Way up. Yes, it's a way up with Angela. Ye,
Jasmine Brand is here with me. Good morning, Angela, Good morning,
And guess what I'm doing doing? What are you doing? Angela? Well,
you know, there's a lot of President's Day sales and
I get emails about all of them, and you cannot
ignore them. Apparently I can't, can't. I don't even need anything.
I'm just looking at I'm gonna see what's what happens

(00:22):
to be on sale, and then you know, on your
phone whenever you google something that all of a sudden
that pops up everywhere Instagram, Devil's listening. Yes, but I'm
looking at practical things like storage for home. Okay, you know,
so I'm not looking at close because I was gonna
ask you to just you know, sometimes you'll send me like,
oh you should get this. Yeah, I need to do
some spring cleaning. So but it is way up with Angela. Ye.

(00:46):
Ray J should be here shortly. I know. He said
he's in the building. Ray J is serious about trying
to get his own radio show. He is. He wants
his own Rayo show. Yes, he does not want to leave.
He loves it here yet, I just want to be
here I'm enjoying. I'm good, I'm happy, I'm well rested.
That's what I just saw. Claudia Jordan's she was in here.
She's been hosting, guest hosting on the Breakfast Club. She's

(01:07):
doing amazing and she looks good. Yeah, she looks great,
and she's a good friend of mine. I know Claudia
for a long time. How long? So when I first
met Claudia, we both are working at Serious. She was
working with Jamie Fox on his show Foxhole. I remember
claud Yes, so they had a cloudy mouth. And so
she actually was in New York recording and she came

(01:29):
down the halls um to say hi, and that's how
we met. And then we've just been friends ever since.
You but your other friends stopped by this morning too.
Who the tor is here? That's right, I have to think, Yes,
the Tory is pregnant. That's my girl. She looks so good. Yeah,
she looks amazing, and she has a movie coming out tomorrow.
So that's why she was here. But we gotta talk

(01:49):
about that later. Shout out, Yeah, we are going to
definitely talk about it. But today on the show, we
have another friend staffing by a new friend I just
met her. Jesse Or is going to be coming by. Yeah.
She's an artist, but she's also an influencer. She does
not shy away from that title. Yeah, and she was
on the impact. She's gonna be on season two. We're
gonna talk to her about all of that and all

(02:10):
the questions that we know she hates to answer, but
we're gonna do it anyway. And now you guys are
gonna call up and shine a light on somebody doing
something positive. This is the part of the show where
you call us eight D fifty and you get to
shut some love, share some love, spread some love to
people who are doing great things, and you just wanna
give them a little shout out. And I have somebody

(02:32):
I want to shout out to on A Way Up
with Angela Ye. When we come back, I turn your
lights on y'all spreading love to those who are doing greatness. Shot,
it's time to shine a light on them. He has
time to shine a light on them. Eight way Up

(02:53):

Ray j is here, Yes, Yes, Jasmine brand it is here.
Good morning, and today I want to shine a light
on somebody that actually helps us out all the time.
So you know, I have this podcast called lip Service.
It's lit, It's very little. Yesterday we were there. We
did actually interview cash Out yesterday. She looked amazing. M

(03:15):
And we want to shine a light on Edgar. Edgar
works at engine Room Audio and he is the person
that is always there on point in a great mood,
helping us. He has a newborn baby. She's so cute
and so cute and I actually got to meet the baby.
But he shows his pictures all the time. But he
is the most helpful, great person, has great energy too. Yes,
he's always does he have a bad mood. Ever, I've

(03:37):
never seen him in a bad mood. I don't know
what's going on that, But that's that little girl he has.
Oh my gosh, So shout out to Edgar from engine
Room Audio. We just want to shine a light on you.
And now it's time for y'all to shine a light
on somebody eight two nine two who deserves some love.
What's up, Sam on my girlfriend? Yes, we love it.
What's her name? Okay? Tell us more. She's like to

(04:00):
garden teacher and the college professor. She's like the most genuine,
kind hearted person I've ever met in my life's just
the best. I love that. That's how it should be
in your relationship. This is the most genuine, most kind
hearted person. How long have you guys been together? Seven months? Good? Deianca? Alright, well,
good shining a light on Bianca? Thank you, Sam, thank you?

(04:22):
Good morning. Aunt. Who do you want to shine a
light on? I want to shot a light on my
future fiance, the Lila. You've done anything is and everything
that she can. It's been the most amazing person in
my life. Alright, Dela future, do you have a ring already?
You know what you're gonna do or you just know not? Yeah,
I just know. I've known her for over ten years,
she started off. That's my best friend and she's been

(04:45):
together now for two years. So there you So you
got yourself out the friend zone. Yes, I's the best
friend zone. Bet n. That's a crazy situation. Sometimes it
doesn't work. It's clearly working. Were you always attracted to her?
Always attracted? But we was always in relationship? So I
played my part. You know, I didn't never want to

(05:07):
overstep boundaries, and I'm a respectable person. So once I've
seen that, she was free and I was recently free.
I decided to approach it the way I should have,
and it worked out. I know both of your exes
that like I knew it. I knew it the whole time. Yeah,
they definitely all but at the same time, you know,
at the same time, we was always hoping and any

(05:28):
time we hung out, there were always there, so it's
not like we always had our times like that. And
he was patient. So you know, I'm a respectable person.
I don't like, you know, stepping over boundaries. Okay, alright,
well I f youture fiance. We appreciate that. Shine a
light on him, and you know, I wanted to shine
a light on both of you guys who you guys

(05:49):
are doing amazing and I appreciate this amazing quality show
you guys gives thank you, he said, both of us,
thank you. That's nice to hear something like that. That
was shining a light automate unto every morning we start
to show off at that and when we come back yet,
we'll be talking about Rihanna. She is on the cover

(06:11):
of British Vogue of course with a sad Rocky and
their son, and we'll tell you some of the reasons
why she was trending yesterday. Angela is way up. It
says truth in the room from industry shade to all
the gossip out sending Angela's spelling at al Right, it

(06:32):
is time for yet on, way up for Angela. Ray
j is here. I'm looking on line to see how
to change my name, to change your name? Yeah, I'm
changing it, all right, Jasmine Brandon said, what do you
change your name to? Right? Just drop the jack. Feel
like that's taken. All right. Now, let's talk about Rihanna
on the cover of British Vogue. She talked about a

(06:55):
lot of different things in this interview. She said she
helps to make music more of a priority this year,
but reportedly she made those comments before learning that she
was pregnant again, so we'll see. Um. And she also
talked about motherhood and the roller coaster that's come with it.
She said, it's a legendary. It's everything you really don't
remember life before. That's the craziest thing ever. And so

(07:17):
um other things that happened. And I don't understand why
people were upset about this, but she went on social
media and she said, my son's so fine. I don't care.
I don't care. I don't care. And for some reason,
somebody said, who calls the baby fine? And she replied
his mother, and then somebody else said more like cute
and adorable since he's not a grown man, and then

(07:40):
she started trending because of it, and then Rihanna said,
you just keep your little cougar paws away from him,
and we're good. But I don't see anything. I'm sure that,
like you know, I don't have kids, but I'm sure
when you have a baby, you're like, oh my god,
I love my baby. He's delicious. People say all kinds
of things like that, like baby so fine, like you
just love your every word you could think of, I would, well,

(08:02):
you have a go ahead, ray Jack. I just want
to cancel the cancel calls. No one's trying to cancel her.
We're just talking about want to cancel the cancel culture,
because you can't say nothing nowadays without somebody tripped. I mean,
you have a point there. I don't think they're trying
to cancel her. I think they think the word fine
is weird, and and Angela says, it's not weird. He
just cried. You know, first of all, he's a little cute,

