to have this in the studio, a black owned business
and beautifuln.

Speaker 8 (04:24):
You describe It's beautiful? Can you describe it?

Speaker 7 (04:26):
It's like a mirror, but there's a tree design around
it in the hand makes them.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
And he's very tall. How tall you're thinking? It is
very tall.

Speaker 6 (04:33):
It's taller than us.

Speaker 7 (04:34):
But he drove it up here. Now it's time for
y'all to shine a light on whoever you went to.

Well, let's shine a light on YouTube for doing a
great job on raising your daughter, Eddie.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Who you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 2 (05:18):

And actually I'm doing really good now me and my
family have her own place. Yeah, we have her own
place now, so we're doing good. I also want to
shine a light on my wife, who is very sick.
He's very sad for her. She has ara and fiber

(05:40):
my analogic. But she is one of the strongest women
I've ever met in my life. She cooks, she cleans,
she does everything she supposed to do as a woman,
and I love her very much. I just wish there
was something I could do for her, but I can't.

Speaker 6 (05:51):
So I love her and I just want to you're
praying for her, by the way prayers.

Speaker 12 (05:56):
Her name's christ Sooto, so I wanted to put that
out there. She's a great, wonderful woman, wonderful human being.

see it because you can it's inside, but it's a struggle.
And I wanted to shout out you angelas. I've been
listening to the Breakfast Club for years, and to see
where you're at now, it's just amazing. Man, it's really awesome.
So I just wanted to shout you out and shine

you've done for us.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Thank you.

Speaker 12 (06:22):
We appreciate you.

Speaker 13 (06:23):
Yeah, Angelo, there you go.

Speaker 7 (06:25):
He called in with his three people. He wanted to
shine a light on and touched our hearts this morning.
Ceec from Brooklyn, who you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 10 (06:33):
I want to shine a light on my white Okay,
he's the backbone on my light. I wouldn't go to
the doctor without.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Oh nice.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
How long y'all been together low each other.

Speaker 10 (06:43):
For over twenty years? Been married for ten years, Bob
years and been together for ten years?

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Nice?

Speaker 6 (06:49):
See I love that.

Speaker 7 (06:50):
And there's all these conversations about marriage and marriage is
and important and.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
See, look then we hear a story like this with
Cec and her wife.

Speaker 10 (06:57):
Yeah, man, that was just good.

Speaker 12 (06:58):
Go for your soul.

Speaker 6 (06:59):
Marriage good when it's to the right person.

Speaker 10 (07:01):
Yes, yes, for the right person, yes, yes, all.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Right, shine a light on him.

Speaker 10 (07:06):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 6 (07:07):
Well, you know what it is.

Speaker 7 (07:09):
It is super Bowl Friday, well, the friday before Super
Bowl Sunday, and so it is Rihanna's super Bowl this weekend. Yes,
and so let's talk all things Rihanna ahead of the
super Bowl.

Speaker 13 (07:20):
What you got?

Speaker 1 (07:21):
I did have the cheese, but I think I changed
my mind. Can you do that?

Speaker 8 (07:24):
I can?

Speaker 7 (07:24):
Okay, Well, we'll talk about it on yet when we
come back on Way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Up, Angela Yee is way up, they say in the
rooms from industry shade to all of gossip out, Angela's
feeling that et.

Speaker 7 (07:43):
Yes, it is way up with Angela Yee and my
partner in crime, Jasmine Brand, is here. I'm here from
the Jasmin Brand dot Com. And I know you've been
reporting on this, but the super Bowl is on Sunday.
But you know what we're excited for Rihannaana. That's right,
Rihanna performing and so many things to talk about. But
she did do an interview with Apple Music. There was

(08:05):
an Apple Music press conference ahead of the game, and
she talked about a lot of different things, like putting
together her set list for the show.

Speaker 6 (08:11):
Here's what she had to say.

Speaker 14 (08:13):
Was your trial and error, you know as you started rehearsals,
were you running through set lists and tweaking realizing this
didn't work in this moment?

Speaker 15 (08:19):
Oh yeah, they're probably about thirty nine versions of the
set list right now.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Oh all right.

Speaker 7 (08:26):
In addition to that, she started talking about her stamina.
She hasn't performed I think in over six years.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
That's a long time.

Speaker 7 (08:33):
Yeah, that is, and she's had a baby, of course,
and so what's going on with that? Because the set
is thirteen minutes, but it's a NonStop action.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Here's what she said.

Speaker 15 (08:42):
The physical challenge has definitely been immense for many reasons,
of course, but I haven't done this in a minute.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
That was first things first.

Speaker 15 (08:51):
So you're just running around for thirteen minutes, trying to
put like a two hour set in thirteen minutes, and
you're gonna see on Sunday it just from the time
it starts, it just never it just never ends until
it's like the very last second.

Speaker 7 (09:11):
There's also rumors that she's doing a documentary she should
be based on this Super Bowl ence.

Speaker 6 (09:17):
Yes, yeah, so I would watch that.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
I definitely would.

Speaker 6 (09:20):
See her getting ready all right.

Speaker 7 (09:21):
In addition, she talked about her Caribbean representation when it
comes to this halftime show.

Speaker 14 (09:29):
Wondering if you're hoping to incorporate any elements of Caribbean
culture in the performance.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
That's a big part of why this is important for
me to do.

Speaker 15 (09:36):
This show representation, representing for immigrants, representing for my country, Barbados,
representing for black women everywhere. I'm really excited to have
Barbados on the super Bowl stage.

Speaker 6 (09:50):
Good, I'm excited for that too.

Speaker 16 (09:53):
Can you imagine being a little girl in Barbados seeing
Rihanna perform during a super.

Speaker 7 (09:57):
Bowl Listen, just imagine all the video footage we've seen
a Rihanna as a little guy performing in To see
where she is now is amazing. And now here is
the question that I know Rihanna gets asked all the time,
and sometimes she might go in on you if you
ask her about it.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
But new music.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Musically, I'm feeling open.

Speaker 15 (10:19):
I'm feeling open to exploring, discovering, creating things that are new,
things that are different, things that are off weird, might
not ever like make sense to my fans, you know,
the people that know the music that I put out
that I just.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Want to play. I want to have fun. I want
to have fun with music.

Speaker 7 (10:42):
All right, So looking forward to it. I've been watching
all the ads leading up to it too.

Speaker 16 (10:47):
Yes, they're really cute, especially the one with the little
girl they perform und this Town that was So, what's
the one song she has to perform?

Speaker 1 (10:55):
What does she have to perform?

Speaker 6 (10:59):
Not doing? Hey, I can't see her not doing pond
the replay? Hey, mister DJ, work work work work.

Speaker 7 (11:05):
Work, Oh yeah, work work work has to be And
I feel like it's going to be an upbeat performance
because that's what people want.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
To see too. During halftime, you think she will bring
somebody up?

Speaker 6 (11:13):
Yes, for sure. I don't know yet, asked me a
lot of questions.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Sorry, Okay, I don't know. I don't know who she's
gonna bring out. Do you think Jayzon you'll come out? Yes?

Speaker 6 (11:22):
I mean, isn't he in charge of the halftime show performances?

Speaker 8 (11:25):
But does he really want to work?

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Though?

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (11:27):
Probably not.

Speaker 7 (11:28):
He's like, like I just was at Grammys and stuff. Okay,
help me out, all right? And speaking of the super Bowl.
Another thing I want to talk about is Michael Irving. Now,
yesterday we discussed this story about a woman who accused
him of misconduct in the hotel lobby where he's staying
ahead of the Super Bowl, and now he is suing
the accuser and the Renaissance Hotel a one hundred million
dollar lawsuits. Al Right, he says he's being a railroaded

(11:50):
with false accusations that are ruining his career. They said,
rash and thoughtless actions can have severe consequences. Marriott, who's
a parent company of the Renaissance Hotels, apparently did not
appreciate these simple truths when in arrested judgment, it's employees
and management inaccurately and inflammatorily accused mister irvit of misconduct
to the National Football League. And you know, he's not

(12:12):
going to be able to report on the game. He's
not going to be able to do the Super Bowl
coverage and people were looking forward to seeing him.

Speaker 6 (12:18):
But this is all because a woman said that he
did something, and we.

Speaker 8 (12:22):
Don't know what the something.

Speaker 6 (12:23):
We don't know what that's something is.

Speaker 7 (12:24):
He also gathered up some witnesses that backed his initial claim.
All he did was exchange pleasantries with the employees, shook
her hand, and then went to his room alone.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
I want to know what he allegedly said.

Speaker 7 (12:34):
And he also did say he couldn't remember everything because
he had been drinking.

