Speaker 5 (00:24):
Your lips are popping.

Speaker 4 (00:25):

it's difficult.

lip service shirt on and a matches that red lip
service t shirt.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
I was outside. I didn't do all this stuff you
did yesterday.

Speaker 6 (00:59):
But you ate and you showed me a video because
you're a hater, and you know I like to eat,
and you know I.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Sent her a video some food, some and pinatas from
where it was a restaurant called anyejo.

Speaker 5 (01:09):
Oh oh oh, I know where. I know where it
is too.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Yeah, there's a couple of them.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
It's on the way to where I get my nails
done over weird.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Okay, all right, well yeah, so shout out to that.
I also rang the closing bell at the Nasdak yesterday.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
Big deal, big deal.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
I sent you a video of that too.

Speaker 6 (01:24):
I got that me and mate, you send a video
to me and man, how did you feel about that?
Are you going to talk about that at some point?

Speaker 4 (01:29):
We actually did that before too where I heard when
I heard when public, I know, but this is yeah,
this was nice because it was a room full of
black women taking over to nas Dad watch out, baby bye.
All right, we'll talk about it that when about last night.
But when we come back it's oh and by the way,
Stephen Jackson is going to be joining us today.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yack five.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
He's hilarious.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
Yeah, you're gonna love this interview. So we had a
good time with Stephen Jackson. Now when we come back,
we're gonna shine a light on him. This is how
we always start the show with some positivity, showing love.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Eight hundred and two nine fifty one fifty is a number.

Speaker 7 (02:01):
Call this up.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Let us know who you want to shine a light on.
It's way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
I'm shin.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Turn your lights on, y'all. It'spreading love to those who
are doing greatness.

Speaker 8 (02:12):
Shine a light on, shine a light on.

Speaker 7 (02:16):
It's time to shine a light on.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
Yes, it's way up with Angela ye. I'm Angela yee.
And Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 5 (02:24):
Yes, good morning Angela, Good morning Jasmine.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Good to see you today.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
I know were outside, baby, were outside outside?

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Okay, No, we're really not. We're so corny. We don't
even do nothing, Like let's just lay on the couch
and watch TV.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
And I'll make you take shots in the house.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Yeah, I'm like, I don't want to come on take
a shot. But we of course want to shine a
light on somebody, and today I want to shine a
light on Sandra Keen. She is from Paradigm for Parody.
I actually did a Paradigm for Parody live on LinkedIn
with her. Okay, but she is definitely a person who
is leading the charge when it comes to discussing women's empowerment,

(03:01):
diversity in the workforce. Uh, talking about finances diversity and inclusion,
all of those things. I love the work that she's doing,
and she actually is one of the reasons why I
was at the Nasdak yesterday for ringing the closing bell.
It's a whole initiative that they did, you know, the
elite with the elite one hundred. I know that's right, women,

(03:24):
I know that's what's her name against, Sandra kinse Okay,
Sandra Kensey, Yes me, So let's shout out to Sandra
from a paradigm for parody.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
Beautiful.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Now, Jennifer, you want to shine a light on him?
How are you?

Speaker 9 (03:36):
I'm fine?

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Good, Thank you? Who would you like to shine a
light on?

Speaker 10 (03:40):
I want to tan a light on for my father,
you know, with my father, that is another he's taking
away from me. I want to also give a shout
out to mom. My grandmother.

Speaker 11 (04:00):
Did all she could me. You know, I'm blessed.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
I don't all right, Well, shout out to your father
and to your whole family. Condolences you know, yes, our condolences.
But you know what, I love the fact that you
were able to have your father just take care of
you and have that love in your life for as
long as you did. That's a blessing for sure. All right, well,
thank you for calling. Hello, good morning.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Who's this?

Speaker 5 (04:29):
Good morning?

Speaker 3 (04:30):
This is Brand Georgia, Branded Atlanta Georgia. Who do you
want to shine a light on?

Speaker 1 (04:37):
I would love to shine a light on my beautiful wife.

Speaker 11 (04:39):
Her name is Maya.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
She has her own business down here south of Atlanta.

Speaker 11 (04:44):
Oh my beauty.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
If y'all get a chance, follow her on Instagram. That's
old hm ai beauty, Oh my beauty?

Speaker 5 (04:53):
What kind of what?

Speaker 8 (04:53):
What?

Speaker 3 (04:53):
What is?

Speaker 5 (04:54):
Oh my beauty? What is it? What does she do?

Speaker 12 (04:56):
She does?

Speaker 1 (04:57):
She's a last tag make wax people.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
Okay, full service.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
I was gonna say, if y'all ever come to town,
I got y'all just pick y'all a disc I'll make
sure y'all taking care of for sure.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Oh she does full body waxing too.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
He love a discount and I love a wax.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Yes, yes, yeah, okay.

Speaker 13 (05:17):
She has a good time.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
She has good social media on here too. I like that.
And she's a licensed esthetician. Yes, ma'am, I am.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
I wanted to call the time Eric was up there.
Eric Bellinger was up there. He actually helped me proposed
to my wife.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
He did Wow, tell us the story.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
It was Christmas he uh me and him were talking
through an Instagram DM then he said, yeah, I'll help
you out. I proposed and I said hey, And when
I gave her the phone, it was him that the
wife been making good Franklin.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Oh wow, that's so dope. It'sout out to Eric Bellinger,
real standard.

Speaker 14 (05:53):
God.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
I love to hear stories like that that he'll never
tell us.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
He's a good dude.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
All right, Well, thank you Brandon, and shout out to Maya.
Oh my beauty, m A.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
I yes, ma'am, thank you, take care all right for bye.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
That was Hina light On. I'm eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty one fifty. You can always call and
leave a message just in case you couldn't get through.
And we got yee t when we come back. And
in the yet, let's talk about Kiki Kiki Palmer. She
is talking about her body. There's a new Instagram video
out and uh I love it.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
We love Keicky Palmer. It's way up at Angela.

Speaker 7 (06:24):
Ye, don't she about to blow the lid ab off this?
But let's get it. Oh, Angela's feeling that yee te,
come and get the Tea.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
What's up? It's way up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
I'm Angela Yee and Jasmine from the world renowned the
Jasmine brand dot Com is here. Happy brand on my
own brand. Happy Tuesday, Happy Tuesday. All right, let's get
into this yek te Baby Kiki Palmer put up a
new Instagram video and she also caught us some lyrics.
Don't think I don't know what this body does so

(06:54):
good that you want to hide me from the truth?
Get into the new album hashtag big ball us all right. So, yeah,
she's definitely, I think, even though there's been some things
happening in her relationship with her her children's father having
issues with the way that she was dressed at the

(07:16):
Usher concert while he serenaded her, she's definitely still moving
forward and also capitalizing off of it.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
She surely is.

Speaker 6 (07:23):
And I would like to point out we didn't talk
about it yesterday, but the fact that I don't know
if you remember, like a month or so ago, he
posted a video of her body talking about how her
body looks, and yeah, you know, so it's like, why
you get to post it but she can't.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
I can't post myself. Yeah, all right, Kiki all right,
we'll see what happens. I know you and was it
you and Maino had a bet?

Speaker 5 (07:42):
We did.

Speaker 6 (07:43):
Maino thinks that they are going to break up, release on.
I think they'll be they'll stay together all right for
a while, all right now.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Kiki Palmer also did an interview with People and she
talked about the struggles of breastfeeding and how it's not
that easy and she said she didn't know where to
start at first, but eventually found a lactation consultant that
helped her tremendously.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
See I don't know these things. I don't have children.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
I use one of those too.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Oh you did, Yeah, what do they tell you?