(08:23):
little chucky, little pumpkin face. She want to call her
a little baby? Fine, yeah, call her a little baby, fine,
Yeah she can. It was it was a different word.
I'm not gonna lie when I said, Oh god, it's
different to me. But whatever that look my little handsome baby.
I don't know. And I didn't see anything wrong with that.
She I mean it was it was she was really

(08:44):
trending over it. Yeah you know what she was telling
that because she responded, yeah, that's probably what it was.
We wouldn't have seen it if she wasn't like, yes,
I could call my baby, fine, that's my my baby.
But that's trip off everything now. She also talked about
her baby. She said, you don't sleep at all, not
even if you wanted to. You're a zombie. For the
most part. You're just going through the motions, and even

(09:06):
then you're so paranoid. So if I thought it, I
found it interesting that she didn't have It seemed like
she didn't have help when she first got home, which
I think was insane. Look your Rihanna. Yeah I don't
think you want help. Yeah, you wanna have time alone?
Oh okay, we'll judge me. Because I wanted help off
the gate Wold, okay, Wold, but I don't have to

(09:30):
though I think I'm definitely what I have. Yes, yes, yes,
all right. Now amber Rose is on social media and
she posted keep the Flawers say a hundred thousand linkn
bio Happy Valentine's Day, and you described the photo the
photos she is appears to be naked, but there's a
happy face over her. But amber Rose got it and

(09:53):
she's bent over and so um. She did say, however,
that she did get that gift in her bank account.
So what is the most you've ever zail cash, chap
or given a woman money, ray J? Because she got
a hundred thousand dollars they sailed a tour. I don't
know how. They don't know what the mechanism was. Each
it's you know, what's the most that you've ever given

(10:14):
a woman? It's a gift? Um as a gif man.
I got to plead the fifth on that because you
know what I mean. Alright, alright, that is your yet.
And when we come back, it's about last night and
we want to talk about something that we were watching.
Jasmine and I were watching basketball wise, ray J. We
were talking about this a little bit behind the scenes.
We're gonna get your opinion too about last night when

(10:37):
we come back Way up with Angela yea up where
angela ye? So about last night? I went down? Al right,
it is the way up with angela ye about last night?
Himothyst Heir A k A ray j that's right, a

(10:59):
k A ympathy alright. Jasmine Brand is here aka herthy
Herthy hethy her got some competition now Hearthy in the building,
and we were talking about about last night. This is
a segment where we discussed what we did last night. Now,
I did not get to see the full Basketball Wives episode,
you know, I guess they split this into two different

(11:20):
parts this season, and last night we caught up on
Basketball Wives. And one of the things that everybody's talking
about is Brooke Brook Bailey. Her husband cheated on her.
Jesus yes, and she is actually really head on facing
this on the show, being super transparent about it. Here's
what happened. I'm just torn with how I feel. My

(11:42):
heart is saying this is your marriage. You know, if
you love someone, you can get past and get through anything.
But my mind and my bruised ego is saying this
is the end of the row. I don't know. The
thing is, you know some people on the show are like,

(12:03):
are you sure you're you want to move on? Because
she's upset, she's upset, she's hurt. Yeah, they've been together
for a long time. No, I think they have been
together a few years really and was about to do
a deep dive, but they they were I would say
they were probably married about I'd say, no more than
five years and then solid, that's solid. And so other

(12:23):
cast members were saying, like, if you're angry, if you're upset,
why don't you wait and see if this decision you
got married? Okay, so she got a chill, seven six years,
she got a chill and just let her emotions, um
digest her emotions. So that's what the cast was talking about,
like are you just upset or are you really really
ready to go because he cheated? Give it some time?

(12:46):
Is that terr advice? Give us some time? Just give
yourself some time. I mean, if there's a wrap, then
it's a wrap anyway. How do you know if it's
a wrap, Well, you never know it's a rap until
it's a rap, because even if it's a rap, sometimes
it gets unwrapped. Right, you went through that exactly. So
it's like a lot of times things get you know, um,
things get hard, and then things start that you start

(13:08):
to see things in a different lights. How do you
know what's worth fighting for? Well, I mean, if you
really love somebody, then that's worth that's that's that's it.
You can't they ever make their relationship stronger. I think.
So he's like, I don't like this stuff. I mean
you said I think so, Well, it wasn't. Well, our
situation wasn't about that. It had a lot to do

(13:30):
with just communication and understanding. So it wasn't that in
our relationship. But I think sometimes the relationship can get
You could be content right, and you can just and
it's like it flatlines into like this roundhog day where
every day seems like it's the same thing, and then
all of a sudden, this thing happens and then now

(13:50):
it's like you feel like you're back in college or
back in this young relationship where reignited, somebody gets a
tracked them again, look, and then somebody and then the
other person gets real attractive again, and then you're back
at it. Then y'all getting it popping a lot different,

(14:10):
and then you're back together I understand what you're saying
about communicating, because sometimes both people can be really stubborn,
but all it takes is for one person to really
make the effort more and then the other person will
be like, Okay, I see the work that you're putting in.
But sometimes you're like, well, this person is not doing this,
so I'm not doing this. Yeah. Yeah, you gotta like
both compromise that out and just talk to each other.

(14:30):
And I don't feel like you need to talk to
anybody else. Well, sometimes I feel like a neutral party
can help, you know, Okay, I just think y'all gotta
lock in box everybody out. No, I'm not saying just
as strangers. I'm saying, if it's you know, your close
friend is real dangerous, No, I wouldn't stay close friend.
I would say a professional, Oh, like a therapist. So alright,

(14:51):
all right, we want to see what you guys think.
We were watching basketball wise, we're talking about relationships. How
do you know when it's time to leave and when
do you just side it's time to work it out?
It teams. That's what brook Billy is trying to figure
out right now. She seems ready to leave, but maybe
not so certain, but we want to hear about your experiences.
So call us up right now, nine to fifty one fifty.

(15:13):
It is way up with angela Ye co starring ray
J a k a Eimmothy and Jasmine Brand a k a.
Hearthy Horthy. Al, Hey, what's up. It's way up with
angela Ye. Jasmine brand is here, Happy Thursday. Ray J

(15:34):
is here somewhere. He's walking around. He's walking around the building.
I'm not gonna lie. There's a lot of people in
here today. We just saw Erica about Do and Puma. Yeah, amazing.
Erica looks amazing. Yes, Okay, So ray J is back
and we are talking about basketball wise, we were discussing
on about last night the episode that Jasmine and I watched.