Speaker 16 (12:38):
Well, and that's the part that's the issue, speaking of
which speak of drinking.

Speaker 6 (12:43):
Speaking of not remembering every day drinking.

Speaker 16 (12:48):
He got that patron if Andre's first full week and
it's Friday, Friday, and so I was saying, we need
to drink, and we actually have some of that here
y J said, y'all want to go viral today?

Speaker 7 (12:59):
Uh oh, all right, well anyway that is your EyeT.
I'm sure there's gonna be plenty more coming up this morning.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
We just did e T.

Speaker 7 (13:07):
Yeah, we were just talking about the super Bowl and
Michael Irving and everything. So when we come back about
last night, this actually would be a good topic for
J to talk about.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Topic it is it is, you know what, I might
feel like this might be a better fit up for
the day, like for the cod like for the cocoa,
for the co host.

Speaker 8 (13:26):
Okay, okay, ray Jay, I'll be back.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Ray Ja.

Speaker 6 (13:29):
We'll be back when we come back about last night.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Way up, going way up with Angela. Ye, yeah, last night,
So about last night?

Speaker 9 (13:39):
Last night?

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Last night I went down.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Stretches.

Speaker 6 (13:46):
Okay, it's Ray Up with Angela.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Yee whoa ray Way Up?

Speaker 11 (13:51):
Just mom.

Speaker 7 (13:53):
And Jasmine brand is here also, yes, and it is
every day Friday, my first week on Way Up, which
is now Way Up with Angela.

Speaker 6 (14:04):
It is, and we're doing about last night.

Speaker 7 (14:05):
So this is where we talked about something that happened
last night, and we actually have a topic out of
it today. So Jasmine and I went to go have
a drink after the show, as we do a lot
of times, and we were talking to our very amazing
bartender chat chat and he was telling us he's been
married for eighteen years and with his wife I think
for twenty three, yes, before that, and he said the

(14:27):
reason that his marriage is successful is because he's not
on social media.

Speaker 6 (14:32):
He said, he does not have an Instagram page.

Speaker 7 (14:34):
So therefore, even though he meets a lot of other
women that he works with and in the bar, nobody's
tagging him on things. Nobody's saying hey, can you follow me?
And it works for him to just stay out of
the way.

Speaker 8 (14:45):
He said.

Speaker 16 (14:45):
The last he said the last well, he said the
last thing he had in terms of social media was
my Space.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
So he just wants he wants to be sneakier. She
could be way sneakier without social media.

Speaker 8 (14:54):
He say, well, dog his dogs.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Yeah, he has a page verstage, so he's DM and
everybody through this.

Speaker 6 (15:00):
His dog is his dog.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
His plans have Instagram page. Plants.

Speaker 8 (15:04):
Yeah, his plants. He's a married planter and an adult
with a dog.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Yeah, I thought you met. I thought he was a
bartender atend.

Speaker 8 (15:13):
He has plants that would make you a plant.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
He has a plant. He does plants at the bar.

Speaker 6 (15:19):
No, in real life.

Speaker 8 (15:21):
Do you have plants at your house?

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Plants? Yeah, they're dead. Yes, Okay, Well because I was
smoking and then I was asking in the plan and
now is brown. I'm no. I know Peter owe me
twenty grand. He better give me the They better give
me my money. And he's a long time ago.

Speaker 16 (15:36):
What do you think about Do you think it's helpful
to be married and not be on social media? You
think that would be helpful for you.

Speaker 7 (15:42):
Like, imagine you just didn't have social media, yeas it
caused issues for you.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
Well, I think that not having social media would mean
we would be doctors and other things that wouldn't require
social media, you know, business like in our business, this
is business and a bartending business. You don't need social
media like that unless your brand and your brand or
you know, uh, planning things like you know what I'm.

Speaker 6 (16:05):
Saying, Yeah, you could have a raycon page.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
And then I think it just gets bad because you're
gonna still be on there. You're just kind of curving it.

Speaker 16 (16:13):
What's the longest you stayed off social media? Have you
ever taken a social media break?

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Absolutely you have to.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Well, I don't.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
I don't like being on social media, so I'll take
a gap like I just took. I just took because
I was going real viral every day last week, I
mean last last year, dang, and I don't and then
I got I burnt myself out. I was like, I'm
tired of going viral.

Speaker 7 (16:33):
Do you think sometimes that whether or not is good?
You know how they say, oh press is good press?

Speaker 17 (16:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (16:38):
Do you feel like that, like even though sometimes you're
like I'm going viral, sometimes it's fun, but then sometimes
it's like hu.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Well for me, I don't really. I would never that
was me just rolling the dice. I would never do
anything drastic. I'm just at a point where I'm on
autopilot from like extreme like cancelation. So because I think
I respect women, I respect relationships. I want everybody around
me to go home happy, and so my job is

(17:04):
to make sure everybody is good. That's just who I am.
So I don't I'm not gonna go there. But man,
this patron I forgot the question.

Speaker 8 (17:12):
I'm not gonna lie. I think it's because we took
a shot right before.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
I was about to answer the question. I'm like, dang,
I'm lost. It's okay, all press. Maybe for me is
because I you know, I'm honest, so it hurts and
I say it hurt me. You hurt me when you
said that, and then they go okay, so and as
long as we get that out the way, like versus
hurt what what? What really hurts you about? Versus the

(17:39):
way I sounded it hurt.

Speaker 8 (17:41):
Us to the listeners.

Speaker 6 (17:43):
But there's a but there's a way.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
There's a way to do something bad. There's a way
like oh, Marian was off, and and Jeremiah, I'm sorry
you guys, I was off too, So don't get mad.
Well I was off the right way, like I can't
y'all's funny off. I seen Jeremiah the next day, and
I felt like we were off two different ways. So

(18:06):
I went this way, he went that way, because I
have felt like I was off and on.

Speaker 8 (18:10):
Oh you think you were off and on?

Speaker 1 (18:11):
I think I was off, but at the highest level
of being off, Like you know how you gotta do
something to do with your bad.

Speaker 6 (18:17):
Yeah, if you're gonna do if you're gonna be super
offy off off, I.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Was way into another way. He got to the level
of he's just he's just having a good time at
that point, you know what I'm saying. So, and I mean,
we got the highest views, we got the highest come
and the.

Speaker 7 (18:29):
Good thing is what you did after I feel like
because then we got to see you taking vocal lessons.

Speaker 6 (18:33):
Yeah, we got to see you drinking tea.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
And guess what got the rebound? We just released money
Everywhere video for rs VP today see exclusive and we're
gonna give you guys the exclusive video.

Speaker 6 (18:45):
Oh I cannot wait to see this exclusive video.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Right well listen, oh well we were.

Speaker 7 (18:53):
Yeah, let's talk to some listeners. Right now, we're talking
about social media. This is about last night. But now
we want to take it to y'all. Do you feel
like one of the keys to being successful in a
relationship is to stay off social media? What if your
significant other was like, get off, I don't know what.

Speaker 6 (19:09):
What is ray J doing stretching?

Speaker 8 (19:11):
He's what he is shimming and stretching with his legs.

Speaker 7 (19:13):
I wish people could see he got a cramp in
his back. Okay, eight, I did two ninety two fifty
one fifty. We're gonna stretch while you got no.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
Dance.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Okay, yeah, going going way up with Angela yee ye.

Speaker 6 (19:33):
Ray Jay is here.

Speaker 7 (19:33):
So today it is ray Up with Angela yee all
week long, yes, and we are all week long as Friday, No, I.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Mean all We were setting up for the next week,
talking to micros, doing a big party tonight for the
congratulations of the one week and next week we're gonna
set the tone.

Speaker 8 (19:49):
Are you gonna come back and guest co host?

Speaker 1 (19:51):
Oh? Yeah, I think I should do Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Okay, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

Speaker 7 (19:58):
All right, So right now we are doing about last
night and we're talking about whether or not social media
is the devil when it comes to relationships. We were
saying this because Jasmine and I were at a bar
and we were talking to our bartender and he was
telling us that the reason his marriage is so successful
for eighteen years is because he doesn't have a social
media page.

Speaker 6 (20:19):
Yes, but ray J is.

Speaker 7 (20:20):
Saying that if your marriage is gonna fail, it's gonna
fail regardless, right or your relationship, and you got to
be a g about it.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Like you know, if you don't want to ask the
question because you don't want to know the answer, you
got to shake that off get to the answer. You
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 16 (20:35):
Eighteen years they were married, so when they got married,
there was no social social media.

Speaker 6 (20:39):
So they just stayed off of it.

