go from block to crop up in the drug Yeah, yeah,
(47:50):
I would. I wouldn't be in the tech business if
if I was still drinking. So yeah, okay. So the
first Yeah, it was my home girl's birthday and I
was gonna go to this wine and stopped. Stopped across
the streets and she was like, no, why don't you
try to app? And all I have is a prototype
back there, And I went to the liquor store, bought
two bottles of liquor, walked out of the liquor store,
and I thought to myself, damn, if we could ever
(48:12):
get a million people on this app, And they did
exactly what I did. You know that would be fifty million.
If they never used to app again the rest of
their life, that'd be fifty million dollars in black registers.
And I was like, then it I realized what the
impact of it could be, and I just started bawling.
I was like, Oh, this is what they're gonna put
on my tombstone. Not the comedy or the basketball, No,
no, no no, this is this is gonna be up. But
(48:33):
it's growing up black on two. So for you get
a black on, just find me, find me a cast
get on black. Not hard to find a black funeral,
don't worry. Oh yeah, you got them right about that. Yeah,
I don't need to put them on there. So let
me ask you this, John. You talked about how you
(48:54):
had somebody who actually was able to get everything together
for you for free. How much with something like that cost?
And you know what's so funny? I asked him, it's
funny that you said that because when when we were
making the app, I wasn't gonna go the route that
he went. He's the one that put the Google technology
in there. I was gonna do with all the apps
that you see now, do none of them have what
we have. But I was gonna do the same thing
(49:15):
that they did, and I figured I could get it
out to more people. So I said, you know, how
much would it cost to do it my way? You're
gonna do it for free? Okay, whatever, I don't I
don't want to gamble because it was a gamble. No
one had ever done this before. I said, how much
would it cost to do with the way that I
want to do it? He said about fifty thousand, and
I was like, let's try it your way. Yeah, let's
you know what, let's try your Let's let's let's roll
(49:36):
the dice on this one. But it worked, it panned out,
but it would probably cost around fifty graham. But I
will say this, I was just with It's funny my
guy's own Squire, which is a black owned barbershop app
all black owned barbershops. You can schedule your appointment, pay
through the app, so it's just super convenient. But Squire
those guys. I was just with co founders a Squire
(49:56):
yesterday and we were talking about that we're gonna be
the first once through the door, so we need to
start trying to find ways to be in touch so
that when other people are coming up behind us. We
can let them know where the money is, how to
do things. And I've started like this little thing at
my crib where I'm doing diary of a tech founder,
so I can tell people about you know what I mean,
(50:17):
all the things that I'm going through, so the next
person that comes through don't have to make the same
mistakes I did. When it comes to stand up and
you doing black, have you been able to incorporate things
that have happened into your stand up? Absolutely? I'm telling
you all types of job. You know, I just got
robbed by a developers grand from develop how or somewhere.
(50:39):
You know what they do is he was making up
all this code that he was writing. But yeah, because
we don't stick up kids a stick up kid, you
have to do it physical a little tech tug man
and where we from. Man, if somebody steal twenty grand
from you, go see him. You know what I'm saying.
But how does this so book that are listening, No,
(51:01):
if they're trying to do something like this, yeah, hit
me if you if you need, if you and if
and if you are listening and you're trying to start
something in tech, hit me up. I respond to emails.
I want to help every young black person trying to
trying to get done. Please hit I will. I will
respond back to U d M. And he's making up
(51:21):
cold that he's writing and I'm getting the bills for it. Yes,
and he's in Georgia them up And I'm not talking
about Atlanta. He's in the country of Georgia. Man. You
know how you find out? He was Oh, you get
the bill. So first of all, everybody else's bill we're
all working on the same project, right, And then everybody
else's bill is like two thousand dollars and his bill
(51:43):
is fifteen, you know what I mean. Then he did
it again and it was like, oh, come on, homie,
but he's still like yeah, so yeah, but I do
talk about that on stage. Okay, Well, we've all been
scammed at some point when it comes to coming up
with an idea. But when we come back, we'll have
Marta John Laster, comedian, but the founder of the app
called Black I'm way up with antilogy for Wealth Wednesdays.
(52:05):
Angel is way up both Wednesdays. You know, I love
talking about finances and entrepreneurship. We have John Lester joining us.
