was nauseous.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
I was coffee.

Speaker 5 (00:31):
Why was that Angela air quality? Because we're here in
New York and it's awful. It's better today though.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
Right it's really bad outside, but you know what it's
funny about New York.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
People don't care. They right outside. Well, some people had
their masks on. Some things did get canceled yesterday, and
I think I think some schools got out a little early.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
No, I think for schools they were not doing anything outdoors,
so they didn't cancel schools.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
And I know, like upstate New York, it was a
little bit worse.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
But I've never seen the sky orange yellow, and it
feels like it's a little bit better today. I know
some of the flights were grounded for a period of
time and there were some delays, So we're gonna keep
on checking up on that today.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
And you were coughing a little bit. You had a
sore throat by the.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
I'm having to take cough drops and everything. Yeah, it
hasn't really bothered me that much, right, I mean knock
on wood.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah, but it's been tough out there.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
But we're gonna keep you guys updated on what's going
on with that with these wildfires. I know it's bad
in a lot of different places too, not just in
New York.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
It's bad in DC. Yeah. So you see you hear
in my throat?

Speaker 5 (01:37):
I do you sounded like me? You know how have
to clear my throat every five minutes for a while.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
I don't know if I'm like a hypochondriac, you know
how sometimes things happen and you're like, all of a sudden,
I don't feel good.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
You know, all this and then you walk today with
no mask on coming to the studio.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
It was a little better outside today.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
But when I tell you, I don't even get headaches
really Like yesterday, I had a headache.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Yeah, it was really bothering. It worked.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
We still went and did lift service that to sexy
Red Poundtown.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
I was doing to miss that. Me neither I'm total
missing talented. I'm so glad I got to participate in
that one.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Yes, I saw you was being ratchet ratch. It's my
favorite day of the week, Angela. Thursday.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Yeah, okay, all right, well happy Thursday everybody, and we
are gonna get this show started. You know how we
always do it at the beginning of the show. We
shine a light, We spread positivity, we.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Show some love.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Maybe you want to shine a light on somebody who's
a family member, maybe your spouse, your kids, your parents,
maybe a complete stranger, somebody who did something nice for you,
or maybe somebody you saw on the news and you're like,
that person is amazing. Let's shine a light on this person.
That's what we're gonna do. Eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Is the number.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Who do you want to shine your light on? Is
way up with Angela. Ye even yourself. You could like
to shine a light on themselves. True, you got to
give yourself credit sometimes too. If no one else is
gonna do it, you can do it.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Why not?

Speaker 4 (02:53):
All right, it's way up with Angela Yea. Eight hundred
two niney two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
We're gonna up. I'm shine.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Turn your lights on, y'all. Lights it spreading love to
those who are doing greatness.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Shining the light on them, Shine the light on him.
It's time to shine a light on them.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Its way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee, and
Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand is here.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Good morning, Angela, good morning.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
It's your favorite day a Thursday, and time Friday, Friday Eve,
and it's time to shine a light. I want to
shine a light on somebody I read about actually in
the New York Post. His name is Martinez Evans, and
eleven years ago, his doctor warned him, you're fat. You
can either lose weight or die. He was twenty five
years old and three hundred and sixty pounds at the time.
He's a former college football player, and he said he

(03:40):
would run a marathon at this point. Now he has
run eight marathons, and at first he could only run
fifteen seconds at a time on the treadmill, But then
he wanted to prove people wrong, including the doctor, so
he went ahead.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
And he's now thirty six years old.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
He weighs three hundred pounds, and he's run eight marathons
and over one hundred other races he has. He said
running has open me up to think, what are other
things that I might want to do that I didn't
think I could do because of my body size and
my body's shape.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
And so he's also a certified running coach. Now oh okay.
He's the leader of the Slow AF Run Club. Ah,
I love the community.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
And he also has a book, Slow AF Run Club,
The Ultimate Guy for anyone who wants to run, And
he says that people should start running in the body
they have today.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
I love that. What's his name again, his name is
Martinez Evans.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
Made after to him, maybe I could be in his
run club because you know, I'm not a runner.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Well, he runs three to.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
Four miles and he does a fourteen to fifteen minute
per mile pace despite his weight, and he said he
is not at the least bit bothered by his critics
who told him he's normalizing obesity. He said, I'm promoting
what the normal person with a normal body actually looks
like in this day and age, is what he said.
So sometimes you can look at people and judge them.
But he's run eight marathons. I've run none.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Yeah, he's more in shape than I am. He said,
everybody can be a runner.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
It may look different from what they see on TV
or from professional runners, but everybody can be a runner.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
And I love this because I also have a run club.
You do. What is it called?

Speaker 4 (05:04):
It's Angela Yee run Club and I'm about to bring
it back with Chelsea Paris.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
I'm excited. I need to get my running game up.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
And he's from Brooklyn. I'm gonna hit him up. But anyway,
let's see who you want to shine a light on.
Eight hundred two nine fifty one fifty April. How are you?

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Oh my god, Hi, who do you want to shine
a light on? April?

Speaker 6 (05:24):
I want to actually want to shine the light on myself.

Speaker 7 (05:27):
Okay, yeah, I've been in a situation as far as
like homeless, and then I've been in a hotel almost
a year and it's been well, I bet, but I
want to shine a light on myself because I have
not gave up. You know, I have nobody help, but
I see it working. You know, try to be a
mother and try to stay a.

Speaker 8 (05:44):
Board of water.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Oh, April, well, we would love that and we want
to shine a light on you too. I'm glad that
your situation is improving and that you've been, you know,
pushing through.

Speaker 9 (05:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (05:54):
I go to church every Sunday.

Speaker 7 (05:56):
You know, I continue to play.

Speaker 9 (05:57):
You know.

Speaker 8 (05:58):
At first I used to be.

Speaker 7 (05:59):
The type of the question God, like why I can't
have this? You know, But at the end of the day,
I had to realize what's meant for me. It's meant
for me when it's my time, I'm going to definitely shine.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Oh, yes, that's I was. I'm glad you called us
up today. We shine a light on you, April.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
We love you, Thank you, love you.

Speaker 10 (06:14):
Have a great day, you too.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Hey Patrick, how you doing?

Speaker 9 (06:18):
Are you doing? Angela?

Speaker 3 (06:19):
What's good? Who you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 9 (06:21):
I don't like the shot a light on my girlfriend?
We expected a child?

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Yeah, okay, congrat's exciting.

Speaker 9 (06:28):
Thank you, Thank you appreciated. Her name is Taylor Hurry.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Okay, Taylor Hurry. You know if you're having a boy
or a girl.

Speaker 9 (06:35):
No, we don't know it is a yet. We just
found out.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Okay, all right, are you going to find it? Are
you going to try to do a reveal, a gender
reveal or no?

Speaker 9 (06:42):
Yes, I definitely want to do a gender reveal in
a baby shower.

Speaker 11 (06:46):
She's Talmas Shaw.

Speaker 9 (06:48):
Can I shine a light on her business?

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Yes? Of course.

Speaker 8 (06:52):
Her business page is k Triates on Instagram.

Speaker 9 (06:54):
What is it K creates on Instagram? K?

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Okay she does?

Speaker 8 (06:59):
God does website stuff like that business card?

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Okay, well yeah, baby, don't have at invite?

Speaker 8 (07:06):
Right, Oh yeah yeah yeah, we're gonna do a big pout.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
All right, Well, thank you for calling, Thank you?

Speaker 4 (07:13):
All right, Well that was shining light on I'm eight
hundred two ninety fifty one fifty in case you couldn't
get through, and we have yet when we come back.
And speaking of gender reveals, imagine Zion Williamson's horror when
he did his gender reveal and then got called out
on social media by another woman who he has allegedly
been having relations with.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
It's way up at Angela ye yeat is next, they.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Say, the rooms from Industry shade to all of gossip
out send Angela's feeling that.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. And
Jasmine from the Jasmine brand dot com is here. I
like how you said that one of my favorite entertainment sites.
All right, let's start with Zion Williamson. Apparently he was
having a great day having a gender reveal party. On Tuesday,
it was him and Akima. They were sharing footage of
that gender revealed party show that they're expecting a baby

(08:04):
girl together.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Congratulations. Now something else happened.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
Mariah Mills then came forward on social media and said
that she was intimate with Zion as recently as last week.
She also posted some alleged snapchat messages that show him
asking her to move to New Orleans.

Speaker 12 (08:22):
Now.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
She posted, better pray I'm not pregnant too, because I'm
definitely late at Zion Williamson. I was with you last
week in New Orleans and you couldn't tell me you
had a random woman pregnant. After all I've done for you,
I let you f me so many times without a condom,
and this is what you do to me.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
A hood rat that does CPN. What's CPN? That's what
I said, what is CPN?

Speaker 9 (08:45):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Okay, she's a nurse, practic unpracticing nurse, practical nurse.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Okay. And then I don't know if I believe that definition.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
She said, you put in my life in danger effing
all these something raw. I warned you about trapping type
of women, and you didn't listen to me. I know
the game f you and congrats again. The bill was
too high, so you had to scrap for crumbs when
you couldn't see me. Or I was busy. Why are
you attacking this other woman?

Speaker 8 (09:10):
Right?

Speaker 3 (09:10):
You need to attacking him?

