we saw him performing DC. He was opening for Godfrey. Yes,
shout out hosting. Yes, and Akim got there late because
he was coming straight from a gay cruise and gay

(02:14):

that's that's how he described for the gay crew. Yeah,
and he actually I think had a gay old time.
Yeah he did. He had a grand gay old time.
Time he killed the stage when we saw him, basically
what you're saying, yeah, so and then he came on
lip service and had a good time with us there.

the time when Donald Trump took out that ad in
the New York time, you know about the tun of

(02:56):
Park five and was dead wrong. Well, what goes around
comes around, y'all. All right, but first we got to
shine a light on them. Let's keep it positive. Eight
hundred two nine two fifty one fifty is the number
if you want to shine a light on somebody who
you feel like has done something that has impacted your
life positively, impacted the world positively. Somebody you know in person,
someone you don't know, someone you came across, a family member.

our really amazing co host guest co host T. K.
Kirk in his here. You couldn't even let her get
it out the game. You know what. My love for

Then I looked at her. She was my name was
coming out of the mouth, and then my head. I
was like, man, you gotta learn how to shout a
hor You just got overly excited. Yeah, that's what it was,

(04:01):

something positive and show some love. And Jasmine, I know
you wanted to shine a light on somebody's super special today. Yes,
I wanted to shine a light on my brother. I'm
the oldest I have three brothers under me. My brother

(04:22):
jas had a birthday on April the fourth, and I
missed it. And happy birthday Jason. Now I haven't met
him personally, but we do use his who is pus
a lot of miscounts. You talked to him on FaceTime
and I miss The thing is I miss his birthday,
but he usually reminds me of everyone else's birthday. So
he caught me and I said hey. He was like really, Jazz,
and I said, is your birthday to day? He said

(04:44):
it was yesterday. So I want to apologize to Jason.
He is one of my favorite brothers of three. I
feel like a terrible big sister because I missed his birthday.
And I love you and please forgive me and also
pay me back my money that you owe me. But now, Jason,
I just want to put this out there as we

We're locked into everything where use all your car or
any money? Oh my goodness, yeah, happy birthday, Jase. I
have one I want to give your love to someone that. Yes,
ladies and gentle listen, I've been doing this business for

(05:27):
thirty nine years of stand up commed. They have traveled
around the world, and I want to give Angela Yee
flowers is because she how all the people I've met
and everybody's been good to me. But my love for
you is just so amazing. I don't know if people
take the time to really show you how much they
love you, but I wanted to share because you know,
I am six or something years old. I want to

(05:51):
share my love with you to let you know you're
truly respect it and your truly love. I'm a good friend.
T K. Kirk about Shina light is amazing. Who do
you guys? Who want to shine a light on? Eight
hundred two nine two? Hello? Who's this? What's that easy?
How are you feeling? Mellow? What's good? I feel like
you've been neglecting us. Mellow? What never? I've been working

(06:12):
you for me? Blessed but still all right? Who you
want to shine a light on? I actually want to
shine a light on all the beautiful women out there,
because just because International Women's Month has come to an
end doesn't mean the love of appreciate you we have
for women, don't that. So I'm glad you said that
because somebody had just told me they was like, all right,
that's enough. Women's three months old, but enough of these
going out to happy hours? You know, first of all, No,

(06:35):
first of all, let me point out, are you women
success for women? Y'all spend money like drugging, So keep
coming outside and keep having a boat. So like I
need all men going forward to not just let the
month come through so you can appreciate women, appreciate and
respect and love women every day. You're not just the
ones you're attracting you all right, Well, thank you, melve
hey Todd. Who you want to shine a light on?

(06:57):
I shine a light with my wife and wonder fu
yid is your wife and four wonderful kids. Yep, my
wife's Jennifer. I'd write Jennifer and tell us, tell us
what's so amazing about her so she could hear this.
He's a great mother, she running her own business. JJ's treats.
We like her already. JJ's treats. What's your favorite treat

(07:19):
that she makes? Orioles? Orioles, chocolate dip orioles. What won't
you say yes, ma'am, Okay, I could go for that
right now. No, all right, all right, we'll shout out
to Jennifer and your four beautiful children. Yes, thank you.
All right, Well that was shine a light on them.
What a special one today. Yes, a family up here.
And when we come back we have yet we'll be

(07:40):
talking about Don Lemon. Apparently people at his workplace are
saying that he was a very toxic person. Mnna tell
you what they had to say on Yet on way
up with Angela Yee. They's suit in the room from
industry shade to all the gossips say, Angela's spilling at
yet what's ever? It's way up with the Angela Yee.
I'm Angela Yee. And Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here. Yes,

(08:03):
good morning. T K. Kirkland back again. This is your
last day here with us day and I'm a young lady.
Thank you so much for showing me so much. I'm
gonna every time I talk to you, I'm gonna show
you love and thank you again. I'm back y'all. T K.
Kirk's right, all right, Well it's time to do some
yet okay, So Jasmine, um, you know you have the
Jasmine Brand. We get a lot of these stories from

(08:24):
your sites. Okay, all right, let's talk about John Lemon.
And now they're saying that there was misogyny on his
part at CNN, as far as text messages mocking female
co workers and quote diva like behavior. All right, so
let's discuss they said. People who work with him said
he was a shameless name dropper and left behind hints

(08:45):
that he socialized with important people, like a handwritten note
from Steadman that he taped on to his computer. You're kidding,
oh gosh. And then they said that he frequently let
drop that he successfully sued Tower Records as well as
the Chicago PD for racial profiling, and that he also
didn't need to worry about money thanks to those settlements.

(09:06):
And he also openly started dating a fresh out of
college Stafford, despite a major age difference in power and balance.
He was forty one at the time while the Stafford
was twenty two. Okay, okay, all right. So they said,
as far as you could make a rule, Don would
bend it, And they said most troubling was his misogynistic behavior.
According to multiple sources, they said Don Lemon called one
of his producers fat to her face. Oh and not

(09:28):
long before he was identified as sending threatening text to Phillips,
he mocked Grace on air by mimicking her, shocking fellow colleagues.
And so, while some people dig decline to comment, a
person close to her toe Variety that she thinks he's
an ass and that he was always rude, dismissive and
really unfamiliar with the news content being discussed. Do we
believe this, Angela? Well, I mean these are from you know,

(09:51):
quote unquote executives from Variety, so I'm sure that they
checked their sources. So you know, I can't tell you
whether or not this is true, but it's definitely entertaining,
I'll tell you that. Yeah, And I don't know why
I wouldn't have thought that of him. Yeah, that's true,
you know, but it's sad to I'm a Don Lemon fan. Yeah,

(10:13):
I'm a fool. I used to watch him. I used
to come in and couldn't wait till nine o'clock on
the West coast to watch him because I thought his
delivery was just so amazing and whatever he's going through,
he was like that. I hope that he's grown to
move on to become a better person, right, so you know,
and some people did go on record, and when you
read the full article in Variety then you can see, Yeah,

(10:34):
they get specific, Yeah they get very specifically. I will
say he doesn't have a little smart mouthful you know
on camera, like he does say some snarky things in it,
but you know, okay, all right, all right. Well, Tyrese
has confirmed that there is a new TGT album that's
going to be happening on a recent episode of the
R and B Money podcast. The RB Money podcast is
hosted by Tank who's in TGT, and Jay Valentine, and

(10:57):
here's what Tyrese had to say. It's a great new
Atlantic Records has officially agreed to sign TGT for a
second holm congratulations. You're mad at me that he didn't Wow,
he didn't make congratulations. He meant you're well, I'm just
gonna say this. I'm not genuine. You can't have this
conversation if that man is not here, Brother, What did

(11:20):
I do wrong? Jay Valentine, you didn't call g and
have that conversation. I didn't call Tank either, but takes here,
all right, So I mean Tank, genuine, Tyrese. We won
another album. They actually made their debut back in twenty thirteen,
but then they disbanded two years later because they kept
on disagreeing. So you think it's gonna last. No, it's
it's not gonna last. Yeah, I know all of them.

