Speaker 1 (00:03):
What I call it. It's way yup with Angela. Ye
what today Wednesday? Okay, alright, and that was applies with
our fabulous theme song. Yep, Jasmine Brand is here with me.
Good morning, Good morning. Jasmine has been hanging in there.
(00:23):
You're like um as we're searching for his co host.
She's been here kind of helping me out. Yes, I'm
I am the help. You want the help. He's doing
a great job. Ray J is here helping out too.
He is now. He says he wants his own radio show.
He wants his own ray Dio show. I don't know,
ray J, you're not here. He said he had a
time last night. It was Valentine's Day that we expected it.
(00:46):
Shout out to Rayjie. I know he's going to talk
about this on about last night. But he did send
us video of his set up for Valentine's Day and
he's very proud. He did it all by himself. It
looked pretty. I'm good impressed. So we'll talk about that
this morning. Also, it is Wednesday, so that means it's
Wealth Wednesdays and my partner and Wealth Wednesday, Stacy Tuesday
will be here and we're gonna teach you how to
(01:09):
get rich. This is some great information that's tangible that
everybody can do. And it's legal, which we love because
I don't want to I don't want to go to jail,
So this is perfect for me now. But it does
require you to do some work on your end. You know,
people always want to get rich fast, but they think
it can just happen. Well, here are some things that
you need to do. Educate yourself and then you can
actually do it. You have to have an LLC. But
(01:31):
you'll learn more about that as Jason and White is
going to join us. J White is going to join
us this morning for Wealth Wednesday, well this afternoon to
talk about that. UM and yeah, yesterday was Valentine's Day.
We would love to hear from you guys and hear
what's your Valentine's Day? Was? Like, I was pretty chill.
I'm not gonna lie. I was exhausted. How what did
you do? I was with you? Maybe I can surprise
(01:54):
maybe the listeners don't know what you did for Valentine's
I was too. I didn't really do much. We um,
we were until kind of late. Then we went to
grab something to eat and it's a hard thing to
go out on Valentine's Day, So um, parents who works
with me? She was with us also shout out to parents.
She ran into the restaurant and was like, okay is
it okay is the space and they let us come
in the restaurant. We'll talk about that, Um, but yes,
(02:17):
that was our Valentine's Day'm gonna be honest, it's not
a big deal to me. I know for a lot
of people, they do celebrate. I saw people getting all
kinds of gifts as it's very up. Let me show
you what I got. Performance It could be a little performative, yes,
but if your love, hey, it's a great moment to celebrate,
all right. So when we come back, it's time to
(02:37):
shine a light. That's when you get to call in
and shine a light on somebody who did something positive
for you. And I do want to shine a light
on my neighbors. I'll tell you why. When we come
back nine to fifty, shine a light on them. On
a Wednesday, turn your lights on, y'all, spreading love to
those who are doing greatness. It's time to shine a
(03:03):
light on them. He has way up with Angela. We
love to start the show off like this, shining a
light ONUM. Jasmine brand is here with me too, I
am then I'm moving my shoulders. I know you love this.
So this morning I would like to shine a light
on somebody and you guys can do the same. Eight
And these are from my neighbors UM in Brooklyn. So
(03:25):
everybody knows that at certain times, if you get package deliveries,
they had the potential to get stolen. I'll see this
all the time. Has happened to me before. It's happened
to me numerous occasions. Even if you watch them on
your cameras. If you're not home and somebody is still
in your package, all you can do is release the
video into the network and then everybody can see someone
(03:45):
stole your packages. Well, you know that's been happening to
me a lot, and I have I don't even want
to get into it the issues that I have with
h for let's move on to this. But yeah, this
is a positive segment. But my neighbors palling them and that
that they are all ways taking my packages for me.
If they see it and then they hold on to it,
they let me know, hey, this package came for you,
(04:05):
and so that's super helpful. It's so helpful. So I
just really appreciate you guys for that because you don't
have to do that. They don't, and I do it
for them also. So I just like some good neighbors.
Nothing like good neighbors, good people in your buildings, people
that look out for you. So we appreciate that. Now
you can shine a light on somebody. Eight fifty Joe Hannah,
I would like to shine a light down on my
(04:27):
three special baby or killing m again. It's Malik Boyd
and to Roger Monken and they have the love of
my life. Say they hold government names. That's what I'm
talking about. Have all the day are killer Keys fourteen
to rock Malik's Twilve to Rogers Jenior. Al right, well,
shout out to them. That's so cuteautiful names. Zacha Yah,
(04:48):
good morning. Who do you want to shine a light on?
My son's right here underscore dot room. Okay, trusting in
the process, he failed, but he got back up, stayed
away from negative people, place to do things. And now
my son is in the West Coast focusing on his
dreams and the plans that God fretful for him. I
love that when you said he fell and got back up.
(05:10):
What happened he was the prison. He was never in
trouble of taking his life, but prison with his journey,
not mine. That the thing that happened to him. And
he let me know that if a person who wants
to stay out of prison, they can't all right, change
his life in an amazing way. And I just want
him to know that God has plans but and just
(05:32):
continue the walk of praise. I love that, yes, and
we'll continue to pray also, And that's the support that
you need if from family members you fell but got
back up in a better place. That's right. That's my
walking part beats with found him nothing without God and
him nothing possible. I love it all right, thank you,
Thank you. That was shining a light on him. When
we come back, let's do yet. We're gonna talk about
(05:55):
the top ten highest paid entertainers of twenty two. Tell
you who made that list. I'm looking at it and
there is one black person on the top ten. But
we'll tell you who that is. On way up with
angela ye ye t next listen, you've been way up
with angela ye. This says truth in the room, from
industry shade to all the gossip. Angela's all right, it
(06:22):
is yet on the way up with Angela. Ye, the
Jasmine brand is here. How appropriate? This is my second
favorite segments. So let's let's just get into it, alright.
So let's talk about the top ten highest paid entertainers
of according to Forbes. Number ten on that list was
Bad Bunny. Bad Bunny made eighty eight million dollars. Till
(06:43):
Us Swift was number nine. Uh, James Cameron was number eight,
The Rolling Stones number seven. You know, they tour forever.