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Yeah, like you're mad at her. And then she said,
couldn't even impregnate a real porn star. I motivated you
to get back in shape. I let you f me
all kinds of ways and feel me on your phone,
and you impregnate a low budget porn star DNA test
or I'm done.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
I let you spit in my mouth. Oh oh, that's
a lot. It's very explicit, yes, by the way.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
And yes, then she did post some of those messages
and that she told them I hate you. Looks like
you been had a girlfriend and sleeping with other women
behind my back.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
You liar.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
If anything happens to me, it's on you because you
have this girl's family threatening me.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
All right. Well, Stephen A. Smith, of course, did weigh in,
and here's what he had to say. Man, you only
play twenty nine games last year, and you.

Speaker 13 (09:53):
Missed the sason before that, and I've been wondering what.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
The hell has taken you so long to get healthy?

Speaker 10 (10:00):
Well, no, I.

Speaker 14 (10:00):
Know, forget all this stuff.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
That's his personal business.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
She put it out there.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
It's a damn saying chances are if you mess with
a pool star is going.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
To be public.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
Wowh Although I will say a lot of porn stars
are very low Like I know porn stars who definitely.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
Are pretty chill.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
Yeah, and part of their code is hey, yeah, that's
part of the we don't tell.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Let's be quiet, Let's just chill and it's between you
and I.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
We had Saturday on lip service and she will not
reveal any of the people that have hit her up
or who she's been with.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
I like that. M they can trust her now. All
this is going on.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Shaquille O'Neill was out with Brittany Renner and people were
going crazy on social media. But sources are saying they're
not an item. They've just been cool for a long
time and wanted to reconnect.

Speaker 5 (10:48):
Okay, Well, here's the thing. When you are spotted at
places like this, there's you know, it's kind of calculated,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
Yeah, if you go to La and it's a spot
that everybody goes to, and you know pictures. Yeah, I'm
out then it is what is? But maybe they are
just friends, you know. Yeah, And remember she met with
Deon Sanders Jackson State football team a couple of years ago.
She was giving them advice about groupies and things like that.
They were also saying that she's going to be on
Basketball Wives, right yep. They said she was fighted filming

(11:16):
scenes for the show.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
Okay, so maybe that's why. Who was Shack dating? Who
is he dating right now? Yeah? Who knows? I think
I was.

Speaker 5 (11:24):
I think I heard he was dating Michelle.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Yeah, yeah, I heard that too. Yeah, I don't know.
I don't know how serious it is, because you know,
sometimes people go on and dat. He hasn't dating.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
Shaq also is now setting up to be a producer.
He wants to do some music production, and so he's
posted a TikTok video where he's giving beat makers and
studio studio people are warning about the fact that he's coming.
So he's already in the process of learning that craft,
and he posted that attention on music producers.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
I'm learning. Remember, he was trying to be an artist.
He was a rapper.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
He actually had some songs that went platinum. I feel
like I think his album I have even done that, right, yeah,
so there you go. Remember he rapped with the fooh snickings.
Oh okay, yes, Shaq fu All right, well that is
an outstanding That was the other song, right, I'm outstanding
or something like that. And I think Peter Gunns used
to write for him. If I'm not mistyle, there was

(12:17):
a lot going on with Shaq as a rapper.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
He did good.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
All right, Well that is your yet and when we
come back, we have about last night, And let me
tell you last night there was a lot going on here.
We've been talking to you about these wildfires. They're affecting
other areas. Now we'll let you know about all of that,
but we'll talk about what happened last night. It's way
up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 12 (12:35):
Yes night.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
So about last night last night? Last night he went.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
Down What's happens way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela
Ye and Jasmine from the Jasmine brand dot com is here, yes.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Brand on my own brand.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
And as usual, yesterday we were together, Yes we were,
and I started with a couple of different things that
happened yesterday. So we filmed lip service yesterday we did, Yeah,
we did. And I get to that in a second.
But the weather, the sky was so bad from these
wildfires in Canada. And right now there's air quality alerts
issued in sixteen states. Those states are from vermonta South Carolina.

(13:10):
They said, there's more states expected today to have air
quality alerts.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
I still can't even breathe properly, feel like you still
can feel the effects a little bit. Yeah, And so.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
The air quality index is saying here in New York
was the worst that it's been, and so the carbon
monoxide particle pollution, so for dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, they said,
any number over one hundred is considered unhealthy, and when
that number tips over two hundred, that increases their risks
of health effects for everybody. So right now Pennsylvania, Michigan,

(13:40):
New York, Ohio, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Delaware, Indiana, Maryland,
d C, Kentucky, Virginia, and North and South Carolina have
These are the updated states that have high air quality
alerts right now.

Speaker 5 (13:54):
So right now in New York, it's the number is
one hundred and eighty six, right, and that's you said
two hundred is when it.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
It's like every super super Bad.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
And people may start to experience health effects when it's
over one hundred and fifty.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (14:07):
So yeah, this is one hundred eighty six New Yorker.
Is our urge to stay inside our mask up?

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Yes, I couldn't put a mask on because I had makeup.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Fun.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Is that bad? Well that's what I was, because I
was like, I gotta go do lip service. Yeah, that's yesterday.
I was like that.

Speaker 5 (14:18):
And then my friend was like, put just stick something
up my nose, like just and I was like, I'm
not walking down the street.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Then you're gonna just be breathing through your mouth. That's
that's true. Does that mean all right? Well anyway, so
that was yesterday.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
And then I was actually supposed to get booked to
do something and I canceled it and said I couldn't
do it because we had lip service. We had two
episodes planned for yesterday. One of them got canceled.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
Right, which was big.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
It was a big one, so hopefully it gets rescheduled.
But it kind of messed up everything because Gg flies
in from Atlanta. She's on the podcast. You know, people
have to come in from all over. We have the
studio reserve. We had the camera person, we have the photographer,
we have.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
All kinds of guff the whole. It's a whole little
to do.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
But fortunately Sexy Red was coming in and when I
tell you, we had so much fun.

Speaker 5 (15:06):
With her for context, sexy Red Poundtown.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
Okay, Poundtown, and she got Nicki Minaj on Poundtown to
the remix and she's been wanting to do lift service.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
She was very excited. She was like, I watch y'all
all the time.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
Jay Ones, who was with her, that works with her,
he was like, look, she was so excited to do this,
and she I'm glad we made it happen.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
She's really open too.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
She's from Saint Louis and you guys are gonna love it.
But she has her project coming out tomorrow. Yes, so
she's everything that you would think she is.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
She's funny. She's very funny, very very honest.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
And I will say this, and I've noticed this, Guys
get so mad about the lyrics in her song.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
She really be talking that ish. I'm not gonna girls
love it, but if you because we did get a
sneak preview of the album, she has this one song
on it with Sukihana or by the River, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
And when y'all listen to her project at midnight tonight
and listen to the album tomorrow, listen to that song.
Any guy is gonna be mad about that.

Speaker 5 (16:04):
Song, and they should be. And I love it, yeah,
and I love it. It's hilarious.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
For so long, I feel like, you know, men have
dominated hip hop and they said things that we're like, well,
that's disrespectful, right, And now it's the other way.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
She is very disrespectful. And I love everybody. I need
a new peppy. Yes, now, y'all know you hate that, right,
that's hilarious.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
You're not gonna all right, that's why we're gonna have
somebody else, another man, gonna know.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Take care of your kid.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
But anyway, so get ready for that. That's coming out
on Tuesday. But her project is out tomorrow. And when
we come back, we have Gurus of the Gram.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
Now, there's a lot of people on social media that
consider themselves to be experts and they position themselves as gurus.
Some of them are very legitimate, so we're not gonna
take away from that, and some of them.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Is like m yeah, some of them not so much,
but today this is what we're gonna be talking about.

Speaker 15 (16:57):
If she's constantly bringing up things in the past over
and over again, maybe it's time to accept that she's
not healed, that she needs more from you to heal
from the hurt that you caused her.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
And that's not her fault, all right.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
That is from at Real Vivian Melo. So you know,
when you stay with somebody and I kind of in
a way agree a little bit with this, but then
I also disagree, and we're going to talk about that
when we come back. That's Gurus of the Gram at
Real VV and Mellow call us up eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty. We want to hear what
your thoughts are on this Guru of the Gram. It's

(17:34):
way up with Angela Ye.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
The Kapanah, they are Gurus of a Gram.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
It's way up.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
But Angela Yea, I'm angela Ye Jazz and from the
Jasmine brand is here, yes, and we are doing Gurus
of the Gram. That's just because there are so many
people giving advice on social media, so many experts, so
many some of them are really good, and then sometimes
you're like, I don't know about this one. So let's
hear what you think today here is at real Viviana Mello.

Speaker 15 (18:00):
If she's constantly bringing up things that happened in the
past over and over again, maybe it's time to accept
that she's not healed, that she needs more from you
to heal from the hurt that you caused her.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
And that's not her fault all right now.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
My thoughts on this have always been, yes, when something happens,
if you agree to give somebody another chance and move forward,
then you have to make an effort to move forward. Now,
that doesn't mean that you can't question things. That doesn't
mean you can't bring things up, but you shouldn't be
doing it constantly, and especially as more time passes than
the person has proven themselves, it's time it's more on you.