He's a comedian but he's also the founder of the
app called Blap. He's also friends at Godfree, so God
for you have a question any people you have on
the black so far? How many people? How many businesses
or download? Businesses or downloads? Both of them are at
around fifty thousand. There's there's over fifty thousand businesses and
(52:28):
we just hit fifty thousand. There's businesses, yes, and you
have fifty subscribers yes, okay, okay, so yeah, we just
got so. We did a focus group with these kids
at Berkeley and it was like almost icon by icon,
screen by screen analysis of what people liked and didn't
like about the app. Once I make them changes, then
(52:50):
we'll probably don't people not like you know what people
I found out really want? Yo, John, where are the deals?
Oh that's a good one. Yeah, yeah, I like deal
like that on my food. Yes, really, so the feedback
they gave me deals, the feedback, I'm not gonna give
it all up because somebody might be listening if you
(53:11):
trying to out hustle me. But but I'll say this,
the stuff that they gave me was priceless. Yeah, that's true.
I would have said that too, because that's a great
incentive for me if I'm ordering food or doing something
and I see today you get five dollars off. You know, yes,
So once I incorporate all that, then I'll double the
(53:33):
size of the app. And what do people like the
most about it? People love that you don't have to think.
People want to help, but you gotta help me help you.
I'm not going out of my way to help your ass.
So people love the idea that you could open up
black and be like, Oh, I don't have to pass legislation.
I don't have to march. I could just order lunch
and do my part. Or I can order cupcakes, I
(53:55):
can a black own. I can I can Valentine's Days
coming up? We got Floris on here. You're gonna buy flowers. Man,
I ain't got nobody, y'all nothing. Everybody's been blocked and
kicked out. You're done. That makes that makes two of them.
(54:15):
Even when I walked down the street, you can sometimes
people build things to sell it. So for you, is
Black something that you feel like, I want to keep
this and keep it going and be forever involved or
do you think to yourself one day I'm a cash
out and yeah, I would cash out by the end
of this goddamn conversation. If yeah, it's so much. People
(54:37):
have no idea when you look at these simple as apps.
But Godfrey, no, I'm probably working twelve sixteen hours a
day on this thing. Man. I think that the thing
for me, my goal, my north star is to change
people's habits. If we could get black out there and
people began to change their habits, right, and you can
tell by the data, then uh, what do you need
with me? Um? I want people when they think about
(54:59):
buying they're Valentine's Day flowers to think, hey, let me
check black. Right, as long as that thought crosses through
people's head, as long as it becomes a part of
people's thought process when they're spending. You need with me
for okay? All right, but we'd love to see it
John last, and tell people how they can find you. Yo,
Hit me and he was funny first of all, download black,
(55:19):
do that first and foremotion. Then hit me at he
was funny. Follow me and he was funny, and um,
jump on, I know somebody has he is funny, some
some un hilarious mother pass. He is funny. That's why
he was black ass, You know what I mean? Yeah,
I am funny. But somebody got that too. Uh yeah,
(55:41):
so he was funny. Follow Black the app do that too, yo?
And you know what, like I said, follow me on
Block the app. We're doing free lunch Friday, jo and
can people do you have some type of thing where
people can also invest? Like yeah, yo, you know what
if you want to email me at Hello Black, we're
taking the credit investors. Then windows closing because you know what,
(56:02):
this is gonna sound crazy. I just got a partnership
with Google. Oh okay, I know the game is about
to change. I know. I just got a part like
two weeks ago, got a partnership with Google. So but
they are they are all in. So thank you Google.
If you're going to invest now is a good time, yes,
(56:23):
because there's a program that they're trying to get me
in and I'll know that probably in the next ten days.
So it's got to happen pretty quick because because I'm
not gonna say but that window will be closed. Okay, yeah,
but things are going good. Things are going unbelievably good
for Block. Alright. Well, I'm glad that you and God
people be hanging out with each other. Yes, we just
(56:46):
went from black to crop up in here to thank
you so much of Wealth Wednesdays. Thank you guys, no doubt. Alright,
well that was Wealth Wednesdays with our good friends John Leicester.