(11:43):
So anything of brother's doing other than what I did
with the people in the wheelchair, will I wish them
the best? Yeah. I mean it's tough and I think that, Um,
you know, I remember before they has some issues. Tyrese
felt like he should get paid more. He said that, Yeah,
I don't know if they were past that, and everybody
should get paid equally. You're you're in a group. Yes,

(12:05):
everybody's equally bringing something to the table. All right, Well
that is your yet. And when we come back, we
have about last night. That's when we talk about things
that went down last night. Yesterday we talked about t. K.
Kirkland and his six dollars ice cream soda. So we
got about last night on Way Up with Angela Ye.
So last night last night went down. What's Up? It's

(12:31):
Way with Angela Yee and T. K. Kirkland is hair
guest co hosting Thank You, Thank You, and Jasmine from
the Jasmine brand. I'm Bad no, no, neither one of
you have been watching Love is Blind, not at all.
But I actually finally finished watching this season and they're
going to be doing the reunion. It's going to be
live streamed on Netflix. What did you think of the
season finale? It was good. I mean I enjoyed watching

(12:53):
it because I had a lot of questions, you know,
even from early on it and this is season four
right now, but I think everybody would agree the favorite
couple was Brett and Tiffany from the start, like the
two of them locked in, right, and does it less
the whole season? It's always like one episode, how does
that work? That's the whole season? I think it was
like eight. So the way the show is set up,

(13:13):
it's pods. So it's called Love is Blind because you
don't get to see what the other person looks like
and you get to date. So it's a group of
women on one side, a group of men on the
other side, and basically you go into a pod, just
a room, but there's a wall in between you and
you guys just have conversations without knowing what the other
person looks like, you know what they do for a living,
you might know, you know how their family was raised.

(13:35):
People have like real conversations, they start crying, get emotional,
you know, they open up about a lot of things.
But a lot of times people form a bond with
more than one person because you're in there for hours.
You could fall asleep while you're in there. You could
be having a drink while you're talking to the other person.
You just have no idea what they look like, because
the idea of it is that looks don't matter. It's
about personality and it's about connection, right, And so I

(13:58):
don't know how much it looks matter to you. I'm visual,
but I'm at a point in my life it has
to be visual. You've got to have great character and
what have you accomplished in your life? Those things are
important to me. Okay, so I want to ask you this.
There was a couple of couples that this happened with.
So imagine you make a connection with somebody. You're on
the show, right, and you get to see the other person.

(14:21):
If you propose and they accept, that's when you get
to him they accepted. Yeah, yes, So imagine you proposed
to somebody or yeah, you propose to somebody they don't accept,
So then that person then proposes to someone else because
they had a first choice. In the second choice, Oh
and I'm the second choice and you're the second choice.
But you really love this person from the connection that
you've made, right, Could you be okay with the fact

(14:43):
that just yesterday they proposed to someone else, that person
said no, and now they're proposing to you. But this
is who you want to be with. You know, this
is your person. Listen. I know it's not a popular answer,
but I think I could be someone number two if
I really loved him. It was really into him. How
can you love someone so fair? Because we talked. I
just listened to him. We connected. It was you got
didn't need to see them. I think I could be

(15:04):
some And that's how most women have been issues because
you'll fall on words. Yeah, I wouldn't say Look so
I don't know Jathin because I feel like there would
be some jealousy that came into ply because you would
know the other women too. You guys are living in
the house, Candeler, you know me well up to know.
But it's gonna be some jealous because you're gonna bring
it up every ten minutes or what about you know,

(15:26):
I'm gonna bring it up. You know, I don't let
things go. Okay, okay, work, but I'm still gonna be like, yes,
it will be your number two. Okay, that's an awful
thing to say, but you would do it? Okay, what
about your TK Let's just say you connected with a
woman and you would really enter because it happened on
the show also, and then she ends up telling you

(15:46):
can't talk to you anymore because I, you know, I
like this person and I really had a kid a guy. Girl.
It's a girl. You know, it's a two women. It's
a woman. Okay, And she's like, but I decided to
choose this other person, which email each other? Okay, no
another man? Another man? Okay, what are the guys? What
are your bros? Okay? Right, right, okay, But then let's

(16:07):
just say that doesn't work out. Would you be okay
with getting with her after that? If it was somebody
you really grew to care about. Does that matter to you?
I wouldn't do it, huh. No, I wouldn't do it. No, No,
I wouldn't do it. No. No, just just just how
I moved through like that, that's not me number two. No,
I couldn't be No, I've been number two on my
own terms, but not on national TV. Yeah, people know

(16:31):
about it. No, but behind closed doesn't nobody know about it.
You could move through respect all day. I've been number five. Well,
it's gonna be interesting to us this reunion because in
certain situations there, I feel like people, once they got
to see each other and they all went on vacation together,
I feel like some people regretted their choice and which
they had chosen the other person. That could happen, especially

(16:51):
when you see the way they move and physical attraction.
I don't care what anybody says. That does matter. Yep,
thank you. Hun. If it's two people you like and
then you're like, oh no, and then you see them
and one of them is more appealing to you, and
that doesn't mean they're more attractive, but they're more appealing
to you, right for whatever reason, because we all have
our own different definitions of what's attractive. Yes, that's right,

(17:13):
All right, Well that is about last night for everybody
who watches Love is Blind. Don't be afraid to chime
in and let us know what you think. It's where
you up for Angela yee when we come back, and
since today is Thursday. I thought it'd be fun to
do a little something something, now, y'all not I have
been doing radio for almost twenty years. Yes, that's a
long time. Yes. I started off as serious and then
I came to iHeart and so part of history. I've

(17:35):
done some things that I feel like everybody doesn't know about. Right.
So when I was on, I actually interviewed Drake over
the phone for a segment called Don't Quit your Day Dob.
And this was before he was signed Wow. This is
before he was signed to Young Money. This is when
he was on DeGrassie Wow. And so we have a
little snippet of that just so you guys can hear

(17:56):
what it sounded like. All Right, it's a throwback Thursday
coming up on Way Up with Angela Ye with Ye
what's up? It's way Up with Angela Ye. I'man Angela Ye.
TK Kirkling his hair, sim and Jasmine from the Jasmine
Brand is here. Happy Thursday, Happy Thursday. And it is
a throwback Thursday. And you know, sometimes we revisit moments
in our life like wow, I can't believe I did