Speaker 6 (08:06):
They give you different techniques in form like it's like
a little different you know, maneuvers to get the N
latch on and stay on.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
She said that's what really made the difference for her,
and she said not everybody is able to afford one
or even find a good one. She said, I wish
that everybody had access to lactation consultants. It sucks that
it's kind of a luxury. They have people saying breast
is best, breast is best, but not everyone can even
get support.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
That's a mess.

Speaker 6 (08:30):
Yeah, and also it was hard for me to breastfeed,
and it's everyone. Every woman does not have the capability
to breastfeed, especially if you have like a premie or
your baby's in the hospital still or you know, how
do you know, sometimes you're not producing enough milk to
feed your child.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Yeah, and they people try to shame you if you
don't do it.

Speaker 5 (08:46):
Yeah they do. Yeah, you really do.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
So we appreciate her for her honesty when it comes
to that. All right, Now, Easter and Ray has a
multi year partnership with Deaf Jam. They'll give her and
her label, It's Radio right are Ae d Io, the
opportunity to sign, market and distribute signed artists through def
Jam's network. And I feel like before, wasn't it with

(09:09):
Atlantic I don't know or something I don't know. Yes,
the previous partner was Atlantic Records, because I remember when
they made that announcement that was back in twenty nineteen.
They also have a multi project development deal with Audible
to create original content and they did that deal last year.

Speaker 6 (09:23):
You know, I feel like this makes sense because when
I used to watch Insecure, one of my favorite party, Yes,
one of my favorite parts was the music on Insecure,
the soundtracks and stuff.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
I thought, yes, there were songs that I remember that
they would play on Insecure, and I was like, oh,
how do you do this song?

Speaker 5 (09:36):
Were there were songs I didn't know that I would
look up after watching the episode.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
And by the way, speaking of which, Rapish got their
season two premiere date at Max and so the eighth
episode second season Danta is going to be debuting with
two episodes on August tenth, and then there'll be one
episode weekly after that. The season finale will be on
September twenty first. There's also a trailer. You got to
watch it. Okay, cool if you want to see what's

(10:02):
in that trailer. And so Insecure is also on Netflix now,
which is a deal that's not really anything that's been
done before. I was actually yesterday when I was on
Netflix saw and Secure was on there. Yeah, that's dope,
all right? Now, I imagine you pay all this money
for a feature and ye don't like it. Leveon Bell
had that problem right now. He approaches his music very
seriously and invest in it as well. And over the

(10:24):
weekend he tweeted money Bag and Stana for Vegas. I
paid both for versus, he said, decided not to drop
those tracks because he said, honestly, I didn't like their verses.
I felt like they just went in the booth and
recorded something as fast as they could get as they
could to get a quick couple of bands. Kudos, y'all
got it for me personally, Unless you're Drake, Scizza or Rihanna,

(10:44):
you gotta at least try or I'm not about to
just drop the song just because your name is attached
to it, straight up. So that's why I never dropped
the tracks to money Bag or Sonate for Vegas and
most likely never will. Take Keith produced a song that
money Bag was on. Take Keith did and't do a
thing wrong to me? The beat crazy af he snapped,
Take Keith respect.

Speaker 6 (11:02):
I wonder how much he paid and also did he
hit them up before he got on Twitter and told
them he didn't like the verse?

Speaker 15 (11:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Because I also feel like if somebody sends you a
verse and you don't like it, you should say I
don't like the verse?

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Can you do something else harder?

Speaker 5 (11:16):
Yeah, go harder or give me a refund?

Speaker 4 (11:18):
Well, sometimes you gotta go in the studio with them,
or can you get half? Because it's crazy because artists
don't go in the studio together like they used to
have to do back in the day.

Speaker 7 (11:27):
Right.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
I remember when I worked for Wu Tang, they would
be in the studio, rented a house, got a mansion.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
They had a wo mansion in New Jersey.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Where they would all work out of it together. I
feel like that's when it always sounded the best.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
Yeah, I don't think they did that here.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
What Oh yeah, No, clearly not.

Speaker 8 (11:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
All right, well that is your yet. And when we
come back, we have about last night. And as I
told y'all, I rang the closing bell at the NASDAC
with a group of amazing women from the elites one hundred.
And we'll discuss that in Jasmine, I know. Are you
allowed to talk about what you did? I'll talk about vaguely, Okay,
all right, well that is your yet about last night.
Next it's way up at Angela yee ye night.

Speaker 7 (12:07):
So about last night last night? Last night es I
went down.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
Yeah, it's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee
and Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Yes, Hager, Hey, hey girl, and we're doing about last night.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
That's where we talk about things that we did last night,
and Jasmine, I know you were in d C. You
were actually here and then all of a sudden, you're like,
I gotta go to DC, I gotta go to DZ.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
So what were you doing?

Speaker 6 (12:33):
So yeah, I can't really talk too much in depth
about it, but I went that's intriguing.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Yes, I want to know more, and it's.

Speaker 6 (12:40):
Not so juicy. I went down to d C. I
left here caught a train. That's how pressed I was.
The you know, the flights are crazy right now in
terms of like delays and stuff and cancel.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
I don't know what's going on.

Speaker 6 (12:52):
Yeah, so anyway, that's not part of the story that
the thing is. I went back to DC. Wendy from
Real Housewives of Atomac she had something that she's working
on and she asked me to participate in it. So okay,
it was me and a group of black women.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Did you know her already or was this I've met
Wendy in passing.

Speaker 6 (13:10):
I'm a fan of the show. I like Real Housewives
of Atomac and I like it. I like Wendy and
and she's you know, she's a she's a dope person,
and so I'm super excited for her what she has
going on, and it'll play out, you know, on the show.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
So yeah, ooh yeah, so you're gonna be on Real
Housewives basically.

Speaker 5 (13:27):
Uh yeah, probably yeah yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
Okay, Well, yesterday I was at the Nasdaq uh huh,
and we wearing the closing bell and that was for
the twenty twenty three Elite one hundred Wealth and Legacy Summits. Yes,
that was brought to you by paradiver Parity and Diversity
Women Media. So basically what they do is they identify

(13:50):
every year one hundred women who are diverse women I'm
in a color who are CEOs and every year, and
doctor Sheila Robinson is ext the person who started this,
they identified one hundred different women so that the list
isn't the same year after year, you know how you
always see that the top list just to show that
black women, women of color can be CEOs and lead

(14:12):
companies and be amazing. And there's a lot of us
when people try to act like, oh, we don't know,
we couldn't find anybody to hire for this position. No,
there's plenty of qualified women who can lead GM positions
black women. Yes, And so I was actually on a
panel and one of the conversation topics was defining wealth
and legacy and why is this a hot topic now?

(14:35):
And that's wealth and legacy in the black community. Oh okay,
what do you think wealth and legacy is in the
black community.

Speaker 6 (14:42):
I think it's something we have to work on. I
think it's you know, my family, I don't come from wealth.
You know, I don't know a lot of people, a
lot of black people. I don't know a lot of
Black people that come from wealth. So I feel like
we have a bit more of a we have a
lot more of a learning.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
Curve, right because it's not like we most of us have.
You know what a great but rare thing it is
when you have a house that's just passed down to
right land and now I don't have to worry about property,
right Yeah, I don't have to worry about buying a
home paying rent. I have a house and I know
I can live in. That is such a relief financially.
It is when it comes to you even looking for

(15:19):
a job or an internship, you don't have to worry
about how much it Paige, you can get the experience.
And I think, well, I got to pay my rent. Well,
I gotta do this, you know, where am I not
have that wing on you?

Speaker 5 (15:30):
Because that's a burden. And also we didn't, you know,
for years not.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
To have student loans.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
What does that feel like? I mean some people do know'
know that feels like, but yeah, I don't.