And when we come back eight D two nine to
fifty one fifty is the number. It's ask ye any
questions that you have, we are here to help. It
could be about entrepreneurship, it's about Wednesday Wednesday, or it
(57:08):
also could be about relationships. You know Valentine's Days next
week and wealth is health, wealth is love. Well is
all the good stuff? All right? Good stuff on the
way up with Angela Ye, with its relationship or career advice,
Angela's dropping facts should know. Yes, it's way up with
Angela Ye. And it's time for ask ye. Goffie and
I are here to all of your questions now. This
(57:31):
person is anonymous. Yes, okay, what's your question, darling? Um,
I just wanted to say congrats on the show. I'm
a big hand of lip service to thank you. My
question is, of course, Um, I'm in a relationship right
now with someone who had been with for a year,
but we are having problems in the bed. I'm starting
to think he has a d and I'm currently seeing
(57:54):
someone else as well on the side, and I'm having
a better experience with him, but they're kind of play
some games. Sometimes they don't take me back right away,
you know, and it's like, you know, what are we doing?
What is this? But I like it better in the
bed with him versus my actual boyfriend. I don't know
what to do. I really care about my boyfriend. How
long have you been with your boyfriend? How long have
(58:15):
you been listening with this dude? Sometimes when it's new,
it's all exciting, because what if after a year you
mess with him and he starts to not work. Maybe
you're getting bored. You know what I'm saying you. It's
always every time it's new, it's always great. But let's
talk about his erectile disfunction. Because you do really like
your boyfriend, right, I do? And at first it was
(58:37):
really good, but then I don't know where it's just
started getting bad erect out dysfunction. What if it's you
don't know. I'm saying, no, no no, no, no no, no. That's
not putting her down. What if he's already you and
his thing ain't working and it's working for someone else
like you, You're you might be having sex with this
other another person. Now you you are right, So what
if he's having sex with another person, he just gets
(58:57):
soft when he sees you. I'm just saying, don't put
this back on her. Put it back on her. But
now let's talk about this though. Was he diagnosed? Has
he gone to the doctor to see what the issue is?
He hasn't. I'm too scared to tell him. But I've
done my own like research on what you know. It's
kind of matching up, and it leads to that what
(59:17):
does he what's going on in his real life? Does
he have some issues? Does he have extra stress? Is
his diet changing? He does have some really serious stuff
going on, And I feel bad. That's why, like even
feel bad, like thinking like this. He does have some
real going on. Right, Well, that's okay, But let me
say this first of all, if you care about him
(59:38):
as a person and you know he has some really
serious things going on, I think you need to help
him tackle that, whether or not you're going to be
with him cheating on him. If he finds that out,
by the way, that's gonna crush him, especially because you
know he has so much going on. Now, yeah, I
also have this one more question. There there's an odor
problem and I don't know how to bring it up.
(59:58):
So his penis stay. Yes he has he might have
been std there's something going on here. No, he doesn't
clean himself. Oh god, I would hope. So but what
part is what? What part? What did she say? So?
(01:00:20):
Is he circumstances he's not cleaning under the carpet. Okay,
so he has schmigma, he has megman and I don't
know how to tell him. You go, hey, you're schmgm stinks.
I mean, hey, what is that velvet? If you care
about him at all, it's what is that? It's only
going to help him. You want to help him, whether
(01:00:41):
or not he's with you. What is that? Schell? It
smells like schmigma? You want to help. Don't want to
be the one to tell him and her feelings. You
know who else is going to you? You should know
what is this? This mean? You should do? Do you first? Go?
Is that is that me? Because what did you want
him to tell you that you smell? Yes? I would
(01:01:03):
for sure, but I don't know. I just don't want
to hurt him ego by saying you know your smell?
Just say, what is that velvet. That's a temporary hurt though,
that is something that is like okay, because that's a
it could be a health issue, and that's something that
he needs to know and handle and take care of
because that could grow into something worse. You just say, hey,
you know you're not circumcised, So I think that there's
(01:01:25):
a that's what you do. You have to do it
like you know you're not circumcised, and usually and then
you know, google something, go look there's a thing that
they say that people are circumcised. Get this velvet. What
is that, Magma? And maybe you can let's clean it
together and you can pull back the turtleneck and clean
under the turtleneck. Yeah, I can't be the one to
(01:01:53):
clean it dip it in some solution. You do have
to telling him as somebody that cares about someone, sometimes
you have to have those hard You gotta do that,
You gotta do that. There's a lot of different layers.
