women the men. Yeah, absolutely, Detroit is one of my

(01:04):

you feel like needs to get a little recognition for
being absolutely amazing. Eight hundred two nine fifty one fifty
is a number. Call us up and you can shout
to light on them. It's way up with Angela. Yee

fair enough, and we are shining a light on them,
and I want to shine a light since I'm in
Detroit on my girl, Shantell. Oh Shantell. Now, Shantell actually
used to work for iHeart. Okay, and you know now
she just recently got a new job, so shout out
to her. But anytime I come to Detroit, she has

(02:52):
her own thing clever, curation and whatever it is that
I need to get done. I called Sean, telling I
get it done. I was trying to close on a
building in Detroit. I was like, shat tell, can you
help me find somebody that can help with getting the
property tax and x y zing. Ten minutes later, she
hits me back and my attorney was like, how did
you get in contact with this person? That's amazing. You
really make it happen. But it's because I know the
people who can make it happens resourceful. She is very resourceful.

(03:15):
If you're in Detroit, I feel like you have to
know Shantelle all right, and people love her because you
know people from Detroit. When you bring them any or
they go anywhere, there's like a certain type of like
I don't even know how to say it, like a
personality trait about them where they're like super cool friendly,
but they're very direct. Yeah, definitely direct. She's very direct,

(03:36):
all right, So shout out to Shantell. Shantell the one.
It's her Instagram. And now you guys get to shine
a light on somebody doing something positive. Eight hundred two

People have called up. Somebody called the other day for
ask ye and she was dealing with her son and
mental health episodes that he's having. So tell me what
it is that your wife does when those situations occur. Oh,

(05:30):
she's just very supportive. She told me to calm down
from not to overreact and that usually things that I
think are big or just a very miniscure and I
shouldn't be overreacting. Okay, that's good man, and that it's calming.
I like that you are shining a light on your
on your wife. Yes, I can't wait till one day

propose and get married. Well, see me and my wife

(06:34):
before the pandemic and every actually struck my child with
me being a single father for you know, bringing my

big move for me, for her stepping me and my kids.
You know, it's just like I was in my hand blowing,
you know, I want to get emotional, but yeah, you know,
it's an amazing thing. Man. Love, Black love is real.

(06:56):
Black love is real. I've been telling people that for
the longest. You're all right, well, thank you. I love that.
Let me shine a light on y'all. Seven months and
I tell her we're having a baby, and the congratulations,
thank you as so much. I see a common theme
of women putting up with men. Yeah, I've been I've
been hearing that too. I'm like, oh gosh, yeah, putting

(07:17):
up with some money. Didn't put her through something? Why
are you gonna I'm just asking No, No, we're gonna,
We're gonna, We're gonna help you. Can you have one
of your friends put her through it? So she put
up with when I'm gonna put up with it? Yea?
And what are your friends? Can call anybody I want
to shine a light on ja? It all right? Well

(07:40):

(08:03):

brand is here, yes, and Mayno is here. All right,
and let's get into the Yet. Ryan Coogler is gonna
reboot these series X Files, according to the creator to
Watch Xpiles. Yeah, so they just teased his involvement on
an episode of CVCS on the Coast podcast. So while

(08:25):
the news hasn't been confirmed, we'll see what happens. He
did black Panther, right, yes, yeah, yeah, that's the that's
the guy guy, all right. Um, and I just watched
for kandor forever. Finally, finally, finally, I watched it on
a plane. I wanted so every time I try to
go to the movies to see it. It was sold
out when it first came out, and then I was
super busy. Yeah, I watched it on a plane. I

(08:46):
was emotional watching that movie. I was. I was sitting
in and theater with my arms crossed like this. I
definitely was like, kill him. Yeah, you know, if you
didn't see the movie the spoiler. But I guess one
saw it by now, all right, And Grownish is gonna
end with season six on free Forms. They're gonna have
episodes debuting this summer for the season. Well, I guess

(09:09):
the premier's coming. This season's coming to an end. It's
gonna air in two parts, the first half of a
premiere this summer, and then the second part real air
in twenty twenty four. Six leaved seasons is a good run. Yeah,
that's a nice run, because how long can you be
in college? Right? You never watched Grownish, Singleish, Blackish, But
I'm a fan of Kenya Barros though. I like it,

(09:31):
I like it stuff though. Yeah, shout out to Kenya Barris.
He actually hit me up recently just to show me
some support. He was like, if you need anything, call me. Yeah,
that's all right. But um on the final season, Little Yati,
he's gonna be a guest Anderson Pack and so it's
also gonna hit it's one hundredth episode during season six.
Okay all right, an NBA Young Boy and Nicki Minaj

(09:51):
have announced a collab, so I know you guys are
excited for this, and so a feature from Nicki Minaj
is gonna be on NBA Young Boy, Don't Try This
at Home, And NBA Young Boy also has the official
pre order link for that. It's going to be thirty
three songs what's the Single? While April twenty first, it
comes out what's the single? Call WTF? Okay? I like that?

(10:13):
What the all right? So get ready for this? You
can pre order again on April seventh, and then the
whole project comes out on April twenty first, okay, all right,
and and in more new songs and projects, metche Booming
and Jid have revealed plans for a joint album, so
get ready for a full length collaboration with them now.
Metche boom And said, got a lot on new music coming.

(10:34):
But when me and Jid drop and then he put
all the fire emojis. Okay, I'm not familiar with Jid.
You're nuts, not at all. Oh, honestly, you would really
like Jed a lot. Okay, I think we know what.
We're gonna listen to some of that outside of here, Okay, perfect,
put me on you'll get from there. You'll really like him. Okay,
what about you, Amino? I know who he is. I
haven't really tapped into the music though, Okay, the three

(10:54):
of us need to tap in and ant can school
us on. Yeah, because I interviewed him before. I definitely
listened to his projects. Just you know, whenever I do
an interview, I always make sure I like, yeah, really
pay attention and listen and listen. He's really dope. He's
from Atlanta too, right, Yeah, he's from Atlanta. Cool. All right,
Well that is your yet, and you know, we have
a lot going on today because O, Marion, it's gonna
be joining us. Can you sing his name again? Marion?