Speaker 6 (15:37):
But also just think about for years, you know, we
couldn't even get We couldn't even stay at neighborhoods, We
couldn't buy property that we wanted to. We were rent
lined out. You know, we just came in the game
that got taken you had taken from us. So just
the basics. So I think wealth is just a different
conversation for us. And I feel like we, you know,
are a lot behind because of just how we were
treated in this country.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
And then I think all of this also plays into
what's going on in Supreme Court when it comes to
affirmative action, when it comes to also student loan forgiveness,
you know, in the Senate. So it's just a lot
of those different conversations. It's kind of what we were discussing.
So that was my about last night.

Speaker 5 (16:13):
I love that.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Yeah, And it was definitely a room full of mostly
black and women of color, so there was a couple
of white women but love it. Okay, yeah, but it
was great and it was a great space to be
in and a lot of networking got done. You know,
I love that. I'm sad I missed it, so I
know I had you on the list. They were like,
where's Jazz?

Speaker 6 (16:32):
But you know what, Angela, I'm super excited that you
have these opportunities and you get to talk to them,
you to talk about them and share them, and it's
a big deal.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
I'm excited too. And this brings me to the next thing.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
Okay, I don't know if it does, but okay.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
It does. Dating while broke?

Speaker 4 (16:48):
Now, I saw on the Pack to Prosperity Instagram page.
This was a topic that they had should you date
while you're broke? And this is a topic that I
remember a guy told me when time he didn't ask
me out because he was broke and he felt like
he couldn't just take me out. And sometimes, you know,
you don't want to admit that to people because money
is a hard thing to discuss. Yeah, imagine you meet

(17:10):
a guy and he's like, I don't have no money,
but you know I would love to take you out.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
Yeah, that's very honest.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
With him, very honest? Where'd you go?

Speaker 5 (17:17):
I told you that you look expensive?

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Angela, I'm not look at me. I gotta promo T
shirt on sweat.

Speaker 6 (17:21):
Aandola, go out of your earrings? Those earrings are what?
What kind of brag did you bag? Did you bring
it today?

Speaker 4 (17:27):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty is the
number we want to know what you guys think about
dating while broke.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
I think it's okay, Jasmine?

Speaker 5 (17:35):
What do you not so much?

Speaker 4 (17:36):
All right, well we're gonna talk about it. You guys
are gonna pick a side. Should you date while broke? Yes,
money shouldn't matter? Or no, you should not date while broke?
How dare you?

Speaker 5 (17:45):
I didn't say it like that, but.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Eight hundred two fifty one fifty call us up and
pick a side.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
It's not just right or wrong. It's about what you believe.
It's time to pick a side and stay there.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (18:00):
Way up at, Angela? Yee, I'm Angela Yee. Jasmine from
the Jasmine Brand is here.

Speaker 5 (18:03):
I love this music Angelo.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
And it's time to pick asie. Okay, all right? Do
you think that you should date while broke?

Speaker 3 (18:09):
No? Why not?

Speaker 6 (18:10):
Because you need to focus on getting your funds together.
Dating can be a distraction. You don't need distractions. You
need to focus on getting your money back together, pay
your bills, and get yourself together.

Speaker 5 (18:18):
Then you can date.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Okay, Well, I say it's okay as long as you can.
You know, you might not be able to afford extravagant
things and gifts and things like that, but you can
be extremely creative.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
Right walks in the park, you can find.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
What if I get hungry? What if I get hungry
by a pretzel?

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Okay, but there's all kinds of things that you can
do and find to do that don't cost much money.
And when I say broke, I don't mean that you
have zero dollars period. I just mean that your funds
are very low. We want to see what you guys think.
Should you date while broke? Pick a side, yes or no?

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Hey, China, how.

Speaker 16 (18:49):
Are you I'm going? How are you?

Speaker 3 (18:52):
I'm good?

Speaker 4 (18:53):
So pick a side. Do you agree with Jasmine, don't
date while you're broke?

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Or you agree with me? You can still date even
if you're broke.

Speaker 16 (18:59):
Okay, So I'm an ajazement. I don't think that you
should date. It's our growth. Additionally, Okay, if you don't
have the fun to date, then why are you dating?
How are you going to take a personality? How do
you do that? Okay, I'm going through a similar situation
but different. When I met the person with fine financially,
but now that we're like into dating, he's caught up

(19:19):
as something that he's gonna find and now it's just
like them, you don't really have it, you know what
I mean. But it's like understanding the person that you're with, say,
from the time that you being date into them and
the chemistry that you have with them and the energy
they don't energy.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
So if you would have met him in the situation
that he's in now, you wouldn't have dated him.

Speaker 16 (19:36):
Probably not, I know my standards. Then I couldn't deal
with something like that.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
What kind of broke is he?

Speaker 7 (19:40):
Like?

Speaker 6 (19:41):
Can he not afford to pay his rent? Or is
he just kind of like I don't have anything extra?

Speaker 16 (19:45):
It was an unfac situation that happened. He doesn't really
have anything extra right now?

Speaker 3 (19:49):
You having him with.

Speaker 16 (19:52):
I did help?

Speaker 3 (19:52):
Actually, Okay, I like that.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
That's why you don't though quick.

Speaker 16 (19:57):
When you're with someone and you guys are like to
go together and stuff, and you have but understand it
and you start to know that person, then it's genuine,
you know.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
But just think about it.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
You would have never dated him before, but now look
at how you feel about him. You're helping him. But
if you would have met him like this, you could
have missed that on a good thing.

Speaker 16 (20:14):
Absolutely, that's true. But at the same time you can't
afford it that you shouldn't be dating.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
But this dating always coluss monch a little bit, a
little bit, a.

Speaker 16 (20:23):
Little bit always. I mean I'm on offense with that
because I can go on a date. You can go
I'm a picnic, you know, with some way to.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Creative see me, I'm fine, take me to the.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
Yeah, I mean, I'm home.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
You could do that.

Speaker 16 (20:38):
We could take a nice walk and stroll in the park.
But I felt, wowd you go to findance? Is picking
automatically like you go to the.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Museum on the free day.

Speaker 5 (20:45):
There's only so many free things you can do this,
but it's just like, okay, now.

Speaker 8 (20:49):
What we're gonna do? All right?

Speaker 3 (20:50):
Well, thank you so much for sharing with us.

Speaker 16 (20:52):
You're welcoming you guys.

Speaker 15 (20:53):
Talk up the day you.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Too, Hey, Lexi, how are you?

Speaker 15 (20:57):
And good the poet for you.

Speaker 16 (20:59):
How you doing?

Speaker 4 (20:59):
It's good to tak too. You to this man, Jasmine,
we want you to pick a side. Should you date
while you're broke?

Speaker 3 (21:05):
Okay? She says, no, you shouldn't. I say it's okay.

Speaker 16 (21:08):
Okay, So I feel like it's okay today while you broke,
just simply because money shouldn't be you know, the turning
in if somebody you know should have a chance or not.
Like I was saying, you can you can take somebody
who has no money and they can not no money.
Ain't saying like zero dollars, but somebody who has you know,
like a bank account, yeah, limited funds, whatever, and they

(21:31):
can show you like the time of your life, you know,
for the truth.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
And then as.

Speaker 16 (21:35):
Oppose, you can go out with somebody who has so
much money they're trying to flatter you, do this and
that when it it doesn't even take all that by
that time, like somebody like me, I get pushed away
if you're trying to like show off all your money.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
Right, it's a balance, you like money, Yeah, it's a balance.

Speaker 16 (21:48):
So I honestly feel like it depends on who you're
talking to, because of like the times in these days
everybody's doing on social media and what they see and
what they should be getting. But you know, honestly, I
feel like, as long as you're not homeless, down broke,
real bad, at that point, you should be worried about
something else.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
Right, Yeah, that should be worried. How much now I
feel you that?

Speaker 4 (22:12):
I feel like, yes, limited funds, but you're like, look,
I can't do X, Y and Z right now. But
if you really like somebody and their personality is amazing
and they can be creative, because somebody that is broke
can be creative, you're figuring out where.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
They can go and how they can make this happen.