(18:36):
It is more of a burden on yourself, and so
I think it's a limit to that. You know, as
so far as what this guru of the Grand Vivia
Mela has to say, what do you think?

Speaker 5 (18:46):
I think sometimes in your mind you think you can
move on from something. You're like, yeah, okay, we can
move on from this, and then you just really you
just realize later like this I can't and it's time
to end it.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Yeah, and that's when it's time, like you know what,
let's go ahead and yeah, and it's also up.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
So if that person's doing what they need to do
to help you move on, now, Anthony, what are your thoughts?

Speaker 8 (19:06):
Uh?

Speaker 16 (19:06):
The way I feel about it is, I think that's
gonna be one way because a man can apologize right
then and there if he feels that he's in the
wrong about the situation. And again, you know, she could
be holding on to that feeling all that resentment, shall
I say, And you know she's not moving forward, she's

(19:27):
stuck in the path.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
Right, Yeah, so you think that's wrong. You know, women
need to just move on. I understand that, you know,
women and men too, people need healing. But how how
long can you bring.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
It up for?

Speaker 16 (19:41):
Ah?

Speaker 15 (19:42):
Man?

Speaker 12 (19:42):
Uh?

Speaker 16 (19:43):
As far as bringing it up, I mean, I feel
like two people should be on the same page, one accord,
and if as long as you don't want to chord,
then I feel like, you know time, I mean, it
could be a couple of days to a week, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 9 (19:57):
If you don't on.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
One accord, that's not long enough.

Speaker 17 (19:59):
Sir.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
We don't talked about this all week. I'm all right, okay,
where the situation is right?

Speaker 4 (20:12):
Right?

Speaker 3 (20:13):
Okay, it sounds like you don't have some issues.

Speaker 10 (20:16):
I mean we all have issues.

Speaker 8 (20:18):
You have.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
I got it all right, thank you, Hey, miss Anonymous.

Speaker 12 (20:25):
Hi, I have to coin the prong thanks to you.

Speaker 8 (20:29):
Judgment of phenomenous.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Okay, So what are your thoughts about news of the gram?

Speaker 8 (20:34):
So all right, so I agree with you.

Speaker 12 (20:37):
I agree with you Angela about like you know you
you don't agree, but then you kind of disagree like
I'm doing. I just sit down and still that if
you are like holding into something and then you know
you're trying to get it out and you want to go.

Speaker 8 (20:54):
Ahead and explain that with your partner.

Speaker 12 (20:57):
The problem is nowadays a lot of dudes nowadays.

Speaker 8 (20:59):
They cannot accept accountability.

Speaker 12 (21:01):
For anything, right, And it's like if you're holding.

Speaker 8 (21:05):
Onto something that time cannot be good for your own
like mental health. Okay, apparently you don't sit there and
have a longer respect for you as an individual. So
why he's gonna still hold on to something where you
cannot have a gree conversation with yours because of your partner?

Speaker 3 (21:23):
Right?

Speaker 4 (21:23):
Yeah, No, So I see what you're saying. It's not
good for you to hold on today it sounds good,
very fun.

Speaker 12 (21:28):
Yeah, oh no, yeah I have. I like went through
that with the lack of appreciation with this boyfriend that
I had, ke wanted to go ahead and play everything
with how he's feeling, and you know, me trying to
be the buses person and with a lot of dopey sessions.
I'm like, you know what, I apologize for making you
feel the way how I made you, see, and I

(21:48):
will definitely.

Speaker 8 (21:48):
Go ahead and be better. But when I'm going into discustomers, look,
but I feel I'm not appreciated where you always seek
in validation and other people Now all of a sudden,
oh well, you.

Speaker 12 (21:59):
Know, juice own you that's about me, this guy and whatnot.

Speaker 10 (22:04):
And I'm like, are you serious right now?

Speaker 12 (22:06):
But are you really trying to turn this around and
trying to make me look like I'm the pretty you know?

Speaker 6 (22:10):
I do like to gaslight a lot.

Speaker 12 (22:15):
Oh well, you know what I mean, A lot of
you know, a lot of yous just can't do the
type of femal that I'm you believe, but there's a
lot more to me and I'm giving communications.

Speaker 10 (22:34):
You already know.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
Thank you.

Speaker 8 (22:37):
Bye.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
You can bye, Hey, messy. Yeah, So what are your
thoughts about gurus of the gram?

Speaker 18 (22:43):
I don't know. I think that's kind of lame. I mean,
if you can't forget somebody for something, you probably just
shouldn't be with them. Like, if you are going to
stay with someone that's deciding that you forgave them for
whatever it is, and if you can't move past it,
you need to be in a different relationship.

Speaker 8 (22:59):
That's not fair.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
But does it sometimes take a while to move past things, like,
you know, to be able to ask questions. Maybe giving
somebody another chance also means I have to make sure
this isn't going to happen again.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
But I'm still uncertain.

Speaker 18 (23:11):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't agree, Like, I don't
think you should be with somebody if you're uncertain, take
some space of heart.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
Have you ever had to forgive somebody like this?

Speaker 18 (23:20):
Absolutely? And I've Yeah, I have, And I had to
make a choice after a certain point if you know
that person hasn't changed, or you're just still unable to
get over it, because a lot of times they're on
change of relationships that y'all can't get over. And that's
between the two of y'all. If you can't move past it,
I mean it can't go anywhere. Trust is everything.

Speaker 13 (23:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
I spoke up with a guy because he's my ex.
He cheated on me, and I was like, I don't
think I'll ever forgive this. I can't see myself.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
You know that about yourself? Yeah, I knew that. I
was like, yeah, it's not going to happen. I'm not
going to torture myself, right.

Speaker 18 (23:56):
Yeah, ten years later, I'm not going to be wondering.

Speaker 8 (23:58):
You know.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
And it was a good decision. All right, Well, thank you,
thanks y'all.

Speaker 19 (24:05):
Bye.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
Well that was Guru's up the Gram. Thank you to
at Real Vivian Mellow for giving us that content. And
when we come back, we have yet will give you
an update on Wendy Williams. She is receiving treatment. Will
tell you what her manager had to say about it.
It's way up at Angela.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Yee yo, She's about to blow the lead abof this spot.
Let's get it. Angela's villain at yeez, Come and get
to see.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
It's a way up at Angela. Yee. I'm Angela yee.
Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here. I'm here Angela
you are here on a Thursday, on a Friday Eve. Yes,
all right.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
Wendy Williams is reportedly getting treatment at a wellness facility
as she is battling undisclosed health problems, and her manager
confirmed that she's getting that additional treatment, so they said.
He said, she's at a facility doing her best to
be her best and she's taking it day by day.
He said, she's progressing very well. She looks healthy, she
sounds healthy, and I think she's doing amazing. And he

(24:57):
also said, just understand that she's a human being. That
you she's going through a lot, she's dealing with a lot,
and support her. Please, that's good news.

Speaker 12 (25:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (25:04):
You know.

Speaker 4 (25:04):
Her son, Kevin Hunton Junior, did express concern about her.
He did his only interview with the Sun and he
said that, you know, he found out she was in
the hospital and he says that he feels like his
mom's team is taking advantage to someone who needs to
get better, and he's saying that's not true.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
He said, Wendy is under a guardianship.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
Everything that does get approved by the guardianship, a court
appointed guardianship, so no one even if they wanted to
take advantage of her everything has to get approved by
that court.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
Well, I'm glad she's at a facility. Facility. Yeah all right.
Now Cardi B and Scarlet have linked up.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
You guys recall Scarlet was so excited when Cardi B
posted her She was screaming and she did not try
to hide it when she came to weigh up with ye.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
Here's what Scarlet had to say about Carti.

Speaker 20 (25:53):
That was enough.

Speaker 7 (25:54):
That little repost she did was like enough, right, If
Cardie don't have to do a song with me, that's dope.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
You don't know what that does.

Speaker 5 (26:02):
Like me as a young girl, like grinding every day,
grinding and finally getting that little, that cold sign, a
big cold sign that changed my life, right, my career.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
That's beautiful.

Speaker 4 (26:13):
Yeah, it is, and it is to be grateful for
that and not have expectations like you have to do
more for me, And she did do more, and I
feel like we knew this was gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
Here's what Carti B had to say because they linked
up in the studio.

Speaker 17 (26:25):
I'm with Scarlett right now and we go to the
same studio all the time, so I was like, yo,
she should come upstairs so we could just have a
little chob because like she's so like a dope best
person and like her story is so interesting and everything
about her so interesting.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
So say hi to her. Hey, y'all's you know the
one it only.

Speaker 17 (26:45):
She's so shy, but I think you guys should let
her know what you guys would like to see from her,
because I really want her to make it and she's
such a dope best person and I need to watch out.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
Yes, nice, I love that, all right, Kevin, Hearts to
Kill It brand is off bring five hundred thousand dollars
to black own small businesses. That Grand program is formed
in partnership with Local Initiatives Support Corporation and was equally dispersed.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
Among fifty different winners. And you know that means a lot.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
So those grants were dispersed equally between those winners.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Now, according to Kevin Hart, he.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
Said, we always knew we wanted a Grand Cormino to
have a giveback component that focused on providing black and
LATINX entrepreneurs with resources to pursue their small business dreams.
So half of the Grand winners are black founders and
sixty eight percent are also women owned.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
Dope, I love this yes. Let me tell you something.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
Having some money and some capital when you have a business,
a small business that is probably besides education and all
of that, that is like the most valuable thing. It's
so hard to get things done when you're concerned about money.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
Yep, all right.