I feel like they're always on the list. Number six
is Brad Pitt. Now, the reason why Brad Pitt is
one of the top ten highest paid entertainers it is
because of the majority sale of his auction company, Plan B.
He sold that in December and he got a hundred
(07:03):
and thirteen million dollars after all the fees were paid.
And he also earned thirty million dollars from acting in
Bullet Train, Babylon and The Lost City. I had no
idea he even had a production company. Yeah, you know,
he produced twelve Years of Slaves. I didn't know that.
And right, is that what herodud Okay? I think he
did do? Moonlight The departed. I didn't know he did those.
I just know about twelve years of slaga alright. Also
(07:25):
on that list, number five, the Simpsons co producers a
hundred and five million dollars. The Simpsons is no joke,
that is like the isn't that the longest running cartoon
or whatever? I wouldn't be surprised animated show alright. Also
right above that is south Park, another animated The creators
of south Park made a hundred and sixty million dollars.
I would have thought those have been swapped. I would
(07:46):
have thought the Simpsons would have been over south Park.
Book ahead. Yeah, so, I mean also on the list
Tyler Perry, black person on the list, Well that is
Tyler Perry, but a hundred and seventy five million dollars.
Number two on the list is Sting, who made two
and thirty million million. Number one on the list is Genesis.
(08:07):
They're the highest paid entertainers of two. They did their
farewell tour. I'm not familiar with Genesis the last Domino tour,
and they are rich. Did they did that song into Deep?
Phil Collins was the lead singer. Oh I love Phil Collins. Yeah,
so he was the lead singer of Genesis. So if
you don't know random fact that I know that, I'm
surprised Open is not on this list. Okay, um, Now,
(08:28):
Cardi being Offset they were in Times Square, that's not
too far from where the studio is at the McDonald's.
And you know they do have that meal together, the
Cardi being Offset meal. It comes with burgers, a large
fry that you share, drinks in an apple pie to
keep its sweet. So they had it going crazy in
Times Square. Though everybody knew about this meal ahead of time,
(08:50):
it got leaked because the bags were available and then
everybody saw that. Now, speaking of major deals, Louis Vattan
has announced for Rell Is the men's creative direct there
in his first collection will debut next June. They posted
Louis Batton is delighted to welcome for Arrell Williams as
this new Men's creative director. Pharrell is a visionary whose
creative universes expand from music, to art and to fashion,
(09:12):
establishing himself as a cultural global icon over the past
twenty years. The way in which he breaks boundaries across
the various world he explorers aligns with Louis Vattan's status
as a cultural my son, reinforcing its values of innovation,
pioneer spirit, and entrepreneurship. I don't know if that's how
you say, Mason, I just thought about my son. I
(09:33):
think you're you would know better than me. I don't know.
Really be mind his business and staying out the way
and getting the check and getting the bag. All right,
And one more big deal. Fifty cent has celebrated signing
his multi year Fox broadcast deal. He posted, how's your
day going Mine is going good? Happy Valentine's Day, g LG,
green Light Gang I don't miss And that's along with
(09:55):
the post of Curtis fifty cent Jackson signs non exclusive
broadcast that's direct deal with Fox. Our shows are doing well.
They're doing really well, and he's gonna do what scripted dramas,
live action comedies, and animated series. Can you imagine at
animated series? Yes, because he had one. Remember what didn't
he had them? Or maybe he wasn't animated when he
was doing the curly what was it it was? It
(10:18):
might not have been animated, but yeah, he had some
fun things he was doing on This is fifty I
can't wait to see what he Congratulations to everybody we
love celebrating huge money deals, and that is your et.
I'm way up with Angela yine. Now when we come back,
it's about last night. RAYJ is supposed to be here
to talk about his last night. Let's see if he
makes it in time. I'm way up with the Angela yee.
Angela ye. This is a judgment free zone. Tell us
(10:48):
a secret, yes, tell us a secret. It's way up
for Angela yee. And again this is where you call
us up eight fifty and you get to reveal a
secret that you've never told anybody. And there's no shame
in our game, right. Yeah, we try not to judge. Well,
Angela does not judge. I don't. I'm a very non
judgmental person. Yeah, in real life, you're pretty much like that.
(11:09):
Ray J Is you do it. You're pretty good at
not judging. Everybody is to have a free will, yeah everybody. Yep.
Does it feel good to tell a secret and get
things out there? No, anonymously? Yes, I feel like it's anonymously. Yeah.
I need to call in and tell I gotta change.
I want to say, what is Voices that I don't know,
(11:30):
languages that I don't know, I don't know I'm trying
to think of some good secrets, some juicy secrets that
I have. I have a I have a few, I
have a few. Oh yeah, yeah, please do it us
a piece of one. Not not to day. It was
a little shit of it. No, not to do it
in the other voice, we won't notice. I won't put
it on the jasmine right. Not to stay guys, maybe
(11:51):
for another day, would say for the next week. They
tell us a secret you are He ain't done about
twelve at once, just now and he said, uh, yeah,
your secrets are hilarious though, I'm sure. Okay, well, this
is the time for you guys to call in because
we don't know who you are, so when you call again,
(12:13):
we're not gonna judge you eight And you could also
use that number. If you don't get through, you could
leave a voice message and you can make it on
the air for the end of the show. For last words.
But let's see what secret you guys have. Hello man
for news being in a wheel chair for a long time,
off and on. But he just be trying to play
me like like regular like reguling. But we haven't put
(12:38):
this last time and we been wait wait, how he'd
be trying to play you. I'm playing just like here
talks to another girl and I found out something to
fair about it, like it's a problem. It's supposed to
be normal, like Valentine's Day would be. Yesterday. He ended
up yelling at me yesterday over some tobacco around. You
(12:58):
gotta wish me better, baby, what I do? I am
gonna wish you better. I hope things work out better
for you. Ain't got to deal with that, Okay, tell
us a secret, hey andwing my figurative. I actually feel
like a long lost cousin to ray J. I dated
one of his older cousins. Hearing his consinend um, he
(13:20):
probably knows the wis Consint family by means of Calhoun
City in Pampano Beach, Florida. So I figured out that
it was really his family, any jew, I was in
a nine year relationship. I did have my first where
he invited I'm another female. But I say long lost
(13:40):
because he ended up being a cheater and he long
lost me. You know, you know, do you know the
relatives that she said? Yeah, it sounds familiar, but I
mean did my cousin she or did you cheat? Or
what they had a reason oh, they had a threesome
and nasty. That counts as cheating. No, after that he cheated.