(18:18):
that when I was younger, and I used to before
the Breakfast Club have this segment called Don't Quit Your
Day Job, and that's when unsigned artists would submit their
music and if it was good, we were played on
the air and people would call in and comment and
say what they thought about it. Okay, well I had
a young Drake wow before he was signed to Young Money. Okay.
He actually had a song with Trey Songs at this

(18:39):
time because first Trey Songs wanted to sign him. Yeah,
that's right, okay, So this is early, early, early on.
This is when he was on the Grassy. People knew
him for being in a wheelchair. I know that's triggering
for u TK. But he played a character in a
way who brought me up on that my son. He
told me that was used to be an actor. So
he was acting on that series between two thousand and
one and two thousand and eight. So it was somewhere

(19:00):
around that time when you had this conversation with him. Yeah.
Absolutely so, and it's very charming. So I can't wait
for you guys to hear because he was always a
great artist, right all right, So throw it back Thursday.
Here I am with Drake before the Breakfast Club. We're
about to do Don't Quit Your Day Job. That we
have our boy Drake on the phone. What's up, Drake,
what's going on? Yeah, it's nice to be here. Oh,

(19:22):
he's here with us. Yeah. So let's let's kind at
some info about you. Where are you from? Well, I'm
from Toronto, Canada. I was raising this for Tennessee and yeah,
that's why I'm from. That's what the rest, all right?
So what is your day job right now? My day job, well,
I act on the TV show called The Grassian Next
Generation and it's on the MTV Nogging network. So that's

(19:46):
what I do on the daily. I'm an actor. But
I just I just had this this hip hop thing
going on for so long. My father and my uncle,
well my uncle wrote for Al Green. My uncle is
Maybe and Hodges, he wrote for al Green, and my
dad jump for jay Lee Lewis. It goes around, you know,
it's in the family. And my other uncle is Larry
Graham from Graham Central Station. So I love it. Yeah,

(20:08):
you know it's it's it's dead definitely, it's present in
the family. So I just had that. I just had
to put my little contribution in nice. Now, do you
have a major label deal yet? I Don't'm doing this
all on my own, you know, and shout out to
all the people that showed me loved thus far, especially
my homeboy trade songs. I'm about to go right after this.
We're going to the video shoot for Wonder Woman today.

(20:30):
He's in Toronto. He's in my city doing this thing
with a little lex So you know, you just gotta
you just gotta you just gotta network, and you gotta
you gotta show people that you're serious man, and you
gotta get it going for yourself. But no, I do
not have a major label deal. All right, well, let's
play your first song. Okay, replacement a girl. This is
a song with trade songs, right, yeah, we're gonna get
into that. Let me show you what it is host

(20:51):
birth up top. I was ready to the bottom of
the map when the girls are thinking, I'm how to
secret if you're looking for the good and we got
him in a trap like for white snakes to thismit
it for might say a little how long away from
the day an the hotels that I stayed in a
couple of light style for me to yoke the good
and that we'll say it's sitting that amazing and that

(21:12):
is Drake. But replacement girl, Drake, you're still with us.
I'm here, I'm chilling you. Ready to talk to some listeners?
I'm ready? Man, all right, let's talk to Will from Georgia.
What's that? Will? Well's good? I think, thank you man.
I appreciate it. Jay. And now you got a good
swigger that gonna be hot. He's from a little gangster
on your profit. Man, I'm gonna buy for sure. Hey, much,

(21:35):
appreciate it, man, you know what it is. I hope
you haven't wonderful day. Man, appreciate you calling. Man. All right,
let's talk to Angelo from Mobile. What's up Angelo? Hey? Man?
You sound straight? No, how old are you though? I'm
I just turned twenty man, okay, Yeah. The only thing
you song a lot like bow wow. Man. Yeah. A
lot of people tell me that on that on that

(21:55):
particular record. But I think it's just I think it's
just the brand. I think it's just that Ain't and
that brand of music and that particular sound has been
branded by you know him as an individual. But you know,
I mean, I think a lot of people do that
there soci It's like the same thing when you do
a conscious record. You know, people say you sound like this, dude.
People say you sound like Kanye and Loupe. I mean,

(22:15):
but I feel you know, I'm about playing another record.
You can tell me, you know, hopefully I'll change your opinion,
but I definitely appreciate it. Man, keep doing your scients
all right, let's to rib from busting what's up? Rad
But you think yo, yo, it was hard dog, It
was straight hard man. Thank you come around a messages
and and tea duck. Yeah, you know what, sound like
you were one. You know what I mean? You know,

(22:36):
you put your own little thing in there. Cool man.
I can appreciate that because, like I know, I know
how messages is does yeah, a little bit about tut
He's a little message so you know, Okay, Well yeah, man,
you know what it is. That's what I was saying. Man,
I'm trying to trying to just keep it original. But
I appreciate it. But boy, like the other thing. As
an artist, man, you gotta love going through the gauntlet.
You gotta love the criticism and all that, and you

(22:57):
gotta become immune to the haters and you gotta really
take people to have constructive, constructive criticism like like to
do that, you know, made the comment about dollar. You
gotta take that. You gotta listen to what they're saying.
But you know, you can never quit, man, Nobody should
ever make you quit. That's one thing I gotta say
to anybody that's gonna send them music in. Don't quit, man,
you just gotta go on the man I saw. So

(23:17):
how can people reach you again? Well, you can reach
me onto my space. You can reach me www dot
MySpace dot com, slash This is Drake. I got a
free down little mixtape coming alcohol comeback season. I got
everybody on there. I got Trey on there. I got
Ells out from Slump Village. I got a little brother,
I got Tanya Morgan, I got Nice Wonder on there.
I got a whole bunch of people. Definitely take it in.

(23:38):
It's all different brands of music, and I got the
album coming out probably like late summer fall. I'm just
looking for the right situation and if not, like I've
done it before, I'll do it myself. That was a
little throwback Thursday. That was actually good. Andrew, It's pretty funny. Yeah,
so who what a new? You know who else was
on there too, Machine Gun Kelly. But I don't have
that one Okay, we might be able to find it. No,

(24:00):
I don't think so. Okay, yeah, this somehow really made
the rounds. Okay, all right, but when we come back
we have yet, we'll be talking about the Central Park
five versus Donald Trump. At this time they're on the
other side, if you know what I mean. It's way
up with Angela Ye. She about to blow the lead
about it. Come and get the sea. What's up? It's

(24:21):
way up with Angela yee. I'm Angela ye. And Jasmine
from the Jasmine Brand is here calling her way through
the show. Oh my goodness, and got TK Kirkland is
here to show right exactly exactly awful. Stop everybody's stopping
right a little something. Okay, back to the show. Okay,

(24:44):
back to the show. It's time for yet. All right.
So Donald Trump, um, you remember that he had called
for the return of the death penalty. He took out
a series of ads in nineteen eighty nine, and that
was because of the rape case for the Central Park five,
where five black brown boys were wrongfully accused of rape
and assault in New York City. Well now, more than

(25:04):
thirty years later, salim on Donald Trump's indictment. Trump has
never apologized for taking out a full page ad calling
for the death penalty for the Central Park five New
York City Council candidate and exonerated five member, You said.
Salim issued the following statement following the indictment of Donald
Trump by the Manhattan District Attorney Karma. That's the statement

(25:25):
has tacked our tables, one thing about one them thing
about them tables. That's right. The only thing is, I'm
not sure what's gonna happen. Like you know, it's December
that when I saw that, When you mentioned it to me,
I said, wow, so much the time. But I'm a
man that's been in a few cases in his lifetime.