Speaker 16 (20:40):
Yeah, but he did have my Space, he said, he
did have my Space, and he does have an Instagram
page for his dog and his plans we can see.

Speaker 14 (20:46):
So that's that.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Those are the pages where he gets to do.

Speaker 6 (20:49):
What is a distraction. I'm not gonna lie one day.
Ray J had an issue with me on social.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Media a couple of times though, probably because we family
and I know you did, and because of the freaking
Fridays and what was it about?

Speaker 2 (21:02):
It?

Speaker 1 (21:02):
It was about it was about Freaky Friday when I
was playing around, when I was like, I was like, Yo,
I'm flywing y'all out for the weekend. All that stuff
right around. It was because it was a skick because
I'll be on tagged all the time, so I'll be
doing my skit. Nobody be on tag So then I'm like, damn,
y'all took one piece one piece of it. And then
I'm like, I'm gonna fly you out and we're gonna
hang out. We're gonna chill. It's gonna be platonic like

(21:23):
so like and then and then that platonically that's what
was was It was I was joking, but then Charlemagne goes,
why he's solicitening women? I'm like, bro, that is it?
Like you know what I'm saying. So y'all was really
but y'all recover from it.

Speaker 6 (21:37):
Oh, it never has long term problems with anybody.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
It was we always good, Like I could be mad
right now and then I'm happy, like right now, Razie.

Speaker 8 (21:46):
You've never got mad at any of our stories either.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Right at the jazz, Yeah, I did. I didn't know
I did recently.

Speaker 13 (21:51):
What do we do?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
It was one where I commented on it. It was
about I think it was something about the and it
was like I wanted these things and it was totally naughty,
and some of somebody gave y'all some stuff and it
was in detail, and I was like, something about that.

Speaker 7 (22:09):
Okay, he remembers all this too, you know what said
it was. He's over here drawings on that paper and
he takes notes.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
Well yeah, well yeah, and I take picture notes, you know, because.

Speaker 8 (22:19):
I got drawing pictures.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
It's not even worse because but I.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
Have I have, I have international partners, so that is right,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (22:25):
All right, Well, right about last night, call us up
eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. We're talking
about social media? Will it ruin your relationship?

Speaker 6 (22:34):
See?

Speaker 7 (22:35):
Look need the bpr if MHD one New York iHeart
radio station. Yes, it's way up with Angela Yee. It's
Friday and Jasmine.

Speaker 6 (22:43):
Brand is here with me.

Speaker 8 (22:44):
I am here, Happy Friday.

Speaker 7 (22:46):
It's time for that yet my favorite yes segment of course,
because you can go to the jazzmin brand dot com.
We get some of our stories from off there.

Speaker 8 (22:53):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
So let's talk about Drake. He is betting almost a.

Speaker 7 (22:56):
Million dollars on the Super Bowl nine hundred and sixty
five thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (23:00):
And if he wins all of his bets, I mean,
how likely is that?

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Though?

Speaker 6 (23:03):
He could make four point five million dollars.

Speaker 8 (23:07):
That's insane.

Speaker 6 (23:08):
Are you betting?

Speaker 1 (23:09):
No, I'm not.

Speaker 8 (23:10):
What's the most money you ever won in a bet?

Speaker 7 (23:13):
The most I've ever won is about twenty five hundred dollars. Okay,
that's good, it's very happy.

Speaker 8 (23:18):
Yes, good.

Speaker 6 (23:19):
And I only spent I think I spent about twenty dollars.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
Now, that's amazing.

Speaker 6 (23:23):
There was and then guess what I did left after that?

Speaker 8 (23:28):
That's hard.

Speaker 6 (23:29):
That is for people to do.

Speaker 8 (23:30):
It's easy for me.

Speaker 13 (23:31):
Easy.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
I'm out of here. I was like, I won.

Speaker 6 (23:33):
I was like, because you know, some people like, wow,
I want that. Let me see if I could win
some more.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
I was like, nope, my map, not me.

Speaker 12 (23:38):
Girl.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (23:39):
So as you guys are betting, just and I think
it's a safer thing to do is to spread your
bets out so something's gonna hit.

Speaker 8 (23:45):
Yeah, and let's not let's be responsible with our betting guys. Okay.

Speaker 7 (23:48):
And speaking of money, fifty cent said he still gets
paid a million dollars to perform even though he hasn't
put out an album in almost a decade.

Speaker 8 (23:55):
That's a lot of money.

Speaker 7 (23:56):
He said, He's getting like nine hundred thousand to a
million dollars. That's what he told Board recently. He said,
the coolest thing we create in America is celebrities. If
you see Lebron James fan based internationally, you'll argue, why
is he staying here?

Speaker 6 (24:08):
He's that big internationally.

Speaker 7 (24:09):
For the most part, I can't speak for everybody, but
the international side of the game is different. I get
the attention that I went from music when I won it,
and then he said he just went out and toured
forty five countries and everywhere.

Speaker 6 (24:20):
Was sold out.

Speaker 12 (24:21):
Wow.

Speaker 7 (24:21):
I actually, back in the day when I used to
work for Eminem, was on tour with Eminem and fifty
cent really yeah, and when I tell you, they would
go it was amazing.

Speaker 8 (24:31):
International crowds are different, right.

Speaker 7 (24:33):
It wasn't internationally in the United States, but I will
say it was like a well oiled machine. Yeah, you know,
shout out to Curtis Battle, who ran everything production wise.
So everywhere we went, the stage was set up, the
sound was ready, the lighting was.

Speaker 8 (24:45):
It's so much behind the scenes.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
It is like a machine.

Speaker 7 (24:48):
Yeah, and they make so much money off of merch
at those stadium shows. No, all right, Now, DJ Khaled
has reunited with def JM, and he announced the news
during a press conference in Miami yesterday. Shout out to Jenney.
She was like, are you going to Kalid's press conference?
I knew nothing of it, but here is what he said.

Speaker 18 (25:06):
Okay, well, I'm bringing my challenge and we the best
and DJ Cavin to death Jam Records. But not only that,
shout out to Sir Lucian Grain, but you know, also
giving me a major role in the Universal Music Group
as a global creative consultant.

Speaker 6 (25:27):
Okay, Khalid is getting all the bags. That's all I
have to say.

Speaker 8 (25:32):
He keeps recreating himself.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
M hm.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
He's been having a time.

Speaker 7 (25:35):
He got We the Best Day and Khalid Khalid Day,
and he got the keys to the city.

Speaker 16 (25:41):
Remember he took over Snapchat and made Snapchat. He became
a Snapchat star of him.

Speaker 6 (25:46):
Yes, and he could get everybody.

Speaker 7 (25:47):
He was the only person because jay Z don't play
with that Papa Razzi or anybody filming him.

Speaker 6 (25:51):
But at all cal it was like Beyonce jay Z
over here, yep, all right.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
Now.

Speaker 7 (25:55):
Def Dam has also signed a band of NFT will
characters to its roster entry NFTs aren't dead, So the
Whales is a virtual band made up of these NFT
Whale characters and who's who a musical talent will be involved.
According to deaf Dam, they have not yet announced the
musicians behind the project. But this all has to do

(26:15):
with this whole tech company and it's a community grown
avatar group and that's it.

Speaker 6 (26:21):
Deaf Dam is doing it.

Speaker 8 (26:22):
It's really I feel like this might be the future
of what music is going to look like. And I'm
kind of scared. Why because I feel.

Speaker 6 (26:29):
Like real life people, you know, real life people behind it.

Speaker 8 (26:34):
Yes, but I feel like real life artists are going
to be competing with NFT artists.

Speaker 7 (26:39):
Okay, well get witted or get left behind, baby, and
it just Elba says that he stopped calling himself a
black actor because it put him in a box. He said,
of course, I'm a member of the black community. You say,
a prominent one. But when I go to America, I'm
a prominent member of the British community. Oh UK's in
the house. If we spent half the time not talking

(26:59):
about the differences, but the similarities between the entire planet
would have a shift and the way we deal with
each other. Racism should be a topic for discussion. Racism
is very real, but from my perspective, it's only as
powerful as you allow it to be. I stopped to
describe myself as a black actor when I realized, to
put me in a box.

Speaker 6 (27:16):
We've got to grow, We've got to Our skin is
no more than that.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
It's just skin.

Speaker 7 (27:19):
Rant over and then he went on to say, as
you get up the ladder, you get asked what it's
like to be the first black to do this or that. Well,
it's the same as it would be if I were white.
It's the first time for me. I don't want to
be the first black. I'm the first Idrius.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
I don't like it.