(15:55):
The new season started and brook Bailey is going through
with her husband been Ronnie cheated on her and it
feels like she's ready to walk away. Here's what she said.
I'm just torn with how I feel. My heart is
saying this is your marriage. You know, if you love someone,
you can get past and get through anything. But my

(16:16):
mind and my bruised ego is saying this is the
end of the road. I don't know, it's the music
for me, the music said it off. That's a tough one.
But a lot of people, um, you know, we've been
discussing how do you know when it's walking when it's
time to walk away? Can it potentially even help somebody

(16:37):
cheats or you guys go through it and stay together.
We want to see what you think. All right, good morning?
Who is this is? What's going on? Good morning? Will Well?
What are your thoughts about relationships? How do you know
when the step for it? Um happened to me years?
I've been for ten years and my wife actually had

(16:57):
an emotion with ex boyfriend and I almost called it
in you said to my ego, okay, but I feel wow.
He sat down and I actually made them out of
stronger because we were like two ships in the path tonight.
So just actually made all relationship stronger. Now describing emotional affair,

(17:19):
that means physically they didn't do anything, but she was
physically you know, physically they didn't do anything. There was
your phone costs phone conversation. Then I was able to
check the phone records and see all the time that
they called the text and so for me, I was
getting a call of that and she really wanted to

(17:39):
fight for it, and I went up. Hell, I wanted
the phone to make sure it didn't go physical. Okay,
So if it would have been physical, that would have
been the deail breaker for me and what have been
because for me as a man, I feel like when
a woman cheats, it's ting. When a man chat authors
a double stand it, for a woman it's going to

(18:00):
give more. And so for me, I don't think my
ego would have been able to handle that part. And
she would have if she would have really went all
the way through it in right, and you sure she
didn't go all the way through with it? Yeah, he said,
he checked, Yeah, he checked, Yeah, I checked broke y'all ready?
I checked. I checked uping down a ready like right,
how you check? I got on the investigation. Oh yeah,

(18:22):
you went and you know we real I mean I
checked flight. I checked credit card to see if there
was in the hotels and the flights today day? Did
you get the phone? But they also with them two
different states, the different states? Okay, alright, was she sending
pictures when I heard that she was sending pictures? No? No, no,

(18:42):
she's also we we all though you know we we
we all but we're not fining, So it wasn't even
about that. I just said that we all got a
point in our marriage where it became redundant. I mean,
we just were two ships in the past tonight. And
that's what I was saying. I was saying that sometimes
a relationship can get boring and then all of a sudden,
when this when the cheating or the almost cheating start

(19:04):
happening and spark up that new energy. Okay, I'm telling
you ya, And that's what made the relationship. You know,
we started doing date night Sweet once a week, like
y'all start having sex more, right, Well, you gotta stop
cursing on this radio. But but I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry, but I'm sorry. But this is what I
will say. Every manage is gonna come to a point

(19:24):
where you're gonna be ready to throw the marriage. But
I tell people, but you gotta fight for it because
you go, you walk, get to a point where everything
you just don't get, you're gonna get time at each other.
So you gotta you become different people in your season
because you gotta just know that, you know, it's white

(19:44):
fight for all. Right, Well, thank you, Well, I'm glad
y'all worked it out and thank you for your advice
this morning. But you'll ask congratulation and everything. So we're
gonna we're gonna wait back we used to work because
years ago, where were used to work? Yeah, we used
to word together, owing story. I didn't work at diesel
you want you know? Okay, but thank you. I'm glad

(20:14):
we go back. Hello, who's this? How are you? Monnam? Ramon? Ramon?
So what are your thoughts about when it's time to
step out of the relationship and just let it go
or fight for it? Sometimes you just have that moment
and take a look at the big nature and sometimes
to take that cheating to bring you closer together. Okay,

(20:37):
see what people gut and you know, I see all
guys saying that cheating brings you close? Was it? Yeah?
What happened to you? I was cheated on. I'm with
im February twenty one and when my wife was deengine
year Okay, congrats about thank you. Nine years ago. He
stepped out in our relationship because I get what most

(20:59):
men do. Run the neglected that woman. Okay, So therefore
I was bad on my own thing and picked her
an arm with somebody else. How are you neglecting her? Well,
I was battling a diction that they're done. Okay, okay, okay,
all right, And so it was a difficult time for her. Yeah,
her thinking the only way to read me, like stepping

(21:19):
out in our relationship was the only way to read me.
It's not the only way to read me, because I
lived with it for years until I did something about
it and then I stept out in a relationship. Oh
my goodness. Okay, oh yeah, it's like every Springer episode.
So now where are you guys at Now? I got
my bet friend back, Yeah, bet friend back, and we're

(21:40):
stronger now than we've ever been. All right, we love
to see it. Well, thank you for sharing with us.
A happy anniversary. Welcome, Thank you mama. Well, thank you
guys for calling in. And when we come back, we
have yet we'll be talking about Tamar Hamlin and his
jacket since we're talking about canceling people this morning. Um,
Tamar Hamlin people had an issue with his jacket. Will

(22:00):
tell you why and what his response was on t
When we come back, let's you've way up with Angela
Ye all right, well excuse me, Ray j way up.
With Angela Angela, You all the way up. Jasmine brand
is here, You all the way up. Nine. Okay, Chris Cuomo,

(22:23):
let's talk about how he was fired from his job
from Cuomo Prime Time back in um and just days
after an investigation looking into his involvement with aiding his brother,
who was formerly the New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, against
sexual harassment claims drop yes, um okay, even following this

(22:44):
story right, okay, But anyway, these allegations may have influenced
there was also accusations against Chris Cuomo too, by the way,
and so anyway, Chris Cromo was discussing how at that
time he felt like he was going to kill everybody,
including himself. He was on the Open Book podcast, and

(23:06):
here's what he had to say. I have learned to
accept it. I had to accept because I was going
to kill everybody, including myself. Things can consume you. Italians
are so passionate, and I really had to fight against
that because I got too many people counting on me.
You make a lot of mistakes, sometimes for good reasons,
sometimes for bad reason. I'm very flawed. There's damage that's

(23:27):
relatable to people. There's damage that's unrelatable to people that
I have to deal with and I do the work on. Wow,
I don't like that. Yeah, that scare me kill everybody,
including myself, and you have to fight against it. Yeah,
I'm sure you would because people want to live. Yeah.
I don't know if I've ever had that thought. Yeah,
I don't like that. That makes me uncomfortable. Yeah. Well,
when he said it, Bomon need to get a little

(23:49):
rest and don't bring the Italians into it. And I
just thinking watching his new show, and I love his show,
it seemed like he ain't getting enough sleep. He stressed out.
Like his face, it just seemed like there ain't enough
concealer you can use to stop you from getting some rest.
Shout honest and transparent. But I don't I don't like it.

(24:10):
I don't know about feeling that way ever. And he
also said in this that he will never be number
one again. I believe that was taken. I believe wrongly.
I will litigate that. I am not going to bitch
about it in the press. He also said he's in
contact with his publishers and they're discussing his book that
was canceled after his firing. Okay, that's okay, Ray j

(24:31):
after what we just discuss you with because I want to.
I want to. I like Chris and so I just
feel like he needs a little rest. Okay, I do.
I got rest, but he needs rest. He's pulling something
out of his bag. Hamlin, let's discuss him. He went
on Twitter Wednesday to let people know that he did
not intend any disrespect by wearing a jacket with a

(24:54):
depiction of Jesus on the back of it while attending
the Super Bowl on Sunday. He said, after talking with
my he and say understand how my coat could have
offended some people. It was never my intentions to hurt
or disrespect anyone. The code is abstract art to me.
It says eternal, which I am eternally thankful to my Savior.
My beliefs and relationship with God is not tied to
symbolic images. I will learn from this and continue to

(25:14):
walk and love as I always have. So we got
some criticism from wearing this jacket. Can you describe it?
Um on the back of it is a depiction of
Jesus on the cross right, and some people were critical.
Adrian Peterson had something to say about that too, and
he called it black. He said, this is blasphemy. We
all fall short, but come on, man, I find this disrespectful.