(25:47):
Have you been to jail? I said, a man who's
been in a few cases his lifetime to us as slow.
But to the person who's going to court, it's like
the next day, oh really really fast. Yeah okay. And
no matter what Donald Trump says, no matter how confident
he says, see real is real. When you're in the
room by yourself and no hype man around you, the

(26:08):
real thoughts start coming into your head and they're not
playing with him. All right. Well, the full ad, you
can see that online. It's an article. It says, bring
back justice and fairness, build a brighter future for Harlem.
And then there's a whole article that you guys should
check out and support. All right. In the meantime, searches
for Stormy daniels content on porn hub have skyrocketed since

(26:30):
Donald Trump got arrested. She's the porn star who is
in the midst of all of this storm. Yeah, and
all the middle of all of the storm. He was
indicted on thirty four Donald Trumps and died on thirty
four accounts of falsifying business records, and he was taken
in to get his fingerprints. And so Stormy Daniels is
the person that is the reason for these these allegations,

(26:53):
all right. So I don't know if she's gonna make
a lot more money from these searches, because I don't
know how that works. There's by the way, and have
documentary on on Netflix. Horn Hub users search Stormy more
than six hundred and fifty thousand times on Tuesday. That's
a lot. Yeah, So there you have it. And this
is disappointing, U z way. Her show was canceled at
showtime after two seasons. So first Jesus and Merrill are

(27:18):
gone and now ze Way is gone as well. She
started off with her YouTube comedy bait It with ze Way.
She was a writer on Jesus and Marrow and then
she also co hosted a Croocket Media's hysteria podcast Your
Voice Kamala Harris on the Showtime animated series Our Cartoon
President and her show. By the way, those clips really
used to make the rounds. Yeah, yeah, very funny interviews

(27:38):
because it would be like moments and she just the thing.
She will sit in silence with these awkward moments too,
just like and ask you the craziest questions you ever
seen a tk z way. No, no, no, no. I
love this show because y'all are really bringing up my
tv IQ. You're trying to watch other Yeah. Yeah, I'm
so proud. I'm telling you. I've always amazed you because

(27:59):
I see how busy you are. So um no, I
never saw it, But why didn't get canceled at you
never saw it? There you go, all right, Well that
is your And when we come back, we have under
the radar. These are the stories that are not necessarily
headline news stories. They are flying under the radar. It's
way up with Angela yee, Angela yee is way up

(28:21):
right now what they're saying. According to Travel and Leisure,
the current listening price ranges from one million to eight
million dollars to own it, okay, And there's a small
number of twenty four year leases available from six hundred
thousand dollars, so that's about twenty five thousand dollars a year.
I don't know about it. I don't know about that
long what I would do it for because they might
go out of business, you know what I'm saying too, Yeah,
they might go out of it, So I wouldn't go

(28:41):
that far. But I would do an investment as far
as if you wanted to like sub let it now
that's smart, or if you wanted to resell it later
and the value goes up. If you want to airbno,
if the boat business don't tank like you know what
I'm saying, that's where I'm minded. You gotta think like
that just in case. Yes, if you're talking about travel,
half of the world's ten busiest airports for twenty twenty

(29:03):
two are in the United States, all right, So Atlanta, Yeah,
of course, number one, it's number one. Number two is
Dallas Fort Works three is Denver, and four Chicago, and
then number six is La. So number five is Dubai,
seven is Istanbul, eight is London, and nine is Delhi
in India and ten is Paris. Okay, okay, okay, all right?

(29:25):
Have I been to all those airports now, I've been
mostly all of them. And speaking of traveling, Delta, United
and American are going to be slashing flights at three
major airports and unfortunately for us here in New York,
that is going to be JFK LaGuardia in Newark Airports, York.
So yes, this summer, they have all confirmed that they'll

(29:46):
be cutting back departures from those airports. That's to help
ease delays and other issues during the upcoming very busy
travel season, and those changes could potentially effect up to
ten percent of each airline's departures from each of the
transportation hub. So that doesn't make me happy at all.
I fly every I fly twice a week. Yes, you do.
You come in here and doesn't that doesn't feel good?

(30:09):
It makes you feel like the prices are gonna go
up to right, Yeah, I totally agree. I was gonna
stay here, all right, Well, those are your under the
Radar stories that is all about trouble, all about all right,
we all do and when we come back, we have
the Way Up makes at the top of the hour.
Plus we also have ask Ye and we have a
Keim Wedgs joining us for a mastery of comedy. It's
way up with Angela Yee. It's sooth in the room.

(30:32):
From industry shade to all the gossip sent angels set
the time for yet and let's talk that money. The
World's Billionaire List, the Fords List, okay, all right, love
to hear about it. And one of the headlines and
I know Kanye is gonna be so mad about this,
but he has dropped off this list after this end

(30:53):
of this partnership of the Didas. Oh no, yes, And
I know he cares about stuff like that, so I
know he is tight. But number one on the list
is Bernard or no. He is the person that oversees
the LVMH Empire. That's Louis Vatan, Mauette, Hennessy, and they
have all the cosmetic brands safora Louis Vatton obviously, Hennessy, Mawett,
all of that, and there's seventy five different fashion and

(31:14):
cosmetics brands. So he is number one some of your
favorite brands, Angela, Yes, indeed. And you know what they
were saying that people are still buying these luxury goods
and the prices are actually going up. That's because people
are spending so much money, even though some will tell
you we're in a recession. Ye, all right. So number

(31:34):
two on the list is Elon must Number three is
Jeff Bezos. We're in Buffetts at number five. Bill Gates
is at number six, Michael Blueberg is at number seven. Rihanna,
by the way, is number two thousand and two on
the list with one point four billion dollars. You see
where Kim Kardashian's at. Where she at? She's two thousand,
two hundred and fifty ninths on the list, but her

(31:54):
wealth is down from one point nine billion last year
to one point two billion. Yeah, you know, her Shapewear
clothing line actually does really well. By the way, that
company is worth an estimated three point two billion dollars.
Her sister Kiley is not on the list. And since
we're talking about money, Donald Trump has reportedly lost seven
hundred million dollars that is over his failed social media

(32:16):
platform Truth Social According to Radar Online, his fortune dropped
from three point two billion dollars to two point five
billion dollars. That's because truth Social has failed to attract users,
even though Donald Trump has been promoting this app and
also giving his own exclusive Wow, can't believe this has
happened to me A type of messages. So initially it
was very exciting and his supporters and fans were here

(32:38):
for it. But the app has failed to take off.
And that's because Elon Must bought Twitter and also Reverse
Trump's band, so Trump isn't even banned on Twitter anymore.
Truth Social was supposed to have eighty one million uses
by twenty twenty six, but right now only has five
million to date, and he owns eighty five percent of
the company. Oh wow, I can't believe he even has
five million users. But I guess are your user on

(32:59):
this on this app? Angela? Is that a serious question?
It's a serious man or did you want a cough? Dangerous?
And Man DC was recently on Shannon Chef's Club Sha Okay,
all right, you know man DC from Loving Hip Hop
and Yandyany's husband, Yandy's husband, and so he was talking

(33:23):
about his time when he was really deep in the streets. Okay.
He was once incarcerated for drug trafficking, and he made
this confession about just how deep he was in it.
He actually admitted to using his mom during those times.
Here's what he said. I remember one time, Um, I
was dealing with a connect and at this sound this's
gonna sound horrible, but I put my mom up for collateral.