You know it was a consensual three someme. I agree
(14:02):
to that part, but I didn't agree to the rest
of the foolery. If you wanted to involve me and
you want to reconnect with cousin ray J, well how
was it on some business? By all means? Was the threesome?
Did you have fun doing that? I did. I can
check it off food now, and it confirmed that I'm
(14:23):
really not in the women. It was night, your cousin,
I know what did the woman you did doing? My
man was there, which completed it. But I don't see
how an experience with another woman could complete me. Okay, okay,
well personal decision. Thank you, cousin, Thank you, thank you.
(14:44):
Final all right, this is tell us a secret. Hello.
So my secret is is that I had a threesome
with my guy and his baby mama, and I like
to send you mama more than I like him. Wait,
you had a three some of the guys baby mom. Yeah,
and I like a baby mama more than I like
carm he weck the baby mama colder than him. So
(15:06):
now w uh so now we're friends and we just
don't see where it goes from there. I cut him off,
and wow, mama, are you on your are you in
the baby mama? Just? Uh? We did once? Sometimes? How
was it hurt? Judgment? Her sex is better than his face? Does?
(15:29):
Does he know? He does? He know what you know? Now? Okay?
Now he does not? Are you guys gonna tell him? No,
he's gonna find out at some point though, right my think?
So that's his laws. Yeah, not's your problem. And that
is a danger people of introducing threesomes to the relationship.
Somebody might like somebody better. Yep, that's why you gotta
(15:51):
get him and get him out. Okay, Well never never,
he should never introduce me to his baby mama. She
more honey than he is. And ain't that usually the click?
Is it? Because he didn't last long? Oh? But that's
one of the that's one of the handle hand okay,
(16:13):
And I see most of y'all can't even handle one
woman trying to bring you got some nerves and not
got some nerves. Thank you, Thank you for sharing, and
thank him for sharing? Bag all right, tell us a secret.
I had a two and a half work relationship nobody
told her boyfriend network there with us. Yeo, I was
(16:36):
creeping around in the office and everybody else knew. Uh,
they did a couple of times we got caught and
her boyfriend worked there with us. How long did this
go on? He said two and a half years. Yeah,
it sped about four years. Only all still work together.
So why did you guys stop? Honestly, because he quit
his fire fighting job. Every few days, I couldn't go
(16:57):
to our house and say here, okay, well there you
have it. Thank you for Sherry, Thank you. These work
relationships to be real. Alright. Well that was tell us
a secret, yes, And let's talk about Monique. She has
some issues with things that Sherry Shepherd and Kim Whitley
had to say about her performance and the reading coming
up next. On Angela Yee, they say truth in the room,
(17:27):
from industry shade to all the gossip Angela's s sid
to on What's up? Its way up for Angela Yee.
Jasmine Brand is here, ray j is here, we live.
We all I know is behind the scenes is crazy
behind Yeah, yeah, behind got it all right. So let's
(17:51):
start off with Monique. Now, I was telling you all
about this movie that I watched the reading was on
BT plus that she was in a scary You're not
love a horror movie and you said yeah, And I
thought she did a great job. Other people thought she
did a great job to like Sherry Shepherd and Kim Whitley,
and they were talking about it, um And here's what
they had to say as they discussed the reading. This
is why Monique got got black fallowed by Hollywood. Monique
(18:15):
won the Oscar for Precious for a reason. She's really
really good. She's a great actress. Now, personality wise, she's
always getting in trouble. If it's not with another comic
Dio Hughley, it's with the industry, is somebody. But this movie,
the reading with Monique will not tell you. I was
certainly I was the sucker was this? Hear me? But
(18:37):
Monique is funny in it too, all right? Now, Monique
took offense to some of these comments because she felt
like these were backhanded compliments over her acting in the
movie the reading, and so here's what she said on
social media. Hey, my sweet babies, the your shortest wife. Hello,
(18:58):
Sherry Shepherd and Kim Whitley. First, thank you for your compliments,
regarding my talents and performance in the reading. I couldn't
help but notice though, that you two said because of
my personality, I'm always quote getting in trouble. You then
attempted to show a connection between my personality and me
being black balled, along with the father out I had
with brother D. L. Hughley. In addition, you two, within
the same breath mentioned how we as comics are underestimated.
(19:21):
First thing, kids with their parents, criminals with the law,
enslaves that their masters get into trouble, and last time
I checked, I don't fit into any of these categories
to get in trouble with anyone mentioned? Do you two?
When you too say we as comics are underrated and you,
Sherry Kim and I are ironically all black female comics,
why do you think we're underrated? My personality is upset
(19:41):
where I have to speak up and out against injustices
so we can stop being, as you both said, underrated.
And if you noticed, I haven't ever started a conversation
about you two that involved with any negativity in any way.
And all of the years I've known you, I like
you gave me Monique's voice and I kind of liked it.
She was very professional for that. Yeah, so any sweet babies,
my sweet baby. This is a read, so it's her
(20:03):
sweet babies, like the barbs. That's what she calls her fans,
sweet babies. I think so kind of when she's like,
when you're about to be read for filth, the reading,
it's not it's not shout out to all my sweet babies,
like shout out to all the barbs kind of, so
she could say that baby yeah yeah, Ralians, so yes,
And a lot of people did agree with Monique and
(20:25):
really and I did see on social media they were saying,
if you want to compliment her, just give her a compliment.
And then they would say Monique does stand up for
herself all the time, and she's gotten into trouble for
that in black Ball, Thank you ja, he's organizing all
my paperwork. I think she felt that they were a
little condescending. Yeah, but they did give her a compliment.
But then I guess it's what you call a backhanded compliment.
(20:47):
All right now, Amy row back in t J. Holmes.
You know this story, ray J. I'm looking over you know.
They ended up having an affair with each other, getting
caught having an affair. They both were married, and now
they both have since been fired from their at g M.