Speaker 4 (27:49):
Now, Chelsea Handler is talking about how she realized she
had to break up with her ex boyfriend Ted Harbert,
and she was on Serious XM's Andy Radio with Andy Cohen,
and here's what she said.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Happened when they had a threesome. I've slept with a woman,
but I haven't dated a woman. No, And how did
that go for you?

Speaker 10 (28:06):
Fun?

Speaker 3 (28:06):
I mean it was fun. Did you do it to
please the man you were dating?

Speaker 8 (28:10):
No?

Speaker 3 (28:10):
No, I was very turned on by this woman.

Speaker 21 (28:12):
I ended up hooking up with her several times without
the guy thought I was dating.

Speaker 3 (28:16):
Yeah, that's what I knew. It was time to break
up with the guy.

Speaker 8 (28:19):
Right.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
I was going to say, what was his reaction to
you hooking up with her on your own? Well, I don't.

Speaker 21 (28:25):
I don't think I ever revealed that, but I mean,
hopefully he's listening now. His name is Ted Harber, so
he knows.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
Now, Yeah, he definitely knows now.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
Ted Harber was also the chairman of NBC Broadcasting and
the president and CEO of the Comcast Entertainment Group and
chairman of ABC Entertainment.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
What's really funny is that when they.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
You know, when they broke up and everything, it was
all very public when she when she dated him and
all of that.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
So it's so funny how she's so transparent about her
relations anything everything. Yeah, if you date her, you got
to know that you gonna end up being content.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
He was president and CEO of E and remember Chelsea
had her show there, so people have always had things,
but she was very transparent about that.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
It was actually really funny. She all right, funny, Well
that is your ETM. When we come back, we have
under the Radar.

Speaker 4 (29:12):
These are the stories that are not necessarily headline news stories,
but they're going under the radar, but you definitely need
to know them. We're going to talk about a lot
of different things, like where the United States has issued
a warning a travel advisory warning, and we'll tell you
why to this particular Caribbean country.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
It's way up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
I got news this in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
It's way up at Angela. Yea, I'm Angela, yee, I'm Jazzmine.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
Hey, Angela, how are you? I'm good and listen. Fourth
of July is coming up. I'm trying to figure out.
I haven't been anywhere.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
At all, and where are we show every day? Where
are we going?

Speaker 4 (29:49):
I'll tell you where they're saying. Right now, there's a
travel advisory. Where would not go the Dominican Republic. The
State Department has issued a travel advisory for Americans looking
to visit there because of an increase in violent crime
and sexual assault. It's a yellow flag level to advisory
that was issued urging travelers heading to the Caribbean to

(30:09):
dr to exercise increase caution. According to the Department and
the advisory, it says, violent crime, including arm robbery, homicide,
and sexual assault, is a concern throughout the Dominican Republic.
The wide availability of weapons, the use and trade of
illicit drugs, and a weak criminal justice system contribute to
the high level of criminality on the broader scale.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Wow, Angela, you've been a dr before many times? Okay, right, yes,
I have. I've never been a dr. You haven't it's
really nice.

Speaker 4 (30:36):
It's one of the first trips I ever took on
a vacation ever back in the day vacation. And according
to reports, it says also Americans looking to travel to
resorts are likely safer and as certain areas tend to
be better police than urban areas like Santa Domingo.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
So go to a resort. If you go, stay yes,
and stay on the resource. Yeah all right. Woman is
facing charges.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
They're alleging that she stole more than six hundred and
forty thousand dollars from her job last year. According to
Memphis Police, the security manager for Brianks. Do y'all know
how you see them Brins trucks pull up with the
money bags?

Speaker 9 (31:18):
Yep?

Speaker 4 (31:18):
Well, they filed a theft report for the business located
on Old Getwell Road. She stated that while investigating deposit shortages,
she found that an employee, Mikayla Small, stole money. She
worked as a cash processor, and she reportedly stole funds
between June and August of twenty twenty two.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
She was actually caught on video taking the money she
was counting deposit.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
Now you've got an odious cameras everywhere, of course, and
so that theft told the six hundred and two hundred
eleven dollars, so the security manager and another employee confronted her.
She admitted to stealing, and she returned thirty thousand dollars
to the business.

Speaker 3 (31:51):
What happened to the rest of it, I don't know now.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
On October fourteenth, the manager gave a statement, provided evidence,
and also identified her in a six person line up.
She was arrested Monday and charged with theft of property
greater than two hundred and fifty thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
Mikayla from Memphis, Okay, right.

Speaker 4 (32:09):
All right, and speaking of money, imagine having an internship
with these perks.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
The perks include a salary of up to five thousand
dollars a week. Wow, free corporate housing and one of
ten different world financial centers like New York. Okay, and
an opening retreat at a four Seasons in South Florida.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
I love four Seasons. Okay.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
Well, you might want to go back to school and
get an internship then, okay. According to reports, billionaire Ken
Griffin's hedge fund Citadel Has, which by the way, has
fifty eight billion dollars in assets under management, has three
hundred interns for their summer program this year, and.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
That's what they get.

Speaker 4 (32:44):
And the pool of people that apply for this job,
this internship, more than sixty nine thousand applicants.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
Wow, everybody wants that job. Of course.

Speaker 4 (32:55):
By the way, if you want an internship, Heart, you
ain't gonna get all that you can apply online.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
Well you get you don't give five thousand dollars a
week if you know. As a matter of.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
Fact, I don't think I've ever had a paid internship personally.
I think iHeart will do that, but it ain't that.
It ain't five thousand dollars a week, free corporate housing
and a retreat at four Seasons.

Speaker 17 (33:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
And by the way, I've been following Ken Griffin for
a while because he actually is building a new headquarters.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
He's moving his Citadel from Chicago.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
The headquarter is to Brickle in Miami, and they're building
a whole brand new building from the floor up.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
Brickle is popping. Huh, Angela, I know.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
That's right, all right, Well that is you're under the
radar stories now. You know it is your favorite day
of the week. It's Friday eve. It's a Thursday Friday,
and we got the way up mixed coming at the
top of the hour, and we also have some more
things that we want to talk about today. We do
have more et coming up. Of course we have ASKI
and of course we have the last word with you.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
Guys.

Speaker 4 (33:53):
Eight hundred two nine fifty one fifty is a number. Remember,
we always love hearing from you. You can always leave
a message. I still have not done what we promised
to do, which was a dunk dollar.

Speaker 8 (34:03):
I know.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
I feel like I try to remind you and I
don't know, but.

Speaker 4 (34:06):
I feel like I'm studying this detox today. Okay, I
need I need a de Yeah, I feel like I
need to study this detox today. So let's get that going.
It's way yep. But Angela Yee. She's like to talk
like they Angela Jean, like they Angela jee Man.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
She's spilling it all. This is yee t way.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
Yes, it's way up. But Angela Yee, I'm Angela Yee.
Jasmine from the Jasmine brand dot com is here.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
I know that's right. Let me check the Jasmin brand
dot commacy. What's popping? All right? Well, let's start it
off with DC young Fly.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
He has released a statement about the mother of his
children his partner passing Jackie Oh. He said, I wasn't
in no rush to post this because I wanted it
to be a dream so bad. But every hour I'm
reminded of reality. So I want to make sure I
applaud you in the proper manner. You are the greatest mother.
I know your soul was beautiful. You always wanted the
best for others, and I admired how our family loves

(35:00):
each other. Never had to worry about our kids loving
each other because you are on top of that. You know,
we God fearing and we are grounded by the spirit.
We never question the higher power. We roll with the
punches and continue to live righteous. We'll always tell our
kids how much an amazing person you were, especially a
great mother. You know how our last convo went. I
prayed for you and now we are here. But it's okay.

(35:21):
We will continue to pray and hold on to our
faith because that's all we know. Love you forever, and
our kids are super strong. They helping me with my tranquility.
No cap you with me forever. The Queen of my
children will always have a spot in my heart and
the paradise you want to get me for that, but
It's true love you forever. Just know we going harder
than ever and God is in control and he got
us covered.

Speaker 5 (35:41):
Wow, God is in control and he got us covered.
I was such a beautiful message.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
I know statement he took his time and didn't feel
like he had to post, but that is definitely beautiful.
He does have his children, their children now to raise yep,
and of course try to stay strong for that purpose.

Speaker 5 (35:58):
Absolutely, and you know they're chill our memory of her,
so when he looks at his children, he'll always remember her.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
Everybody has such great positive things. That's how you want
to be remembered, the way that everybody is remembering her.
Absolutely all right. Tupac's sister delivered a moving speech as
he got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,
and Big Boy spoke Alan Hughes, who's the director of
Dear Mom, who also spoke. The ceremony took place yesterday

(36:26):
and it's nearly twenty seven years following his murder and
a little over a week shot of what would have
been his fifty second birthday. Here is what Tupac's sister,
Sakia set Chakor, had to say.