(11:17):
That is that singing? Yeah? Okay, all right, but from
of me time, she says, Oh, Marion is like you,
always thinking of groceries. I can't help it. It's my fuck, okay,
jasman needs a hook up, y'all. Feel y'all make me
feel and sound so desperate, that's all right. The fact
that you didn't see Creed three, it's bothering me. And

(11:39):
I was supposed to be Yeah, but I was supposed
to hook up up to get somebody to take Nana,
was supposed to find me a date and take me
to Yeah, you did feel me. It's okay. There's enough
movies around. It's your faun, yeah it is. Creed three
is probably on cable now know too late, it'll be
another movie. You can find me a man. The moment
already broke box office record without my date. All right,

(12:00):
Well that is your yet, And when we come back,
we have about last night. And guess what it's all about,
you MANO, it's we're up with Angela yet. So about
last night? Last night went down? About last night? This
is what we did last night now, mano. Yeah, it
is Ramadan. We know you're coming in here. You can't
eat until the sun goes down, right, But we want

(12:22):
to know what happened when the sun went down last night? Yeah, pressure,
I'll tell you that. Hanging out with the guys Me, Fab,
Jim Jones, Um Daves, Joey, badass New York, real, real,
real New York. It's famous, is it? So? Is it so? Yes?
I wouldn't say so, go ahead, they don't continue the story.
So you know, we went to the premier of Tiana's

(12:44):
new movie, you know, A thousand and one shot, very good.
We were talking about it. That look really good. Yeah,
and and and I'm really proud of Tiana. I like
I like the pivot right. And then you know, we
were hanging out at the after party. We went to
a Legos and I was you know, I was eating
broke my fast. Yeah, I was hungry. Okay, right, so
you know what did you eat? I had a fried

(13:05):
rice with a chicken. And do you have to like
not eat too much because sometimes just that make like
shrinks when you don't eat. Supposed to take like a
date because of date? Yeah, okay, right, so I did
that and then you know, as it turned me too
like a little party bob. Okay, it may not love
the party shot a clock started and and and I

(13:28):
see a fresh bottle of Classia zoo that Tiana just
went and gotten fresh bottle, fresh bottle with the bell thing.
And I see, uh, I see shot glasses. And I'm
saying to myself, I'm whispering the fab like now you know,
I'm on it. I'm on this. And he's like, man,
it's it's after the sun is down. Okay, take one drink.
He started pouring drinks and it was just like pressure.

(13:50):
But I stood, I stood. I stood steadfast though. Okay, good,
good for you. Good. So you didn't have no drinks.
I didn't have no drinks. So you're gonna do this
whole Ramadan with drinks with no alcohol? You no alcohol? Man,
We're no discipline, is what. I don't know. What's the
rest of that statement. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know.
Is a man at all like it? You know how

(14:16):
y'all I'm a working progress at that time. That's also
working project. Here we go. But yeah, so that sounded
like a little bit of pair of pressure. Yeah, but
I stayed down tin toes down, okay, because we love that. Yeah,
all right, man, and we're so And you see, we've
been good with you up here. We haven't been pressuring
you during the day. We hadn't had a drink. I

(14:38):
walk right right in here. First of all, you might
as well. You got food laying right here. You got
cookies as well. In my defense, the first day I
didn't know you were doing ramada, so I had snacks
for you. The second day was uh Angela's executive producer
of the show, Dan put cookies in front of your
station as a state, in front of your mic, right
and you were a little irritated by that. Yeah, well,

(15:00):
what would you would you do me like that? The
old man, I would have no. I wish ya would
say I was here today, he said, So there's never
reason again violent for self defense. But that's the only
reason I'm like. I like the boy she just gave you.

(15:20):
What are you saying there's no reason again? I was
not for no reason. It was a little bit small,
more smooth than that. I don't know. We can talk
about that anyway. Thank you, Mana for sharing with us
and we're here to support you. Thank you anyway. Possible.
Thank you all right, what that was about last night?

(15:41):
It is way up with Angela Yee. And when we
come back, we have comedian Jess Pam. You know what's
on Thursday, So we always do Mastery of Comedy. And
I want to shout out to my girl just Pam again.
Make sure y'all follow her. She is hilarious. And we
got a little nugget with Jess Pam. When we come back,
it's way up with Angela Yee. You way up with
Angela Yee. The Plastic Cupboys, for people who don't know,

(16:03):
that is Kevin Hart's group. Kevin Harness applies the cup Boys.
So when they're on tour with Kevin, I work at
McDonald's on fro. But when they're not on tour with Kevin,
they have their own tour that they do. So when
they're on tour alone, then on with them. So and
they have a special on Netflix. Right yeah, yeah, because

(16:23):
I watched that, I'm laughing my mask off. Now tell
me how you even hooked up with them. Nai Lynn
from Plastic cup Boys is actually a childhood friend of mine.
My name is gonna kill me for telling the story,
but he knows this is my story. So when I
was like five night he needs a little Acrosstreet from
my grandmother, and I used to go play with him,
and he had this little yellow bouncy horse. Was he

(16:44):
grumpy back then too? He was not grown? Okay, So
I had this little yellow bouncy horse and I used
to go play with the horse. He used to always
get on the back of my horse. So in my
mind we went together. In my mind, I trying to
visualize not even on the back of back of my right. No,
I never let the story go. But literally we're just
childhood friends. And you know, he went off to college

(17:06):
and became a comedian, and you know, I was just
out here, you know, working a regular job and stuff.
And then you know, finally I was like, I'm gonna
try it. And I reached out to him first and
was like, you know what you think of this? He
was like, just try it, you know, do it. And
I tried it one time and it was pretty addictive
and I was actually pretty good at it, and I
just kept going. So tell me about that first time,

(17:29):
because I've seen some people in their first ever sex previously,
and some people feel like they can just do it, like, okay,
I'm funny. Let me just get on stage. What was
your first time? Like, my first time wasn't It wasn't
even that bad. It was actually pretty good. I think
I did like twelve thirteen minute, had a long time. Well,
he was telling it's like four rounds in boxing, it's

(17:49):
a long time. Because I felt like twelve thirteen minutes
and it was like awesome. And when I got off stage,
there was somebody there who saw me and was like,
I got a show coming up and I want you
on it. Wow. That never and it never stopped from
that moment. What you did to prepare for that? Literally
it was a day before. I called somebody and was like, Hey,
if you wanted to be a comedian, what do you do?

(18:10):
How does this work? He was like, meet me at
this spot tomorrow at EAT And I showed up at
the spot. I didn't have no set. I had nothing.
I know that's bold. Yes, the day before and it
was literally just off of me asking him like what if?
And this is my what if? Right now we are
in the middle of Mastery of Comedy. We have the
only woman who's part of the Plastic Cupboys. That is

(18:32):
just Pam. Now, when you said you had a regular
job first before you decided to go, and what's the
regular job. Yee, I still have a regular job. Okay, No,
people need to know that. They might think Pam posting
all these flyers and having all these shows and hanging
out with Kevin Hart and naim Lynn and Donnell Rawlings,

(18:53):
but you still have a regular job. To have a
regular job, Okay. I am a customer supers manager at
year old company. Okay, so I deal with payroll like
I got a serious job, John, So that's what I do.
And I've been in like retail management for like forever,
so that's always what I did. So it was hard

(19:14):
to get into comedy because I was always working like
one to eleven or you know those weird tom frames.
So I could never even really find time to do shows.
So when my when my parents died, that was like
the breaking point for me. Both of my parents passed
away during COVID. My mom and dad passed away like
a month apart. Wow, that's tough. And during that whole

(19:37):
time frame I was already into comedy. My mother was
like my biggest fan, Like she pushed and pushed me
and was like so excited, like if she knew I
was here right now, she would be outside in the hallway.
I she is like that person. So when they passed away,
there was like so much going on at the same time.