A well, Amy Roebuck's friends are not on board with
her relationship with t J. Holmes, that they think that
she is being impulsive after everything that has happened. I'm
(21:09):
so illegal. You can't fire me for smashing well, that's
that was part of the story a few weeks ago
ahead Angela. Yes, So apparently her friends think that this
is just too much. And you know that there's a
lot of things that he did, other affairs that he
had while in the workplace that have since come out.
So he didn't everybody on set, not everybody, like four
(21:29):
people alleging not feeling it. Apparently you get all the
injury and energy in the morning just because I'm tied
here in the bathroom. So, but some people feel like
this fling won't last for more than a few months,
and that she possibly gave up her career for a
partner who was untrustworthy. So that's the fair that her
(21:51):
friends are having, and that is your Yet. Now when
we come back, it is time for under the Radar.
That's when we tell you a story that may not
be a headline news story, but we feel like you
should know anyway on way up with Angela. Yet news
the news that relates to you. These stories are flying
(22:14):
under the radar. Al right, it is way up with
Angela Ye, and right now we're going under the radar.
These are stories that are not headline news stories, but
stories that we should know about. Ray j is here,
Jasmine Brand is here. Hello, Hello, All right now. Advisers
to the U s. Food and Drug Administration are meeting
today and they're they're all discuss whether a nasal spray
(22:37):
version of narcans should be made available over the counter.
Narcan is in case you have an opioid overdose. It's
the antidote for that. All right. It's a Baltimore area
company called Emergent BioSolutions, Inc. They submitted an application to
the FDA late last year. They want to be able
to sell this without a prescription. It would be the
first application for a no spray. So let's do it, okay,
(23:01):
I mean this could save people's lives nar cannar can,
got it? Yeah, So basically, if somebody around you was overdosing,
you can just or do they have to I'll let
you finish. Do they have to sniff it up? Or
can you just spray because if they're out of it,
you can't. You know, if they're out of it, they're
not going to be able to inhale it. I've never
(23:22):
used it. Is all right, well this could, according to research,
save lives as opioid han't been to say that we're opioid.
Opioid overdose numbers have been skyrocketing in the United States,
and in the briefing documents, Emergent argues that the nasal
(23:44):
spray has been specifically designed for use even by people
with no medical training. It's easier to administer than an injection.
I know I wouldn't want to inject anybody with anything.
I would, but if I had to, if if you
had to save a life, I would you have. The
opioid game is out of control. That's why a lot
of people take an Adderall need to go to the
herberall take herbs. Are you are you promoting you? Are
(24:06):
you trying to prot I'm just saying hell is better
than adderall right, That's all I'm saying. I hope you
gotta watch this one. Opioid crisis is going crazy. That
that's a fact. And people in school are taking too
many drugs right. Uh, perks, you got the new song.
I take a perky Tan perky twill perky Tan, perkey
twill per goodness too much, that's too much celebration. Yeah,
(24:29):
you need to take herbs like Herberall. Yeah. Well, I
feel like they should make this available without a prescription,
but they do need to make sure that it's safe. So,
because like they did say, well it's easy to administer,
you want to make sure that it's no harm that
can come to somebody who's just using it. And allowing
it to be over the counter in the same manner
in every state also clears up some confusion. They want
(24:49):
to make sure that this is something that could be
you know, nationwide off fifty states, in d C. In
perto Rico. So some places do have laws that allow it,
some places don't. Some people still say you have to
get it from a pharmacist or whatever. And there's also
no evidence that there would have any significant adverse reactions.
It works if a person has opioids in their system,
but if you give it to somebody who doesn't, are
(25:12):
no known harmful effects right now, So I think that's
a good thing like that, And almost all states have
a good Samaritan law that would provide legal immunity for
people who would administer medical aid to someone overdosing on opioids.
So I couldn't be legally sued for administering into anyone. Okay, No,
that's what That's what I'm saying, right, you're a good Samaritan,
got you? All right? So the nasal spray perhaps a
(25:34):
good idea. All right? Have you ever been around anybody
who's overdosing? No? I have not. I would be terrifying.
What about you, Ray Jay? Have you ever been around
somebody that was overdosing? No? What I got this song
called Overdose that's coming out. You do, yes about people
overdosing and love overlook just just overdose? Is that you
are rs VP? But Dann, were you supposed to give
(25:57):
us an exclusive song today? I feel like it was
a remix. No, it's it's definitely what I'm giving you
all an exclusive song today. Dad ain't even mixed, but
I want you all to play it. It's the exclusive
song from R S V, p Ray J, Sammy, Bobby
Valentino and Pleasure Pe. It's called I Like Um. Hopefully
we can get that cleared and put in. But it's
a good record following up for money everywhere like our
(26:17):
bio single. Okay, al right, well that was your under
the radar story again. The f d A is considering
making nar can openate, overdoise and overdose antidotes available without
a prescription. And when we come back, we are gonna
be h of course, doing Wealth Wednesdays. It is Wednesday,
so we have a Wealth Wednesday for you guys today
that you're gonna love. Rachel, You're gonna love this because
(26:38):
it's all about getting to the money and getting some
government federal contracts that could potentially make you super wealthy.
And anybody can do that with Jason White on Wealth Wednesdays.
When we come later on on the show, alright, yes, yes,
and right now it's time for the Way Up Mixed
when we come back in like ten minutes. All right,

already met all the way upside down? You're ready, Jasmine Brand,
I'm ready? All right. Well, let's start off with Robert Glasper.
(29:53):
If you guys remember he want a Grammy of a
Chris Brown and Chris Brown head posted who the F
is Rabb Glassberg? While Rabbit Glassber went ahead and made
T shirts out of that phrase, and then he posted
thanks for the support. They sold out. A portion of
the proceeds from this shirt will be donated to the
Community Music Center of New Orleans. Will be in New
Orleans this weekend. From Marty grat Yes, we will shout
(30:14):
out to Uptown Angela, a nonprofit created to share the
music culture and music education in New Orleans, providing free
music lessons to underserved youth. I can't thank you all
enough for supporting the cause. That's dope. We need to
get what we need to get a shirt? Well, they
sold out. I'm sure we can figure out how to
get a shirt. Angela. Come on, you can get dinner
reservations at the best place in New York. I'm sure
(30:35):
you can get a T shirt. Diana shout out to
chef kwame. All right, now, a resurface interview that Mindy
Kalin did on Conan O'Brien where she talked about kissing
a co star and an old interview has resurface and
people are not happy about this. She's talking about when
actor Lee Pace appeared in an episode as someone from
(30:56):
her past. But we had this one actor on a
show named Willie Pace him on the show and we
had to do the splashback sequence where we are in
bed together in college and we're just supposed to be
having a conversation, but like, he's so tall and he's
so handsome that in the middle of it he was
She's just supposed to be like, what do you think VIDI?