Speaker 6 (22:27):
But you got to be able to take me to dinner,
not an expensive dinner, but just you gotta be able
to take me to Aha.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
You ain't gonna be ordering on nineteen forty two.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
There you go.

Speaker 16 (22:35):
I hope to get the job done.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
It will all right, thank you? Yep, Hey, Rick, how
are you?

Speaker 11 (22:42):
Hey?

Speaker 15 (22:43):
What's up?

Speaker 11 (22:43):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (22:44):
What's that? What's up? You're ready to pick a side
about dating while.

Speaker 5 (22:46):
Broke already already know what Rick is gonna pick?

Speaker 4 (22:49):
Why because he's a guy. Jazz missays you shouldn't, I said, yeah,
go ahead.

Speaker 15 (22:52):
Personally me personally, I feel like dating while broke a
new relationship, like when me and my child's got together.
I felt hard times early in the relationship and I
kind of pushed her away, which made it seem like
I didn't want her. I just knew that we were
friends first.

Speaker 11 (23:09):
I know what she liked, I know what she.

Speaker 15 (23:11):
Deserved, and at the time I couldn't give it to her. Okay,
So it kind of made me distance myself a little
bit because I can't be myself when my money not right.
So I can't love you properly when my money ain't
right because it's.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
Your ego, right, you feel, and I feel that's.

Speaker 15 (23:26):
My personal ego, and she felt like I don't need it.
I got money. That's your money, baby, I need my
own money.

Speaker 11 (23:33):
You her.

Speaker 15 (23:34):
When I want to do something for you, I want
to do it for you. I don't want to be like,
this is my idea, but you pay for it.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
That's fair, now, okay, agree with Jazz.

Speaker 15 (23:43):
Now, if you already rocking with a person and you
for them on hard time, that don't mean break up
because your money ain't right. But if you don't know
me to know that I get to the bag and
I'm going to get back up and it's a new relationship.
I don't want you to be like, Yo, this dude broke,
he ain't have money in six works.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Yeah, and you know what, And that's why I feel
like a lot of guys don't want to date while
they're broke.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
That's I think a lot of guys would agree with that.

Speaker 15 (24:07):
Yea, that's a man with a purpose.

Speaker 11 (24:10):
He broke.

Speaker 15 (24:11):
Yeah, but I guy, they be home, both sexuals, they
just be out here now. On the other side, I knew,
I bring what I bring and that's gonna be what
it's gonna be, whether I'm broke or not. Okay, sometimes
you got to do it for your life.

Speaker 8 (24:25):
Thank you out here for your life.

Speaker 5 (24:28):
Oh my gosh, that's hilarious.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
Thank you Rick.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
All right, Yeah, I told you.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
A guy told me before he didn't want to ask
me out because he was broken. He didn't have the
money to be able to do the things that he
wanted to do.

Speaker 8 (24:40):
You know.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
I think for me, just the position that I'm in
the only thing that's hard to determine is what people
want from you.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Because it was it don't want.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
Somebody feeling like you got it and take advantage and
then using you expect, you know, certain things, because I've
definitely had friends and even women friends who want you
to just pay for everything and don't even offer to
pay for stuff.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
The entitlement, yeah, the entitlement of it all is what
bothers me.

Speaker 4 (25:03):
But if we vibe you're creative, you're making an effort,
you know, I'm okay with that.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
Okay, that's fair, all.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
Right, but y'all agree with Jasmine two to one you
should not date while broke.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
Thank you?

Speaker 4 (25:12):
All right, we do have yet when we come back,
and let's talk about Jocelyn. She is trending on social
media and this video is whoo all right, it's way
up with Angela yee.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
They say from Industry Shade to all of gossip out,
Angela's speeling that.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
All right, it's way up with Angela yee. I'm Angela yee.
And Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
Yes, I'm my own brand man.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
And let's start with this Jocelyn Hernandez video that has surfaced.
This footage was obtained by TMZ. This is new footage
from after the fight that she had with Big lex
right that she got arrested for. And she was actually
in South Florida. And by the way, this is when
I guess Floyd Mayweather was having his.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Fight for Zeus against John Gotti, Right, yeah, yes, And so.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
Man, listen this footage. What did you think when you
saw it? Because I saw a lot of people in
the comments like.

Speaker 5 (26:13):
Yo, Jocelyn is very strong man.

Speaker 8 (26:16):
You see.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
I had four of them, like one holding each leg
in each arm, and they still couldn't restrain her.

Speaker 5 (26:22):
They were really patient with her.

Speaker 4 (26:24):
My I add, right, and that's very rare. We'll say yes,
And she kept threatening to report them. She will say
it all they're gonna lose their jobs. Here's what some
of that footage sounded like.

Speaker 17 (26:35):
Hey, my man up, shut up.

Speaker 5 (26:56):
Mhmm.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
And she's threatening them, she's telling them you're gonna lose
your job. She's out of breath, she is screamed. I
don't know how she had the energy to be able
to do all of that.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
It was not good.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
I mean, and I don't know what happened before the
footage started. But this is from the bodycam footage, right,
so we were able to see that as they released
that footage.

Speaker 5 (27:14):
But Yeah, she's strong. She's a strong young lady.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Man.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
Listen, she's saying all kinds of things, and I don't
know if she was drunk.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
I don't know if she had to be.

Speaker 5 (27:22):
Something was going on.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
I feel like, all right, well, I'm sure we're hear
from her side of things, because Johnson is definitely like
the type of person to hold her tongue on it.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
So I'll be interested to hear what she has to
say about that.

Speaker 11 (27:32):
Now.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
Drake allegedly had to pay more than two hundred and
thirty thousand dollars after his show in Detroit.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
That's the same show where he.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Announced that Nicki Minaj was going to be on his
album featured on his album, and the video shows that
he said he would be fined ten thousand dollars per
minute that he went past the allotted time slot for
his show and the audience was like.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Let's go right.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
But according to the Detroit Free Press, they said that
that's not true. There's no curfew at Little Caesar's Arenak,
and so some people are saying no.

Speaker 6 (28:04):
Because I was going to say, if I was getting
charge of extra ten thousand dollars per minute, I would
probably end early.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
Ic to be sure, they'd be like, well, guys, my time.

Speaker 5 (28:12):
Is up here, I got to go home.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
That is a true thing where there's a union and
it happens. We've seen that happen many a time, where
people actually get fined or sometimes they have to cut
a show short if somebody shows up late because of
the cost.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
That it is all right.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
Meanwhile, the weekend his shows in London had more attendees
than the Wireless Festival. Wow, yes, more than the entire
Wireless three day festival. So his hours till Dawn shows
one hundred and sixty thousand people, the entire Wireless three
day Festival one hundred and fifty thousand.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
He is a megastar.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
Yeah, I don't know if the idol is getting renewed
for another season though, so much controversy with that, I know,
right all right? And JT from the City Girls, she
announced that she has a new single coming out on Friday.
It's called No It's her first single in ten years.
Bitch is always in my business. No Bars Friday and

(29:06):
you can pre save the link in the bio. She
looks really good on this this cover. She always looks
really good. Yeah, she actually always does look it. She
looks all shiny and pretty. And in other good news,
Michaeldan after Michael Jordan paid one million dollars to help
save somebody's for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and the

(29:26):
International Association of Chiefs of Police, Kyrie Irving has contributed
forty thousand dollars and that is to help a woman,
Josephine Wright, and her legal defense as she is fighting
to keep her home ninety three years old Hilton Head resident.
She's currently facing a lawsuit that was filed. They're trying
to force her to sell her property so they can
construct a neighborhood complex of one hundred and forty seven

(29:48):
unit neighborhood complex. So he has actually contributed to help
her with that. That's amazing.