(19:57):
I remember being, um, I forgot what city were were in,
and we were with the Classic cup Boys somewhere, and
I was like on zoom with my mom, like like
literally final stage, and as I'm hanging up literally I'm
hanging up the phone and they're like coming to the stage,
just paying and I was like and I ended up
having like one of my greatest performances on stage, and
everybody was like how to this day, I don't I

(20:20):
still don't know how I was able to pull that out.
But through that whole period, I never cancel the performance.
I never, you know. I think the day of my
father's funeral, I had a show that night. It was
I had to keep going, and that was like my relief.
That was my outlet. But I feel like now my

(20:40):
mom is like God in my ship. It's so weird.
Everything that I say kind of comes to pass, you know.
I was like, you know, I want to meet angela ye.
I remember saying that I didn't I promised you about
you actually yea. Yeah. I was like, I want to
meet Angela ye you know, I want to do this
and every thing, and I said I wanted to do happen.

(21:02):
That's amazing, yep. So I just keep speaking at positivity
and to exist this because it's happening. One of some
of the hardest things about this as a career, though,
for people who don't know, the hardest thing is it's
not even about being funny. It's really more so about
trying to get noticed. It's it's about trying to get

(21:23):
somebody to see something in you that nobody else can see.
Everybody was like, oh, she reminds me of a young Monique.
Oh she reminds me of this, this, this, And then
you see my set and be like, I've never seeing
anybody like her, you know, and I think we could
do this with her, you know. So the hardest thing
right now for me is like trying to find that

(21:44):
agent that's gonna benefit me. You know. I don't want
to be represented as yep, she just the big girl
comic and she's just gonna come out here and the
big girl just Pam. But that's but that's how they
want to represent me. They want they want to brand
me as that, and I don't mind it because that's
what I represent. But I want you to see past that.
I don't want you to only see that when you

(22:06):
see me. I want you to be like, forget the female,
forget the black, forget the big girl. This woman was funny.
That's it. Well, Jess Pam. Let everybody know how they
can find you and us, so keep up with you,
go to the shows, watch the sketches, all of that. Yes,
you can find me on social media on Instagram, and
I am underscore, Jess Pam. All right, Jess Pam, thank

(22:28):
you so much. This is Mastery a comedy on Way
Up with Angela Yee. And when we come back, we
have yet we'll be talking about finding your roots. Van
Jones went on, and he got quite emotional when he
learned about his ancestors. Mayno's gonna do this too. By
the way, it's way up with Angela Yee. She's like
to talk like they Angela Yean, like they Angela Yee.

(22:49):
She's spilling it all this yet, well, what's up? It's
way up with Angela Yee and it is time for
that YEATI Mayno is here, Jess from the Jasmine Brand
is here. Happy Thursday. Yes, it's Happy Thursday. We love it.
You love Thursday. It's your favorite day. Birthday is my
favorite day of Why because it's right before Friday and

(23:09):
almost Friday. Yes, almost Friday. It's Friday, Eve. I love
to Eve. And um, let's get into this yet. Finding
your Roots. Van Jones is on that show, okay, And
what's really interesting is that he learned his ancestors were
free before slavery ended. Here is what that sounded like
when he got this information. N what's that mean? Does

(23:30):
it mean they're white? O? What's the only alternative? They
weren't slaves, so they were free people free. That's crazy.
So your kirkn Doll family was free thirteen years before
the Emancipation Proclamation. I'm glad to hear that. There hard
time even getting my head there didn't even occurring to

(23:51):
me that would be a possibility. Man, I ain't gonna lie.
Finding your Roots is an amazing idea for a show.
I want to do it. I need to find out
when let's get you one. Let's get mad on finding
a root. Yeah yeah, whether the producer is, can you
hit up so we can stem up? You know, a
lot of people been on there. Um, Viola Davis was
on there. We saw that one Dim Costa, Julia Roberts,

(24:13):
Edward Norton to Mary Mary. Yeah yeah, so mano on
there and then you know you're gonna get emotional. Why
not you why you're gonna get emotional? Do you know
anything about your roots? Like? No, I know that my um,
my mother's family is from Saint Thomas to Saint Croix. Okay, right, so,
but by way of where right right by where awhere?

(24:34):
And then my father I don't even know. I just
know that he was light skinned, right, okay, And I
don't know where his family is from. I don't know
if that I'm not even sure about. Oh, he definitely
grew up in New York. My mother was born here,
but my grandmother was born in Saint Thomas. Okay, she
she her mother was Puerto Rican. Okay, well you are

(24:55):
all mixed up. That would be great for you. I
s no, Lie, We're going to set this up and
then we might find out like me and Jasmine is related,
probably all related because you get on my nerve lucky
my brother, Oh man, that would be crazy. Now I
really want to do that, though, that's something that I
always wanted to do. Okay, And speaking of things people
have always wanted to do, Mary J. Blige was on

(25:16):
The Lady Show with Stephen Colbert and she talked about
the role that she's always wanted to play. Here's what
she said. I always wanted to play Nina Simone because
I want to learn how to play the piano. I
want to learn how to you know, and I love
her songs are very dark and moody, and I can
always find a place for that. So yeah, I definitely
wanted to want to play her. Man, that would be amazing.
I think that would be a good look. I think

(25:37):
that that's a good casting action. Yeah, I told you
I went to go see Nina Simone. You did. It
was one of the most amazing concerts and amazing moments
like experiences that I ever had at never listened to
the music, Yes, well she listened to obviously because she would.
I've never seen it. Have you ever seen Nina Simone
in concert? No? Never, I've never seen a concert, but
I watched her though, like I've seen her documentary. Yes, yes,

(25:59):
And I feel like Mary J. Blige has the depth
to play that role. And you know what kind of
pain she'll be drawn from. We would love to say
she has the new children's but got by the way,
it's called Mary can cut all right. And Lionel Richie,
he was recently on the View with his American idol
fellow judges Katy Perry and Luke Bryan, and he was

(26:19):
talking about how All Night Long is no longer All
night long. Here's what he had to say when I
wrote All night Long was truly all that long? Now
my All night long is down to a fierce fifteen minutes.
But don't worry about right. It's fifteen minutes a good
amount of time. Yeah, that's that's about average. Sometimes what