And I was like that, looked around and I improvised
(31:18):
just kissing him in the scene he's not in the screen.
And then I walked backstage where you have two writer
producers and they were like, hey, man, what are you doing.
You could be sued for that, and I got very
scared and then I said, um, tell anyone and you're fired. Oh.
Now people are saying you know that sexual assault, Yes,
if you hear to have improvised a kiss in a scene,
(31:42):
throwing him completely off guard, and then telling the writers
if you tell anybody, you're fired, because you know, if
it was the other way around, if it was a
man that did it to a woman, we would have
a big issue with it. So years with some stuff
like that. Well, let's not compare that to this police.
That's a reach. Okay. Now, let's just say you're improvising
(32:03):
and acting and doing something and then in the moment
you do something like that, is that No, you can't
do that. Okay. I need to note. I need to
know the choreography, lip service everything, like we need to
shameless plugs, thank you. Yeah, we need to know the choreography.
I don't want to just be randomly like lip to lip.
If I weren't prepared, I mone needed to brush my
(32:24):
teeth for whatever. You know what I'm saying, Like, you
gotta let me know. Yeah, that's not okay. And it
also may just not want to kiss somebody. And if
that's not written in the scrap, because you can't just
the other counterpart, it's not like that. And all of
a sudden, now we're tonguing it down in the bed
All right. Now, Olivia Wild has delete her Instagram story
calling a set Rocky hot because she got backlash from that.
(32:46):
And this is all following, you know, his TV cameo
and the super Bowl and all of that, and she
just posted that he was hot. And she also, by
the way, tagged both Rihanna and a Set Rocket. Rocky
looked good, he was hot, he looked good. I'm not
gonna go to the hot part because it's just it's
a different kind of word. But aside, Rocky looked good
(33:08):
at the super Bowl. Rihanna, Harihanna looks stunning. That that
that even her stomach was so beautiful. Yeah, like how
she wore it with the zipper down. Yeah, she said,
if I thought he was happy before, this really put
me over the edge. But she also tagged Rihanna in
it too, which I thought, I'm like Corihanna all the
time for couple. Yeah. I stopped trying to cancel culture.
(33:30):
That is that. That is that is good, That is respectful.
Al Right. Now another person people are mad at it
is Iggy Azelia. I saw this. Now, this all happened
with Playboy Cardie. There are assaults, he was arrested and
accused of aggravated assault in Georgia, and Iggy is Zelia
posted imagine having a pregnant girlfriend and pretending they don't
exist until it comes out you'd like to abuse them too,
(33:52):
and rarely visiting your actual son, unless it's because you're
running from whatever problems you got going on in Atlanta
and the press with your serial abuse of women. In anyway,
I'm having actually amazing day. Karma is real. Treat the
people you love well. Happy Valentine's Day. Okay, Now, the
reason why people were mad at Iggy Azelia after this
post is because she was going to have Tory Lane's
(34:14):
executive produced her album after the allegation, after everything that
happened with and he was convicted, Right, he gotta do
it from Jill? How about not at all? If you
have probably seri abusers. Well yeah, I'm just saying that
she wanted him to do it. Now he would have
to do it over the phone. I think the point
is that people feel like is being hypocritical, right, yeah,
(34:35):
a hypocritical to say, Okay, Playboy Cardies did this, he's
an abuser and now everybody knows. But then you want
to hear you wanted Tory to ep your album and
my homie facing three years and he a big producer.
Who's your homie? Yeah? Who's that? Well? I put it more,
But I can't help people when they get rich. Okay, okay,
who I should say it? Yeah? Detail? Okay, oh yeah,
(35:01):
okay yeah, all right, well all right, we know about that,
but but you know you can't like I made a
lot of people rich and when they get rich, you know,
says did a song about him, you really know about
about really don't know who people really are until they
get rich. Okay, alright, we'll talk about that later, but
when we come back, it is Black History Months, so
(35:22):
we want to make sure that we highlight some amazing
things for Black History Month, amazing things that black people
are doing on Way Up with Angela yell and Way
Up with Angela. Ye, all right, it is way up
with Angela yee. I'm here, Ray J's here, you better
know that, and Jasmine Brand is here, and it is
(35:45):
Black History Months, so we are celebrating black entrepreneurship. Being black, yes,
being black, celebrate that every day, right dang right? All right,
So first let's shout out to Rich Paul. He has
a launched Clutch Athletics peril. It's a real sportswear brand.
It's a new extension of his ongoing partnership with New Balance,
and so Clutch Athletics even though it was developed in
(36:08):
partnership with New Balance, he says it's not a traditional collab.
He said, it's a sportswear brand, a real sportswear brand
that's focusing on training with functionality and style. We're going
to really focus on the next generation's athlete, to really
listen to the next generation athlete and to what they
feel like they want to be present in as it
pertains to their approach to whatever sport they play. Alright,
(36:28):
so shout out to Chris, I mean Chris Paul Rich.
Also Michael Jordan's he is celebrating his sixtieth birthday. That's
gonna be on Friday the seventeen. By the way, why
because it's my January seventeen is my birthday. We capricorns
over here, you know what I'm saying. Alright, And Michael
(36:50):
Jordan is celebrating his sixtieth birthday by making a donation
to make a wish ten million dollars. Wow, that's that's
how dope is it to give back on your birthday
and get back that much. But go ahead, I'm sorry. Yes,
it's the largest donation ever received from an individual. And
Make a Wishes forty three year history. I've actually done
(37:11):
some stuff and make a Wish to that's crazy. I
got a foundation called Make One Wish. Yeah, I think
that that they could just move something this way, just
at the ones. Do not have to make one because
you've gotta make a wish foundation, Gotta make one wish foundation.