Speaker 5 (29:54):
At ninety three years old, she should not have to
worry about where to keep her home.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
I am not.

Speaker 5 (29:59):
Might I add I love for that. Yeah, he does.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
He does things and he doesn't talk about him.

Speaker 5 (30:03):
Yeah, he does stuff on the lot.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
It gets a lot of flack for other situations that
are really high profile, but these philanthropists things that he does.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
For some reason, people don't talk about it as much.

Speaker 6 (30:13):
And FI you see that he gave one point five
to the w NBA Bay players.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Yep, yep, I remember when he did that.

Speaker 5 (30:20):
All right, well does he does get back a lot?

Speaker 4 (30:22):
That is your yet and when we come back. We
have under the radar. These are stories that are not
necessarily in the headlines. They're flying under the radar. It's
way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
News just in the news that relates to you. These
stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
Who what's up?

Speaker 4 (30:38):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. And
Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
Woo woo woo.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
By the way, I also want to point out and
this is something that you and I both care about.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Jasmine.

Speaker 4 (30:49):
Yes it is Amazon Prime Day, good lord, yes it is.
So I just want to make sure. And I know
that's trending and everything, but are you gonna buy some
stuff today?

Speaker 14 (30:58):
Know?

Speaker 6 (30:59):
I am for some baby stuff. So if anyone has
any suggestions, please to your daughter said.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
How you don't know what you're looking for? You just
look and see where they go.

Speaker 5 (31:07):
Because Angela, you like to shop for fun.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
Not anymore like I used to. I buy practical things.

Speaker 5 (31:14):
But you can buy things, Yes, I do it.

Speaker 4 (31:17):
I do like to purchase things, and there's all these
different websites that have like the best lightning deals of
Amazon Prime Day twenty twenty three. So I'm looking at
some of the things, like a vanity mirror.

Speaker 5 (31:28):
And it's two days, it's today, it's tomorrow, right.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
It's two days. You get candles, oh, a crock pot.

Speaker 5 (31:32):
I need to give rain a new stroller, okay, because she's.

Speaker 4 (31:36):
I saw a stroller on there, and I saw a
car seat as well. She's the mac air is two
hundred dollars off for Prime Day.

Speaker 5 (31:42):
How is too young for a MacBook?

Speaker 4 (31:46):
I think it might. Yeah, I don't know if she
needs that, but maybe an iPad kids love tablet.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
I think we got her.

Speaker 3 (31:51):
I think I think I don't think she needs a MacBook.

Speaker 4 (31:53):
Okay, ma'am, that's for you, all right, okay, but yeah,
so just so y'all know, I saw some air pods
on there. Things like that. I lose all the time
Nest gadgets. So whatever you need, if you can get
it today, I always take over your home so I
can just buy lots of things. You've sent this stuff
to the house, Jasmine, Oh please, all right, all right,
you got a lot of stuff there, already got lots

(32:14):
of shoes. I don't want to say what somebody said
about you, but okay, all right. Also, today is seven eleven.
July eleventh is Free Slurpy Day. Oh okay, all right,
So if you want to get a free slippy, all
you gotta do is show up at a participating seven
eleven Stripes or speedway location and ask for a free
small slurpie while supplies last.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Did you ever or do you like slurpees?

Speaker 4 (32:37):
No, I'm not into slurpees. I used to like Coca
Cola slurpees. Yeah, I've never really been into slippies like that.
So if you're a member, though, you could have gotten
them yesterday. If you're a member of the Seven Rewards
or Speedy Rewards loyalty program, you.

Speaker 6 (32:51):
Know, if they've been around for ninety six years, that's crazy.
Seven eleven it did a deeper dive on this paper.
I did a deeper dive, yes, all right.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
And Bank of America is going to pay more than
one hundred million dollars for doubling fees and opening accounts
without customer consents. That's ninety million dollars in penalties to
its organization also sixty million dollars in penalties to the OCC.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau said that on Tuesday, double
dipping on fees that is illegal, so you can't do that.

(33:21):
They would charge customers thirty five dollars after the bank
declined to transaction because of a lack of funds in
the account, and then they would allow those fees to
be repeatedly charged for the same transaction.

Speaker 6 (33:32):
F Y, It's really hard to get out of a
hole once you start getting those overdrafting.

Speaker 8 (33:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:37):
Look, I already didn't have the money, right.

Speaker 5 (33:38):
And now you want to hit the double time and.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
Then now I'm overly overly drafted.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
Yeah, all right, now Hill harper Y Yeah, announced his
US Senate bid in Michigan.

Speaker 3 (33:49):
All right. Here's what he had to say on the
video that he posted.

Speaker 18 (33:52):
Damn Pierce, I'm recording this video for you because I'm
about to make a big announcment and.

Speaker 7 (33:58):
It's going to be tough for us.

Speaker 18 (34:00):
You know, I'm not going to be able to tuck
you in every night or four n time prayers together.
But these are sacrifices so many hardworking families have to
make every single day, fighting for what you believe in
is hard enough, but it's worth doing when you found
something that makes your heart beat faster.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
And for me that's you.

Speaker 5 (34:21):
Oh that's sweet.

Speaker 3 (34:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
Listen, we actually were with Hill Harper in Detroit last
time you were there. He bought the Fisher Mansion in
Boston Edison. That property is amazing, amazing artwork. But he
also went to school with Barack Obama. He has a
picture with him and Barack when they were younger. He does, yeah, yes,
and you know actor, famous actor. I didn't know he
had a recurring role on Mary with Children, but he

(34:43):
was on get on the bus.

Speaker 5 (34:44):
I remember him wrong to get on the bus. He's
a very dope human being by the.

Speaker 4 (34:48):
Way side, New York, and he really does He was
asking us, you know, just different questions. He had a
whole group in there meeting with him, people from Michigan
that he was sitting down talking to.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
But he loves it there. He has a coffee.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
Company there and there's a lot in Michigan.

Speaker 3 (35:03):
Yeah, he actually I think he went to film something
there and just loved it.

Speaker 6 (35:06):
Interesting because he's from you said, Iowa City, Iowa.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
And he has a book that people love the Wealthcare
putting money in its place, all right, So that is
you're under the radar.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Shout out to Hill Harper. I'm sure he'll be up here.

Speaker 4 (35:18):
We got Stephen Jackson joining us today, plus the Way
Up Mix at the top of the hour.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
It's way up with Angela Yee, just like.

Speaker 4 (35:24):
The talk like they Angela Jean, like they Angela Jee.

Speaker 7 (35:28):
Man, she's spilling it all. This is yet way up.

Speaker 4 (35:34):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. Jasmine
from the Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
Yes, Bran, my own brand, and it's time for your
yee t. You know what. Let's start it off with
Zion Williamson.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
Now, he was on Gilbert Arinus's podcast and he was
just talking about fixing some of his wrongs and owning
up to responsibilities.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
Here's what he had to say.

Speaker 19 (35:58):
What I want people to know about me is I
just want to who. I don't want to be on
the sideline. Y'all think I want to sit over there hurt.

Speaker 8 (36:03):
I don't.

Speaker 19 (36:04):
But I said, like Coach k told me on up
to my responsibilities. There are a lot of things that
I could have done better. I didn't and I'm in
the process of fixing those wrongs now.

Speaker 4 (36:15):
Y'a also said that it's been difficult for him to
eat healthy all the time. Right when he was asked
about his diet, he said it's hard. He said, I'm
twenty twenty two, have all the money in the world.
It feels like all the money in the world's hard.
I'm at that pointing out because of certain things, I'm
putting back the wisdom around me. I don't want to say,
oh it because they're defensive, but I'm putting people around
me with wisdom, put me on game to certain things

(36:38):
and just go from there.

Speaker 5 (36:39):
That's fair.