(25:37):
And then later on he posted that he had spoken
to Damar Hamlin and that we were able to discuss
our thoughts as men. But so can I not wear
a cross? A chain with a cross on it? And
he looked at it as abstect that I understand that,
and he is great. Are you putting on putting right now?
Only had a peace left to get? I see you
need to get it belly out today too, But yeah,
I don't. I didn't find the I didn't find the

(25:59):
jacket of said, did you find a defensive I did
not think anything of it. It looked like a Jesus peace.
You know how to Jesus peace? Like you got to
Jesus peace. People need to cut it out, yeah, like
like how you want him to have, how you want
him to have him like and he's grateful for his life.
Yeah he did literally he literally he literally stopped breathing. Yeah, losing.

(26:22):
Everybody got some wet white all right, Well that is
your et. Does anybody have wet wipes for raj because
I had the older one on my hands. Well, here's
the thing about wet wipes. We should all carry them
and have them in our bag and have them in
our bathroom. In our bathroom, right, J, you have two children,
you should always have wet wipes on you. They're not here,
all right? Well that was way up. Can we bring

(26:45):
kids over here? Yeah? Yes, And that was her when
we come back. We have under the radar those stories
that may not be headline news stories. They're flying under
the radar on way up with the angeline. We all
the way you put Angela, Ye, the I got news.

(27:05):
Listen to news that relates to you. These stories are
flying under the radar. Yes, it's way put Angela. Ye.
Ray J is here. I'm lactose and tolerant. Jasmine brand
is here. Do you like to us? So you use
oat milk? You need to come up with your own milk,
raised milk. I'm lucky charms and yeah, lucky charms. This

(27:27):
morning a couple that like I just okay, all right, now,
what we're talking about with this under the radar story.
Under the radar is male birth control pills. Okay, now
for men, because you know we've been taking this for
forever now, I feel like men need an option so
that the burden of contraception is not on females anymore.

(27:49):
You know, a woman could tell you I'm on the
pill or whatever, but now for men, there's no excuse.
You guys either have condoms or vasectomies or you can
can I say, pull out? Yeah right, yeah, all right.
Well a lot of times women you have to rely
on the fact that she's taking her pill, she's taking
it on time. But the good news is now men

(28:11):
have a pill that has been developed. It could become
the first on demand male oral contraceptive. Now they're saying
this drug has been found to stop sperm in their
tracks and prevent pregnancies in pre clinical models. It's fast acting.
It can have a man ready for sex thirty to
sixty minutes before intercourse. That's about as long as it
takes for VIAGRAA to work. It gives you the energy

(28:34):
and then no, it does not give you the energy.
It just stops the spur so it don't come out.
And now it'sdapted from I guess because I'm gonna needed
to come out. It brings down um. It says. Our
inhibitor works within thirty minutes to an hour every other experimental,
hormonal or non hormonal male consciouscept. It takes weeks to
bring sperm count down or render them unable to fertilize eggs. So,

(28:57):
in other words, your sperm will not be able to
propel yourself. You'll still have sperm, but it won't be
daily or do it just cut it off? Like what
if I'm trying to have a baby and I didn't
pop too many plan sees? Is that what you call its? Oh?
Just what it should be called? Plan D? They hope

(29:20):
to go to clinical trials by so we have some
time for this. Yeah, so to stop that sperm in
their tracks. Let me know the stock ticker. So let
me ask you this raight, J Would you take a
male birth control pill? Well? I don't need to. Well,
I'm just saying you need to because because I me
and my wife were good. What if she doesn't want to? Yeah,

(29:43):
but what I'm saying that's fine. But what if she
doesn't want to have children anymore and you don't want
to and you're like, we're still doing it. But here, like,
just like women will be on the pill sometimes contracept
it would you be scared to do that? Or would
you do it? I mean, if she tell me to
do what, I'm gonna do it. Okay, If she wants
me to take the A, I'm gonna take the thing.
You know what I mean if she told me, don't
you know I ain't. Yeah, because I've seen stories about

(30:05):
how men are a lot more reluctant to think about
taking this pill. If you want to have five more kids.
I love my two kids. I love building on arm.
Do you have any medication that you take every day,
like vitamins or well, I'm I got I got a
D H D Okay, so you have to take that
every Did you take it this morning? No, I'm waiting
for Lamar. Alright, I'm saying like he works with Lamar

(30:27):
works with ray J. We love Lamar. But I think
for men it is great for them to be able
to have this option instead of relying on the fact
that a woman is saying I'm on the pill, or
instead of just relying on the timing method of just
yeah and I like it, Like, why don't you take
some responsibility, sir? Why don't you because a lot of
times women will have these side effects, and they said

(30:48):
that men are concerned about that. But we've dealt with that. Well, listen,
when I was taking their control before, it was making
me very emotional. It wasn't It wasn't a fun time
for me on the pill. Yeah, sometimes it can make
you gain weight. To the shot made me gain weight.
What about the hot sauce in the condom you're talking about, Drake,
that story, that's true. I don't know what does that

(31:10):
do though, Well, I think in that particular story, the
rumor was that a woman tried to take the sperm,
but Jake puts hot sauce in the condom. So if
she tries to put the sperm inside of her, got it?
He should just bollow them up and just kind of
like have him for sale after as a souvenir. But anyway,
back to this mail Hill, they said it was found

(31:32):
to be effective in a study on mice. Just so
you count alright is doing it right now? So that
was your under the radar story as in the raj Radar.
But when we come back, we still have a lot
going on today on this Thursday, we have the Way
Up Mix coming up soon. We also have des d
Or joining us. You've seen her on the Impact Atlanta.

(31:53):
We also know her as an artist as an influencer.
We got all of that on way up at the Yeah,
going way up with Angela. Yee, alright, it's way up
with Angela. Ye. Jasmine Brand is here with me. Happy Thursday,
Happy Thursday. Ray J was here. He'll be back tomorrow.
It's his last day tomorrow. It's his last day tomorrow.

(32:14):
But I feel like this is not we haven't ray
J alright, but in yet. Let's talk about ice Cube.
And now I've been to the Big Three games. I
actually went to the first Big Three game ever at
the Bark Ladies, and I enjoyed it. It's a good time.
And according to Bloomberg, ice Cube has been speaking to
investors about selling the ownership of some of the teams

(32:36):
in the league. He's been seeking more sponsorships, and he's
been pitching his league to advertisers. You know, they launched
this in so it hasn't been that long. But I
do feel like the big play is always to figure
out how can I monetize and maybe one day cash out.
It looks like that's what's happening. Yeah, nothing wrong with that.
This is the league's fifth year and so if it's

(32:57):
one thing ice Cube is, it's a businessman. Yeah, yeah, alright,
Tyler Perry is gonna be donating two point five million
dollars to help older Atlanta home owners, and that's to
ensure that they're able to stay in their homes. He
reached out to the mayor in Atlanta, Andrew Dickens, about
providing assistance for those residents on fixed incomes who could
potentially lose their homes as a result of rising real

(33:20):
estate taxes. So the assistance will cover city, county, and
school taxes, and he'll also cover any increase in taxes
over the next twenty years for one hundred low income
older residents. He already has donated seven hundred and fifty
thousand for the first year, and then he's pled five
hundred thousand each year over the next four years to
make sure these residents don't have to pay any more
in those taxes. I love that it was very thought

(33:41):
thoughtful of him, and it was thought out the way
he even broke it down. Yeah, and it's not even
something that he has to do or you know. I
think that's amazing that people and when people talk about
like we were just talking about money. You know, I
love talking about money, but part of the reason why
you should want to a keepmulate wealth is to help
other people. That's the whole point, right, and not just

(34:02):
have your money sitting there right if you talk about
that all right now, Ryan Seacrest, no one knew this
was coming. He's leaving Live with Kelly and Ryan and
he's moving out of New York. No. Ryan, here's what
he had to say on the show on Thursday last year.
We spoke and I made the decision to make this
my last season as co host with kel here on

(34:25):
Live with Kelly and Ryan, which is bitter sweet. What
I planned to do is once American Idol starts from
Los Angeles Live later in the spring, I'll head out
to the West coast and host that show. And you're
not getting rid of me, because you're coming back to
guest host and fill in right here in this chair.
All right. I see that was a nice ending. It
didn't end well with um Michael Strahan at all, but

(34:47):
this one seems good. And the other thing that I'm
sure that Kelly is happy about is that her husband,
Marc Consuellos, will be taking Ryan seacrest place, so she
gets to work with her husband every day. I don't
know if i'd like that, but that I'm okay, all right,
that's a that's a topic for a different day. I
feel like I would like it. I don't know. You
think that and then you do what in your life?
Wait a minute, can I get a break? Well again?