But I don't feel like you guys are gonna end
up together. You don't even want to talk to him
and tell him and be honest with him about things
that who you like better in the bedroom? Well, oct
(01:02:18):
this it's not him, yo, You gotta tell him about
this for skin. It's the guy you're doing it with.
Is he doeskin? The other guy? No, he's circumcised. Yeah,
tell him, that's what you say. The guy I'm messing
with and got the fourth skin, and you got the
fourth skin, so I know it's the smell of the
fourth skin. Okay, Well, good luck with that girl. But
you gotta let him know at the least. Yeah, I will,
(01:02:41):
all right, But I was asking, ye, and I told
you we will answer any question, right, Yes, we will. Alright, Well,
eight is the number if you have any questions for asking.

Way Up with Angela? Ye, yeah, Way up with the Angela.
Ye last word fifty. The phone line should be working
soon for people to be able to leave these messages.
But Godfrey, I enjoyed these first three days Way Up
with Angela? Good. Three is the magic number? You know
what I mean? Yes, it is. It was awesome. I
wish it was I was the whole week, but I
(01:06:38):
gotta be out to Canada. Edmonton Comic Strip in Edmonton, Alberta,
Canada from the ninth to the eleventh, and then the
following week is Addison Improv in Dallas. Addison Improv February
seventeen through the nineteenth. So but I think the rest
of February, I think I'll be. I can do the
whole Black History months, the whole Yeah, I can do
(01:07:00):
the whole week. I'm gonna come as much until you
kick me out, okay, until you go, Thanks Godfrey and
I talk. No, okay, well, don't do that. Okay, Listen,
I was looking up some things for you because you
were having this whole thing about smegma. Do you know
what it is? What schma? Is it like dirt? Is
(01:07:21):
it like? What is it? It's like bacteria. It's very
yidd Ish schmegma, like like schwitzend. Okay, So it's a
combination of fatty oils, shed skin cells, and moisture like sweat. Smegma.
It's very it sounds very yidd is like a the
(01:07:44):
sma O. You're hearing me. Do you know that women
get that too? Oh? Of course I said it was
a man thing. No, but you guys might have flaps.
All right, Well, you know, good hygiene, guys. Make sure
for everybody listening ring asking. One of our listeners called
in and the guys, she's dating her boyfriend. It smells
(01:08:07):
in hair, it smells like sour hotdogs. Taste the soup.
I don't want to taste the soup. It smells weird. Well,
I just want to advise everybody to make sure you,
you know, lift up any wrinkles and make sure you
get in there and get those wash cloths. Everybody dig
(01:08:27):
in and scrub. What's wrong with these things? It's also
okay to just scrub with your fingers and your hands
and things like that. No, no, no, you get that.
You get a wash cloth, a white one, to see
how filthy you are. Stop using colored wash cloths, okay,
because you don't know how dirty you are. Although now
in hotels, I noticed they have black wash cloths for
women from makeup, so when you take the makeup, you
(01:08:48):
can see how much you know, so that it doesn't
get on a white wash cloth. You take your makeup
off with the black wash cloth, But when you're washing yourself,
you need a white wash cloth to really see how
much magma you have dirty. It's it's gonna say godfree, okay, sorry,
(01:09:09):
my goodness. Alright, Well, anyway, we had a good time
with you, like I was saying, And I do want
to give a big congratulations to Natry and to Louis.
They're having a baby. They just announced it in people,
so I want to congratulate them. I love them, amazing cup.
I was in their wedding and everybody's everything. I haven't
(01:09:31):
been in a wedding in a long time. Yeah, I
did Atlanta and it was terrible. I did comedy for
a wedding, did comedy for a wedding. This isn't gonna last.
Grandmother's like, don't say that. We just said that to
you here that I didn't know. I'm trying to be
as safe as I can. Well, it's not working. What
is We have this thing called a dump button here
(01:09:55):
and so every time, because this is live, Godfrey says something.
So I didn't say anything crazy, I didn't not don't
say it again. All those words were bad. I didn't know. Okay,
well now and then you said it five times after
they no, no, no, no, no, it's nothing. Okay, Well anyway,
so this is today's last words. And of course it
(01:10:17):
was Wealth Wednesday. Thank you to John Laster. Yes, make