Speaker 6 (36:40):
I can imagine. I can't imagine being twenty two and
having all the money in the world and being able
to you know, you just can't imagine.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
I can't imagine that.

Speaker 4 (36:47):
Yeah, all right, And Travis Scott and Jordan Brand have
launched the Road to Utopia contest.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
All right.

Speaker 4 (36:55):
He's going to be releasing his next album, Utopia, and
his event that he's doing for the launch of that
is in Egypt. Okay, So there's a sweepstakes.

Speaker 8 (37:04):
Now.

Speaker 4 (37:04):
You can go to Road to Utopia sweepstakes dot com
and that's how you can enter for a chance to
experience Jordan Brand's own Travis Scott Experience in Egypt that's
going to take place on July twenty eighth, And they
did say that a lucky group of twenty three pairs
will win that trip to Egypt. It's going to be
a Utopia themed event, round trip airfare tickets and a
two night hotel stay.

Speaker 5 (37:25):
That's dope. That's a dope, a unique destination when we
get to.

Speaker 4 (37:27):
Fly first class. Oh gosh, and I'm just wondering looks free,
Like come on, I know, I'm just curious. Goodness, all right,
but that contest actually did conclude today, So sorry if
you didn't miss out.

Speaker 5 (37:41):
All right, fuss out.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
But his show did sell out in thirty minutes at
Utopia Show, And so as you're waiting for that album
to be released on July twenty eighth and you want
to go to see his show, that show in Egypt
did sell out in under thirty minutes as well, all right.
And offset in they bought their daughter Culture a twenty

(38:03):
five thousand dollars pink Ormes Burken bag Wow for her
fifth birthday.

Speaker 5 (38:08):
Twenty five thousand dollars bag. How old is she?

Speaker 1 (38:10):
I know?

Speaker 4 (38:10):
That's why she just turned five. Wow, she's such a
cute little girl. She's adorable. And her son is adorable too. Yes,
the kids are so cute. All his kids are very
cute too.

Speaker 6 (38:19):
If you were rich, do you think it's just hard
to think? I don't even know what that feels like, Yas.
You need to step it up, Rain, when it's her birthday,
your daughter.

Speaker 5 (38:26):
Her birthday is September.

Speaker 3 (38:28):
September, she'll be two.

Speaker 5 (38:30):
She'll be two.

Speaker 3 (38:30):
She's only gonna be two.

Speaker 5 (38:31):
Yeah, she'll gonna be two.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
Okay, you got some time to get the burke and
money together.

Speaker 6 (38:34):
Oh my god, I cannot imagine. I'm definite gonna get
her some designer things, but not now.

Speaker 5 (38:38):
Well, it's prime day Amazon Prime Designer.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
You want to plan ahead, all right?

Speaker 4 (38:43):
And now let's talk about Larsa Pippin and Marcus Jordan.
They have their episode of Separation Anxiety, their podcast that
just came out. The latest episode and this dealt with
what Marcus Jordan Dad Michael Jordan had to say about
their relationship.

Speaker 3 (39:01):
When he was asked by TMZ if he approved of.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
Marcus's relationship with Larsa, he said no to the paparazzi. Well,
what happened for their relationship after that, Because Larsa Pippin
and Marcus, they previously had said that he approved, I
really liked her. Larsa was told you that here, yeah,
saying that there was no issues and all of that. Well,
here is what Marcus Jordan had to say about the

(39:27):
conversation he had with his father, Michael Jordan about that.

Speaker 12 (39:30):
Obviously, we knew ahead of time because he texted and
called me and wanted to make sure that I didn't
take anything the wrong way. But then when the article
came out, he texted me again and said that he
never said.

Speaker 8 (39:40):
Hell no.

Speaker 12 (39:41):
When I saw it, immediately, I thought, like he's playing,
he's being joking. You know, I didn't put too much
weight into it, but I know that it made you
a little nervous. And so when he texted and called
and obviously wanted to make sure we didn't take things
the wrong way, I think it helped you feel a
little more at ease and you know, comfortable in the
fact that I'm not lying to you about having their approval.

Speaker 4 (40:02):
Okay, all right, Well, Marcus Jordan thought the whole thing
was funny, But Lasta Pippens says it was actually kind
of traumatizing for her.

Speaker 3 (40:08):
Here's what she had to say.

Speaker 20 (40:10):
It went everywhere, and I was kind of like embarrassed.
I think people started to think that online they were
saying that I was lying, that I lied, and said,
you know, our parents are fine, but I do understand
that it's not awkward for us to be together because
it's us, But it's probably just awkward for my ex
and your dad for sure.

Speaker 12 (40:25):
I think for me it was always funny and for
you it was a little nerve wracking at first.

Speaker 20 (40:28):
Oh my gosh, I was like traumatized. I'm like, oh
my god, what are we going to do? And people
think I lied?

Speaker 3 (40:34):
It's fair, yeah, because now it's like I know she
was lying.

Speaker 6 (40:38):
Yeah, you know, I could understanding feeling embarrassed if I
was Larsa.

Speaker 4 (40:41):
All right, well, listen, let's talk about parents' approval because
was that important for you? Always right to know if
your parents liked the person who you're dating. I've definitely
had a situation where they hated my boyfriend.

Speaker 6 (40:53):
Yeah, my mom hated one of my boyfriends in high school.
It mattered so much to me. Then now I do
not care.

Speaker 4 (40:58):
All right, Well, we'll talk about it. It's way up
for the Angela gye. That was your e t keep.

Speaker 7 (41:02):
Back at it. Bring the way up with Angela is
on what up?

Speaker 4 (41:07):
Its way up at Angela. Ye, I'm Angela Yee. Jasmine
from the Jasmine brand dot Com is here. New MANO
is in the building of Stephen Jackson. Stack five is
here with us.

Speaker 8 (41:17):
What's up, y'all? Happy to be here? You know what
that means. He's a new version. Okay, all right, cool.

Speaker 4 (41:22):
We're trying to get him to like stop feeding into
out of trouble, trouble out in the clubs.

Speaker 8 (41:29):
I'm a good example. It's our time to level up, man.

Speaker 4 (41:37):
But you know, you got a lot of jills on
the table, people watching you for different reasons. It is
a different type of responsibility to.

Speaker 8 (41:44):
Reverse the energy.

Speaker 6 (41:45):
Are you surprised that you've been so successful in the
media space, in the you know, commentating space.

Speaker 14 (41:52):
I couldn't have predicted it. You know, I'm thankful for it,
and you know I'm gonna push the gas on it.
You know what I'm saying, I'm not gonna stop. I mean,
being real is coming back and style coming back in style,
and I've always stood on that side.

Speaker 8 (42:03):
One thing about it.

Speaker 14 (42:04):
We were just talking about being people like ice Cube,
like you can say what you want, but you can't
pull no skeletons out our closet or demean our character
away from nothing in the past, because we live our
lives and emotions on our sleeve and it's nothing to hide.

Speaker 8 (42:18):
So that's why you can't demean this, and that's why
they hate me.

Speaker 14 (42:20):
May know, because you can't go in my in my
ten years go and say he was banging this and
not he bank. You can't do none of that. I'm
solid as they come from. You go to my hometown
and I'm solid as they come. So that's why people
hate us, and everybody can't say they stand on that side.

Speaker 4 (42:35):
Well, let's talk about this, because you do have your
own show, you have all the smoke, you have your
own platform. We just saw what happened at ESPN, you know,
with all of the layoffs, and were you super surprised
when that happened or was that something that people in
the industry knew was coming.

Speaker 14 (42:48):
Hey, if you've been in the podcast space, if you've
seen the stuff we've been doing, Gilbert A. Ring and
his knuckleheads, all these basketball players and stuff, like that.

Speaker 8 (42:55):
You knew this was coming.

Speaker 14 (42:56):
We all worked at ESPN, Me and Matt you Niokas
first started to show to Jump with Me and Trace McGrady.