Wish Yes, that's just the abbreviation of it. Just moving
(37:33):
right along C threes and C four is you know
what I'm saying. But I do want to shout out
to make a Wish Foundation. When you go and see
these kids and they have these you know, honestly, just
a great organization. All the work that they've been doing
for forty three years amazing. Make a Wish Foundation, shout
out to make a Wish and all the other C
three is out there that's helping m is the man
all right now. Foot Locker, also, by the way, has
(37:53):
invested seventeen million dollars toward black businesses and they are
spotlighting black designers and a new series that they're doing.
I've actually seen some of these in the windows as well.
Continue all right, so the retail company is supporting it
to lead initiative that's leading education and economic development. They're
(38:15):
expanding programming for black students and employees by working with
black venders, community nonprofits, creators, and professional service partners. So
they do have a series that's available on YouTube and
right now they're just some of the people that they're highlighting.
Drew Standers who I know by the Way You brand, Yes,
Shaquire good Rich of Campus Remixed, Terrence Hastily of the
(38:36):
SDN brand, and Darryl Brown of Midwest Kids. J Grant
of J J Grant, So shout out to them. Okay, yeah,
and that's one of the main things we need to
do right, get more investments because a lot of us
shop at foot Locker. We definitely do. I know, I
definitely do. I ain't shocked at foot locker conteen years. Well,
you need to continue, need to go back. I would
love to. We need to circle back. I would love to.
Somebody bought me some shoes from here last week though,
(38:57):
that's nice. I didn't go to but they brought them
back and said had for lockerback right, and Diddy has
revealed his new company name. It is now called Combs Global. Right,
it started as a bad Boy and then now the
company is Combs Enterprises, and now it's Combs Global. So
it's gone through all these different iterations. But he's announced
(39:17):
that the conglomerate of companies in his control will now
be under Combs Global. It's the next chapter in his
journey as a business leader and a bigger vision to
build the largest portfolio of leading black owned brands in
the world. Very inspiring, super inspiring. Happy Black History Month. Yeah, amazing.
People need to know what you have going on. Yeah,
(39:39):
I just send I'll send Jasmine. I'm about to send
you my P and l is because I don't want
to be in the same category I've been inspected with
all of the people that's capping because honestly, like my numbers,
like numbers don't lie, right, Yeah, And I'm so humble
about it to where I really talk about numbers from
tired of being put in this box of like hope
and like people still think I'm selling my products out
(40:00):
the trunk and I'm seeing I like, I like a
lot of lists of people what they made yearly, like
you're not included. Let's raycon make this last year. Talk
about ray Con. Well, I just I would rather show you,
show us, show us. Let's say, and we talked about this.
It's got the numbers. The listeners can't be saying me
saying what I made is not even believable. We'll tell
(40:21):
us and what decide if it's believable or not it's not? Okay?
Can you try it? I just don't want to. I
want you. I went here guy, I want to show
you and then you tell me and tell the world
what you see, because then it's it's easier for me
because I'm very humble. Angels, hold on, I'm gonna send
him to you. I'm seeing you the P and L.
But just tell us just when if you post them,
(40:41):
just mark out like all the other stuff like cost,
the goods and liked and stuff. Okay, alright, cool, you
got it too. Look at these numbers. Six point eight
million dollars revenue we see here six point that's waved
eleven million. No, howd you in sixteen million? There we go.
Now we're trying to talk like a hundred and sixteen
(41:04):
million is what ray one hundred and sixteen million dollars.
And speaking of that, it's Wednesday's Wealth Wednesday, and so
let's get into that when we come back. We have
an amazing Wealth Wednesday with my partner Stay Tisdale coming
up on Way Up with angela Ye. Yes, it's the
Way Up with angela ye and speaking a way up,
and it is also Wealth Wednesday. Ray J is here,
(41:26):
and I feel like ray J doesn't get celebrated enough
for his financial savvy and his accomplishments. Now you studied
Raycon Global back in Yes, a six year company, okay,
a six year company, and it's now worth over one
hundred million dollars. Yeah, it's worth over a hundred that's
the valuation. But we've made over We made over three
hundred million in revenue, all right, and we do have
(41:47):
the p and ls proof of that. I'm like, I'm like,
they put me in this box and I'm not the world. Okay,
go ahead, I'm not him, I'm Himothy alright. In addition,
that ray J has officially joined g p O Plus
as its chief Digital Strategists and brand ambassador for Herberall.
(42:10):
That's not that that's one of our new companies, Herberall.
It's it's really an over the counter peal that gives you,
like that focus that you need, but it doesn't give
you an opioid that you gotta get from the doctor,
like an adderall or riddling or vivance, natural sort of thing.
It's natural. I just took a few. You see'all live.
I am okay, but I'm focused with today. I'm not
(42:31):
playing with people. You're Himothy, I'm Heimothy. I was him
and now I'm Himothy. And it makes sense because to me,
right with the recon with your tech company, a lot
of that goes back to what it is that you do.
You know, music, headphones, you know that world. And then
with this herball, I'm saying why you decided to partner
up with this company and how it even happened. Yeah. Yeah,
(42:54):
And I sold my scooter company, Scooting Bike, remember it back? Yeah,
I bought it back, but I sold it to a
company out of Canada called loop Share and um and
they were publicly traded company. Most of their action was
on the tsx V, but they are trading on the
OTC too. But for me, it was a blessing to
get that company off and then start recon at the
same time, and build the numbers over here. But a
(43:15):
lot of people don't know that because people that's making
a lot of money have this aura of um like this, right,
either we all special or nobody special. Right. So I've
never put myself above anybody else. Like everybody, everybody in
every position makes sense. Whether it's the janitor, whether it's
the assistant, whether it's the celebrity, whatever it is, We're
all equal. So I've never put myself there. But you
(43:36):
feel like people with money typically do, Yeah, they do,
and and it bothers me. And so now let me
put my numbers up. And then when I put let's
let's let's let's have a different conversation about ray J
and yet the network launching. Yeah, but I have a
lot to offer, Like I have a lot of a
lot of capital to invest in certain situations that could
help further a lot of business. Angel investor, I can
(44:00):
I can be all right, but I can talk about
all of that. Now, don't forget it is Wednesday, so
we do have wealth Wednesday coming up with Stacy to
my partner, and Jay White is going to be joining
us talking about the Federal Code. And then we have
asked you you can call us up starting now to
fifty one fifty. Any questions you have, maybe you have
some financial advice you need from Ray J call us
(44:21):
up right now playing with me Timothy on Way up
with Angela yea. He's inga up with angela ye. What's
up is angela ye is way up with Angela yee.