(33:45):
I was getting a bunch of keys and he was like, well,
you guys, show me where your mom did that, because
if you you run off on this, you can't afford
you to run off right. And I was like, I
ain't had no tinchons in running off right. So I
was like, I'll show you. And she know she had
no idea, and I took him. Well, thankfully, you know,
things have changed lot, Yeah, for sure. And he had

(34:06):
the opportunity to grow from that. And Marcus Houston has
responded to backlash. People were talking about the almost twenty
year age gap between him and his wife. He's forty
one and his wife, Maya Houston is twenty two years old.
And he recently was featured on TV one's Uncensored and
they put out a trailer for that and here's what
he had to say about his relationship with his wife.
Me and my wife's situation is a little different. When

(34:28):
I met my wife, she was seventeen, so you know,
we had no really conversation and no really connection until
you know, she was of age, and people don't understand it.
Of course, I got a lot of backlash for marrying
someone else nineteen. And you know, when we did finally
start to talk, I was like, this woman, it's like me,
and she was like when I would talk to her,

(34:48):
she just for one we had a spiritual connection, and
I feel like that's the most important thing. All right, Well,
that fhole episode is going to be airing this Sunday
on TV one. Okay, all right, And one last thing,
you have a Scott is the only rapper that has
surpassed two billion streams on each of his albums on Spotify. Wow. Yeah,
that's a big deal. So now, so that means he's

(35:10):
rich off streaming, right, because you know I'm still learning.
Uh well, yeah, I think two billion streams on each album,
all of his albums, that's a lot. So even though
I know you get like pennies, right, and he has
three official albums, Rodeo Birds, in the Trap, Sink, McKnight
and Astra World. Yeah all right, well that was your

(35:31):
yet And when we come back, t K. Kirkland's here
with us, and we want to talk to you, t
K about what you have going on. I know you're
in New York and you definitely plan out your schedule
weighing events that's coming out, and you did drink Champs
and you know, we want to get some more into
t K. Kirkland's life. It's way up with Angela ye
and way up with Angela yee. It's Jasmine from the

(35:52):
Jazz main brand. Yes it is. And t K Kirkland
is here. TK. What are you doing here in New York?
Listen saying you know, I've been working so much and
it's just a pleasure to be here so long because
normal I come in boom and I'm out. But um,

you know, I just didn't want to in true, but

So not only was I doing stand up comment back then,
that was like worth eighty thousand exactly right, She's hilarious

(37:24):
and so probably so everybody knew my philosophy and birthdays.
Every day is my birthday? That right, So April fifteen
birthday gave me celebrate another day here. That's right, that's
so true. So that the ruf seedon. I'm James m

wanna be in Germany. That's that's how Why are you
have to do what? Underscore? Somebody had t K Kirkland. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I got somebody, Yeah, I got somebody got t K. Kirkland.
And somebody's acting like they me on social media, commenting

(39:14):
on everybody's platform. And one day I walked into somebody
on I think it was in your studio last year,
and the girl had an attitude with me. And she said,
ain't you the one that commenting on such a such
I said, what are you talking about? So I had
to explain to people on different platforms it is not
me who's commenting on those platforms. Ladies, jump, I don't

(39:35):
have the time, okay, Like I would never do something
I don't have the time about me. Yeah, it's not okay,
all right, Well, thank you for clearing that out. Thank you,
sweetht all right, well, t K, thank you, and listen,
we love you as a comedian. And you know I'm
a big comedy fan. And so this next person who's
going to be joining us because today is mastery of
comedy as our Kim Woods. Now we met him with Godfrey.
That's your boys, that's right, I sure it did. And

(40:00):
so a Kim Woods is joining us, and you know,
Goffrey brings him out on the road a lot, but
he's also headlining his own shows right now. And I
have to say, if Godfrey is bringing him out, he's good. Yeah,
Goffrey found something about him hilarious that sees that he's
tad because Godfrey wouldn't play all right, So I know
that you guys are definitely gonna enjoy this, so stay
stay tuned here for mastery of comedy on Way Up

(40:23):
with Angela Yee. Now I'm back with Angela ye. What's up?
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela ye. And
Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand is here. T K. Kirkland
is here. Yeah. Listen, we gave t K gives he
got some Valentino perfume for his daughter and for himself.
Smelling good, smelling great. Everybody walks in here and they're like,

(40:44):
it smells so good, you know. So we're grateful and
blessed for that because it could smell bad in here. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
especially with that coffin. Oh yeah, listen, I'm gonna be
fine by Monday. Okay, I'm about to spray her down,
spring it down. But now, you know, we got a
lot going on on the show today. I Kim Wood

(41:05):
is going to be joining us, all right. You haven't
met him before a TK, but you'll enjoy him. God,
for you is the person that introduced us to him.
That's that's all I need, is that words. You know what,
You've put a lot of people on. Who are some
of your favorite comedians? My favorites of people up but
people that are newer, Now, that's a good question. That's new. Wow,
I haven't been following any of the new comics. Okay.

(41:27):
I would definitely put DC young Fly up there. I
feel he has the potential to be one of the
most phenomenal comedians of the next generation. He works hard,
he works hard, and he stays on the road. Carlos
Miller and Chicobean, they're gonna get there. Oh and Chicobean.
And I'm gonna stop in and see Checobean because he's
selling out everywhere, and by me being in this game

(41:49):
since nineteen eighty five, before all this started, when we
was only getting twenty dollars a shot, I want to
see what the country is seeing. I want to see
if the comic is really good or is it just hype.
And if I get the chance to come by and say,
I don't let people know I'm there. I sneak in
the building. I sit in the back and I watch you,
and I don't go on the road or talk to

(42:10):
people talk bad about you. I just it's just for
me to know where's comedy going. That's a comedy exactly, Okay, Okay, Yeah,
Because I love to hear your opinion because you actually
have been really instrumental. I heard a lot of people,
a lot of comedians talk about you, yes, yes, yes,
you know in their career, so I know that would
mean a lot to some of these younger yes. And
I started letting comments open up for me because I

(42:33):
got to a point I'm just doing it by myself. Yeah,
you know, I was doing it by myself. And then
lately I brought that back in because what comments were
not learning is to do clean stand up comedy. They
think that's deaf jam all the time. And I want
people to know that if you don't want if you
want to work thirty forty something years, you have to

(42:54):
be able to do a little of Everything's like I
said earlier, what is your comedy? I Q and comedy
true as a good analogy, It's like a um, what's
my man Tom Brady? Who walks into the game. He
knows his opponent and he does his homework. And that's
what comedians have to do. They have to know who
the open enough for. They have to know the audience.