Speaker 20 (36:39):
And now we're gathering here today to unveil Tupox star,
not only paying tribute to his contribution in the music industry,
but also speaks volumes to the lasting impact he's had
on this world. Today, we're not just honoring a star
on the ground, but we're honoring the work and a

(36:59):
passion that he's put into making his dreams come true,
his heavenly star O Shane little brighter. Today once again
he has made us all extremely proud and we love you, Tupop.

Speaker 5 (37:14):
No, he still overcome with emotion, absolutely, and I totally understand.
I love that all these celebs were in attendance to
witness this.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
You know, Yes, a lot of people were their yg
DJ Quick and a lot of people Mike Epps Tretched
from Naughty by Nature, people who knew him in real life.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
Yeah, that's beautiful all right now.

Speaker 4 (37:33):
According to Dennis Byron, who's the editor in chief of
Hip Hop Inquirer, he's on social media and he's talking
about a breaking story. He said, according to My Los
Angeles sources, and arrest warrant has been issued for a
blogger for alleged threats made relating to Tory Lane's case.
He said, this is a developing story. According to my sources,

(37:54):
the alleged threat of violence was made using a computer device,
and the alleged victim believed the threat was serious. Yes,
threats aren't protected under free speech, even if it is
a joke.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
Yeah, so we'll follow that story and see he hasn't
identified the media person or the blogger.

Speaker 4 (38:09):
Or Yeah, that is allegedly threatening making threat and we
don't know who that person was threatening in this Tory
Lanez case either.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
All right, all right, BT has.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
Decided not to show that fight between Jocelyn and Amber
Rose on College Hill. Everybody have been talking about this fight,
Joscelyn herself saying that she dogged walked Amber Rose on there.
But apparently out of respect for Alabama State University and
all of the parties involved, they are not going to
show this guy.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
We've seen pictures, we've seen before, We've seen what it
was about to pop up. You know, I like to
see a little tussle. Yeah, I know, I know it's
a little immature of me.

Speaker 4 (38:46):
Yes, Jasmine, it is. I'm just leave it alone. You're like,
leave it alone. I think that's a good decision. On exam,
people want ratings and all of that, but yes, let's
respect the university.

Speaker 5 (38:57):
Understanding, Yes, I understand, and not show that. Okay, I
would have liked to see the Telsa. They'll go ahead,
all right.

Speaker 4 (39:03):
Dubnow has been added to the Essence Festival roster for
twenty twenty three. If you recall, he was not happy
because he felt that he was not going to be included.
It's three nights of concerts and the Caesar Superdome from
June thirtieth to July second.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
Now here's what Juvenile had to say when he at
first was excluded.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
This was gonna be honor fifty years of hip hop
in New Orleans without including me.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
That's crazy, huh.

Speaker 4 (39:29):
Well, Caroline Wanga, the CEO and president of Essence Studios,
Essence Ventures, Essence Fest, all of that. She was up
here on way up at Angela Ye, and she kind
of gave us a teaser that it was going to
go down.

Speaker 3 (39:45):
So we made a.

Speaker 13 (39:46):
Decision to celebrate the fifty years pop and started to
source talent and have conversations with talent. Right, and there
is no way in hell that we were not going
to have any NOLA artists. Okay, be a part of
this damn festival. Now, we have always created a festival
that had some things announced in some things a surprise,
So there will be surprising delight moments that features some
no the talent, but.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
It'll be a great baby and watch.

Speaker 9 (40:08):
Juvenile Social Handles if.

Speaker 13 (40:09):
You want to know more.

Speaker 3 (40:10):
Okay, Angela, we know more really quick. Your favorite juvenile song.

Speaker 4 (40:15):
I'm gonna say, And I know it's supposed to be
back that ass up, but I also really like how.

Speaker 3 (40:20):
Of course okay, I like slow motion, of course you do.
I like it, like that nasty, but I just feel
like back that. How could you not? Yeah, I feel
like that's everybody's That's a favorite song period. You look good?

Speaker 9 (40:35):
All right?

Speaker 4 (40:36):
Well that is your yeete And when we come back,
we wanted to you know, we're always trying to do
things for the benefit. Yes, right, so teach us something
And to a study by Harvard and Wharton resource researchers,
the number one way to sound smart.

Speaker 3 (40:51):
We're going to discuss that. It's the way you put
angela ye. Do you know what it is?

Speaker 16 (40:54):
No?

Speaker 13 (40:59):
At it.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
We up with Angela ye is on?

Speaker 3 (41:04):
Yes, it's way up.

Speaker 4 (41:04):
But Angela, yee, I'm Angelae. Jasmine from the Jasmine brand
is here. Yes, and we've been having a little debate
behind the team, so I want to bring this to y'all. Okay, Okay,
So during yeete, I was talking about this Jocelyn and
Amber Rose on College Hill alleged fight that went down.

Speaker 3 (41:19):
There's actually images of the altercation.

Speaker 4 (41:22):
Uh, and there's been conversations that the two of them
got into a physical problem, a physical beef. And now
they're saying that it's not going to be showed on
College Hill out of respect for Alabama State University.

Speaker 3 (41:35):
Okay, now, Jasmine, you're disappointed.

Speaker 8 (41:37):
I am.

Speaker 5 (41:38):
I wanted to see the tussle. I wanted to see
the fight. If it happened organically, which it looks like
it did, I would like to see it. I understand
responding to respect university. So I totally understand that, but
I'm you know, I need to see the tussle. You know,
you give me the you give me the before and after.
I want to see the tussle, play the tussle somewhere right,
And I.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
Was saying, I understand it.

Speaker 8 (41:57):
Now.

Speaker 4 (41:58):
Look I was looking at some of these comments right
of people talking about this fight and what they're saying,
because now that it's not going to be showed. Some
people are disappointed. Yeah, I see one person hustling. Queen said, well,
I won't be watching the episode then, and then Roly
Police says, send it to zeus, right, and then Storm
and Row TV said, so, y'all gonna use the fight

(42:18):
to promote and then not show it.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
That's my thing.

Speaker 5 (42:20):
You going to include it in the trailer and the
teasers and then you're not gonna You're not gonna give
us the full story.

Speaker 4 (42:25):
But then people complain a lot about reality shows and
the fact that there's all this fighting. It makes us
look bad. Okay, right, we want more quality content. We
don't want to see things I don't even know what
the fight was over.

Speaker 5 (42:37):
Well, and I think that's the thing, Like, I don't
know what the fight was over, but I want to
see it so you can give me some context. Also,
I would like to say, I understand that people don't
want to see black people on reality TV fighting at
the same time white shows they get to tussle in
and fight and throwing drinks and being super messy. I
understand that we can't judge ourselves on the same scale.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
As more of a fight. Though it was just a drink,
it looked like when you see those still images, Yeah,
they threw some hands.

Speaker 17 (43:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
And you know the thing is, Jocelyn also went on
Drink Champs uh huh and talked about.

Speaker 4 (43:08):
It and talked about the fight. She did say she
dog walked her. I don't feel like she named any names.
But then the pictures of the still shots lead shout
out to Glocktop as they always do a great job
of making sure they post everything that's going on.

Speaker 5 (43:21):
When you say you got dog walked, it seems very aggressive. Yeah,
it's like like you beat the brakes off somebody, you
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (43:29):
Yeah, So the question is this, uh huh, okay, as
somebody who watches these shows, do y'all feel like you
want to see this right or do you feel like
they made the smart decision and not putting this on television?

Speaker 3 (43:43):
And are you tired of seeing it?

Speaker 4 (43:44):
Because it feels like everybody says, I'm tired of seeing
us get into arguments. I'm trying to see these physical altercations.
But at the same time, y'all don't want to watch
it right without it? Yeah, I want to see the fight.

Speaker 10 (43:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (43:57):
So since and Jocelyn is trending right now. That's another thing.

Speaker 4 (44:01):
So I look on Twitter and I see that she
is trending, and so I just want to see what
you guys think about this. Do we have Jocelyne on
drink Champs. Here's what Jocelyn had to say when she
was on Drink Champs.

Speaker 3 (44:12):
I got into a fight because somebody try to attack
me and I mother put their mother in head through
that glass.

Speaker 9 (44:19):
You know.

Speaker 3 (44:20):
My other hally called me.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
He was like, you know the mom, you know, the
thing from her head is still on there. I was like, yeah,
say wipe this down.

Speaker 3 (44:29):
That was okay, all right? And also who would have
won Jasmine?

Speaker 8 (44:37):
You know what?

Speaker 3 (44:38):
You really want to see this?

Speaker 5 (44:39):
Sorry, I'm a little I'm not as mature as Angela
when it comes to this kind of thing.

Speaker 3 (44:45):
Yeah, I mean it does.

Speaker 9 (44:47):
You know.

Speaker 4 (44:47):
It does bother me because I feel like, as much
as we complain about this type of content.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
We can watch other If you don't like it, you
don't have to watch it. I know, we have other
shows you can watch.

Speaker 9 (44:56):
No.

Speaker 4 (44:56):
I agree, I understand all of that, but I also
feel like, you know, people be like, we don't condone violence,
we don't X Y and Z, but sometimes people feel
like to be on shows, you gotta do this.