(26:43):
you wanted to go? How long? Fifteen minutes? It's okay.
But it's not like I don't want that all the time.
Sometimes I would like a little longer sometimes, No, fifteen
or twenty minutes is probably average, maybe even shorter than
that if you look it up. I think the average
sex is probably between Have you've looked it up? Alo,
can you do a deep dive? You ain't? You ain't

(27:04):
getting no thirty forty minutes average sex time straight Angela.
Angela's shock is shocked right now, what's the average sex time, Angela?
It says here three to seven minutes, told you, and
then it says vaginal sex at last ten to thirty
minutes is considered too long. But this is is according
to a survey. But this is a fact. You never
had sex thirty minutes straight? Yeah, yes, I have for

(27:27):
sure by ever. Yeah that common. No, it's not. I
would like. I would like somewhere between fifty and thirty.
He was on something. If he did thirty, no, I
don't think so, I don't know. Well, listen, okay, Lionel
Richie says, now he only last fifteen minutes, So I
guess that's not bad, because that's that's good for seventy three.
I actually met Lionel Richie. Look, I have a story

(27:48):
for everything. At the iHeart Festival last year. Everybody I
was at the iHeart Festival. He was performing. I was
backstage and I normally wouldn't be. I was like, oh,
lion Richie, because he was past me. He said, he's
giving a fierce fifteen. I like that. I'm giving a
good twenty two. That's it. I like that you're saying hello,
but you're saying the hello version from kess and the no,

(28:09):
that's his version. Hello. Hello, he's saying the right version,
but the way you did it just now sounded No.
I'm good, Yeah, I got the line voice, I'm good,
I'm good. I'm all right. Well that is your yet
And when we come back, we have under the Radar.
These are stories that are not necessarily headline news. They
are flying under the radar but still important. It's way

(28:30):
up with Angela Yee. It's in the news that relates
to you. These stories are flying under the radar. What's up.
It's way up with Angela Yee. And it is time
for under the Radar with Mano Yes and Jasmine from
the Jasmine Brand. I'm here And these are stories that
aren't headline news, but we definitely want to make sure
you know about them and that you're aware we feel
that they're just as important. Okay, all right, And this

(28:51):
one's really sad. This Florida couple has been kidnapped in Haiti.
They were an American couple on a trip to Haiti
and they've been held for ransom. Now the story keeps changing.
I know you saw this Mayo and jazzminthe yeah, yeah,
So right now they're asking for two hundred thousand dollars
per person ransom, because that's four hundred thousand dollars altogether.
That is John Dickins Toussaint and his wife Abigail Toussaint.

(29:14):
They were abducted while they were there for a festival
and a family visit the According to a news outlet,
they were on a bus from part of Prince when they,
along with their escort, were taken. Now, initially, the kidnappers
asked for six thousand dollars for the couple's release, right,
which it does, which doesn't sound like a lot compared
to the next number that they wanted. Somebody told them
they could get more. Yeah, yeah, and you know, I

(29:37):
believe they gave them like two thousand dollars. They were
getting ready to give them that money, and then the
kidnappers said, you know what, two hundred thousand dollars per person.
They said, Once we sent the money, they tried to
up the price and they were like, we don't have
that type of money. The family does not have that money.
And so the FBI has neither confirmed or denied an
investigation into the kidnapping. But that's you know, they're guidelines.

(30:00):
They don't really do. That was the escort taken with
them too, the kidnapped. Yeah, they were kidnapped the escort too.
And they have a child together that just had a birthday. Yeah,
and you know, the family is saying that they were worried.
They told them not to go, but they wanted to go.
And according to the family, and this woman, Christie, she
identifies herself as their niece, she said, I do have

(30:23):
the worst case scenario playing in my head, but obviously
I don't want that to happen. We just want to
hear their voice as proof that they are still alive.
Oh my gosh. And right right now, the US State
Department labels Haiti under the Level four do not Travel
advisory and that's as of December twenty twenty two. Okay,
night man, Yeah that is. I'm praying for their safe
return though, sure, all right. And the FDA has approved

(30:43):
our can for over the counter sales. We've been following
this story for a while. They've been trying to get
this done. That's a prescription nasal spray that reverses opioid overdoses,
So now it's over the counter. Okay, that's what the
cops use. Oh, it is. Yeah, so like it was,
it was footage of a cop odn by mistake because
she ran up on somebody that has some drugs on

(31:03):
them and they had fentanol in it, and then she
was going through I don't know, like a siege or
something and they use that. Oh wow. Yeah yeah, So
you know this is going to be available for people
in big box chains and vending machines even and the supermarkets,
convenience stores, gas stations, even online with retailers. I think
they need this in clubs, and I think they need
this in schools too, but I don't. I don't I

(31:25):
mean like immediate access, you know, No, they just probably
just sell it and then just who I was just
using drugs just keep it in their pocket. Yeah. Yeah.
It kind of like if you know you have an
allergic reaction like an EpiPen, you think you're having an
OD just yeah. I mean, I don't know how that works.
But what this does is it blocks an opioids effect
on the brain. And so as this overdose crisis has worsened,

(31:46):
there's been more than one hundred thousand drug related deaths
in the US for each of the last two years,
and so for people who use drugs for their friends,
for their relatives. Being able to access this prescription medication
has been kind of hard for some people. And so
what they had before was access laws in every state
that allows pharmacists to have a standing prescription so that
they can dispense that to anybody who requested. But many

(32:07):
pharmacies choose not to do so. You know, they prefer
not to engage customers around a list of drug use,
especially without a doctor's oversight. And so now this over
the counter status will make it a lot easier. And um,
the only thing that could be a problem now is
the cost of it. Okay, I'm all for this. Why now?
Two dose pack up prescription is often free if you're
covered by Medicaid or private insurance, or you have a

(32:29):
copy of less than ten dollars. But now, for instance,
in Manhattan, one pharmacy is charging ninety eight dollars for
the box, and then there's another chain in New Jersey
that charges seventy three dollars. I'm gonna get me some, yeah,
just to have right in case you bump into somebody.
Keep in somebody they got drugs on their lips. Oh
you need to fear so I thought you was out

(32:50):
here trying to save someone else's life. I was, but
I didn't know where Mayno was going with it. That's
what I thought. I thought. You know, may don't like
to kiss. That's not true. But I'm saving ladies. May
don't like the kids. Okay, Sugar, give me some sugar,
all right? Well that is um, you're under the radar

(33:12):
stories and it's way up with Angela yee. When we
come back, we have the Way Up mix coming at
the top of the hour plus a. Marian, we'll be
joining us here. That I did that again, Marian, that
was your singing, boy. Yeah, but you got it like groceries.
Oh what a line to sing, all the lines. That's
where we're wearing. Sugar. Well, he's gonna be joining us.