(43:14):
Are they smart and science? Are they smart and current events?
Are they smart and knowing the history of white people blacks,
because if you've got all these people in your crowd,
a good comedian will have something that will touch on
everything for everybody to relate. You bring them to you,
and stead of you coming to them, you bring the

(43:34):
love intention bring everybody together in the forty five minute
hour show. All right, Well, with that being said, right,
let's talk to Akim Woods when we come back from
Mastery of Comedy because I feel like we just got
a little class in session right there. His way up
with Angela ye more. Now what's up? It's way up
with Angela Yee. And Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is

(43:56):
here with me. Yes, I am, and you know I
love good comedy. Yeah, it's a difference. And so we
had Mastery of Comedy today and I Kim Woods is
joining us. Yeah, hello, how are you guys to see
you good? See war camera? Yeah? Okay? Good? Because I
look way too cute. Everything matches. I'm like, wait, if
this is just radio, I'm gonna be upsetting. You would

(44:18):
just wear the oltfit again. I would just wear yeah
like you never were cute. Thank you so much. I'm
so glad because the first time we met, I was
wearing sweatpants. Oh you came from the cruise. I just
got off the gay cruise and I was wearing sweatpants,
and then I came in the green I'm like, oh,
look who's here. I was so much about to you too.
They was like, where is he? I don't know anything anything.

(44:38):
You were gonna make it. I didn't think I was
gonna make it because the flight got delayed. All right,
but let's talk a little bit about a Kim Woods
for everybody on way up with Antela Yee again, this
is mastery of comedy. Now you are from Florida. I
was born in Brooklyn, but I grew up in Florida. Okay,
so you grew up in Florida. So what what age
did you move to Florida. Well, I was young, so
I can't claim broken. Yeah, I would love to claim,

(45:00):
but unfortunately I cannot. I moved to Florida. I was
like three part of Florida. I grew up in a
really small town part of Florida called Pombey, Florida. It's
very I was very conservative, very homophobia, very racist. I
put her like this, like there was like one gay
club in Pombay, Florida, and uh it burned down and

(45:21):
then like two or three days later, like it was arson.
I'm like no, I was like, oh my god, how
did I gate club burn down? Were just like who
did it? It was probably the mayor, it was it
was Yeah, it was bad. I saw that you never
had a chance to come out to your mom. Yeah yeah, yeah,
my mom knew I was because like my mom would

(45:42):
do like she was the old school southern black woman,
so she would do stuff like that made my brother
mad because like my brother would always ask my mom say, hey,
can I spend the night at like Christina's house, And
my mom was like no, like why don't they spend that?
Like of course not. And my brother got mad because
I was always like buying me like that's not fairy.
Let it keemes from at Chelsea's house. And my mom
couldn't say what it was. So she was just like

(46:04):
you think your brother knew? Yeah everyone knew, So yeah,
brother should have in his head been like okay, but
yeah he was already he I think I think everyone knew,
but no one wanted to. Like I always say I
was in the closet, but like it was a glass closet,
like no one like when I opened up. Yeah. Yeah,
So when I finally lived, Yeah, when I finally when

(46:25):
I finally came out there like oh, like a few
people like what a king, but most people are like, yeah, dude,
that tracks. When did you realize you were gay? Fifth grade? Eddie?
He might see this. He's so fine, Eddie closed my
was my fifth grade crush and he's still fine. That's
when I knew fifth grade. All right, So let me
ask you this. Last time we saw you was on
lip Service. I was right, and we had gave you

(46:49):
Oh my god, I know. I'm sorry about that too,
your fault. I made a video about it. Don't be
bad everyone, what the talk? I love your Angela, but
she gave me bad advice was okay. So I was
talking to this dude and we met on Tender and

(47:11):
I came on the show and we were I was
telling hookup stories because I hook up a decent amount,
because you know, I'm a cute guy. I'm out on
the streets, chraluptales. I'm on episode ten now, so there's
been a lot. And so she was like, you, which,
I think your advice was good. I don't. I don't
know if I executed it right. So she was like,
don't sleep with him on the first date. You said
wait three days. Yeah. To be clear, I said that

(47:33):
because you always do it, correct, I would always doing
the first day. Dame never was turning into more than
that is. That is correct. So what happened he was
under the impression that I wasn't into him. Okay, so
immediately I got put into the friend Joe. Well, y'all
could have kissed or something. I didn't know the rules,
so I didn't do what in my in my head,

(47:55):
in my head, well if I can't, I can't kiss,
and no, I can't like no, if I kiss a
dude and we're in a place where sex can happen,
why would we not. I just kiss outside and then
put you let you know how you have to. I
can kind of understand that. But I took I took
it like don't do anything, and he and he took
it like, oh, this dude doesn't like me at all.

(48:15):
I didn't say, don't act interested. So it didn't work out,
not at all. Friends don't immediately you haven't talked to himself,
and you could have said, you know, I just I
really do like you. I could have said that, yeah,
and I didn't why what was I doing? Because I
wanted to do the three day thing. So I knew
that if I was, if I was too interested, that
I wouldn't last the three days. So I was very

(48:36):
like reserved on the first day, and I was very
much like, what do you like to do? I wasn't
touching on him or anything, so I think he just
thought he's like, oh, this dude's not really got a
good body language too. You gotta like put your hand
on his leg and you're doing any of that. You
gotta still give clues that you're interested. Just don't have sex.
We'll see. Don't take your pants off. Yeah you didn't
say that. Okay, you're an adult. You could have used

(48:58):
your You could have figured the rest of this out.
I didn't. I didn't know I had to give that
exclude did I don't know. I just saw that I
wasn't out to do anything. So I didn't do anything.
And now here we are single. Well he wasn't the one.
He was fine too, all right. I came wait is
here with us Mastery of Comedy. Now, Jasmine, you have
a question, how do you started with comedy? I'm thirty two,

(49:20):
I stawt I was nineteen. I started it before I
came out because I didn't come out Toss twenty six, okay,
so I was I was always like the funny guy
in high school and like everyone's like, oh my god,
this should be comedy. So I just I went to
I googled stand up comedy in Orlando. It took me
to the improv, the Orlando Improv. But I was nineteen
at the time. You have to be twenty one up.
I couldn't go. So then I called them, like, you
should go to an open mic. So I'm like, what's that?