Speaker 5 (45:06):
I don't think they I don't think that they thought that.
I think they had a real disagreement and you didn't
even see it. I'm telling you what I'm thinking. I'm
speculating because they won't show it. I think they had
a real disagreement and they've gotten into a tussle and
it happens sometimes. I'm not saying it's okay, but I
feel like it's organic. It's not like that's a show
where they promote that it happened while they were filming.

Speaker 4 (45:23):
And Jocelyn did reveal that she was the cast member
to be expelled for fighting from that season.

Speaker 3 (45:29):
Yeah, so let them fight, let them fight, all right.

Speaker 4 (45:32):
Well, let's see what you guys think. Let's pick aside,
all right. Do you feel like, listen, we have all
this going on, people want to watch this. I like
to see a good tussle every now and then. That's
my side, that's Jasmine.

Speaker 3 (45:43):
That's jasmine side.

Speaker 4 (45:44):
Or do you feel like we really do need to
grow up, not glorify things like this and show it
on television. Do you believe that this is a smart
decision for BT plus even though they use this to
promote the show. To not post this eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty, call us up, let us
know what you think again, it's eight hundred two ninety

(46:05):
two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 3 (46:06):
It's a way up at Angela ye.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
No, I'm bad. You've the way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 4 (46:14):
It's way up with the Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee.
And Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand is here. Happy Friday Eve,
Happy Friday Eve. And we're doing a pick aside, okay,
all right, because we had a little difference.

Speaker 3 (46:25):
Of opinion behind the scenes. Nothing you know, major, but you.

Speaker 4 (46:27):
Know, we're talking about College Hill and they have decided
that they are not going to show this fight between
Amber Rose and Jocelyn because they don't condone violence. And
it's an Alabama State university. And I'm sure you know
this fight. This whole situation where they're talking about the fight.
There's pictures, right, there's a whole leading up to the
fight that has gone viral, and you think they should

(46:51):
show it.

Speaker 3 (46:51):
You're like, people want to see.

Speaker 5 (46:52):
It absolutely positively, not only you guys teased it. You
know what I'm saying. You you wet our appetite, and
then you tell us that we can can't see the fight.
And what I do appreciate is, you know, I want
to know what happened. You you know it happened organically,
So let us see what happened, all.

Speaker 4 (47:07):
Right, Well, in case you guys missed it on College Hill,
this is how the fight started between Joscelyn and Amber Rose.

Speaker 5 (47:14):
I got into a fight because somebody try to attack
me and.

Speaker 3 (47:17):
My mother put their mother in head through that glass.
So you know, I mean the class and I'm doing
my thing.

Speaker 13 (47:23):
You know, I'm saying it was conversation about the success
that we're having now, and I'm like, I'm the biggest.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
So they was in the class. Everybody was like and
I'm like, that's what they know.

Speaker 11 (47:35):
The set up instead of a.

Speaker 3 (47:41):
Get me smoking the bat, but I.

Speaker 2 (47:42):
Don't see yaw.

Speaker 3 (47:43):
They want to want to be so I didn't get
in too much details, but they try.

Speaker 2 (47:47):
To attire me.

Speaker 3 (47:48):
Heyn't ask all right.

Speaker 4 (47:50):
She did get expelled and she did reveal that too
when she was on drink cam. That happens, and you
can see online. There's all the footage just leading up
when they're in the classroom. Gray Jay is right there,
took mine in his business, right, drink his water by
his business. And so we want to see what you
guys think about this whole fight. Do you agree with me?
This is pick a side that they shouldn't be showing

(48:12):
these fights. You know, they don't condone violence. It is
a college atmosphere, right, It's not great press for Alabama
State University or for this show.

Speaker 5 (48:20):
Which I understand the university's point of view. But Jasmine's like, look,
let us just fight, let him fight, let them fight.

Speaker 3 (48:27):
It happened. There wasn't anything that was planned, and the
show is not known for this. This happened organically. You
had a disagreement in and you said in all these
other white shows, they fight, they get to do all
of those things, drinks, you know, right, So.

Speaker 4 (48:38):
Let's see what you guys think. Eight hundred nine fifty
one fifty is a number. Pick a side.

Speaker 3 (48:44):
It's way up put Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (48:46):
It's not just right or wrong. It's about what you believe.
It's time to pick a side and stay there all right.

Speaker 3 (48:54):
It's way up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 4 (48:56):
I'm Angela Yee and Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here, okay,
and we are talking about College Hill.

Speaker 13 (49:01):
Now.

Speaker 4 (49:01):
On this season of College Hill, there's been a lot
of discussion about this fight that goes down between Amber
Rose and Joscelyn. Jocelyn did reference the fight when she
did during Champs. She did not name names, but then
there was footage and pictures that circulated that show it
looks like it's Amber Rose and Jocelyn mborled in.

Speaker 3 (49:21):
This battle embroiled.

Speaker 4 (49:22):
It looks like BT is not going to show this
fight because they do not condone violence at Alabama State University.

Speaker 3 (49:30):
It would be a bad look for the school. Yes,
and Jasmine, you feel cheated.

Speaker 5 (49:34):
Show the fight. You tease the fight, you promoted the fight.
You have to show me the fight otherwise it's false advertisement.
And also it was an organic situation and it was
an organic fight. I need to know everything.

Speaker 4 (49:45):
Well, here is some audio of and this video is released.
It doesn't show the fight, but it shows what led
up to this physical altercation.

Speaker 3 (49:54):
You know what's your problem?

Speaker 13 (49:55):
Your parleming that you really want to be a WI
Your parlem is that you really don't even want to
be black.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
You're gonna check me if they check me, I'm checking
you now, no, no, you want to go.

Speaker 3 (50:07):
There so as you can see let him fight, let
him fight.

Speaker 4 (50:12):
We don't get to see that parts, all right, But
some of y'all are very concerned that they use this
to actually promote the show. Some people actually signed up
for BAT plus to see this fight. And I can
understand it, right, I understand that, But I also feel like,
do we need to keep seeing this on television? Do
we need to actually see the fight? We know what happened,
we saw what led up to it. This is something

(50:33):
that just could stay in the atmosphere forever. Okay, you know,
and let's see what you guys thenk Kendrick, how are you?

Speaker 8 (50:40):
Hey?

Speaker 18 (50:41):
How you doing?

Speaker 5 (50:42):
Hey?

Speaker 3 (50:42):
Kenjack?

Speaker 4 (50:42):
So pick aside, what do you think about showing the
violence on on College Hill?

Speaker 10 (50:47):
I'm gonna say play, I want to see the fight.
Most people don't watch is there for the drama. They're
there for the drama. Show with the drama.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
He's on my side, fair enough, Okay, most people.

Speaker 10 (51:00):
I don't want to see it, don't want don't even
watch the show.

Speaker 3 (51:03):
Right exactly?

Speaker 4 (51:04):
These people that got the show just to see it, though,
Like there's a I see people like.

Speaker 3 (51:08):
I got it just to see the fight.

Speaker 4 (51:10):
Yeah, this platform, I think a lot of people who
don't watch also are gonna watch for the fight.

Speaker 10 (51:15):
Yeah, I say, I say, played the fight. They're probably
gonna put it on YouTube or something to tell it anyway.
Just just play it. We're gonna get it anyway somehow.

Speaker 3 (51:23):
So you watch the show.

Speaker 10 (51:25):
Uh, I watch it sometimes. I'm not I'm not an
everyday watcher, but I like a little bit of drama.

Speaker 3 (51:31):
Okay, all right, thank you, Kendrick, Hey, Antonio, Hey, are good?
Pick aside? Now, do you want to see these fights
on reality TV? Or you think no?

Speaker 18 (51:42):
I think not.

Speaker 3 (51:43):
Okay, he's on my side, yeah he is, so go ahead.

Speaker 8 (51:47):
No.

Speaker 10 (51:47):
Well, you know my daughter and she's get fourteen years old,
uh huh, you know.

Speaker 14 (51:54):
And somebody tried to fight and everybody's what the songs
of course on a recorder.

Speaker 10 (51:59):
And want on too, a lot of these young girls
and look up for people like that.

Speaker 3 (52:06):
Okay, don't you feel bad? I feel bad. You're right, yeah,
now I feel I have a daughter too, but she's
not fourteen. But I feel bad.

Speaker 4 (52:12):
You know what, And even for the people on these shows,
it's like embarrassing for them for life, like that lives
forever for people to see.

Speaker 5 (52:18):
I don't think Jocelyn cares if that list forever. But yeah,
I'm just saying though, well because she you know, she
says she dog walk.

Speaker 8 (52:26):
That's true. Some people don't care.

Speaker 3 (52:28):
What Yeah, I can, I can. I appreciate your point experience.
Thank you, thank you.

Speaker 4 (52:33):
All right, Hey Raven pick aside, Hey, oh my god, Raven,
So what do you think about fighting on reality shows?

Speaker 6 (52:42):
Feeling like it's entertainment? So I don't really have an
issue with it. I feel like people should teach, you know,
their kids are people how to act it in general,
so t is your TV is entertainment. But as far
as the college hue, the BP advertised to fight, which
ru me in because I was not gonna watch this.

Speaker 3 (53:03):
They yeah, I was not gonna watch it. They rilled
her in, they got her ready, and then they just like.