And we are doing Wealth Wednesdays with my partners Stacy
Tisdale and we have Jay White here and we are
talking about how you can get rich. Tell us about
(44:42):
some of the success stories you've had as far as
teaching other people how to get these federal contracts. I
think one of the biggest ones is obviously my man's
think part. When he came home, I told him he's
doing this thing. But one of the most recent ones
twenty one year old college student purchased my cause very
first contract with two point one million dollars. But that's
(45:03):
just the food process. Dude, don't got a food process.
You don't gotta he got a a factory and none
of that. But man shout up to him. But I
have a lot of those stories though, Like now it's
come to the point where I have over forty hundred students.
How does that work. Where do you actually teaching people
in the course, So we we definitely have to teach
them how to look for the right types of contracts
(45:24):
or the cost solicitation. We have to teach them pricing
because when I first started you, when I think federal government,
I think blank check. So I'm putting a million dollars
on top of everything I'm getting on this little hook.
Everybody right right, It don't work like that. So we
definitely got to teach pricing. We gotta teach how to
communicate with the individuals that people think is the government,
(45:46):
but they're just a person that works for the government.
So we have to have human and human interaction. So
I teach that. We have to teach how to effectively
formulate your company properly. Then I have to teach people
how to manage a federal government contract from afar because
remember I don't care about what's in your backyard. I
just care about what the contract is and where is
it and how you can manage it from the far. Yeah,
(46:07):
because you have to make sure once you get that
contract and then you get the work from somebody that
they actually delivered to, what would you do? What would
you do? You to plug and they over there messing
up your whole contract. What would you do? You got
to go out there, got up what's going up? That's
what most people think. Now you got to get another
company to see our common sense that if they ain't
(46:28):
doing a job, get them up out of this and
put somebody else in there. Because it's not their name
on the line, it's yours. We're in the middle. They
don't have a federal company contract. We do. They have
a service agreement with us, but not a photogm the contract.
Look at that, I feel like I just took the course.
You people do the course and then you actually do
live them. Yeah, it's not enough to just purchase a
(46:52):
shout out to everybody else that do this, I don't
do it. It's not enough to purchase a digital course
and just say I hope you do your thing. So
we created platforms like we have a group Zone call
every Wednesday night at a PM where we have Q
and A confidence builders go over situational UH scenarios and
things like that. Then we have a private Facebook group.
(47:13):
Then we have four coaching live calls with me as well.
It's way up with angela ye, and we are in
the middle of talking about government contracts with j White
and Stacy Tisdale, what are the potential pitfalls? Because all
of this is amazing. It sounds like, Okay, you just
gotta do this. If that person doesn't work, then you
gotta find another person to fulfill the contract. What are
some other potential pitfalls that you've come across. Yeah, so overall,
(47:35):
just understanding Number one, I have to understand what the
expectation is from the federal government. And if I can't
effectively articulate the expectation to the person who's going to
be working on my contract, then I failed because this person,
if I don't articulated properly, they could bid me a
hundred thousand when they're supposed to be bidding me three
hundred thousands. Now they go out there to the site
(47:56):
and they need more money. Ain't no more money. They
can't get nothing from me because the government usually awards
on firm fixed. So that's one pitfall. Another pitfall is
just understanding how to have your documentation in order. If
you don't have your documentation order a k A your proposal,
then they won't even consider your bid. And then consistency,
(48:16):
there is a lot of opportunities that ninety six thousand
contract opportunities every single day. But if you're not consistent
that it, it's almost like you could lose it, use
it to lose it. And if you're not consistent, then
nothing will happen. Now, I know we have the special
because Stacey always is like, Okay, we're gonna have Jason
right here, but she ready to throw a gift out
with Angela. We want to make sure that we can
(48:38):
spread this knowledge. You have a course, we have a discount,
and we have a masterclass. Oh my goodness, we've got
so much. Yeah. So my course is literally called the
Federal Government Cracked the Code, right, and that's on the
Federal Code dot com. But then we're gonna do a
master class, right, you're gonna be involved in the yes
(49:00):
I am, and the numbers. I think your course is
what so right now the courses to seven. But we
don't way up right with Angela. So we're gonna give
a way down discount and we're gonna look out for people. Okay,
you gotta get this done. Offers only in toll of
February's And um, Jason, you said you do reply to people.
(49:22):
J White, So how can people reach out to you
on Instagram? And I am Jason White Underschool. And then
the website is the Federal Code dot Com. But don't
go there, go to what Angela telling you to go
to it? Yes, go to the Federal Code dot Com
at slash and Wealth Wednesdays. That's the Federal Code dot
Com slash Wealth Wednesdays. Thank you so much, Jay White
for joining us. Of course, my girl Stacy today Wealth
(49:43):
Wednesday's way up with Angela. Ye when we come back,
ask ye ee any questions you have. We are here
to help. Ray J's here, Jasmine Bearing is here. We
got you. Let's you've I've been way up with Angela. Yea.
Anybody with its relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts.
(50:06):
All right, it is way up with Angela us. Time
for asking. Ray J is here, Jasmine brand is here,
and we have a color on the line. Who wants
to remain anonymous? Hi Angela? Okay, girl, what's your question.
I'm a little nervous to ask you this because I'm scared,
But yesterday I was a little disappointed with my boyfriend's
Valentine's figure. Um, he gave me a rose like one single,
(50:31):
rose and a snicker bar. A rose and a snickerbar?
Was it's a real expensive sneaker out. No, it was
regular And like, I know, times are hard, but they're
not that har But how long have you been together?
Six months? Okay, that's just still not No, it's still
(50:52):
not enough. It's not but you guys in an exclusive relationship.