(49:41):
So I googled open mic and then I went to
a place called Austin's Coffee and went a park. You know.
It was on Sunday, and I went and I did terrible, okay,
like really really bad. And then I was working at
Burgling at the time. But then I drove back to
burg and it was bad, but it wasn't bad enough
that I didn't want to keep doing it. So I'm like,
I'm gonna come next week and laughed. No that I

(50:04):
got one laugh, okay, and I don't think it was
for me. I think they were laughing. Yeah, I don't
think they were laughing like yeah, I don't think they're like,
oh my god, you're friends, Like, don't quit birth. No,
I have got booed before, but I got booed many
many years later. Damn. That sucks because that's probably at
the point when you're like doing well, I got this

(50:25):
is what happened. I got boot when I just came out.
I was doing do you know rod Z? Rod Z's
an urban comic. He's funny, but his crowds are like
really urban church growing crowds. Okay, so my friend Ken
Miller's on stage and someone didn't show up, and I
live by the club, so he's like, hey, like give
me the light when you get here and I'll bring

(50:46):
you on stage. Okay, now, mind you. I just came out.
So I'm wearing like really tight jeans and I'm wearing
a Hollister stirt because I thought that all gay people
wore a hollow stir. This is what came out. You
started dressing different, Yeah, because this is what I got.
I'm like, I'm a gay man. I'm gonna I'm I'm
gonna live Grade, I'm ana live green hollows shirt. I'm

(51:06):
in skinny jeans letter rip I'm like dressing like the
way I think gay people are supposed to dress, right right, Yeah,
Because when I was wearing baggy stuff, garlos bad, I was.
I wasn't wearing colors because I didn't want people to
think I was gay, So I wasn't wearing bright colors.
I was wearing like black stop. So I showed up

(51:28):
looking gay and I get on stage and Ken brings
me on stage and before I touched the mic, this
laid in the audience was like this, like she just
said that before I touched the mic. I was like,
oh no. So I did my first joke, got a
little bit of a laugh, and then I did the
punchline silence okay, and then I started trying to get

(51:49):
into another joke. People start booing. But then someone download
like the Siren app on the phone and then they
shared it and then everyone in the in the three
people were playing the Siren act. Serious, yes they were.
They were like playing the Siren affair these three women.
That's very malicious. It is these three women sitting up

(52:11):
front got up and like fake like they have to
use the bathroom, like you know, you bombing when someone
pretends like they have to pee like it was so
bad and they were mad at me, like after the show, no,
we just want to talk to him, we just want
to see him, and I just stayed in the ground.
I'm like, no, I don't want to see these people.
All right, Well, Keim Woods is here for Mastery of comedy.
When we come back, we have somewhere with him and listen,

(52:32):
where do you guys hear these stories? It's way up
with Antela ye bringing ringing the mac. What's up? It's
with Ante Lagie. I'm Angela Yie. This is Jasmine Brand
and we have their hilarious, very gifted I Keem Wood's
here with us. He's a comedian. Now let's talk about

(52:53):
what you have coming up, because you are on a
tour right now that we promote that promoded. Thank you,
thank you, thank you. Okay, this weekend, I'm in Austin, Texas.
I'm headlining Cap City Comedy Club April seventh and eighth,
So buy tickets to that Keenwoods dot com. But the
main one, I'm trying to get tickets for it because

(53:13):
they give me a bonus my cell out come to
Caps City, But who cares. I'm trying to get the
bonus um. I'll meet a comedy club. It's in the
Bay Area, Bay Area in the Bay so at keenwoods
dot com and media Coom. I'll meet a comedy club
April fourteenth and fifteenth. Those four shows I don't remember
the time, so the times are seven o'clock, nine o'clock

(53:38):
and then Saturday seven o'clock and nine. Correct, those are
the times at Keenewoods dot com. I'll meet a comedy
club April fourteenth and fifteenth, and then I believe April
twenty eighth and ninth Indianapolis, Indianapolis Helium Comedy Club. Come
to those as well, but mainly go to the bah
come to you. Do want to point out that we

(53:58):
only first met you when you were performing, Yes, at
the DCN like we love him. It's so funny. Yeah,
So that's why I want to encourage people to come
out and support because you are really funny. Thank you
so much. Do you remember what it was like quitting
your job to finally be able to making my manager?
Kind of made me my manager, Danny who I love.
I was working at a breakfast cafe called first Watch.

(54:19):
It got to the point where I was calling out
all the time because I had gigs while I was
on the road or had something. So eventually my manager
was like, I was down to like two days a
week and I was the only person that was working
two days week because technically you have to work for right,
and everyone was like picking up my shifts because I
was a terrible server by the way, awful, awful. I
was just so fun that people like, oh my god,
he messed up out order again. But he's so fun,

(54:41):
like I was. I was trashed, like he should have
fired me, and he never did because he liked personality shows.
He was really supportive, and eventually he sat me down.
He's like, listen, dude, you're working one or two days
a week. You keep calling off. Just quit and you're terrible. Yeah,
and you're terrible, yeah yeah yeah. He's like I'm not
gonna fire you because you know I want to help,
but like, just are you You're making decent money, just

(55:01):
quit and I'm like okay. And then eventually he was
like he ventures this was like stop coming in so
I can't twit. But I was bad. I was really
really bad. Hi, what's the end goal for you? Like?
What to you is like this is where this is
my plan, my five year plan, my ten year plan.
I don't know. I want to. I wanted this year.
I want to do a special, either half hour special

(55:23):
or hour special. So that's why I'm working out now,
is like I'm working out this hour. I want to
do a special with someone either like Netflix or HBO
or whoever wants to give me a special. So that's
why I want to do this year or this year
or next year. So yeah, I just want to. I
want to tour more and I gotta get I gotta
get my followers up. So yeah, make so y'all follow
my Instagram. Don't follow his Twitter because you've tweeted like

(55:43):
five times in the past. Do not follow my Twitter,
and I'm following you on Instagram. You I think you are. Yeah,
what happened with Twitter? You just went on My first
My first tweet was the Chicken fil A. I was like, yo,
y'all still hey gay people, because I'm trying to eat
this chicken sandwich. Like that was my first tweet. And
then I tweeted like two comedy clips and then I

(56:04):
actually went viral on Twitter. Not me, but like a
story I told went viral on Twitter. I told the
u hau story on Horrible Decisions and it went it
went viral on Black Twitter because they were like, they
were like shaming me because a long story I had,
I had a three and everyone was shaming me, like
how dare you tell that story. I'm like, this is
a podcast where you tell horrible decisions. Yeah, this is

(56:25):
the perfect Yeah, yeah exactly. But it went viral on
Black Twitter, like crazy viral, and then that's why I
got a decent abound it follows on Twitter, and then
I just did nothing with him, So please follow on Instagram.
It's a key Woods on Instagram A K E E M.
Would I just got the ten k It's bad, but

(56:47):
I post a lot. I post. I post trial uptears
every every Tuesday or Thursday. I post them to trial Uptear.
I post stand up clips all the time. I post
tour dates, I post I post that video when I
read all the homophobic comments I got, which war lot?
Yeah goodness, well, thank you so much, and again a
Keimwoods dot com. Yes, so you guys can see all
of his show dates. Get those tickets, especially the ones

(57:08):
in the Bay Area. Yes, I'll meet an April fourteen
to fifteen to sell it. Out so I can pay
these bills. You're good, I am, but step all right?
Well that was master your comedy with a keem was
thank you so much. Thank you all right, And when
we come back we have asked ye. You can ask
us anything. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty
is a number. It's way up with Angela Yee. Hey,

(57:28):
everybody with its relationship for career advice. Angela's dropping facts.
This is what's up, its way up with Angela Yee,
and it is ask ye. Eight hundred two nineteen fifty
one fifty is a number. We'd love to hear from you.
And we have Jaalen with a question. Hey, how are
you doing? Hey Jayleen, what's your question for? Ask ye?