Speaker 6 (53:10):
Exactly, and then they got me again. Because I love
ray J. So because ray J was on the end,
I'm like, okay, Jocelyn, ray J amber rolls right.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
False advertisement, that's what it is. False advertisement.

Speaker 6 (53:24):
I feel like suing and it ain't not nothing a dot.

Speaker 4 (53:26):
Oh my gosh, Okay, now you're not took it too far.
All right, Well, thank you Raven, Yes, thank you, ladies,
you too.

Speaker 3 (53:36):
We ain't never gonna do better, y'all. Hey, Tia, Hi,
how are you?

Speaker 10 (53:42):
I'm great?

Speaker 8 (53:43):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (53:43):
I'm good?

Speaker 4 (53:44):
We're doing pick a side. We're talking about College Hill.
They're not gonna show this fight between Amber Rose and Jocelyn.
Now do you agree with Jasmine that they should just
show it and it's fine, or do you agree with
me that I feel like, Okay, it's probably not the
best idea for the university for that to be on television,
and we got to do better.

Speaker 14 (54:01):
So I agree with Jaffn. They definitely need to show
the fight because they used the fight.

Speaker 9 (54:08):
To promote the show.

Speaker 3 (54:09):
Yep, Okay, that's the main thing.

Speaker 14 (54:12):
We don't promote balance, but to use violence to promote
the sef right.

Speaker 3 (54:16):
They said, we don't condone violence, and bulliant, we.

Speaker 14 (54:19):
Don't condone violence, but you condoned it enough to promote
the show with the balance.

Speaker 4 (54:23):
You're right, because I was thinking that maybe with that
the school might have had an issue with them putting
that out, and so maybe they had some conversations behind
the scenes and they can't do it.

Speaker 3 (54:31):
I don't know.

Speaker 14 (54:32):
Ight possibly, but more now, y'all got people paying for
the description because tight and I'm one of.

Speaker 3 (54:39):
Them, Oh my gosh, and two of them.

Speaker 4 (54:42):
Yeah, it's so funny that you guys really want to
get money.

Speaker 6 (54:46):
Yeah, but Senator.

Speaker 4 (54:53):
Johson definitely set the stage, so we know exactly what
happened exactly.

Speaker 3 (54:57):
All right, Well, thank you for colling. Bye you too.

Speaker 4 (55:04):
And you know, since we're talking about school and everything,
let's talk about this study that they did at Harvard
and Wharton researchers. There the number one way to sound
smarter when making small talk.

Speaker 3 (55:16):
Do you know what it is? We're going to discuss that.
It's way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (55:24):
Jays you back at it, way up with Angela Yee
is on.

Speaker 4 (55:30):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. And
Jasmine is here.

Speaker 3 (55:33):
Yes, I'm here Angela.

Speaker 4 (55:35):
Now, Jasmine, I was talking to you about this. The
number one way to sound smarter when you're making small talk.
This is according to Harvard and Wharton researchers. And so
that number one reason, what.

Speaker 3 (55:46):
Do you think it is? Ask questions? You read it? Okay? Perfect?
Thank you, Jasmine.

Speaker 4 (55:53):
All right, So students were giving three options for communicating
with their partners, saying hey, can you give me an advice,
saying hey, I hope you did well, or saying nothing
at all, right and on their Unsurprisingly, students rate it
on their accuracy eagerly asked for advice, but those rated
on how good of an impression they made were less
than half as likely to ask for help. They were
afraid they wouldn't look competent. So if you want to

(56:16):
be an excellent advice seeker, ask a lot of questions. Okay,
banish the fear one of the biggest obstacles to making
an approach to anxiety. And remember that your new acquaintance
isn't your new best friend yet. So just because you
meet somebody successful, don't treat them like you can ask
them anything. Don't ask them to be your mentor right away,

(56:36):
don't ask open ended questions that would require them to
do research, and don't send a business plan right away
and ask for detailed feedback and instead asks specific questions
to keep it brief. When you meet somebody now, they
say to sounds smarter when making small talk. You should
actually ask advice and ask for questions. Seeking advice actually
makes you look smarter. One of the laws of power,

(56:59):
by the way, that they always say, is say less
than necessary.

Speaker 3 (57:02):
I actually learned this early on in my career.

Speaker 4 (57:06):
One of the people who I worked for told me
one time, when you're in meetings, don't speak too much.

Speaker 3 (57:11):
Let them speak more and just listen. Okay.

Speaker 4 (57:13):
I like that because sometimes we have a tendency when
we're nervous to talk a lot. And I know on
this radio that's my job, but I'm talking about in
real life, when you're in a meeting, let them speak
and speak and speak. And according to the laws of power,
the less you say, the more intimidating and powerful you are.
Always say less and necessary. When you do speak, make

(57:34):
it vague and ambiguous. I don't know about that, leaving
the meeting to others to interpret. They'll be frustrated and
obsessed with trying to figure you out. Fifty Cent told
me this one time too.

Speaker 3 (57:44):
That's same advice.

Speaker 4 (57:45):
He said when he goes into meetings, he lets them talk. Yeah,
and it makes people uncomfortable. And it does say this
in the Laws of Power, and I think it's in
his book too that he has. He said, when you're
silent you make other people uncomfortable because they dislike uncertainty.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
I want to know what you're thinking.

Speaker 4 (58:00):
When you control your words, they can't figure out what
you mean or intend. Short answers and silence make people
feel defensive. They quickly try to fill the silence, and
then the process reveal motivations and weaknesses information you can use.

Speaker 3 (58:13):
I like that because I feel like it's pretty simple
to do. Yeah, if you ever want to make people uncomfortable.

Speaker 5 (58:18):
Just.

Speaker 3 (58:21):
Angelus is looking at me with this blank expression, just.

Speaker 4 (58:23):
In the meeting, just let them talk and then they're
like uh. And then people try to fill in the
blank spaces and they just keep on going and going
and going. It just like because sometimes when you get
nervous in certain spaces, you tend to overtalk.

Speaker 3 (58:36):
Yeah, say too much and say too much, and you're
just trying to like, all right, now, what now?

Speaker 5 (58:40):
What?

Speaker 4 (58:40):
They're not reacting, they're not responding, and that does make
a person nervous. Imagine you go on a job interview,
you go to a meeting, and the person's just not
saying awkward so awkward?

Speaker 3 (58:52):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 4 (58:53):
According to the forty eight Laws of power, and most instances,
the less you say, the more important and profound it seems,
and the more mysterious you For example, Andy Warhol found
that he had more power when he said little and
kept his comments vague and ambiguous. Sometimes he made purposely
meaningless comments and if you struggle to interpret what he meant,
believing it was profound.

Speaker 3 (59:12):
Oh gosh, like fake deep. You see his documentary Fake Deep?
Yeah deep? He said, Well, what was in his documentary?
He kind of talked about that.

Speaker 5 (59:21):
He seemed very He was very I don't want to
say basic in terms of like you seem really deep.

Speaker 3 (59:26):
But then you're like, okay, You're like, okay, he's being
fake deep.

Speaker 4 (59:29):
Right, all right, Well that was just some advice in
an article that we were reading about how to sound
smarter when making small talk. But I do think asking
for advice does make you look smarter because people who
are confident don't have a problem. Yeah, And people also
don't have a problem saying when they don't know something.

Speaker 17 (59:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (59:46):
I like that.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
And it also makes you seem like you're interested when
you ask questions.

Speaker 4 (59:49):
All right, when we come back, we have asked, ye
eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty is the
number if you need any advice, look at us. Just
give an advice all day eight hundred and maybe we'll
ask you for advice. Eight hundred two nine fifty one
fifty ask ye when we come back. It's way up
at Angela Yee sins with.

Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
This relationship for career advice. Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 4 (01:00:10):
This is as d what's up as the way up
at Angela Yee? I'm Angela ye, and Jasmine from the
Jasmine brand is here and we are doing ask yee.
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty is the number.

Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
Hey, l how you doing?

Speaker 9 (01:00:22):
I'm great about yourself, miss Ye.

Speaker 3 (01:00:24):
I'm good, Thank you? What is your question?

Speaker 9 (01:00:27):
Okay? Well, I'm dating a girl right now and she's uh,
she's she's not really communicative, not really involved like personality wise,
and her love language is purely physical. That's the way
it seems to me. But I'm bored as hell. I'm
a safe feel sexual and I'm just like, I don't
I don't.

Speaker 8 (01:00:45):
Know what to do.

Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
How long have you guys been dating?

Speaker 9 (01:00:49):
About almost two years?

Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
Well that's a long time for you to have been bored.
Did things change?

Speaker 9 (01:00:55):
I was like that, I mean sexually, I was you know,
it was titan, you know, the whole first year or whatever.
I guess, but I'm looking for something deeper, and it's
just like, mentally, I'm just not being fulfilled.

Speaker 3 (01:01:07):
Okay, So it feels like she's just not the right
person for you.

Speaker 18 (01:01:11):
Damn.

Speaker 8 (01:01:12):
I mean.

Speaker 4 (01:01:15):
You're telling me what does she say when you talk
to her about this? Because it feels like the conversation
is not up to par.

Speaker 9 (01:01:21):
She just gets upset and it's just like her response
is like, well, you know, I don't talk a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:01:26):
Is there a reason for that?