(33:34):
It's a way up with Angela yee. It says truth
in the room, from industry shade to all the gossip.
Angela's spelling at what's up. It's way up with Angela ye.
I'm Angela yee. And Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand is
here Happy Thursday, so new man in the building. And

(33:55):
Rosie Perez is in the cover of Variety, and she
really told it all all right, she's starring in The
Flight Attendant, And she talked about her former agent. She
did not name her former agent, but she said that
she was encouraged to undergo cosmetic surgery and that was
how she could land more roles early in her career.
She said, I don't want her to be canceled. But
she told me that if I did my hair blind

(34:16):
and got a nose job, I can get you more
jobs because you're not black. She said, I couldn't believe it.
I was like, oh my goodness, like thank you. Fired.
And then she said after she fired her agent, she
had nobody, she had no money, and she said the
agent in question also encourage her to pass for white.
Can you believe that? But a lot of people did
get um nose jobs. She didn't do it, though, did

(34:37):
you No? She didn't do it. She fired her agent.
I love Rosie Perez. I feel like I grew up
all of her man like, do the right thing, white
man can't jump. Yeah, her new agent helped her book
do the right thing, and her new agent got her
do the right thing, got her white man can't jump,
and that's what really jump started her career. But she
said there is still a really long way to go
for representation. It's just not enough. And when we do

(34:58):
get our series told, we had some exact who knows
nothing about who we are as people, and they're like,
can you spice it up a little bit? You want
to punch these people in the face, and then if
it's too real there, could you pull it back? Because
we don't want the audience to feel offended and people
are getting sick of it. I think that's the reason
why Everything Everywhere, All at Once was such a big winner.
That's the movie at the Oscars, that one, like all
of the bigger ones. I think it was like seven Oscars.

(35:20):
I still got to watch it. We tried, didn't we. Yeah, Okay,
maybe Manner, you could set Jasmine up with a date
night to watch. Well, it might be good for him
because I'll definitely not gonna watch that. You watch it
ate nice now. In addition, she also talked about making
peace with Spike Lee Okay, okay, so you know she

(35:42):
did audition for Do the Right Thing. She said, people
think that Spike just discovered me and gave me the role. No,
he made me work for it. And she had talked
about how uncomfortable she was over a nude scene in
the movie. But she said, in our cancel culture, some
people need to be canceled. And when I was telling
the story, people were ready to cancel Spike Lee and
cancel me for saying something. And I was like, you
know what this is getting out of him? She said,

(36:03):
here's the thing. It happened, We discussed it, we made up,
we hugged it out, and we're still friends to this day.
And sometimes people need a chance to say I'm sorry
for a manifest dasture, to say I'm sorry. It's huge.
But that's why I don't like to talk about it
because people get too crazy. Is that the scene with
the ice? Yeah? Remember that? That feel like that would
be so uncomfortable, I know. And you know you can't
just do it one time. You gotta do it multiple

(36:23):
times in the room with a bunch of people and
then everybody sees it forever too. Yeah. And that role
that they played, right, it just seems so perfect, like
she was just so perfect for that. Just so the
head just sounds like crazy to me because it felt
like that they were made for those roles. She's good actress. Yeah,
all right, now let's talk about another role. Oh, Marion.

(36:44):
You know, he has his docuseries out yes Omega, The
Gift and the Curse, And recently he was on Sway
in the morning and today he's going to be on
here with Way Up with Angela. Ye okay. But when
he was on the way, he talked about meeting Tay Digs.
Here's what he had to say. I just met him
for the first time, and he seems like a cool dude,
you know what I mean. And he has kids of
his own, so you know, and he's an older man,

(37:06):
so you know, I only expect, you know, good things
from him. How did that meet him? Go? It was cool.
We met at at my son's It was a class
project and he came through and yeah, it was cool,
nice to meet you. It's all good now Tay Diggs.
Of course, like he said, it's dating his children's mother,
April Jones, and so you know he's around the kids.

(37:28):
You gotta make sure y'all all know each other, right,
you know, I mean, as long as I could beat
him up. Oh my god, who are you thinking when
when a fight between Tay Diggs and O Marian? Oh wow,
I was thinking me So I never was. Do you
think it could beat up Diggs. Yeah, definitely, you need
beat up O Marion. No, he could probably beat Omaron.
I'm just joking, but goodness, that doesn't fight anything. I'm

(37:50):
just playing violent non violet. All right, Well that is
your yet. And when we come back at his Women's
History Month where we are celebrating women and to day,
we're gonna be talking to somebody live in the flesh,
Kamara Jones. She is the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs
and the top communicator at the Department of Health and
Human Services. So get ready for it. Happy Women's History Month.

(38:13):
It's way up with Angela Yee celebrating the ladies doing
Women's History Month. All right, well, you know it is
Women's History Month on the way up with Angela Yee,
and we have a very special guest in the studio
with us. Thank you. I'm so excited. I didn't even
get to do that's all excited. Kamara Jones is here,
acting Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the US Department

(38:35):
of Health and Human Services. Yes, yes, did I get
that right? You've got it. That's a title. It is
a long title, and I can tell you what it
means very shortly. I'm the top communicator at the US
Department of Health and Human Services. This is the department
that is responsible for enhancing the health and well being
of all Americans and also strengthening supports for children and families.

(38:55):
So we are ninety thousand people strong in terms of employees,
and we have a nearly three trillion dollar budget. So
and you're the top communicator. Yeah. So I lead the
Office of the Assistant Secretary Republic Affairs. We have eighty employees.
We have several divisions, Broadcast Division, Freedom of Information Act,
Office Press, social Media, speech writing, and we do it all.

(39:19):
But we are the top communications department at the at
the department. We oversee all of the communications departments at
the agency. So Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the
Food and Drug Administration got them a lot. Yeah. Okay,
Now at the Department of Health and Human Services right now, right, yeah,

(39:39):
what is going on? Are we still in a pandemic?
So COVID is not disrupting our lives the way it was,
And that's because the Biden Harris administration has made a
concerted effort to make sure vaccines, tests and treatments are
widely available, including and underserved communities so we can live
our daily lives. Now, is COVID still with us? Yes,

(40:00):
about I think two hundred and fifty people die a day.
And then with these variants that keep on changing, some
people will be like, oh, I'm glad I never got
the vaccination because now it's different. And then they're saying
this is not effective against this. I just want you
to break all of that down. Then there's also new
vaccinations that come and they're like, this one's outdated. So
the latest vaccine is the updated COVID vaccine. You may

(40:21):
hear it referred to as the bivalent vaccine or the
bivalent booster. We call it the updated COVID vaccine that
will give you the highest level of protection against the
latest variants. We're still monitoring COVID to see what, if
any new variants we need to be worried about. But
right now, as long as you have that updated COVID vaccine,
you're gonna greatly reduce your risk of severe illness, hospitalization,