Speaker 6 (27:34):
I know you don't.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
I knew you weren't.

Speaker 12 (27:35):
Ye.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
That's why I did it.

Speaker 8 (27:36):
The statement that I don't like is the whole.

Speaker 16 (27:41):
You get asked what it's like to be the first
black to do this or that, Well, it's the same
as if it were if I were white. That's not true, okay.
And then also from my perspective, it's only as powerful
as you allow to be. That's not how racism works
or exists. And you can have this perspective of it's
not about race, but you walk outside and people see
a black man. Okay, sorry, let's talk more about its

(28:01):
all right, And that is your yee t. When we
come back, it's time for you to call up and
tell us a sexy secrets. And this is the part
where you don't have to say your name and there's
no judgment. It's anonymous eight hundred two nine two fifty
one fifty.

Speaker 2 (28:16):

Speaker 11 (28:58):
You might be dudes in.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Power five point was.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Cold to hot, and then I went from hot to squishy,
on from squishy to like, so I held on. You
know what I'm saying, Okay, I can't let go.

Speaker 8 (29:26):
It was good.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
It was good, and then at her at the peaking point.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
She's like, oh my god, like.

Speaker 7 (29:37):
He didn't really say it all the way okay, but
I didn't get the list where it said that word.
But okay, yeah, so what happened she I know, I mean,
she let it all go, she let what she let
it all go on me, you everything she had and
so it was a mound.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
And so with the mound, I'm like, I ain't never
really seen like a woman's poop. Yeah, deification, not a
grown woman, you know what I'm saying. And so it
was like, yo, so smell you know what. At the
end of it, when it was when the explosion was happening,
I could kind of hear the kind of feel it.
But at the end of the day, it was so
much on me. I didn't want it to roll on

(30:16):
the bed. So I got up and you know that game,
you know the game. I had to limbo its and
wait till I get to the shower because it would
have went in events.

Speaker 8 (30:25):
So he held her poop on his chest and.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
Hit the shower and hit and I just I don't
know how I got to that story.

Speaker 8 (30:33):

lot of love. Like she gave me a lot of love.
I gave her a lot of love. Never again, like
in that intense format.

Speaker 6 (30:56):
Am I allowed to say booty goons?

Speaker 16 (30:58):

Speaker 1 (30:58):
You make that word up to Can you please tell
them you made it?

Speaker 6 (31:00):

Speaker 19 (31:31):
Then I went out there to finally meet him.

Speaker 1 (31:33):

I like it because it worked, right, all right, that's
cute man off Facebook, because if you would have told people, they.

Speaker 6 (32:01):
Probably would have said he was crazy.

Speaker 7 (32:03):
All right, it's time to tell us a sexy secret

Speaker 19 (32:10):
Ooh okay, they's no judgment, right, no judgment. Okay. Well
my secret is is that like a lot of people.

Speaker 6 (32:20):

Speaker 19 (32:23):
And then on top of that, like it's so bad
that I can't control it.

Speaker 6 (32:28):
Well, give me an example, like.

Speaker 19 (32:32):
One person isn't enough, and then one time isn't enough,
Like I'll end up in one day probably three or
four people.

Speaker 6 (32:40):
Okay, And are they people you know? Is it somebody
you might just meet in between?

Speaker 1 (32:46):

See the soft How come you are in relationships?

Speaker 7 (33:34):
Then no judgment. I'm just wondering if you don't want
to be monogamous.

Speaker 13 (33:39):
I do want to be monogamous, but it's just like
where I live, it's a lot of women and then
they like they don't have many men, so I kind
of always get in a position where I'm being shared, shared, shared,
hre so like.

Speaker 6 (33:51):
Yeah, have you ever gotten caught?

Speaker 14 (33:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 13 (33:55):
And then like it's it's just like they'll know you

Are you carry shots on top of your laptop?

Speaker 1 (35:24):
You know, it's it's you know, it's black history, and
you know, and I want to talk about black history,
and I want to talk about how I represented Black
history in this situation. Well, I just represented the Black Panther. Okay.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
I love the movie.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
So I had a meeting with with Ya, and I
had to bring in some stuff and I'm gonna keep
it short because it's positives. And so I didn't know
if he was gonna meet with me with that mask
on right and right It's like, how me and you're
gonna have a one on one heart the heart if
you walk in with the stocking mask and he's been
wearing that mask he was at the time, and I'm
wearing it. I'm like, I don't know. If he do it,
then I'm in a weird position because I'm I still

(36:00):
have to, you know, talk like do you know what
I'm gonna do. I'm gonna wear me a mask, and
I'm gonna wear one better than his.

Speaker 6 (36:08):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
So I went to my garage and I found Halloween.
I seen my Black Panther mask and I'm like, okay,
and it lights up. So I marked it up made
it look like I've been through war. Put the mask on,
put a white like black panther suit on, oka like
a superhero, and walked in the airport and in the
meet in the meeting. The meeting was in the airport.

Speaker 11 (38:39):

Speaker 1 (38:41):

Speaker 14 (38:41):

Speaker 1 (38:41):

Speaker 7 (39:09):
But it's called and in real life. And here's what
you have to say about her relationship with little Uzzi.

Speaker 4 (39:14):
I love the way you talk about him.

Speaker 8 (39:15):
Yeah, he's a great man.

Speaker 20 (39:16):
He's a great I could say Uzzi is a great men,
no matter how the Internet tried to paint Uzi.

Speaker 2 (39:22):

Speaker 20 (39:24):
Artist artist, he's so like yes, he so inspiring, like
he got to work every night, he had work.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
Right now.

Speaker 20 (39:29):
I'm so lucky and fortunate to have somebody like him
because he's so inspiring like he he no matter what
he going through he's going to work like you know,
like and that's so when I see him in his bag,
I'd be.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Like, I gotta get in my bag.

Speaker 10 (39:42):
That's cute.

Speaker 6 (39:45):
Love women together for a minute.

Speaker 19 (39:47):
Wow.

Speaker 16 (39:47):
I listened to most of that podcast, most of the
episode this morning, and she has a really inspiring story
about how she grew up in the hood and sixteen
sixteen siblings, siblings and great.

Speaker 7 (39:59):
Story city girls up all right now, Yo got up
and glory there they are.

Speaker 12 (40:05):
Yo.

Speaker 7 (40:06):
Gotti and Glirilla have responded to reports that somebody threw
water on her because she didn't perform. She was scheduled
for a walkthrough and people were upset about that, and
a local promoter shared decided the story. He said he
paid Glorilla is labeled thirty thousand dollars CMG to have
her perform at the club, and he made it known
that he's expecting a full refund and he said he

(40:27):
did not pay.

Speaker 6 (40:28):
For a hosting or a walk through. She was supposed
to perform live.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
Oh right now.

Speaker 7 (40:32):
Yo Gotti has refuted those claims, and Glorilla too. Glorilla
tweeted out, ain't no spit on ish asked that ho
ho her base build though.

Speaker 6 (40:43):
Oh and yo Gotti, let people know.

Speaker 7 (40:46):
Come on now, you're not paying her no thirty grand
for a performance that don't even make sense. He did
some of those laughing crying emosis into thirty K. To perform,
you must have little glow, not big glow.

Speaker 1 (40:59):
Noel song behind the DJ move maybe.

Speaker 8 (41:04):
Like that's you know, maybe it was a miscommunication.

Speaker 7 (41:06):
No, you know what, Sometimes promoters try to book you
for something thinking that they could have the DJ make
you get on the mic, and then next thing you know,
you're performing okay, because then you feel like y J
is talking about this one is me.

Speaker 8 (41:17):
J likes her.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
Yeah, he does pop popping. You would think I was
the chiro practice.

Speaker 6 (41:22):
You need a chiropractor, you said for your back.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
Ray J.

Speaker 6 (41:26):
Need you feel better?

Speaker 1 (41:28):
Yes, a right, feel better because I took an herbal
all and that keeps me focused.

Speaker 6 (41:32):
All right, good says.

Speaker 7 (41:34):
It is going to be honored as Women of the
Year at the twenty twenty three Billboard Women Music Awards.

Speaker 6 (41:40):
Congratulations to her.

Speaker 7 (41:41):
She did what now she's being honored Women of the Year,
Oh the Billboard Women and words.

Speaker 6 (41:47):
Yes she is.

Speaker 1 (41:47):
I love says that she played my girlfriend and what
in uh insecure. I think you're talking about it.

Speaker 8 (41:56):
Yeah, it was like a sub sub storyline going on.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
It was remember that, Yeah, we was we was we
was ratchet like, and then we was we was fighting,
and then it was a lot of people in there
can be. It was a lot of start, but she
was one girlfriend I love.