(35:10):
You know, he's been there for six years, so congratulations
to him. Is a working man. Yes, I've done a
lot of stuff with Ryan t. Crest too. At I
heard so, and you would tell me he's really nice.
He's very nice always, you know, very complimentary, very friendly
for him to be in the position that he's in,
and that speaks volumes when you are super successful in

(35:30):
you're in demand and you still are a kind person
and you're not. Oh, you can't say that, jerk, really, Jasmine,
I didn't know you couldn't say that either because it
wasn't a curse, but um in the context wasn't at
all okay? But um. In addition to that, he does
have his nonprofit that I love where he actually brings

(35:51):
um the media and the radio to the hospitals and
helps kids like learn how to do all of that. Sweet.
I'm gonna miss seeing him on there. But you know,
if you've ever um lived on two coasts. You know
how hectic it is to go back from l A
to New York. It's a long flight, even if his
first classes, you know, it's it's a lot, alright, And
shout out to Ray Kwan Wootang Clan. Ain't nothing with Yeah,

(36:16):
thought I was gonna curse. I didn't. It's gonna happen.
But he's actually opening up Hashtoria. It's a cannabis lounge
in New York, New Jersey. And he said, my own
life compass has been great to me and can only
become greater. These are gold and admirations on my vision board.
I'm just marking them off. I'd like to thank team
hash Storia and the beautiful city of New York, New
Jersey for their support. We're very grateful. Community goes. Let's

(36:36):
uplift us. So anybody that wants to go to hash Storia.
It's gonna be the fourth location of this, but this
one is in downtown New York. And you know, it's
a lot of regulations going on when it comes to
the cannabis industry, and we talked about that last week. Yes,
so congratulations to him. He also has become a major
investor in Citizen Grown. That's a startup that pays people

(36:59):
to grow weed in their own homes. And he also
had a cannabis strain under Chris Webber's brand Players Only.
We should new work is not too far from us.
We should visit. Yeah, you want to go to the
cannabis lounge. I saw you smoke weed the other day.
Oh my goodness, Angela cut it out. He was like,
that's a fact. Should I post? You know, you should
not know that, but that's a fact. All right, Well

(37:20):
that is your yet. And you know, today is a
really fun, busy day. It's been very You've seen lots
of people today to go ahead. Yeah, I just saw
Erica Badud and I love her amazing. She almost floats.
She makes me want to drink more water. She makes
me want to us burn instant. What. Well, yeah, she's
in the building. We saw the Tory earlier who did

(37:43):
pregnant and you had to wait six months to reveal
her pregnancy. She looks super good. Obviously, Ray j has
been here out and about Claudia Jordan has been up
here building. It's it's a MIXI building and R is
going to be joining us later. I like her and
then when we come back it is Black History Month.
We got a couple more weeks of this and we
actually want to celebrate this all year round, but we'll

(38:05):
be telling you um some Black History Month facts and
people that we feel like we should want to celebrate
and know about. Way Up with ANGELI, Yes, it's Way
Up with Angela Ye. It's Thursday, day nine of Way
Up with Angela Ye. Jasmine brand is here with me, Hello,
and we're celebrating all black accomplishments this whole month. We

(38:25):
celebrated all year round, but this month in particular, we
want to make sure every day we're highlighting different people
and today we are highlighting a Lisa Malone. She's the
CEO of the national nonprofit Persevere Now. Persevere works to
provide quality job resources, training and tools for inmates to
help become productive members of society after they are released.

(38:46):
So Lisa Malone has worked across the public, private and
nonprofit sectors and healthcare, labor and workforce development, and social services.
And she also talked to Black Enterprise about how she
used technology to provide access to resources for us to
t ssessible re entry and reintegration to society that's out
through education, vocational training, rehab, and substance abuse treatment services.

(39:08):
I like that, yes, And um, you know, approximately seven
hundred thousand people are released from incarceration annually. As they
re enter society, they are faced with a multitude of obstacles.
And this is something you know. I'm good friends of Topeka, Sam,
and Topeka always talks about this, how once you get out, right,
how are you able to find housing? How are you

(39:28):
able to get a job? All the obstacles that are there.
Even for her, it was hard for her to find
housing at first because they ask you if you've ever
been convicted of a felony, and right, yes, she couldn't
even get a place until she just lied and put no.
And you and you were telling me about Topeka story
and how how challenging is to reacclimate yourself into society
once you're out. Yeah. So they have specific team members

(39:51):
at Persevere called Technology Employment Specialists. They prepare program participants
to enter the workforce as confident professionals through career readiness training.
So you know, how much more confident you feel when
you have the right education to ye and the tools.
So they have computer coding classes. They actually lead to
six levels of certification that include front end and full

(40:12):
stack developer certifications that take place. We can take place
inside correctional facilities and in the community. So they also
want to offer additional technology education including data analytics, project management,
cyber security just to name a few. Love this it's
so useful. Now. Of course, one of the main things
that are always an obstacle is securing sufficient funding for

(40:36):
this programming that they're providing. That's one of their biggest challenges.
They are a five oh one C three nonprofit, so
besides just contracts and grants, they do rely on charitable contributions,
so people do need to donate to Persevere in order
to make sure that the program can keep going and
thrive even more. Alright, so shout out to Alisa Malone again.

(40:57):
That nonprofit is called Persevere, right, Yeah, for Black History Month.
And then we also want to talk about this eggs.
You know, everybody's talking about how the prices of eggs
have been going up exponentially. Facts. Well, Ramaicone Sona Quaqua
is a twenty three year old entrepreneur but was the
founder and CEO of New Dawn Poultry Farm. They sell

(41:20):
fresh chickens and eggs at affordable prices. Even though around
the world the price of eggs have been going up,
it has not become a problem for her. Uh. She
was living in and she had just started college in
South Africa when the pandemic hit and they canceled the
classes on campus. As we always say during that time,
some people are gonna hunker down and really create something.