(40:46):
and death. And among those who get COVID, if you're vaccinated,
you're less likely to get the symptoms related to long COVID.
Now it is come into a close of women's history mind.
So I want to make sure we do celebrate and
I know you have some women that you want to
make sure that you honor. Yeah, And I have to
back up a bit, so I told you I lead
the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at

(41:08):
the US Department of Health and Human Services. A mouthful,
and we're running a campaign right now featuring women health
professionals who played a key role during the pandemic. And
one of them is a New York City nurse. Her
name is Sandra Lindsay. She was the first person, after
the clinical trials to get the COVID vaccine here in
New York City. She's in conversation, so we have an

(41:29):
ad with her and doctor Kizmikia Corbett and doctor Kizmikia Corbett.
She's at Harvard now, but she was at the National
Institutes of Health. Have you talked her before. I've seen
her on the news, Yeah, And doctor Fauci talks about
her a lot. So you know, there was some hesitancy
and several communities when it came to the vaccines, including
the black community. And one of the things we were
telling people, which is true, is a black person helped

(41:51):
create the vaccine. And the person we were talking about
is doctor Kizmikia Corbett, so she's in an ad. We
also have doctor Aidas Stewart, who a family physician. She's
actually the chair of the American Academy, a family physician.
She didn't get her medical degree until she was forty.
Wow that and she talks about Yeah, she talks about
the kids that she was working with as a resident.

(42:12):
She's now they're a doctor now that they're in their teens,
and she's really about closing gaps in her community. We
also have doctor Moira Salagi. She's a pediatrician. She thought
she was going to be an intercrinologist, but she was
talking to a kid one day and it made her
realize that her true calling was to be a pediatrician.
And then, last but not LEAs. Another one of our

(42:33):
very own is doctor NAMANJ. Bumpus, who's the chief scientist
at the US Food and Drug Administration. She's the second
black person in the role. She had her own lab
at Johns Hopkins. Nice and so we have a lot
of glass ceiling breakers in this campaign that we're running.
And I told you our slogan is we can do this.
So our slogan for this particular campaign is women can

(42:55):
do this. So all right, and I love the fact that,
By the way, I just want to point out that
Kamara Jones did not need not one note to be
now what she was talking. I wonder when she memorized
you are good and this is impressive. But honestly, we
want to thank you so much for coming through and
giving us this valuable information, and we want to make
sure that we honor you as well. You know, it's
Women's History Month and the work that you're doing is

(43:15):
so important and you're uplifting other women as you climb
to thank you. Kamara Jones, thank you so much. Where
can people find you? Oh? Gosh, h dot gov um,
Oh actually I'm on Twitter, HHS Underscore spokes spo X
so picture too. I thank you, Pope Glasses and the
pearls uh see you all right. Well, thank you so much,

(43:38):
Kamara Jones for joining us again to ze acting Assistant
Secretary for Public Affairs at the US Department of Health
and Human Services. And it is Women's History months, so
we celebrate Kamara Jones. And when we come back, Oh,
Marianne is going to be joining us. It's way up
with Angela Yee. No back ye, what's up is right

(44:00):
yep for Angela Yee, I'm Angela Yee. And Jazzmine from
the Jasmine brand is here. Yes, I'm here. Yes. And
what I'm excited about right now is we r in Detroit. Yes.
I love it here, fy I know you know me too.
This is like your second home. Yeah, this is nice
stamping grounds. But I'm actually here to do something at
Pencil Louis College and I'm working with PEPSI on this,
and so it's just really celebrating the students here, showing

(44:23):
support for them, and also showing support for the work
and their futures and the design industry. You know that
I've been doing a lot in Detroit and investing in
the city for years and so design. I think just
just seeing these kids developing their own eye for design
is also really important. And I want to see some
of the creative designs that the students are going to
be showcasing. So that's what we're here for. Yeah, I'm excited.

(44:45):
I can't wait to see everything. Yeah. And what I
love about this too, this is the only HBCU in Michigan. Yeah,
I'm excited about that too. I didn't know that Michigan
didn't have any HBCUs, but they're not a lot across
the country, so it's not surprising. Yeah, and this is,
by the way, also the only arts focused HBCU in
the United States. Oh that's major. I didn't know that

(45:06):
I want to HBCU. I went to Morgan State University
in Baltimore. But that's super impressive though. Yeah. So that's
Pencil Louis College of Business and Design and so and
I'm looking at their website doing a deep dive, and
you know what their mission is. They said, we exist
to lead and empower the progressive creative to create a
better individual and collective future. So, yes, it's the nation's

(45:27):
first ever reinstated HBCU. A lot of first going on here. Yeah,
I love it, and so I'm excited. And you know,
once I finished later today, I'm gonna let y'all know
how it goes on about last night. But we're also
doing the show from out here in Detroit, and we
actually have a brand new studio. This is I like,
what do you think about the studio? Angela? First of all,
love the location because it was quite a drive before. Yeah,

(45:47):
that's what you were telling me before it was a
little further. Yes, And so we're gonna have a good time.
But what I would love for you guys to do
while we're out here, we're just looking for some really
fun places to go to. So if you guys could
just at us, yes at way up with yee, and
you can also add at Angela ye at you want
it's Jasmine brand, at the Jasmine okay, at the Jasmine brand.
Just at all of us, and just let us know

(46:08):
where you think we should go to eat, where we
should go to shop. You know, we love this city,
but what she live is the black owned businesses, yes,
black owned, but also food. We love food. An I'm
looking Angela so hard in her eyes, like girl, we
need the food, so so add us and tell us
where we need to eat for sure. All right, well
let's wait up with Angela yee. When we come back, Amaran,
we'll be joining us. I can't see his name, regular Marian?