Speaker 6 (42:09):
First of all, My favorite song on her new album
is kill Bill.

Speaker 8 (42:12):
That is my song.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
Really you know that song? And Billy's my friend, so
it's like not Billy killing I'm like.

Speaker 8 (42:18):
The first intro song where she's kind of like rapping.

Speaker 1 (42:21):
Oh yeah, I love that.

Speaker 6 (42:22):
Super talented and shout out to say she's beautiful.

Speaker 7 (42:25):
All right now, Shannon Sharp thinks that Scottie Pippens Junior
should demand a trade from the Lakers and all this
is because you know the story about Malie Beasley and
Larci Pippen his mom.

Speaker 6 (42:36):
Here is what Shannon Sharp had to say.

Speaker 17 (42:38):
If I'm Scotty people junior, y'all want to.

Speaker 2 (42:39):
Trade because you know, oh yeah, yeah, I thought you
meant from spot off the corner on the court whatever
the courter is tour, but he got to go I
wanted divorce.

Speaker 1 (42:54):
What happened? I mean, you know, Larsa. I didn't even
Larca Pippen as a as a son.

Speaker 7 (42:59):
Scott Yeah, he's he's playing on the Lakers with Malie Easley,
who she had dated.

Speaker 1 (43:05):
But larc was I hate, I don't know. I don't
even want to say what I thought.

Speaker 12 (43:09):
I thought that was his thought.

Speaker 8 (43:12):
You thought Larsa was Scotty's daughter.

Speaker 6 (43:15):
I think so wife.

Speaker 7 (43:17):
They were married, but now she's dating Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan's.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
So wait, so okay, so that's Scottie pipp seniors ex wife. Yeah, Larsa.

Speaker 7 (43:30):
Yeah, all right, well that is here, ye te When
we come back, it's Black History Month, and so we
are going to celebrate Black History Month with ra J.
Of course he is historical on Ray Up with Angela.

Speaker 2 (43:41):
Yee Up with Angela is on. Yeah, she's back at
it bringing up with Angela Yee is on.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
Yeah, Ray Up.

Speaker 7 (43:58):
Up, way up with Angela. Asmin Brand is here with me.
It is the first week of my new show. Congratulation
got sound effects we don't yet don't falling apart.

Speaker 1 (44:10):
That was my sound effect for you.

Speaker 7 (44:12):
Ray J is here in this Black History Month and
I was just talking to ray Ja about uh, the
companies that he has created that are worth tons of money.
For instance, you know, ray Ja's headphones company is worth
over one hundred million dollars and he has.

Speaker 8 (44:29):
He has them all right now?

Speaker 1 (44:31):
Yeah, I know, I like me, but I see I
see over the ears and I can't wait. The magic
I'm creating for the custom ones right now is going
to be magical.

Speaker 6 (44:40):
I cannot wait.

Speaker 1 (44:41):
Oh my god, pillows on your ears? Well, what else
is nice?

Speaker 8 (44:44):
And so what else is ray Ja involved in in
terms of now?

Speaker 1 (44:47):
He sold Scooty bikes and brought it back right yeah,
we saw sold it to a publicly traded company called
loop Share out of Canada bike sharing company. Usually when
you when you sell your company, they let you promoting
market for another two or three years to make sure
you keep it. Used to standing for him, but they
went other ways and COVID came and then they kind
of fell into a weird position. So I'm like, my

(45:08):
goal is for schooly Bike to be successful overall in
the long term. So giving it back to me, I'm like, okay,
brought it back all right? All right?

Speaker 6 (45:15):
Then you also are launching a digital network.

Speaker 1 (45:19):
Yes, so I'm launching a couple of digital networks right now.
We're in business with Dash Network and we we kind
of kicked off the other OTT platform that's booming right
now too. I won't say no names because we're not
at odds, but we're not. We're just not we're not
working together, right, So we just started, you know, Okay,

(45:39):
so make another like one of one of those kind
of things. Okay, so it's called the Dash network, yes, okay,
and there's there in the Tronics network. But you'll I'll
let you guys know. It's like it's war.

Speaker 2 (45:51):
It's war.

Speaker 1 (45:52):
It's good war. It's war over morale, morale, integrity. Like
I'm shooting these shows that has a lot of fights
and a lot of like bloe, show me a teaser.
It's worse than that. And I've been I'm doing my job.
I'm producing the content. I'm that's what that's what the
deal is. But I'm getting overwhelmed with with what with

(46:12):
just the dark side of it. And if we don't
have if we don't have something on the other side
to help these people, then that's where I'm having this
back and forth flight problem with my partners. And look,
if it's gonna be a problem it's gonna be a
problem because I'm a stand up for the people. That's
that ship I should stand up for, and that's the
people that's fighting and giving, you know, fighting for their life,

(46:33):
you know what I'm saying, and to become something or
wherever their dreams want to be there fighting for it.
We have to have some kind of positive substance.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
At the end of the road.

Speaker 7 (46:41):
It can't just be just be exploiting people, right, send
them back off into the world because.

Speaker 1 (46:48):
It's a great It's like this is a must see,
like this must see stuff. But then what happens afterwards? Yeah,
I'm trying to create a foundation that gives them hope
for after and they need somebody to help fix their
life after exactly. But but when you have a board
and you have partners, some people you get you can
get voted off, voted out of the decision. Like, listen,
we understand what you like, but this is what we're

(47:09):
gonna do. And eventually I'm gonna have to either stand
up for for my integrity or but.

Speaker 6 (47:15):
You have the power to do that.

Speaker 1 (47:17):
I feel like they need you. Well, me and Rasby
are trying to figure it out. But he's trying to go.
He's going big a little bit, so what kind of.

Speaker 4 (47:29):
How do you kind?

Speaker 1 (47:30):
He's my boy, and he brought me in on the
network and he gave us these budgets and the money. Eventually,
the money starts to become irrelevant to a long term
substance play. Like if you look at all the shows
we've done, it's just been a constant like yeah, because
I'm like emotionally drained.

Speaker 8 (47:52):
You're giving You're giving us a lot of yourself today.

Speaker 1 (47:54):
You are j has been doing a radio marathon.

Speaker 13 (47:57):
This money.

Speaker 6 (47:58):
By the way, well, because I want to be on
the six A show.

Speaker 1 (48:02):
We know, we know, I want to create his own network. Yes,
rival show. I mean the network is a network, but
I want I want a radio show and I want
to just learn from you guys until THEA is like okay,
so right after this on next Tuesday, you going in
and there that show room?

Speaker 7 (48:18):
Are we live?

Speaker 12 (48:19):
Right?

Speaker 17 (48:20):
That would be nice?

Speaker 1 (48:21):
That would be nice.

Speaker 11 (48:21):
Man.

Speaker 7 (48:22):
So yeah, so are you didn't miss anything with your
business nures? For Black History Month, I want to make
sure we are celebrating Ray j Oh.

Speaker 16 (48:28):
Thank you because you are a black man. You are
in business, You are our entrepreneur. You are very funny,
but you are serious about your business man.

Speaker 1 (48:34):
You I think the funniness and how we like to
turn up it gets it gets over it gets overshadowed
with the business. And that's good though, because being underestimated
gives us way more power. But the numbers don't lie.
And we were over three hundred million in revenue, one
hundred million dollar valuation. It's hardware, so it's different from
an OTT that'll give you ten x twenty x multiples.

Speaker 7 (48:56):
Right, So does the raycon the most when it comes
to money? Has that been the most successful financially for you?
Out of all your ventures, that's been the most financially?

Speaker 1 (49:05):
Well, we the most money. One of my companies has
made three hundred million. Yeah, that's that's that's the most.
But my but my, my TV and entertainment still brings
in the most for me personally as rays.

Speaker 9 (49:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
Yeah, because you know we do so many TV shows
and you know we have back end deals on all
of it, so for me, I can make more there.
But overall, my company is definitely like way in the clouds.

Speaker 8 (49:32):
It's just you know, you got to it's way up.

Speaker 1 (49:35):
Here is definitely way up. But humbly humbly. We've been
We're a six year company, so give us twelve years.
Give us ten years, like when you starting companies and
growing them and showing growth like this, give yourself ten
years now.

Speaker 7 (49:45):
What do you think about when people get upset when
someone has a black owned business and then they sell
the business, like we saw people giving backlash for quality control,
and then when Shane Moist your sold a lot of
different black owned companies, people get really upset like, oh
they had this, tell their publishing people get mad about that?

Speaker 6 (50:01):
Were your thoughts?