Speaker 8 (43:03):
That show went through the roof, and they didn't want
to pay us.

Speaker 14 (43:06):
So as they wasn't paying the players and the people
that was making the shows hot, everybody started declining the deals.
So they start giving jobs to people who just wanted
to be on TV. Where now everybody's in the podcast space.
This show is more entertaining than anything on ESPN. This show,
it's so many shows from our culture that are more
entertaining than what they're talking about. Perfect example, when Steven
they gets off his show, he goes straight to his

(43:27):
podcast to say things that he couldn't say on his
friend right because this is what's hot right now.

Speaker 8 (43:32):
So they're fine people because nobody's watching.

Speaker 4 (43:34):
We're talking to Steven Jackson and since we're talking about
people in that space, Cameron and mas.

Speaker 8 (43:39):
I love it. I love it.

Speaker 14 (43:40):
I say one thing about me and Matt. We don't
hate on nobody. It's enough space for all of us
to get this money. And I'm happy my brother's in
this space. Two legend rappers. That's in the sports world.
I love it because it's entertainment. It's something new. Like
when me and Matt did all the smoke, we was
the first professional athletes with championships with the experience that
didn't mind smoking for everybody, see right, So we did

(44:01):
something that was different.

Speaker 8 (44:02):
You know what I'm saying. We did that that was different.
What Mason Campus doing is different.

Speaker 4 (44:06):
And speaking of smoking, right, let's discuss the CBA the
new agreement.

Speaker 3 (44:11):
Well, now with marijuana, they should be patting us on
the back.

Speaker 8 (44:13):
They should be thinking us.

Speaker 4 (44:14):
You know, at first it was very you couldn't smoke,
It wasn't allowed.

Speaker 8 (44:18):
Now this you could, you could, We did, Yeah you did. Yeah,
we did our all career.

Speaker 4 (44:22):
You weren't supposed to. Weren't supposed to, right, and it
was illegal. But let's talk about the space that we're
in now. Do you think that even though now it's
allowed and you can promote different brands, do you think
that society still kind of frowns upon it. Do you
think that it's still going to be an issue.

Speaker 14 (44:38):
The only people that probably frowned up on all the
week behinded people. I mean, if you're gonna blame cannabis
on the reason why you can't succeed, or why you
can't get up and go to work, or why you
can't perform, and that's only you don't do it. But
don't be mad at the people that can, that can
use it the right way, not get arrested for it,
and make sure they're using it to make sure they
can perform and still get the job done. So, okay,

(44:59):
let me exlaining to you because people always ask these questions.
So we wake up in the morning, we got practice
like nine to ten. We'll go to practice like nine
to ten. I'll get home like eleven o'clock. I'll eat, smoke, showered,
and go to sleep. So by the time I wake
up like five thirty in the game, I'm not as
high as I was forming to sleep. I'm kind of
even killed when my body just feel calm and relaxed.
You know what I'm saying. I never ride to the
game and I'm fressh out for all.

Speaker 8 (45:20):
And I'm no, it's not like that. You know what
I'm saying. We use it and I ain't gonna lie.
I've been smoked since I was twelve.

Speaker 14 (45:27):
I need it because it keeps me to even kill,
you know, I've been through a lot of stuff in
my life and I needed to so I can survive
and perform. Bro, you know what I'm saying. And it's
been like that a long time. So it's some people
like me and Matt that did it the right way,
didn't abuse it. But then you got people that didn't
come from it. Now all of a sudden, they got
money and they trying all these different drugs. Now they
losing their job and get suspended because they didn't grow.
They trying to be something they not. So that's what

(45:49):
makes it look bad, the people that's doing it for
the wrong reason.

Speaker 8 (45:52):
I'm using it right.

Speaker 4 (45:52):
We're talking to Steven Jackson. Now when you were playing,
did you have good mentors? Because we're thinking about now
we saw John Marine seems to be excited that Derek
Rose is going to be coming to the Grizzlies, right,
and he'll have somebody that can kind of mentor him
that's been in it a lot longer.

Speaker 3 (46:07):
What about you? What was your experience.

Speaker 14 (46:09):
I mean, that's the only reason why I had a
fourteen year career because I had great mentors and great
great vets.

Speaker 8 (46:14):
They don't have that now. They pushed all the older
guys out the league.

Speaker 14 (46:17):
I had guys like Steve Smith, Stephan Marberry, David Robinson,
Tim Knucker. I had older guys, even Steve car I
played with Steve Krust. So it was a lot of
guys that gave me the game, Reggie Miller, guys that
showed me what being a professional was like. When you
come into the game at a young age like I
did at nineteen, it's still a game.

Speaker 8 (46:35):
I don't know. I don't know how to be a professional.

Speaker 5 (46:37):
What's the biggest learning curve when you first get in there?

Speaker 8 (46:39):
How to be a professional professor? Yeah, you got you
gotta You're showing up to work.

Speaker 14 (46:43):
This is not a game. You got to show up
at a certain time. You got to take care of
your buy this. It's a lot of things that go
along with just playing basketball.

Speaker 19 (46:49):
Distinguish the two, yeah, in basketball and being a professional,
and the ones that don't learn that man their career
four or five years.

Speaker 14 (46:56):
But the one that learned how to do both fourteen
years like I did. And I learned that because I
had great mentors and guys like Steve Smith.

Speaker 4 (47:03):
Now when it comes to these players, I'm sure people
come to you as a mentor also like the younger players.
So let's just talk about some advice you would give.
All right, let's just say to Zion Williamson, we've seen
the jama that he's been going through. Although he hasn't
exhibited anything, he's been staying out the way, not responding
and quiet.

Speaker 3 (47:19):
Yeah, he's been quiet about it. Yeah, So that's my.

Speaker 8 (47:23):
Advice, stay out the way.

Speaker 14 (47:25):
A lot of times when even if you know it's true,
the best thing to do is not say nothing because
the end that we all know, people make up say
stuff that ain't true or not. When you stop talking
about it, it's just fade away.

Speaker 4 (47:35):
Okay, let's just say, hypothetically, let's say Skip Bayless wanted
you to be on with him right now that they're
looking for who's going to be on with Skip Bayless?

Speaker 3 (47:42):
Is that something you would consider?

Speaker 12 (47:43):
Nah?

Speaker 14 (47:45):
I know what I do best, since I know what
I'm good at and I know why. But you know
what I'm saying, I know what I do best, and
I belong with Matt. I don't think men Skip, even
though I like Skip, salute Skip, we don't fit together.
I'm not the type of person that just jump on
an opportunity. Because it's an opportunity. I know what I'm good.
I'm gonna put myself in the in the best position
and being up there with Skip. It ain't gonna work

(48:06):
because I ain't as calm as Shannon, right, I ain't
gonna bite my tongue, and it's gonna be some things
that I'm gonna say in the first two episodes, and
I'm gonna offend everybody as finds.

Speaker 8 (48:16):
You see what I'm saying. So I instead of putting
myself in that position, Naw, I'm cool.

Speaker 3 (48:20):
Who would be good?

Speaker 5 (48:21):
Do you think.

Speaker 14 (48:24):
Charles Barker ain't gonna work? Because Charles Walker be flying off.
He gonna say something he gonna be fired in by
two weeks two?

Speaker 8 (48:30):
Who do you think is be good for Skip?

Speaker 6 (48:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (48:33):
I think JJ Riddick would be good. It'll be two
white guys up there, and but JJ sees it from outside.
You know what I'm saying. JJ been at the barbecue
a long time ago. I've learned everything about none I
stop watches from Jay. I know everything about watching this
from JJ. Really, So he's been a part of our
count He's been a solid dude. So I think having
him up there, somebody that looked like them, that's speaking

(48:54):
from outside, that's speaking the real. I think that'll be
a great show because now like Shannon just defending us,
it's somebody that's really speaking the real to understand that that.