(46:31):
What's your favorite A Marian song? Uh? I got the
ice box with my heart. You don't have to dance
with it? Okay, all right, Well that's gonna be fine.
So he has a new docuseries that's on It's on
All Black and on WE TV, and we're going to
talk to him about it. Plus he has some new
stuff going on that I know he's gonna want to discuss.
It's way up with Angela yee, Angela yee. All right,

(46:56):
well a Marian is here. Here we go already start.
Didn't know, but I okay, so we did watch the
whole documentary. Yeah, we watched it on All Black. We did.
So congratulations on getting that done. Thank you really entertaining yea,
thank you. I was like, but I also understood why
Razby might have had some issues, okay, you know, because

(47:19):
there were things on there, and like it feels like
you had a lot of patience with him, but sometimes
it would wear thin. But it feels like he goes
through a lot. He does, you know, outside of there
he does and he has and you know, this was
just a peek into some of the issues that we're
going on, you know what I mean that we were
able to capture, But it was so much going on

(47:40):
on that tour and that experience, and you know why
it was really important for me to share that, It's
because I've never shared my perspective you know, or gave
my insight to you know, why things are the way
that they have been. And then we get to see
you setting boundaries for yourself too, which is important for people.
Right And even there's one scene with Pleasure Pe and

(48:03):
he's like trying to come in and he got really upset.
Yeah that you were like, okay, you know, not right now,
Like I'm trying to get ready. I need to have
myself set up in a certain way. And then you
guys obviously were cool again after that. Yeah, like everybody
fighting them makes up and then I feel like that's
a guy thing. I kind of like that about guys. Yeah, well,
you know, that particular situation was I was just coming

(48:26):
off stage, and usually when I'm coming off stage, you know,
there is like a high you know that I'm that
I'm going through. I just performed for an hour. You know,
I'm huffing and puffing the whole time. So I need
time to just sit with myself and bring myself down.
And you know, he has kind of a sort of
open door policy, you know for people that you know,
he just leaves his door over. And that's not really

(48:47):
my style, you know what I'm saying, And her friend. Yeah, yeah,
unless it's swinging or some some other pretty women that
are Actually if they I'm just saying, if they see
me huffing and puffling, they might hand me a chill.
They're not gonna be asking me about business or whatever.
You know what I'm saying. But it was cool that
we were able to get past that. You know what
I'm saying, another truth bomb, you know what I mean that.

(49:11):
You know, when you're showing up in certain spaces, everybody
you know might not agree and or respect, and it's
really important that you create that sense of peace for yourself,
especially when we're talking about, you know, delivering a performance.
Did any of your group members have any issues with
the documentary? Hell yeah, I remember posted right away. Yeah,

(49:31):
he felt it was his trauma that was on there
and we got to see it play out right with
Jay Bug where he had the T shirt made that
said I don't feel safe yea, and people didn't understand
what Rasby was upset at about the time. I did
think that was very malicious. I didn't like that. Well,
you know, the truth is stranger than fiction sometimes, you know,
and it's deeper than even you know, what is always

(49:53):
displayed you know what I mean, because it has to
do with people's psychology and how they see things. It's
never been my position to you know, exploit people's pain,
but to tell the truth. You know, sometimes you know,
just people off. You know, the truth cuts both ways
in that in that aspect. So what is your definition
of unbothered because you, i mean obviously have a book

(50:15):
and everyone you know, like everyone calls you unbothered. Yeah,
it's not that you don't address things, because you would
like to make that clear because people were like, he's unbothered,
why would he do this? Then? Yeah, but that's not
the definition. Yeah. So, so being unbothered is is taking
the stands to maintain your own personal power. You know,
the outside world a lot of the time, you know,

(50:37):
can pull you out of that, you know what I mean.
And you know a lot of people react to life,
but being unbothered is about being thoughtful and responding instead
of reacting. So being unbothered is just about maintaining your
own personal power. And I feel like you were very
calculating as far as knowing that you were going to
have this documentary because it's tour was years ago, right,
and so knowing all the time that you have this

(50:59):
footage and people might be saying things, but you're like
they're about to see Yeah, yeah, because the best way
is to show people, you know what I mean. And
I could have done a gazillion interviews, but I've done
that before, and it's always been picking apart or why
are you doing this? Or why are you doing that?
But when you see the footage, ain't no lying about that,

(51:19):
ain't no lying about the footy, ain't got the footy show?
You know how to get your ex bandmates mad? Like? No,
you know, no, I've never I've never intentionally gone after
them in any way, you know. I personally feel like
the reason why it was important for me to have
this documentary is because it's just piled up all over time.

(51:41):
I remember when B two K first broke up, I
received more of the backlash than anyone, you know, because
I proceeded to move forward, and that looked like I
was leaving them behind and have a hit after hit out.
Yeah that's what I'm saying. Help, So that looked like, oh, Marion,
don't really care when that was not the case. Kicked
you out of the group, I mean essentially, Yeah, So

(52:02):
because and the people, right, I know, they said that
you're not in B two K and you can't use it, right, Yeah,
that's what I'm saying. So it was due. How could
that even had well, I mean, because the business was
so convoluted, you know what I mean, and it was
really just not being managed properly, you know, and us
being kids. It was just a lot of confusion, you
know what I'm saying. So it was like, really, more

(52:23):
than anything, we were being separated. It was like, okay, na,
y'all go over there, since y'all want to do your
own business, which really, in hindsight, it was nothing wrong
with that, you know what I mean, But that's not
how they made us feel. They essentially kind of pit
us against each other, you know what I mean. And
I remember, you know, I talk about this in the document.
I remember seeing like hearing on the radio station in

(52:43):
LA and I'm like, yeah, you know, talking about like, yeah,
well we're looking for a new lead singer. And I
was just offended. I was completely like, for real, like,
y'all really don't have no respect for me? Okay, cool,
I'm gonna keep it pushing. So just that that energy
alone and not being able to be like yo, you
know what I mean, Like y'all doing your thing, Like, oh,
if you decided you want to stay over this all,

(53:04):
good man, do your thing, you know what I mean.
Like it was not that it was very tumultuous, you
know what I'm saying. That was a gift and the
curse it was. But you know, this whole life, this
whole life can be looked at it as that way,
you know what I mean, because we go through certain
things in life that you know, needs to show us
things about who we are and how we set boundaries
for ourselves and see you know, growing up in front

(53:25):
of the public eyed people would never truly you know,
understanding unless they're in that position how that feels all
the time. And it's like the way to the world,
you know what I mean. So for me to be
able to speak my piece through this documentary has really
freed up a lot of you know, my experience that
I felt was adverse, you know, going back down fifteen
years later, performing with people, not being around people and

(53:47):
seeing like, oh, a lot of these issues really don't
even come from us, you know, they come from outside
people and just realizing that it's like, oh, that's deep
That's deep because seeing how you affect the fans, like
when you see those women going crazy crying and the
fans feeling like, oh, Marian is holding that up. You
know what I'm saying, Like that was that didn't feel good?