Speaker 1 (50:03):
I'm like, what people are getting mad?

Speaker 8 (50:05):
The public, the people that are not in the business,
We don't understand. That's you to explain it.

Speaker 1 (50:10):
Yes, well I've seen p comment on it. He did,
and I felt like it's just been I'm excited about
the deal. Like he added in he responded to like
a hater or hiss And I think that's just like
you know, you got comments, You're gonna have negative comments
and then you gonna have good comments, right, ying and
yang right, And I just think you just got to
block the negative out.

Speaker 16 (50:30):
How do you feel about people sell their companies? You
are you going to sell some of your companies at
some point.

Speaker 1 (50:35):
When it's right, if the right with the right partner,
on the right time, but that their companies are coming.
Ain't my money?

Speaker 6 (50:40):
Yeah, so he seld Scootie Banks and then brought it back.

Speaker 1 (50:42):
Yes, yes, and that was for stock deal with money
up front too, you know. So yeah, seventeen I don'ton't
want to say.

Speaker 7 (50:49):
All right, well that was Black History Month featuring Ray
j A. I want to be the first black man
to smoke a blunting the boardroom. Okay, when we come back,
we actually have an interview okay, that with Chicle and
Melanie and so the two of them stop, I you
know them.

Speaker 1 (51:06):
Ry j.

Speaker 7 (51:08):
Yes, yes, all right, Well you guys are going to
really enjoy this ahead of Valentine's Day on Way Up
with Angela.

Speaker 2 (51:14):
Yee, Way Up with Angela Ye, what's at this?

Speaker 7 (51:22):
Way Up with Angela Yee nationwide? Feels good to say that,
and Jasmine Brandy's hair co hosting with.

Speaker 8 (51:26):
Me What's Up?

Speaker 6 (51:27):
And we have some very special guests from New York
where I'm from. Milani and Chickle.

Speaker 1 (51:32):
Yes, you.

Speaker 8 (51:38):
Have an own sound.

Speaker 6 (51:41):
I appreciate you for joining me. This means a lot.

Speaker 7 (51:43):
Everybody's been watching you guys, on the YouTube and now
you have a podcast too, that's your reality.

Speaker 4 (51:49):
Yes, I'm so excited to be here. Thank you for
having you know, the nationwide.

Speaker 1 (51:57):
We can go up there.

Speaker 7 (52:00):
But you know, people love your guys relationship to see
things play out. Now, we're going to go through some backstory,
of course, but then we have a game that we
want to play. A games all right, So you guys
are both from New York, Brooklyn and Brooklyn and Queens, right, Okay,
we're Brooklyn and Queens and then the two of you
and you know, and this is just backstory just for people.

Speaker 6 (52:20):
The way that you guys hooked up was do your
tattoo artists? Is that correct?

Speaker 4 (52:23):
You have a mutual friend, your tattoo artist be doing your.

Speaker 6 (52:26):
Researchause I want her to know.

Speaker 7 (52:29):
I mean, obviously we know who you are, but we
want to make sure everybody else knows. And we're just
going through this so that we can get to what
we really want to get.

Speaker 3 (52:36):
The Tea Tea allowed them underground, then allowed them then
by telling them the party was lit when it wasn't.

Speaker 4 (52:45):
And I knew what I was doing because I didn't
want them to go to another party. Also, chat.

Speaker 1 (52:51):
I left like a hour later. Okay.

Speaker 7 (52:53):
Now, normally when people they both have something else going on,
it's very rare that you find somebody who don't have, like,
you know, a whole raster or somebody else is dealing with.
So what was the situation where you're both free and clear?
Did somebody have to break up with somebody?

Speaker 6 (53:07):
Did y'all have to?

Speaker 17 (53:12):
So we didn't know each other when we it wasn't
we weren't supposed to meet.

Speaker 21 (53:16):
That wasn't like a thing. But then we called each
other's vib and we started viobbing with each other. And then, uh, yeah, I.

Speaker 6 (53:22):
Didn't actually.

Speaker 21 (53:25):
Trying to read somewhere else. I thought I was doing
a good job. Yeah, so we wasn't really you know,
trying to be definitely how to take.

Speaker 4 (53:33):
People off his roster?

Speaker 16 (53:35):
At what point did you know that you wanted to
stop dealing with everybody else and just deal with her?

Speaker 21 (53:39):
I started realizing I liked Millennia around me a lot,
and we was just friends. But how do you I
didn't know how to tell other women that this is
just my friend. And we didn't do nothing or nothing
like that. And then at a point it was like,
thank god, I didn't tell them. I was ever with
Mellenny because he was cheating this whole time, right, yeah,
cheatingh but did you even though it was multiple I don't.

Speaker 6 (53:58):
Know to look at you.

Speaker 4 (54:01):
We got him on the back against the law.

Speaker 21 (54:03):
This and then we started, uh getting intimate with each other.
That's when I was.

Speaker 17 (54:10):
Like, you know, this is this is the one.

Speaker 1 (54:12):
All right.

Speaker 7 (54:12):
Now, we're going to ask you to step out of
the room for a second, and I'm gonna tell you why.
So we're gonna lane some questions and then we want
to see if you agree with her answers. But you
can't hear her answers until you come back in with it.
I'm excited, excited, all right, Melanie. So you're going to
answer these questions and then we're going to see if
he agrees.

Speaker 6 (54:32):
Okay, okay. Have you ever had a fake argument that
turned real?

Speaker 13 (54:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (54:39):
And give us a little.

Speaker 4 (54:40):
DT trying to remember the.

Speaker 3 (54:43):
Damn all our content is argument sometimes, so sometimes you know,
we get really into the argument and then we carry
that energy over past it and we just still be
mad at.

Speaker 4 (54:53):
Each other for like three days.

Speaker 6 (54:55):
Is there one that was memorable?

Speaker 4 (54:57):
No that I don't have one that's memorable.

Speaker 6 (54:59):
Who wants to have sex more.

Speaker 8 (55:00):
Chickla, easy one, who's more adventurous in the bedroom.

Speaker 1 (55:06):
He likes his nipples, So maybe.

Speaker 4 (55:10):
That was That's a tough question. I'm going to say,
you know what, I'm going to say, me even.

Speaker 3 (55:15):
Though we don't do it that often, not not like
we don't branch out that of thing like, but it's
me that initiates theF that like. All right, maybe let
me let me play in sometimes a little bit, get
out of the basic bit, all right. Who spends more
money Chickla? Well, he spends more money on bigger purchases.

(55:37):
I spend more money on little things like what so
like Amazon? I have like twenty orders on Amazon for
no reason.

Speaker 1 (55:43):
I got crazy.

Speaker 8 (55:45):
Who is more disciplined when it's time to work?

Speaker 4 (55:47):
That's cheekler he is?

Speaker 13 (55:50):
Now?

Speaker 6 (55:50):
Who is more judgmental?

Speaker 4 (55:51):
Chickla?

Speaker 6 (55:54):
Al Right?

Speaker 1 (55:55):
Is it ever okay to lie?

Speaker 4 (55:57):
That is a good question. It depends.

Speaker 3 (56:00):
I'm gonna say yes, because it depends on the circumstances,
like I'm gonna lie to surprise somebody.

Speaker 6 (56:05):
Okay, all right, let's call it back in and let's
see if he gets these right.

Speaker 4 (56:08):
Let's see.

Speaker 3 (56:09):
One thing he hates is like these questions like this
because he could never predict my answers.

Speaker 4 (56:15):
He's like, yo, I switch it up so many times.

Speaker 21 (56:17):
Oh yeah, I ain't never going. The lady outside was
holding the TV's I don't read your lips.

Speaker 2 (56:22):
I can't read.

Speaker 7 (56:25):
That's funny, all right, so let's talk about it. The
top ten answers are on the board.

Speaker 2 (56:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (56:33):
Have you ever had a fake argument that turned real?

Speaker 1 (56:36):
Ye? All right? Explain which one was it?

Speaker 9 (56:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 17 (56:39):
I don't remember.

Speaker 8 (56:40):
You have a memorable one?

Speaker 9 (56:41):
Uh?

Speaker 17 (56:42):
Did we do it all the time?

Speaker 21 (56:43):
She said, we do it all the time where it's
not even real, it has nothing to do with us,
and it just it goes into damn.

Speaker 17 (56:51):
Did you explain one?

Speaker 19 (56:52):
No?

Speaker 1 (56:52):
I didn't.

Speaker 7 (56:52):
I said, we'll find arguing and the first when you
guys argue, I'm just curious.

Speaker 17 (57:00):
Oh, Millennie, I don't apologize, Okay?