Speaker 4 (01:01:27):
Like has she ever expressed anything in her life that
maybe makes her more closed off?

Speaker 9 (01:01:33):
No idea. I kind of I used to think like
maybe she was like abused or sexually abused, or something
happened wrong in her life. And I was trying to
pry a little bit, but I can't get nothing. It's
just kind of empty.

Speaker 3 (01:01:49):
Is she like that with everybody around her? Her friends,
her family?

Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
I don't believe.

Speaker 9 (01:01:55):
So, Okay, she seems a little bit more out gone
with other people, but yeah, with me, it's just yeah,
it's like her love language is like purely touch physical,
just you know, affectionate and just you know, want to
be held and I just need some conversation, right, never,

(01:02:15):
this is a unique problem.

Speaker 4 (01:02:17):
Do you know her friends and family, Like, do you
ever ask them what their thoughts are? Have you ever
been around everybody together once?

Speaker 18 (01:02:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (01:02:26):
Actually I was just at a like a graduation get
together for her son, and she was involved with everybody
else in the family, like a lot of involvement, a
lot of chatter.

Speaker 4 (01:02:39):
But I just don't get that right, because I'm thinking
maybe if you're around her circle more frequently and she's
comfortable speaking around them, it might make her more comfortable,
you know, looking at you as as not just her
lover but also her friend.

Speaker 9 (01:02:55):
Okay, and because but on a friend's side, like I
don't I think I met one of her friends.

Speaker 3 (01:03:02):
Yeah, I think you need to know more about her circle.

Speaker 4 (01:03:05):
And then I would also say, because you guys have
a very it seems physical sexual relationship, maybe there's more
things that you need to do that doesn't include that, right,
Maybe it's more of you getting to know her as
a person and doing things that don't include intimacy.

Speaker 9 (01:03:20):
I try to, but you know, it's just the advance
turns into like real you know, it's just boring. It's tough,
tough like this is. This is a difficult personality for me.
I'm a Gemini and I'm very talkative and I'm shy. Yeah,
I'm you know, yeah, I'm a very personable, conversational type

(01:03:44):
of dude.

Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
Sounds like you're not compatible.

Speaker 4 (01:03:46):
Yeah, I mean, it's just feeling like everything is great physically,
but as far as you being able to connect on
a conversational intellectual level, it's not there.

Speaker 9 (01:03:57):
Okay, all right. I just wanted to hear from a woman,
and I think you're all right because I came to
that conclusion a while ago.

Speaker 4 (01:04:04):
Okay, Yeah, I mean, like it happens, you know, and
it doesn't make you a person, right or her a
bad person?

Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
Right right?

Speaker 9 (01:04:13):
Just I guess we're just a little bit off the mark.
I guess.

Speaker 3 (01:04:15):
All right, Well, thank you. I wish you the best.
Good luck. You got to find somebody that's on that lady.

Speaker 4 (01:04:20):
Yeah, all right, when we come back, we have the
last words, you know, you guys have the last word
every single day on way up at Angela. Ye, eight
hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty is a number.

Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
It's way up.

Speaker 1 (01:04:31):
Take up the phone, tamping to get your voice heard
what the word he is the last word on way
up with Angela ye woo, It's way.

Speaker 4 (01:04:42):
Up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. And Jasmine from
the Jasmine Brand is.

Speaker 3 (01:04:45):
Here, Yes, angel on my own brand.

Speaker 4 (01:04:48):
Y'all are very passionate today. They were about College Hill
and whether or not they should show the fight.

Speaker 3 (01:04:54):
Let on fight, let them fight, and people.

Speaker 4 (01:04:57):
Were hitting me up on Twitter making sure that we know.
Mm hm hold, I'm gonna tell you what this one
person said, because oh, somebody was really going hard for
Amber Rose, saying, you know, Amber Rose was not gonna
get beat up.

Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
She's from Philly.

Speaker 5 (01:05:10):
See, that's That's exactly why I wanted to see the
scuffle because I wanted to know was it true with
Jocelyn was sayingcause Jocelyn said she dog walked her. Mm
hmm okay, those are aggressive descriptive terms in terms of
a tussle.

Speaker 10 (01:05:22):
She said.

Speaker 4 (01:05:22):
The mad singer said, listening to Philly right now, Amber
is South Philly, down Ill Philly baby, no word. She
walked right over to Jocelyn and swung heavy, heavy on her. Nope,
so Jocelyn, get that South Philly ass whooping. Okay, I
was so passionate about that. We're invested you, especially Jasmine.
You want to see this fight so bad.

Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
I'm for the people.

Speaker 4 (01:05:42):
I feel like you can get your hands on that
footage and maybe posted on the Jasmine, but no, I can.

Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
All right, well, listen, tomorrow is one of my favorite days.

Speaker 4 (01:05:52):
It is my favorite day. Your favorite day is today, Thursday.
You actually have a flight to catch today, I do.
A lot of fights have been delayed and that's all
because of this air quality issue.

Speaker 3 (01:06:02):
Yes, and my flight was delayed already. Yeah, that's been
going on.

Speaker 4 (01:06:05):
So people who are leaving out of here, just wherever
you are, I know this is affecting a lot of
different areas. Just make sure you're checking to see what's
going on in the airports. What's going on with these flights,
what's going on with this air quality. I've been like
a little bit out of it.

Speaker 5 (01:06:18):
Yeah, you have you need to put were your mask,
Angela and here no when you go outside to walk
back home.

Speaker 3 (01:06:25):
Yeah, I'm still looking at the updates. My flight was delayed.

Speaker 4 (01:06:29):
Some other flights millions across the US and Canada remain
at risk of inhaling potentially harmful air as wildfire smoke
originating from Canada shrouds major US cities, and they're saying
winds of forecast to push thick smoke farthest south into
the mid Atlantic, meaning the same smoke scene in New
York City this week. Put some other Delaware, Maryland, Northern Virginia,
and Washington, DC.

Speaker 3 (01:06:49):
Today.

Speaker 5 (01:06:50):
Yeah, I saw DC has some alerts going on. You know,
if you have underlying health issues, you have to be
very particular and very careful when you're out in this
kind of environment.

Speaker 4 (01:07:00):
Yeah, in New Jersey they closed certain school districts because
of poor air quality.

Speaker 16 (01:07:05):
Today.

Speaker 4 (01:07:05):
It's serious and New York kids had planned a day
off on Thursday and a school based staff event.

Speaker 3 (01:07:11):
A schedule for the day has gone remote.

Speaker 4 (01:07:13):
Pennsylvania, more than one hundred thousand students are encouraged to
wear masks on their way to school. So just make
sure y'all pay attention to what's going on in your area.

Speaker 3 (01:07:23):
Be safe, be careful.

Speaker 4 (01:07:24):
Again, more flight delays than rain or fog. Wildfire smoke
causes more flight delays, and it's a serious thing right now,
absolutely all right, So be safe out there, everybody. And
I had one less oh one last thing I wanted
to say. I wanted to shout out to Jamie Hector. Okay,
he's the actor first really well known for The Wire

(01:07:48):
by Marlowe.

Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
That's what I loved him on the Wire, but also
you know the star of bosh Yep as well. I
was sad when that show ended.

Speaker 4 (01:07:56):
Yes, but he has an organization called Moving Mountains and
it really kids with the Arts, Okay, and it's a
nonprofit and I'm actually hosting next week his fundraiser. But
I just think it's amazing a lot of the kids
I've had a chance to see them perform and what
they're able to learn, and him donating his time and
so many people also contributing. So I think it's important
you to study the arts are four times more likely

(01:08:18):
to be recognized for academic achievement, you know. So we
just have to make sure we encourage these types of
programs for our kids. So shout out to Jamie Hector.
And of course you guys have the last word. One
eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. I almost
forgot the number. I know it must be the air quality.
One eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. Let's

(01:08:38):
hear your last word.

Speaker 22 (01:08:40):
I is Jonda all the way from Virginia. I would
like to shine the light on my sister in law,
the Shan the Hubbard. She fought the good fight with
breast cancer. She fought for a long time and we
lost her today. I just want to shine the light
on her because she fought. She fought, and she heart
and she taught. Let's today the Lord caught her home

(01:09:04):
Shina life right now.

Speaker 8 (01:09:06):
I love you.

Speaker 11 (01:09:07):
Yeah, I just want to speak on that young situation
by them and his gender reveal and another woman called
us her. Now that's what's wrong today. Nobody lying there
on business. She's just stayed in her lane. Everything might
would have been okay. Now she lost that on everything,
all the money. She could have got all the money
if she was getting crazy. Yeah, this Mike actually wake

(01:09:31):
on Texas by way of love.

Speaker 9 (01:09:33):
Have a woman entry.

Speaker 19 (01:09:34):
Hey Angela, this is Lisa. I wanted to call in
about the pool. It's to whether we want to see
the document in the end, the mole tight. It's funny
because I'm on both sides of the face. It's like
when I see on like social media, how they keep
showing girls tight and a guy sitting in and feeling

(01:09:54):
and you know, they don't break it up or stop it,
and they sell me. I feel disgusted about it, and
then like on reality TV, I want to see that.

Speaker 10 (01:10:04):
That's what I want to see.

Speaker 6 (01:10:05):
So ye I want to see

Speaker 2 (01:10:07):