(57:51):
My question is how do you do with an laws
who overstep without offending anyone or coming off as like
being disrespectful? Well, tell me what you mean by overstep
just overstepping in the sense of pretty much just getting
in business. I feel like you shouldn't be in Can
you give us an example. I just feel like a

(58:13):
lot of things like telling me like her my wife
and it's not even really her father, it's a step father.
He'll say things like oh, you need to there's a
bunch of needs or not. Instead of telling me what
he thinks I should do, is you need to this
or you need to that, instead of just giving me

(58:34):
like his opinion, it's more so like an order. Is
it possible to just say thank you and keep it
moving and that feed into it? I mean, yeah, that's true.
I could do that if they thank you and keep
it moving, But it's kind of and you'll also do
it like in front of folks too, So it's almost
like ego stroking almost swam right, right, and listen, that's

(58:58):
not your problem. That sounds more like his problem. And
sometimes we feed into things because then that's your ego too,
Like why would he do that in front of that?
When sometimes you're making something maybe a bigger deal, you
can't control what someone else does, But what you can't
control is your reaction, right, that's true, And so what
you can say is just be like, all right, thank you,
always love when you tell me what I need to do,

(59:20):
thumbs up, you know, because for real, because like you said,
it's his ego, so he's doing that and he knows
what your reaction is going to be. So sometimes when
you don't give people what they're trying to get from you.
That's what it'll make them stop, rather than you having
to be confrontational because it feels like maybe that's kind
of what he wants. Right, Yeah, that's true, That makes

(59:42):
perfect sense. I appreciate that, because you know I'm petty.
I'll be like, oh, what else do I need to do? Word? Okay,
well cool, dude, do a thing. Can you write all
that and send it to me in a text? Exactly? Exactly? Yeah?
But look, control your own reaction, because I feel like
things can get blown out of proportion when you have

(01:00:04):
this like kind of building up in you and you
can just let it go. I mean, because it sounds
and I could be wrong, and I don't want to
downplay how you're feeling, but it seems like it is
something that bothers you. But if you can learn to
just put it into perspective and deal with it differently,
than it could be something that doesn't have that same

(01:00:24):
effect on you because you're letting it affect you. Right,
Let make sense, you know, And if you could talk
to your wife about it too, I feel like as
long as she knows how you feeling, she respects it.
Then it's always teemed you against them, you know, and
she does, she does respect it, but I don't. I don't.
I also don't want to put her in a bad
spot to where she's having to pick a side hurt. Yeah,

(01:00:45):
well she needs to pick your side, so it's okay,
Yeah that's true. And when he does it, all she
gotta do is give you a hug. And every time
he does it, and y'all just have your own little
inside laugh joke comunication about it, and then it could
turn into a joke like, okay, when he comes today,
let's write down how many times he says what I
need to do? Don't tell? Yeah, I'm gonna try to

(01:01:07):
and we'll laugh about it exactly, a nice a private
joke and let us know how it works here. But listen,
anytime you start getting back, just counter ten backwards in
your head. That'll calm you right down. Yeah, okay, I'll
do that, all right, bye, all right, thank you? All right,
Well that was asking ye Jaalen is funny. He sounded

(01:01:28):
like he was a cool guy. Yeah he was. He
sounds concerned, but you know, reasonable, right right, all right, Well,
we have last word when we come back and that's
when you guys. Of course, because this is your show,
you get to have the last word. Eight D two
fifty one fifty is a number. At all times you
can have the last word. Just call us up. It's
way up with Angela. Ye take up the phone, tapping

(01:01:48):
in and get your voice heard. What the word gets
the last word on Way up with Angela? Yee too?
Good time with you too? Yeah, past three days, this
past three days. Listen, we just made it up or
what COVID did to us, you know, because COVID shut
it down. I couldn't see you for three years. You
know what I'm saying. So you know, um, I'm always

(01:02:09):
happy before you know, I always call her, I always
checked on. I always say hello, and she doesn't get
back for a certain time. I'll text and say I know,
I know you saw my text. Yes, I definitely would
say that too. What does she stand back and say,
I'm sorry, I was busy, But that's all it takes.
That's a that's my girl, I'm sorry and it's a

(01:02:32):
text message, but I know she's saying yeah yeah. So
thank you to Dan, to Angela, to Jazz, all you guys,
to the staff. My heart take ever showing me man
Lovin you know already know on booking myself right now
for next year. Yes, and listen, I would see you

They hear you too, lay listen, They're gonna make sure
they do it for you too. If you don't, okay,
I'm gonna talk about you. You do not what huh

(01:03:12):
But also thank you to Akim Woods for joining us, Makeschelle.

had such a good time. And now we have a
last word. That's where y'all get to leave your comments,
you know, leave your feedback, asking any questions you want

(01:03:33):
to ask. This is all about you. It is a
last word on way up with Angela. Yee. I'd like
to shine a light on my mom simply because I'm
just now like realizing the troubles of being a single
mom and like having your children and not knowing what
the hell you're gonna do. And I just want to

(01:03:53):
shine a light on my mom because I didn't understand them.
I know I was younger for not gonna have to
I have a boy and a girl. It's just a
whole different ballpark. Wow, I can't believe you did this,
fid and just I want to shine the light of
my mom's my heart. Hey Angela, yee. I want to
shine a light on all the single dads doing their things,

(01:04:16):
going to work, taking care of their kids. Moms always
get backed up, as they should, but the dads needs
from love too, especially the single dads out here. So
I just want to trying to light on all the
single dads flute in Moire. Nobody really passed me on
the back, so you know, sometimes you gotta do it yourself.

(01:04:36):
But yeah, congratulations on your new show. I've been a big,
big fan for the longest and I hope you exceed
all your goals that you have set for your new show.
Have a nice day, Hi. I like to trying to
light on this young man at this hope the show
to that I work at. I told him for listening

(01:04:56):
it because I hope that he hears, because he always
have his little radio with you. And I'm not gonna
say his name because of him for purpose, I'm not
you know, I'm not sure about it, if I'm able
to give his name or whatnot. But he died two
tours in Vietnam. He was awarded, hit up getting this charge,
came home. It was hard for him to get a job,
and things happened in life, and he actually became homeless.

(01:05:19):
But living out in a call got crossted and lost
both his legs, became a double ft as a lost
four of his fingers on his right hand. And every
time you see this guy, every single time you see him,
he has the word of God coming out of his mouth,
a flower on his face, agreeving his eye, a joke

(01:05:40):
for your kind of words, something to jobless you. And
you ask Hill, how can you be this way with
everything you picked through? He said, I'm hopeless, but I'm
got hopeless. Come on that, Angela yee and Angela yee.
Hey man, check us out. Check him out down there,