Speaker 1 (57:03):
Is that true?

Speaker 3 (57:05):
I apologize not because she does it for us. I
do it for myself because I I don't like.

Speaker 16 (57:10):
I don't like that.

Speaker 4 (57:11):
Yeah, man, mad holding that for too long? Like you know,
I'm sorry.

Speaker 21 (57:14):
I'm apologizing now because it's saying that she likes. But
I don't believe in apologies.

Speaker 6 (57:18):
How could you know, if you mess up, you can't
just say sorry.

Speaker 2 (57:21):
It doesn't do nothing for me. Okay, thank you somebody?

Speaker 17 (57:25):
No, ye, yeah, I'm saying.

Speaker 21 (57:26):
I'm saying like if if somebody did saying, they come
to apologize, like, yo, it's all right, Like we got
It's just that I'm sorry, Paul, like we gotta have
a conversation about it.

Speaker 17 (57:34):
But I'm sorry. I'm like, this might happen again. So
you just wasting I want.

Speaker 6 (57:38):
To say I'm sorry again.

Speaker 17 (57:39):
Yeah, just you know, like I apologize, but yo, this
happens again. I'm apologizing right now for.

Speaker 8 (57:44):
Anyone think that.

Speaker 6 (57:45):
Way you mean either, it's very unique.

Speaker 4 (57:48):
Struggled with struggled with that.

Speaker 21 (57:50):
I'm like, I don't like, no shirts, i don't like
because it might happen again. I'm apologizing for the same
thing over and over all.

Speaker 6 (57:56):
Right, who wants to have sex more?

Speaker 13 (57:58):
Oh?

Speaker 14 (57:58):
Me?

Speaker 6 (57:59):
So she said, okay, that's correct.

Speaker 4 (58:02):
Was that the second question?

Speaker 6 (58:03):
You guys are two for two right now?

Speaker 8 (58:05):
Who is more adventurous in the bedroom?

Speaker 17 (58:09):
The same?

Speaker 1 (58:10):
That's not what she said to me.

Speaker 6 (58:12):
That's okay, you don't make sense.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
I'm good, that makes no sense.

Speaker 17 (58:20):
She wants to have sex less, but she's more adventurous.

Speaker 3 (58:23):
I've said that we keep it really basic, but the
moments that we do like make it a little exciting.

Speaker 4 (58:29):
It's because of me. I I what's the word I'm
looking for? I initiate it?

Speaker 6 (58:35):
Okay, you have to and then plus and we were
talking about you with your nipples and stuff.

Speaker 7 (58:44):
But they do get adventurous. What are some things that
you've done aside from the basics.

Speaker 17 (58:49):
It's not adventurous. That's why I'm here confused.

Speaker 6 (58:52):
Is not really you want to be more adventurous or.

Speaker 17 (58:54):
No, I'm nervous.

Speaker 21 (58:57):
It depends on what you mean by adventurous, because adventures
I feel like like role playing or not stuff like that.

Speaker 6 (59:03):
We don't really like.

Speaker 17 (59:06):
Role play by accident and stuff like we be there
and we just, oh, what was that voice? Do it again?

Speaker 21 (59:12):
And it'd be like just funny, like not even it's
just funny, it'd be really, how was your dad?

Speaker 17 (59:19):
Yo, there's a bathroom right there.

Speaker 2 (59:21):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (59:21):
I'll be like you guys are two for three?

Speaker 17 (59:24):
Two for three?

Speaker 6 (59:25):
Who spends more money?

Speaker 17 (59:26):
I would say she buys more stuff, but I spend more.

Speaker 1 (59:29):
We're listening exactly.

Speaker 16 (59:31):
Yeah, she makes you make bigger purchases. Yeah, but she
buys like little stuff on exactly.

Speaker 6 (59:37):
Who is more judgmental?

Speaker 2 (59:40):
Me?

Speaker 6 (59:40):
That's correct, I'm glad on passing.

Speaker 8 (59:46):
Who's more disciplined when it's time to work me?

Speaker 1 (59:49):
Okay, yeah, we were honest.

Speaker 17 (59:54):
That's what it is, right.

Speaker 7 (59:55):
Yeah, we have more with our game at Tile and
Mellenni when we come back. Let's see how well these
two really know each other. Jasmine brand is here with me.
It's way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (01:00:05):
Angela Yee is way up, the way up. Your way
up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 1 (01:00:16):
It's way up with Angela Yee on a Friday.

Speaker 7 (01:00:19):
And we have superstar couple Chicle and Melaney here and
let's see how well the two of them know each other.

Speaker 6 (01:00:25):
Let's get back into it.

Speaker 7 (01:00:27):
I saw her, You told her at a certain point
that you needed her to be more direct with you.

Speaker 17 (01:00:31):
Yeah, for sure, because I don't know what she'd be wanting.

Speaker 7 (01:00:35):
I think a lot of us as women have problems
like saying exactly what we well, I know I have.
I can't speak for everybody, but sometimes you think that
what you might might not be what he wents, and
guys getting nervous and scared and then you're like if
I say this, especially early on, yeah, I.

Speaker 21 (01:00:49):
Could tell that well her recently she said, oh, you
wouldn't want to do this, so I don't tell you nothing.

Speaker 17 (01:00:52):
I'm like, how do you know that? You just putting
that on me? And then I said, and I was
upset with that. You don't know that.

Speaker 3 (01:00:59):
I'll just be afraid of consequences of if they don't
want to do what I want to do.

Speaker 4 (01:01:02):
So I got to do it myself. Yeah, like I
wanted to get married let down. Yeah, and then I'm like.

Speaker 3 (01:01:08):
Yo, I want to get married, and I'm asking my
foot down.

Speaker 4 (01:01:11):
And then he's like, well, I don't want that. So
now I got to decide what I want to do.

Speaker 6 (01:01:15):
Because y'all had that conversation.

Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
Yeah, where are y'all with it? Now?

Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
I'm with it.

Speaker 4 (01:01:19):
I'm waiting on my brain.

Speaker 21 (01:01:21):
I'm looking at it now like because before I never
believed in marriage, and I still kind of don't believe
in it, like I don't get it, that's just me, okay.
But now I'm looking at it as a celebration of love, okay,
And that to me was different when I viewed it
that way, as in, oh, we love each other, let's
get married. It's like, now let's celebrate to why that
makes sense, like a party for why we love it dead.

(01:01:43):
But if it was for like what we're gonna be
the commitment, She's like, oh, it's for commitment. I'm like,
so we're not committed, right, ten million reasons?

Speaker 1 (01:01:48):
You know which one you want?

Speaker 17 (01:01:50):
This is a whole bunch of reasons.

Speaker 21 (01:01:52):
And I was like, if you want this for you,
let me know because then now I can think about it.
And and that's when it was different for me, like,
oh you want this? Like at first it let's just
all of us be in this wedding, like it'll be
this small. She's like, let's we just do it dinner.
Now it's oh yeah, now that I'm agreeing with her,
She's like, yeah, we're going to be in this big.

Speaker 4 (01:02:11):
And I said, if you want to, you know, sponsor
the wedding because.

Speaker 13 (01:02:17):
You asked me.

Speaker 17 (01:02:17):
You said, so, where would you want to do it?
Like what country? There we goes.

Speaker 4 (01:02:24):
The wait, wait, hold on, she said he was going
to the courthouse.

Speaker 17 (01:02:27):
She's good at what she did.

Speaker 1 (01:02:29):
You know it'd be great content, it would it would
be really That's why I'm gonna do it.

Speaker 17 (01:02:38):
Enough celebration of love?

Speaker 13 (01:02:43):
Guys?

Speaker 6 (01:02:44):
Yes, Is it ever okay to lie?

Speaker 12 (01:02:47):
Yes?

Speaker 17 (01:02:47):
Okay, I believe. She says no, but I say yes,
why why so you don't hurt somebody's feelings.

Speaker 4 (01:02:54):
That's the wrong answer.

Speaker 8 (01:02:55):
But he kind of got it right. We got your explanation.

Speaker 6 (01:02:57):
Yes, that makes sense.

Speaker 7 (01:02:59):
I mean I agree with that. And now you said
for a surprise, she said, if it was like a surprise.

Speaker 12 (01:03:03):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:03:04):
She sucks at that though, it's because I want to
tell you. I just want to tell you.

Speaker 4 (01:03:10):
I'm like, oh, I got this great, amazing thing they're
gonna love.

Speaker 17 (01:03:13):
So I want to tell you, not even I'll guess it.
And she'd be like, you got it. And I'm like,
you know, if you could have just lied right, And
she's like, wait, I could have.

Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
I could have just said no.

Speaker 6 (01:03:23):
She was like I can see her face and somebody like,
I just got you something I.

Speaker 16 (01:03:28):
Do every time you buy me something like I just
bought you stuff? Are you leave it on instant?

Speaker 13 (01:03:31):
Really?

Speaker 17 (01:03:32):
But kind I'm like, what do I don't mean, I
don't mean like a lie, lie, Like it's not like today.
She goes, oh, should I wear this? And I'm like
if that's what you want to wear.

Speaker 9 (01:03:43):
Do you like it?

Speaker 21 (01:03:44):
And I'm like, oh my god, I'm so pissed, but
you have She was I want to step on my comfort.
Zonem like, oh, if you're comfortable that, I think you
could pull it all.

Speaker 17 (01:03:50):
But I don't like it. But just because I don't
like it, don't mean it's not fire.

Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
Right, Okay, can be fire.

Speaker 6 (01:03:54):
You have an opinion, but that doesn't mean your opinion is.

Speaker 1 (01:03:58):
So if she asked you, she will to know what
you feel. Yeah, I like it, That's what I told him.

Speaker 4 (01:04:02):
I was like, yo, I'm on them on the defence.
I need help.

Speaker 21 (01:04:06):
I don't want you to like brush picked off without
last night. And we had the conversation last night. So
we come to me this morning.

Speaker 17 (01:04:12):
I'm like, we had it last night, to do it again,
and she's getting.

Speaker 13 (01:04:18):
Mad with me.

Speaker 21 (01:04:18):
I'm like, why me, I didn't do nothing. It's the
thing you wanted. I told you last night, Like you
want to interview.

Speaker 6 (01:04:25):
Great, you only got one wrong. I think that's amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:04:29):
That was all your fault.

Speaker 17 (01:04:31):
Adventurous, Oh yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:04:33):
You're adventures. She is as you said. You didn't you know,
I wanted to try certain things.

Speaker 17 (01:04:39):
I don't know what she'd be trying to try.

Speaker 6 (01:04:44):
That while she's doing her acting. Your music, yeah, so
what are we going to do with that?

Speaker 17 (01:04:50):
It's nothing.

Speaker 21 (01:04:52):
I don't want to No, no, actually, me with music,
I don't want it to be my career, Like that's
just a hobby that I ended up getting YouTube.

Speaker 4 (01:04:59):
But you like artist development Yeah, yeah, like we got.

Speaker 21 (01:05:02):
An autist Benjo, and you know, I want to help
other people have their dreams, like like if Malai wants
to be actor, let's do that.

Speaker 17 (01:05:09):
Like that's what I want to do. But I think
the reason why I like helping other people is so
I don't have to fail myself.

Speaker 7 (01:05:15):
Oh that's an interesting take on it. And so sometimes
I always feel like it's no such thing as failure.
Some things don't work the way you anticipated, but you
learn so much from it. But doesn't it feel good
when you're scared to do something and then it works.

Speaker 17 (01:05:27):
Yeah, it does. It feels amazing.

Speaker 12 (01:05:29):
Now.

Speaker 17 (01:05:29):
I didn't know that though.

Speaker 6 (01:05:30):
That's what I was telling Jasmine too the other day.

Speaker 7 (01:05:32):
I was like, when you really want to do something,
you have to go for it because the more you risk,
the better it fails when it works, right, if you
don't ever take a risk. It's not ever going to
be that feeling of like damn, I really did this.

Speaker 21 (01:05:43):
Yeah, it's always scary, but yeah, I do like to
help people, and that's why I would like to go
shuder my manage but create.

Speaker 7 (01:05:48):
All right, But we are going to have a segment

take it because I'm learning and things of that nature.
But it's a lot, and I'm not complaining about that,
but I'm like, I'm trying to make sure I take focused.

(01:13:28):
I have to graduate this year, but I want to
stay focused on my podcast because ultimately that's what I
want to do.

Speaker 7 (01:13:34):
Okay, And I think that you can always be working
on your podcast too. In between things like throughout the
course of the day, coming up with different ideas reaching
out to people. And that's something I think is a
great goal to set for yourself when you're doing a
business is make a list, sit down. Sometimes you don't
even think about who's in your network that you could
reach out to people that could be beneficial. Maybe somebody

(01:13:54):
you want to interview, Somebody that you feel like they
could somehow provide a service that could be supported for you,
someone you could use as a mentor make a list
of people and reach out to those people via email,
via text message.

Speaker 6 (01:14:06):
Every single day. You should be reaching out to different
people because you never know when something is going to hit.

Speaker 7 (01:14:10):
That way, you're preparing yourself think about strategic partnerships that
you could have. It's great that you booked that time,
and I think, like I said, time management is really important.
I have so many different ventures going on and certain
days some things take priorities. So if that means Okay,
I'm working on finishing this by the end of this year,
so I know, you know, I have Saturday from twelve

(01:14:32):
to four available, That's when I'm going to be working
on this.

Speaker 16 (01:14:35):
And also I know that you've booked a podcast space,
which you don't necessarily always have to do it.

Speaker 1 (01:14:39):
In that podcast space. You can do things from home.

Speaker 16 (01:14:41):
It doesn't have to look like what you think other
people's podcasts look like. You can kind of be creative
with what you how you want to deliver it.

Speaker 6 (01:14:49):
Right. This whole podcast startup kiss that you can get
on Amazon.

Speaker 9 (01:14:52):
I actually booked it out because I can get out
the house because my house is really comfortable. Okay, okay help,
And then I have to pay. I'm like, Okay, since
I'm paying for this, I'm not gonna waste my time.

Speaker 6 (01:15:04):
Okay, I'll tell you.

Speaker 9 (01:15:05):
I just want to I just want to tell you, Angela,
like I said, I've been following you for a long
time and I know we have to go, but you
are the truth. I can't even feel like the way
when you give advice to people like you really do
that from the goodness of your heart, and it's just
so free and I'm just like, I'm I mean, it's amazing,
and I appreciate both of you ladies just giving me

(01:15:25):
this information. And I'm so glad it is recorded because
I'm keep playing it.

Speaker 3 (01:15:28):
In my head.

Speaker 13 (01:15:30):
That's good I'm gonna reface up.

Speaker 9 (01:15:32):
And you told me, you said, when you launched your podcast,
call me back, And I said, you know what, I
wasn't gonna call back before I launched it, but I said,
you know, I'm gonna call her one time.

Speaker 6 (01:15:40):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (01:15:41):
Also, that's just the way to hold myself accountable.

Speaker 7 (01:15:44):
Well, I may hold you even more accountable because we
do have a segment called Partty Time that's about to
start that is going to be highlighting podcasts once a week.
So now you have a responsibility because you're gonna have
a slot on there. But you got to get your
podcast to the point where you feel like you want
people to hear it and comment on it.

Speaker 9 (01:16:00):
Okay, you got work to do. I haven't got many fine,
too many fine, And I'm going to do this. And
I appreciate you for that. I really do appreciate you
just for giving freely.

Speaker 19 (01:16:10):
I appreciate that.

Speaker 6 (01:16:11):
All Right, Well, we wish you luck. I can't wait
to hear from you again next time with your podcast.

Speaker 1 (01:16:15):
Congratulations, Potty Time, Thank you lady.

Speaker 11 (01:16:19):
Bye.

Speaker 6 (01:16:20):
All right, Well that was asked. Yeah, you guys can
keep on calling up.

Speaker 7 (01:16:23):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty and when
we come back, it's your time again. It's time for
the last word on Way Up with Angela yee, because
you know I'm a hookup queen.

Speaker 13 (01:16:32):
You are.

Speaker 8 (01:16:33):
Yeah, you've done a few matchmaking things for you.

Speaker 11 (01:16:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:16:36):
I love being a little matchmaker. Sometimes it works, sometimes
it doesn't. But I also feel like, don't pressure yourself.
Everybody you don't you meet doesn't have to be your
potential mate. It could just be a potential friend. And
that's how you look at it. It's just somebody that
I even want to be cool with and hang out with,
and maybe more will develop from there, but if not,
at least you'll have a new friend.

Speaker 8 (01:16:53):
That's great advice. And also in the meantime, focus on
yourself too.

Speaker 6 (01:16:56):
Yeah, do things that interest you. That's how you'll meet people.

Speaker 12 (01:16:58):
Yep.

Speaker 7 (01:16:59):
Be true to who you are and what you care about.
And that's our adviceful Way up where Angela Ye, We
will see y on Monday.

Speaker 1 (01:17:04):
Be safe.

Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