(41:41):
Well she did. Um. She actually thought about the idea
of poultry farming. She was looking at YouTube videos about it.
She watched a lot of the videos and decided to
try chicken farming herself. She wanted money. Started the business
in the vacant garage space at their house and she's
been doing everything from raising the chickens, collecting the eggs,
installing electrical cables, and fixing the coops. So they offer

(42:03):
both live and slaughtered chicken direct from the farm. I
feel bad to say. Um. They also sell table eggs, chicken, manure, wood, shaving,
spired wood, and all kinds of things to expand their
product line. And they have these all at affordable prices.
So she's on Instagram yeah, and on Facebook at the

(42:24):
New Dawn Poultry Farm. Okay, I love this I mean
we all not all, but you know a lot of
us eat. First of all, we have all experienced how
much eggs are right now? Chicken for that actually mad
because I have eggs in my house right now and
I think they've expired. And I'm like, damn, I didn't
use these girls over there, waste of money. I know
that's how I felt. But I haven't been home to
even make anything. You know, I stopped eating eggs for

(42:46):
a long time. Why. Um, When I was young, we
went to visit a chicken farm and I didn't. I
still hate the chicken, but I didn't for some reason,
like the looks of it. I didn't like the looks
of it, and I from like first rate until after college,
I did not eat. But let me tell you one
thing you do eat, you are love chicken. Yeah, I'm

(43:07):
gonna give it up soon. I said we should try
to do thirty days, well just no meat. Yeah we are.
We're gonna do the dtox now, and I actually have
the dtox at home. So I'm after I go to
New Orleans this weekend to Marti gras up Town Angela,
I'm gonna start because there's no way I'm going to
New Orleans and not eating any chicken. Yeah, we're we
are going to have a there's no way I'm not
going to Oceana's into Yeah, so all of those places

(43:31):
and getting some black and chicken. But after that though,
we should, yeah, we should, we should. We should definitely
lay off the meat. I think it's a good idea. Um,
I think we were talking about chicken. I'm talking about
meat and well, okay, well come on now, it's not
lip service, alright, alright, Well, when we come back, we
do have des d Are joining us, which I'm excited about.
This is the first time she's done any of these

(43:51):
shows with us, and she's here and she's on the
show The Impact, and from my understanding, should be back
on season two because she was on the reunion and
said we'll talk to Dezia next. I'm way up with Angeline,
all the way up with the night for fashion week.

(44:15):
We've been watching the vlogs to tell us how that's going.
I'm enjoying it. This is my second time I feel
like this go around, like I'm really tapping in. I
went to a show when I first got here. I'm
being dressed by a couple of people I'm walking in
the show, So the show they actually, hey, I'm just
really excited. Now let's talk about the impact, because of

(44:35):
course I always wondered when you can tell by somebody's reaction,
like did you like the show or did you not
like the experience? Um, it was very different. At first,
I ain't gonna I did not like it. Why did
you like it? At first it was like all the
cameras on phase. It's like it's not scripted, but they
kind of like giving you a direction. It's not just
like you gotta make it organic and like know how
to like work it, because if you don't, I feel

(44:57):
like they'll like tell you what to do it, or
like they'll make you do it this, and that's when
it doesn't become you. So at first I didn't really
like it. It didn't feel natural then real normal at all,
But like the more I got comfortable, really ain't even
show that much on camera, but like, why I feel comfortable?
I feel like it was more of a breeze what
I did, Like though, we're seeing you and your dad. Yeah,
I feel like that was a highlight. What did you
think about? I love that people got to see like

(45:19):
how much my dad go hard for me, you know,
like and a lot of girls they don't really have that.
So I feel like it was just good to see,
like refreshing. You know, my dad is super super supportive.
You always tell me like you living on my dream,
so like, you gotta do this, you can't give up now.
I feel like your dad also wants you to be
like more open too, So why why are you so
like closed off? Because people do say that I saw

(45:41):
on the reunion people like we just want to see
dads show more and not be so private, And even
your dad is saying that, So what about everything makes
you feel like you want to be more closed off?
I feel like I have these like periods in my
life where I just going through a shell and like
I just kind of like overthing, just self diagnosed myself anxiety,

(46:01):
like and it's like the more you speak those things
over your life, I realized that it becomes your reality.
So I started like just like closing myself off. Like
I felt like, Okay, well if I don't give people
nothing to really talk about, like, then I ain't gonna
be talking you know what. I'm like, I don't really
show nothing at all. Don't give him like so much
of a conversation. But like I realized that ain't going
to go about it like you know, you gotta show
and you gotta be relatable and like help people really

(46:22):
like get to know you. So I do want to
open up more because I have a very interesting personality,
Like I'm really cool. If people will never know that
because I just be showing it for real. But this
second season, I am going to open up more. I'm
gonna talk about more, you know, just get comfortable. That's good.
I'm glad to hear that. We were wondering too before
you came in. But like if she gonna do the

(46:42):
season two? I figured you were because you were at
the union. We know Jada said it's not for her,
and that's one of your best friends. So we were like,
is there. Did you try to influence her to come back? No? Honestly,
and I kind of thorver like yeah, no that show,
like don't come back, I'll be there, But did you
did you try to convinced to do the reunion? Her
mom was so made up, honestly, Like she was just

(47:04):
like no, So I just left it alone. You know
her well enough to know if she's not gonna. It
wasn't like no convincing for real to do. And I
didn't blame her, you know. I was thinking about this too,
about you and your music career. You were in a
group prior to being a solo artist when you were younger.
Can you tell us a little bit about that, because
I haven't seen much about it online, but I want
to know more about that experience as a kid. It
was fun. I feel like that then we was really

(47:25):
just having fun, but like manifest in our life at
the same time, like stuff we used to talk about
in our songs, Like it was like we spoke everything
into existence. So like to see that it's kind of crazy,
but yeah, doing that, we just used to always stay busy.
What was the name of the group? Yeah, please don't
go look this up. It was called Caution, Yeah right, rehearsals,

(47:49):
stay in the studio, like what was about our business? That?
How were you all? And that was your dad? Um,
I know he said that you're like living out his dream?
So what is till your dad was an artist? No despiring?
So what was his dream? I was like, yess, he
just always like maybe the success part of it just
you know, but like he was always with my cousin, Chinky,

(48:12):
that's my cousin. So like right this changy ever, have
you ever gotten advice from him? Did you have to
give you direction early on all the time, all the time.
And it's like he kind of reassured me, like, don't
put too much pressure on yourself. Don't let nobody tell
you you got to do something. You know, don't because
a lot of people, like family team, like they try

(48:33):
to do this thing where it's like especially family, okay,
so you know when you're the only one doing it,
I guess they try to put a lot of pressure
on you, like you gotta do this or do that,
and it's like I can't stretch myself. So then when
I'm still trying to get to the top, so he
always just like remind me just pace yourself, relaxed and
don't overwork yourself and like feel pressure into like happen

(48:54):
to really like show up everybody. Just make sure you're
showing them feel yourself. Yeah, because if you're not good
for yourself, you can't help anybody. Exactly, like how am
I gonna do it? And if get just tune in
in we are kicking it with DESTI or and then
on the EP raw you have this song called blocked,
So can somebody get blocked? But then I'm blocked? Have
you have a double back always sending on business? I

(49:18):
am going to block you, so you just want to
save you hit me up? He said, you have a
forgiving heart. Yeah, now there's always and I know you
hate these questions. Oh gosh, yeah, but we have to though.
All right, So when you put this EP out, people
noticed that you in future had broke up. But then
he still posted the EP and promoted it. So you
guys broke up on but stayed on good terms afterwards. Yeah,

(49:39):
Like we're very very very good friends. He always support
me and I'll always support him, like it's no bad blood.
And that's what people just you know, they get the
wrong idea, like you don't always have to end in
it though, you know what I'm saying, like gracefully move on.
He didn't have to get blocked about he has to
get blocked, you know, he has to he has to
get block. That's good. I like that because I feel
like I was saying this to Jasmine earlier all my exits,

(50:02):
like I don't dislike anybody. We don't not get along,
but sometimes you just move on, right, You just move on,
and then like nobody can ever like really do that
big one on me because I'm such a good person,
you know what I'm saying. So it's like you can't
even try to like do me wrong in assince or
like trying to bad mouth me or nothing like that,
because I'm just a good person. Have you ever done
anything crazy in a relationship? I have, like what example,

(50:23):
I'm really not like a crazy girl, but I did
one thing crazy and after I was like what, um?
So one time this was back in my you know,
real real your days. I had popped up at this
guy house and pop up had like a gate, like
you had to go to the gate. So like I

(50:43):
don't know how I got an this gate. I feel
like it was just meant to be. I go to
the door, the door locked. You not answered the door,
but like his balcony was like real close to the door,
so I get you could as on that balcony and
I like climbed up and like went to the valcony door.
I ain't see nothing, didn't you? And then what was
he doing sitting there? Ignore my phone calls? By himself?