(54:09):
You know what I'm saying. I didn't really always feel
like I was able to, you know, expand the way
that I wanted to expand as some other artists that
were in groups. All right, well a Marian is here,
we got somewhere with him when we come back. It's
where you up with Angela Yee and what's up? It's
where up with Angela Yee? And oh Marian is here,

(54:30):
and you have a new project drop in mayfef is
that's the other date. Um, yes, that's the date. We
just dropped the first installment to the album Full Circle. Um. Yes,
it's called Big Vibes. So you have new music coming.
We got a lot, a lot of good things, you know.
Is this album done? Yeah? Album is done in the canon.
This is Sonic Book one, and then I'll release a

(54:52):
Sonic Book two this year as well. So y'all gonna
be getting a lot of you know, slaps from Mariya
Full Circle because it's an oh, you know, my whole experience.
You know, it's a full circle moment. You know, the
documentary is a full circle moment for me. You know,
all of the people that I've worked with, you know
that are coming back into my space. You know, life

(55:15):
is funny. Like I did not want to do the
Millennium Tour, but it was one of the best things
that I've ever could have done, you know, because I
was able to go back to, you know, young on Marian.
I was able to go back to and see like, oh,
this is what this was that feeling, you know, and
a lot of artists don't get that opportunity, and it

(55:36):
ended up being EO Marian Tour really yo, and you
know what that that was such a blessing because like
for real, for real, my team had to like really
set me down and be like yo, oh you're singing
all these songs, these records as yours because of my
experience would be two K. I didn't want to deal
with that, you know what I mean, And I needed to.
I needed to be reminded of all the hard work

(55:57):
that I did, everything you know that I put in
because a lot of people don't understand this about artists.
But you know, all of our experience is not great,
you know what I mean. So what you share with
this particular album or this particular song, you know, might
have been paying for us and a way to release
you know, our creativity, to get ourselves on a new level,
you know what I mean. But even with all of

(56:18):
the adverse experiences, it was it was a It was
a major lesson and there was a lot of information
that I needed to receive and pat myself on the
back for all my hard work with going on that tour,
and I'm so glad that I did it. Break it
down for me, how did that happen though, because we
saw in the documentary it was B two K and
then Rasby ended up getting kicked off the tour, and
we saw that happen, But then how did it end

(56:38):
up just being you? You know, we kept the Millennium
Tour brand very much so like the Scream Tour brand
alive after we transition from the first Millennium Tour that
was with the group and obviously we weren't moving on,
you know together as a group. It became me and friends,
So we kept that business going after the last Millennium

(57:00):
tour though, um I wasn't on the last Millennium tour,
so yeah, we transition into another tour series. But yeah,
we kept it going because history has shown us, you
know what I mean, has shown me and those fans
are all those two thousand classics, that there's an actual
market for it clearly. So yeah, yeah, so we have

(57:21):
to keep that going. Would you ever be open to
Obviously they don't get your members, don't group members, don't
have your number anymore, but would you ever be open to,
you know, doing a project or revisiting I know you
get asked it all the time, this question for the fans. Yeah,
I mean I think anything is possible. You know, I'm
obviously focusing on myself right now, you know what I mean.

(57:42):
But I would say anything is possible. That's fair enough.
And then in terms of R and B male singers,
who would you put on your Mount Rushmore? And you
can't include yourself? Okay, well a lot of a lot
of my Mount Rushmore is from the past, I'm saying.
Donnie Hathaway, and we're talking vocals, right whatever we talk, Okay,

(58:04):
Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, UM, Marvin Gaye, and who would
be number five. Four. I'm gonna give you one more, okay,
yep in five is gonna be um Frankie Beverley. Okay,
so all real socialites that sing from the gut, you know.
Um yeah, But marian thank you so much for coming

(58:25):
to real Way Up with Angela. Ye. You know, I
always have you check in from time to time with
all my different platforms. Yes, you know, this one was
different than the last moment you were on. Yeah. Yeah,
we were talking, we were talking, freaking yeah yeah. Yeah.
But again, make sure you guys box. We really thoroughly
enjoyed the docuseries, you know, so Omega the Gift and

(58:46):
the Curse, and then of course you know I'm Bothered
is out and the new proctect is coming out full
circle May fifth, yea, And right now, big vibes, Big vibes,
Way Up with Angela. Ye, thank you a Mariana. And
when we come back, we have last word. That's when
you guys calling eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
It could be during the show, it could be when
we're not even on the air, could be over the weekend,

(59:07):
and you guys get to have the last word on
Way up with Angela Yee. Pack up the phone, tappan
and get your voice heard. What the word gives the
last word on Way Up with Angela Yee? All right,
Way up with Angela Yee. It is Thursday, Friday Eve,
and Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand is here. Yes, I
am here, and you know Mayno is here. But he's

(59:27):
getting a little faint because he hasn't eaten yet. Yeah,
he's doing that Ramadan and God bless him. But we
do want to thank you guys for joining us today
and thank you to Omaran for coming through. I said,
all right, Marian, Marian, Yes, we had a great time
talking to him. I wished to be as unbothered and
calm as Omaron, but I'm bother. Does not mean you
calm either. Well, you take a beat and you think

(59:48):
before you react. Right, you can do it. Yeah, I
can do that. You can do it. Yeah, I've been
doing it already. You sound bothered already? Right? Well yeah,
Joy still out? All right, Well you guys, we'll be
back tomorrow. Right now, we are in de trade, so
if you see us, you know, say what what I
and um, Yeah, we'll be back tomorrow. But again, this

(01:00:09):
show is all about you. That's why you guys get
to have the last word. Eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty let's hear it. Good morning. My name
is Juanita, and I just want to take this time
this morning to shine a light on me and my husband.
Coming up June and it'll be fifteen years we have
been together and ten years we have been married. So

(01:00:31):
I just wanted to shout out to black love and
shine a light on me and my husband forth eleven
years older than me, Nbos with all my craziness, I
love you, misso. Hey, Angela, I was listening to the
show today and I'm super excited that they're starting to
administer in our can for people to get that more stremely.

(01:00:52):
But I just think it's really important for people to
know that we need to start having training on how
to do this and how to store it, because I
heard you guys telling how you will buy them and
keep them in your card for people, which ideally is
a good idea of fund not saying it's something that
you have to have at a certain temperature, so if
it's not kept at a certain temperature, it won't be

(01:01:14):
as effectively administered to people. So I think we definitely
need to start looking into trainings and how to properly
use it. That's it. It's chucker out, Emerald emodual card,
thank you and having good girl. So Wan was shining
light on my father, Lenna Townsend. He raised eight ships
and four girls and four boys, and my mom passed

(01:01:34):
away nineteen seventy two, and he raised all of us
on his own. We're all doing good. We've never been
in trouble. We're all striving, living well, and my dad
is doing good as well. So I just want to
shine light on my dad, Lena Townsend, for being mom
and dad. We love you. My name is go True Gramlet.
What's popping into love? I just want to say congratulations

(01:01:57):
on your new show and so far so good. I've
been listening, I've been on your Instagram, just watching what
your posting and interacting with you, UM, interacting with other
people that comments on your Instagram. UM, and I just
like A said, I want to say congratulations and so
far so good. I like what I hear what I

(01:02:18):
listened to UM, your show, UM on iHeart radio on
the app and to me again. But now it's a
real though, bring me on the show, matter of fact,
bring me on Little service too. It's time. I'm about you.