Has this been discussed? Yeah, Like he lost his job
not too long ago, so have been really hard. But
I really don't feel like it's been that hard. I
think that they're more thoughtful, that didn't cost money, more creative. Now,
what was your face like when he gave you this gift?
I mean I just my jaw dropped. But I couldn't
(51:15):
really do anything about it. I didn't want to start anything.
I really just don't know how to go about it.
Did you tell him you hated it? Yeah? Horse not,
I just like, oh, thank you. People do appreciate honesty though,
Like listen, I know you could tell him because obviously
he shared with you the times. I already lost his
job and you don't want to hurt his feelings. Is
there some type of significance behind the Snicker's bar for
(51:37):
you guys or no? At all, Like like, no, I'm like,
where did this come from? What are we doing? But
I feel bad. I don't want to make you feel bad. Okay,
so this is what you say. I don't want to
make you feel bad. And I actually was contemplating whether
(51:57):
or not I should say anything at all. But I
feel like this gift just wasn't very thoughtful and I'm
just wondering. I know, times a rough, but what made
you think that this was an appropriate thing for Valentine's Day?
And I'm not happy? Did you still give him some?
I mean, yeah, but well it worked. No, But I
(52:18):
always think it is important to be direct and express yourself,
and you can do it in a nice way. You
don't have to be mean about it. You can say
I was disappointed. I'm not gonna lie, but I do
want to give us an opportunity to discuss this so
that we're on the same page. The relationship is news,
so he doesn't know her expectation, but he will after
the conversation. Did he at least put in work last night?
(52:40):
Just like y'all say sex is not a gift, we
can say the same thing too. Okay, that's not a
Valentine's day friden. Alright, well just make sure you guys
have a conversation. Thank you, all right, take care ask
ye eight fifty. We're always here to help when we
come back. We have a last word. That's where you
(53:00):
guys calling and leave your messages eight two nine to
fifty one fifty and you can leave whatever voicemail you
once so you can have the last word on Way
Up with angela Ye, Going where y'a with angela ye?
Hack up the phone, tapping in and get your voice heard.
What the words? He's the last word on Way Up
(53:21):
with angela Ye? Yes, it is Way Up with angela ye.
This is five six, seven day eight wow of Way
Up with angela Ye. Jasmine Brand is here with me.
When are you gonna stop? Hello, guys, when are you
gonna stop counting? I don't know, you know, it's still
the first couple of weeks, so I say thirty days,
thirty days and then that's it, all right? Well, ray
J was here guest hosting. He's gonna be here until Friday.
(53:42):
So he did this whole week. He is doing a marathon.
Yeah he is. I can't And he was like, y'all
thought I wasn't gonna be here on time. You're not
on time today, Ray or yesterday, but you have been
here and he was his own show. He wants his
own show. He has a name for it, he has
a premise, he's already done some episodes of his own shows, Graphics.
(54:03):
But he still wants to be part of the Way Up.
He wants to be Ray Up. He wants to be
He wants to come on your show on a regular
He be on here weekly. Yes, indeed, yes, indeed. And
I do want to shout out for Wealth Wednesdays. You know,
I've been doing Wealth Wednesdays for like five years already,
So this is something I've been doing for quite some time.
And We've talked to a lot of different people, a
lot of different companies. We've done things with Rocket Mortgage,
(54:25):
with the Small Business Services, with Google, a lot of
different corporations. Today we were talking to j White, yes,
entertaining any informatives, Yes, about these government contracts. And I've
always been hearing all you gotta do this, you gotta
get this government contracts. A lot of people get rich
off of these government contracts. But how do you get
them and tell help people learn how to do that?
(54:47):
You know, I like tangible, actionable things that can be done.
You should do a wealth Wednesday like anniversary party event.
I gotta figure out what the exact day was when
we started doing it. We could just pick one out
of the air. Okay, we just make up a day,
make up an anniversary. Yes, But I just want to
thank everybody who's been listening and calling in because I
feel like the highlight of the show is always the
(55:08):
listeners calling. When you guys call us and we do
ask ye, and we do shine a light, and we
do pick a side, and we do the last word
and all of those things. Those are really what make
this show what it is. I'm not just saying this,
but you really have some great listeners. I do, right,
you really do. Now. I love listen. We love what
(55:29):
we do for that purpose, and it's only gonna get better.
It's only gonna go way up. You like that right
to see what you did there? You see what I
did there. That's how I came up with the name
way Up. You should hear some of the other names
that we're floating around. I don't think. I don't think
if I heard of any of the other ones. There
was some other names floating around, but I think way
Up is the one that really stuck. And so clearly
we got roses in the studio in the same way up.
(55:52):
Those are gorgeous, but absolutely gorgeous. A matter of fact,
ray J used that same flooris for for Valentine's and
then wine flowers, and he did the whole I think
he's gonna post that. He posted it on his Instagram.
He did, Okay, he spickled the flowers. Shout out to Tatiana.
Just a restaurant, black owned restaurant, chef Kuam asked to
(56:13):
New York. I know he went there. Yesterday. We went
to a Mexican restaurant we did. Was it Taco Tuesday?
It was? It was also Taco Tuesday, a Mexican Taco Tuesday.
We had some great, some good drinks. Do you ever
put a lot of hot touts on your food and
then when you go to the bathroom it burns. Yeah,
that's happened to me for sure. Did that just happen
to you? Okay, that's happened to me in the past.
(56:34):
All right, well, you guys call us up eight hundred.
Of course we have the last word. And that's when
you guys get to call in. You can weigh in
on things that happened in the show. Maybe you couldn't
get through earlier and you want to shine a light
on somebody. Or you want to talk about ray J
and his multi hundreds of millions of dollars company, great time.
Maybe you want to talk to Jasmine brand and go
(56:56):
viral on the Jasmine brand. But whatever it is, you
can call us up eight hundred to nine to fifty
one fifty, let's go okay. In response to the one
Rose and the Snickers, one Rose means I loved you,
so I thought it was Hey, this is Richina Moore
with chest flavors and I wanted to shine a light
on me in my hood. Will we are the first
(57:17):
leg entrepreneurs um and poo manufacturers out of messages to
landa deal with palmar Our Spinach. This is coming to
a city moves near you. And if you don't believe