(51:05):
By himself? So what did you say. I feel like
he just wanted a reaction out of me, which is
why I felt like super stupid. I'm like, you shouldn't
even have did that. You shouldn't not get him, gave
him that satisfaction because he just wanted a little ego trip.
That's so funny that you say that, because I did
climb in the window once. That was my craziest moment.
And how did you feel after that? Like, like, what
the hell is you? Well? I did catch him, Okay,

(51:27):
that's the day I was working. Yeah, that was working.
And the thing is, once you do that, you gotta
break up if you find something, because you look really
crazy if I climb in the window? Are you with
a check? And I stay, you cannot catch somebody red
handed doing something and say they're gonna keep doing it.
Yeah they might apologize, but like they're gonna keep going it.
Have you ever cheated? I did cheat when I was

(51:48):
in high school. Okay, she's like in my younger, younger day,
younger days, I'm super loyal, but like I ain't happy.
I just ain't happy. Have you ever been cheated on? Yeah?
I haven't cheated on. I think you think all men
cheat or you think you had to look at like
to think back like but like I don't know if
it was like a cheat into a sense of like

(52:08):
you like went in like somebody else but like texting, okay, yeah,
talking to somebody else. All right, we have more destier

It's so important to be at your best because that's

it can make you feel overwhelmed. I know right now
starting this new show Way Up has been really stressful
for me. I'm excited, but I'm also anxious, and working
with the therapists can help you get closer to the

(54:25):
and de Year is here with me alongside my co
host for the day, Jasmine brand Now under Tell your
Dad also says something about an athlete. Okay, you don't
know what, just makeing stuff up. He's just making like
like what are you when I watched you? And I'm like,
do you really say that? Like I never told you
I'll talk to you. How quick are you to let
somebody meet your dad? Is that something that only a

(54:48):
precious you or nobody. Only a couple of people met
my dad, not a lot of people future me your dad,
Yeah he meant, he meant my whole family. Yeah, okay.
Is he like hard on guys or my that cool?
He's super cool. He seemed kind of young too. He
got a young song. Yeah, I'm telling all the songs.
You think you're so hill Instagram Like he'd be going

(55:09):
to the club with me. I was like my hostess
and stuff. Yeah, he comes with you to the host
I mean you think I used to like, no, you
cannot party my party. My parients people, yeah, they love Yes.
When I like see him having so much fun, I
just like, you know what, whatever you can come. You
think you want a guy like your dad. You know
how sometimes when we think about relationships, and depending on

(55:30):
your relationship with your dad, it can either make you
be like nobody like him at all, or I want
somebody that can handle things, Like my dad takes care
of me for sure, because my dad give me like whatever.
Like it's like he always bend over doing backflips to
do like whatever since I was in high school. Like
he got me my first car, like anything I ever wanted.
He made it happen like I tell him I gotta

(55:50):
go or I gotta dream, like I want to do music,
like he always support me and I will I will
wanted me and like that. Would you be open to
dating another public figure like another somebody famous again? Yeah,
it wasn't a bad experience for you. Would you date?
Would you date another rapper? Okay, I want to go
down another lane, maybe sports, like your dad was saying,

(56:13):
maybe sports or something. So you single? Now I'm singing now, okay,
I bet them dm s be lit though the only
sing you're lying. I don't believe you because you probably don't.
Look at your general. General, you'll probably know what she's
doing in there. Look at your general, you'll know what's
going on exactly. Remember when he pain realized all these
people have been d M in him, but he never looked,

(56:34):
Oh yeah, I've seen that. That was crazy. He lost
of kind of bags and stuff like. So Valentine's Day
was this week? Have you done anything special? Working? Say
busy so I don't think about it being bottle down
day and nobody sent you anything. Did you get any gifts?
That's a yes. When you start doing all this, that's
amazing to think, am I gonna say, yeah, did you

(56:57):
get a few gifts or just one? I heard some long? Okay,
and you love that? So that's a that's a good stunt.
It was awful. So I love like. I feel like
I got so much stuff. It's like a bag. Be cool,
You're be cool when we already got that stuff. If
you like the small things, that just makes you smile.
So what are the bigger plans besides I know you
eventually want to sign to a major, but what are

(57:18):
the plans for DoD or like, what are some things
that's on your list of like boss things that you
want to accomplish? As crazy as you're asking that, because
I said at the beginning of the year on my
like move board, did this big move board, and I said,
I'm sending on business like I'm doing big girl things.
I got my first a MAX for a plan of
a MAX the top of the year. Do we see
that on the Okay, Okay, I love it? Well, be

(57:41):
careful with that. Care that for them. Points are amazing.
The first ever Louisva Time bag and the first bag
I ever bought was to my points from my MAX. Yeah. See,
I don't even know how to work it for real. Like,
let me tell you something. Points are that I do
not play when it comes to my plant. Got me
ticket off point? So this is what I do. I'm
gonna tell you this. This is a good hack for you. Okay,

(58:03):
buy everything, pay for whatever you can on that AMX,
but make sure you could pay it off every month.
But you get so many points when you use it.
So even when I'm doing like things that I could
just put on my debit card to pay cash, I
just use my AMEX and then I pay it right
away and then I get those points, and then I
use those points to buy other things because those points
add up. So that and then I'm going to help

(58:23):
my mom start up her business again, Caroline Company. Okay,
that's like one of our things. We're gonna make that
a multimillion dollar brand. Okay, we're restarting up my clothing line.
Here we go. And then what else we want? The music? Okay,
that should keep you busy. Yeah, do you get I'm
nervous before you perform. Yeah, But when I get on stage,

(58:45):
like y'all go away, but like I'll be like, ok
have you got booed yet? No? I never got I
throw them, Mike, hold up, and what's the craziest thing
a guy has done to try to get your attention?
Comment on my Live don't say don't do that. Don't

(59:08):
do that because then people get the wronger President all
they talk, they don't don't do that, especially if they're verified.
We can see two so kind of poling. It just
put the spark the idea in people's head. And it's
why hold up, This is not even that. Alright, we'll
have fun if the rest of the fashion week and
we're delighted? Can I use that we're delighted. I don't
think I've ever used that interview, but yeah, we're delighted
that you came up here to see us some way
up with Angela Ye, and I'm looking forward to seeing

(59:29):
more of you. We're gonna keep on checking into Thanks
you keep us posted, all right, jaz Or, thank you
so much. All right, Coming up next, we have asked
ye e is number? Call us up any question you have.
Nothing is done. Remember that we're here to help on
way up with Angela Ye, Going where with Angela Ye?

(59:50):
With its relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts should
know all right, it is way up with angela. Ye,
and you know you are here to help. That's what
this show is all about. Jasmine Brand is here with
me and we are ready for asking the number. So
start calling us up. But right now we have Mac

(01:00:11):
on the line. What's up? Mac? Okay? So I have
a question where I have a woman who's I did
have in the course with It turns out that she
has a baby now, however, I'm havn't seen her since
she's been pregnant, and I haven't even seen her test.
The baby isn't born, but the baby is supposed to
be mine, but we keep dodging this dn nature. Okay.

(01:00:34):
So she told you the baby's yours. Okay, and potentially
it could be right because you did have sex with
her unprotected, just one time, not to meet her the
first time we've been talking before having that into court,
all right, And she won't do the DNA test. It's
not so much that she won't, but every time they
get brought up, she a find a way to argue

(01:00:58):
with me to where we didn't get out of having
a conversation about it. It feels like she's not sure
whose baby it is. Are you the only and you're
the only person she said it's it's your baby. She
hasn't told anybody else that clearly clearly. Okay, well, I
think before you get yourself in any further, because nobody
wants to be uh fathering a child that they're not

(01:01:20):
sure is there's you have to tell her, I need
to get this DNA tested and if you have to
go to court to do that, then you need to
do that. Yeah, but that's the thing. While wet my
time and being money on trying to hunt domy get
a d n they test, just for it to turn
out that it possibly a mom. Well, it could turn
out that it is yours. Yeah, and I'd rather I'd

(01:01:40):
rather she gives me the test to where at least
we sure that okay, this is possibly mine. Then for
me to go while getting lawyers to go look for
her to get this d n A right, you don't
want to go through all that trouble. So I understand
how you financially caring for the child now? No, I
told him, once I get to they tuck, I'll do
whatever it is to help take care another kid. Can

(01:02:03):
I have another kid? Okay? Yeah, I mean look, at
the end of the day, I can understand not wanting
to financially provide for a child if I'm not sure
the child is mine, and so you're right, like, you
shouldn't be doing that unless you can get this DNA
test done and if the baby is yours, then you
should be fully ready and capable to live up to
your responsibilities as a father. But until then, it's kind

(01:02:25):
of up in the air. And if she wants your
support and she wants you to be there, then she
should be in agreeance with that. If she's so certain
this is your baby, then she knows what she has
to do. Until then, what are you supposed to do
unless she serves you with some papers? Now I know
what you're saying. You don't want to spend money chasing
her around, getting a lawyer, getting a court ordered paternity test.
If I were you, I would consult with a professional,

(01:02:46):
as in an attorney to see what I can do
and what my rights are, because I think it could
end up being far worse for you later on down
the line. Imagine mentally how you'll feel if this does
turn out to be your child and you've ducked this
woman because you weren't sure for a period of time.
I think that, you know, in the interest of making
sure everything is smooth later on. It's a small price

(01:03:07):
to pay if it is your child or if it
isn't for you to handle this now. The longer you
put it off, I think the worst it's gonna be.
But consult with the lawyer and see what they say
your options are. Okay, yeah, thank you, alright, no problem,
that was asking. Thank you so much Mac for calling
and trusting us. We'll see what happens. And as usual,

(01:03:29):
you can always call us up eight, call us throughout
the show, throughout the day, leave a message. You can
talk to us at any time when we come back.
We have last Word. That's where you guys get to
have the last word about what happened on the show today.
On Way Up with Angela, Ye yeah, I'm going going
way up with angela ye, tappan and get your voice heard.

(01:03:52):
What the word is is the last word on Way
Up with Angela Ye yes, it's a Way Up with
angela Ye. Jasmine Brand is here with me. I'm here
appreciating you. By the way, while we launched the show.
Thank you be patient with us. But it is day nine,
Day nine, It's it's Friday, Eve, it's your second week.
Ray J has been here all week. Ray J the

(01:04:15):
Mimothy Himothy Timothy has been here last week. Godfre you
came and joined us. Hilarious time. Desdor was here this morning.
Thank you Desor for joining us. Yes she did. And
I'm eating some Tai foo. But the spicy was supposed
to medium. This very giving U giving running nose, running eyes.

(01:04:35):
I love it. Cleaning out your sidus problems. By the way,
I love this. I love really spicy food. I'm like,
I didn't realize, Yeah, it's my mouth is on fire.
But this is a part of the show where you
guys get to call in eight to one fifty and
have the last word. There's a lot of things that
happened on the show today. You know, we do our

(01:04:56):
Black History month. Of course, ray J was here giving advice.
We it about last night. We talked about relationships. When
is it time to walk Away? That came from Basketball
Wise Brook Billy and her husband. What was your favorite
segment today? Um? Today, I was like shining light when
everybody calls in and shines a light on someone, you know,

(01:05:16):
when somebody told me the other day their favorite second
West just randomly tell us a secret. You have your
people call in with some doozies. Yeah, and you you
always say to us, no judgment. That's right, people calling
and they have all kinds of things that they've done.

(01:05:37):
I don't care how grimy you are, what kind of
secret it is. We are not here to pass judgment.
We're just here to listen. You people out there have lived.
Do you hear me? Lived a light? I gotta get
out here. I feel like I'm bored. But yeah. So
in the meantime, while we've been launching this show, I've
been just focused, lazy, focus on doing this. But this
weekend I'm gonna let LuSE and go to Marty Grass.

(01:05:58):
Oh my gosh, we are going to New or Lands
and I'm actually the Grand Marshal. I cannot wait to
get on this float with you. Yes, since my first
time going to Marty Grass, so I'm excited about it.
I don't know if you'll have ever been there, what
type of experiences you guys have had. Angelie is going
to be on a float in a parade. I'm gonna
have my own crown maid and it's the crew of
Athena Parade that I'm doing. And so I'm excited for that.

(01:06:22):
And uptown Angela, that's my girl from New Orleans. She's
the person that's been kind of making sure that we
put all this together. So look out for me. Yeah,
me to her name is Angela. All right, but let's
do last word. Y'all can always leave a message and
you can get played on the air for last word.
So let's hear what you guys have to say. We
had one person who previously called in trying to do

(01:06:44):
something nice for his wife for Valentine's Day, but on
a budget, and we actually sent him to Fleet Club
to go get some some gear for her. So I
hook that up with my boy boot Fleet Club in Chicago.
So let's get into it. What's the Angela? Ye, this
is your anonymous caller. I want to shine a light
on you. You made my Valentine stay extra special. The

(01:07:08):
guys over at Fleet Club really hooked me up. The
package from Black Girl Magic came and it was dope.
My girl loved it all. I did everything you said.
I cooked, we hung out, we chilled, we relaxed. Me
at a great day. It was awesome. You know. We
have emosives. We had Hammond and potatoes and steak and

(01:07:29):
like all kinds of stuff. Man, I hooked it up.
So I really appreciate you. Yi, thank you so much
for making my Valentine stay special. And I really appreciate
you so much. Love you. Yeah, first all shout out
to you, congratulates on show you're killing, and shout out
rage act we all, Man, I'm glad to shing. Just
slide out from my board and my dude, man, uh,

(01:07:50):

the city. Man, I see you. I just want to
let you know that you work on. Keep working on, man,
I see you, will you see you? Keep running? You
know everybody out there, man, follow him, he naimed. You know.
It's funny, you know. Follow that boy out there. You're
gonna love his shows. Man, Herry, this is Jocelin from Scottstow, Arizona,

(01:08:11):
and I would like to shine a light on my
wonderful boyfriend Garrett. He is amazing. We've been dating for
not that long, but long amel for me to know
that we have a special connection and I really love him.
So he's amazing. I love you, Poppy, gene I, hope