Speaker 8 (49:00):
Looked like him.

Speaker 4 (49:01):
All right, it is way up with Angela Yee and
Steven Jackson is joining us. And when I say us,
I mean all of us meet Mayno Jasmine Brand. We
got more with him when we come back. It's way up.

Speaker 7 (49:13):
You, way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (49:16):
What's app this way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee.

Speaker 4 (49:18):
Mano is here, Jazz and from the Jasmine Brand is here,
and we're talking to Steven Jackson. All right, let's get
into some Big three talk now, because I know that's
what we're here for. Also for you, and I know
your team did win right back to back trilogy. Yeah,
so how are y'all doing? I see this season is,
like you said, a little rocky.

Speaker 1 (49:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (49:35):
I mean for my guys, they got they kind of
got uninterested. We won the last two year championship and
it's been easy competition.

Speaker 8 (49:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (49:42):
I mean, you know, you know we got off to
a rocky start. But I think this was what we
needed to turn it around. You know, we're gonna turn
it around and get to the playoffs and win this
thing again. But we shout out to Cuban Jeff.

Speaker 8 (49:51):
I think for me. Cube always say that I'm the
reason the league is what it is, and I'm honest.

Speaker 14 (49:56):
I take that with pride, because he's somebody I listened
to growing up on the block and somebody that we
all admire, doing things the right way and standing on
what he's staying on the first first black owned professional
league in history, and I'm happy to be a part
of that. I want to see my brother win. I'll
tell you all quick story. When he first started the league.
We was in Vegas.

Speaker 8 (50:16):
He brought everybody down that may know, just to have
the NBA guys there to play some three on three
to see what it was gonna be like.

Speaker 14 (50:21):
Half of them was out of shape, none of them
don't work out. So I only played one way Mayo
one hundred percent. So I have been doing two days, right,
you know what I'm saying. I'm in NBA shape, right.
So I went there and you know, I'm talking crab cursing,
you know, I'm all and he's sitting there smiling because
everybody's seeing my energy. So this is what the league
is supposed to be like, because nobody knew how it

(50:43):
was gonna look. But I led the charge and brought
thand not our handsOn talking trash, Nacatino talking trash. So
now we have a blueprint of what the league is
supposed to look like, and that's why it's been successful.
But the fact that he had the idea, he's not
just giving basketball players opportunity to play basketball again, he's saving.

Speaker 8 (51:00):
A lot of players live.

Speaker 14 (51:01):
Yeah, that one hundred thousand they making in these ten
weeks are just doing. It's saving a lot of players
that fell on hard times or that career ended because
of injury a chance to make good money right here
in the United States and take care of their families.

Speaker 8 (51:13):
And a lot of people not looking at it like that.

Speaker 3 (51:15):
It's a good time.

Speaker 4 (51:16):
So I went to the first ever game that they
did in Brooklyn at the Barclays, and I was like,
because you know, it's the first one, so everybody's not
quite sure what to expect, and I've been watching it
evolve over the years. What is it the six year
six six years?

Speaker 14 (51:30):
Now, I don't mean to cut you off. But I
got the funnies. Funny you say that that you was
at the game. So I got a homeboy that was
at the game right and you sat by it. He
swear you was looking at him.

Speaker 3 (51:41):
She was.

Speaker 7 (51:42):
That's why.

Speaker 8 (51:43):
That's why I said that he was looking my home boy.
Mike's got I hope you listened.

Speaker 5 (51:50):
Looking at he said.

Speaker 8 (51:51):
She said, Man, I'm telling you she was looking at
I said, bro, come on out now, she's just sitting
next to looking Mike Scott. Were gonna cry.

Speaker 11 (52:00):
She did.

Speaker 5 (52:04):
Whatever he say.

Speaker 8 (52:07):
Saying that because he said that he was looking at him, like, yeah,
whoopy Goldbert. Everybody was at that game. That was a
big game, all right.

Speaker 1 (52:15):
Now.

Speaker 3 (52:15):
I also want to talk about this new NBA in
season tournament.

Speaker 8 (52:18):
I need to whack whack, whack whack.

Speaker 14 (52:24):
You don't play two three games in the regular season,
then play a tournament mid season that has nothing to
do with the outcome of the final season.

Speaker 8 (52:31):
It makes no sense.

Speaker 3 (52:32):
Yeah, I was confused about the I guess it's for
more money too.

Speaker 14 (52:36):
It's for their benefit. It has nothing to do with
the players. They might make more money off of it.
They get they get a they get a winning it
like each players get a certain amount for winning the tournament.
But tell me this, who needs that money. I guarantee
a lot of those guys would rather have the regular
season play their games because a lot of these guys

(52:57):
played the first half of the season just to make
the All Star Game. Because a lot of those big players,
they get big bond, They get a million dollar bonus
just for making an Allstar Game. That's the incent they
having their contract. So they played the first half just
to make the All Star Game. Second half they kind
of cruise because they want to go in the playoffs healthy.

Speaker 8 (53:14):
This tournament is trash. It's this trash.

Speaker 14 (53:16):
It don't make no sense because really nobody benefiting from it.
But the NBA, what they already doing is lower management,
missing games. Fans already mad because guy's not playing. So
you put an nd season tournament, Guys really gonna be
sitting out the meaningful games because okay, I played in
this tournament. Now when it's the game at the end
of the season where we need games to win to
get the league.

Speaker 4 (53:34):
The rest, I'm sure what happens if you sit out
the nd season tournament, then you.

Speaker 14 (53:38):
Think they're gonna let that happen that that end season
touram is gonna be all over TV marketing everywhere. If
those big players don't play, they just put a rule in, well,
if you don't play a certain amount of games, you
can't make the if you can't win the MVP of
something or all, Yeah, you can't be as for a
war if you don't play a certain amount of games.
And that because guy's been sitting out getting these big
contracts and not playing, you know what I'm saying. That

(54:00):
come from too what we talked about earlier, not having
no ogs in the game right, And that's when that's
why John happy that Marcus Smart and Rose is coming
because he have some guys that that can kind of
give him some game that's been there, you know what
I'm saying that can kind of bring him along.

Speaker 8 (54:12):
No teams have that no more. That's why he's seeing
a lot of that stuff going, what do they get
green and all that?

Speaker 1 (54:16):
What was that?

Speaker 8 (54:18):
What was that?

Speaker 14 (54:19):
I've been in many basketball camps in my life, many
of them with all my brothers I grew up.

Speaker 8 (54:24):
With, humping each other. Was never an option.

Speaker 14 (54:28):
Showing my potner what I'm working with was never an
option out showing my potter of my Heill thrust is
not an option after basketball practice. I'm just saying, I'm
just saying, like, yeah, it's a different time.

Speaker 3 (54:42):
It's a different time, all right.

Speaker 4 (54:43):
Normally ask you would be up next, but we are
having such a good time talking to Stephen Jackson that
we have more with him when we come back.

Speaker 3 (54:48):
It's way up with Angela y.

Speaker 7 (54:53):
Yeah, she back at it. Way up with Angela is on.

Speaker 3 (54:58):
What's up with Angela?

Speaker 14 (55:00):
Ye?

Speaker 3 (55:00):
I'm Angela yee and Mana was here.

Speaker 4 (55:02):
Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here because we have
a special guest with us, Stephen Jackson.

Speaker 3 (55:07):
All right, No, one other thing I want to talk
about Damian Lillard.

Speaker 4 (55:10):
He said that if he got traded to a team
that isn't the Heat, that he just wouldn't report.

Speaker 3 (55:15):
What do you think about that.

Speaker 8 (55:16):
I've done that and I'm not Daman Lillard.

Speaker 14 (55:17):
Damn Millard is a goat top seventy five all the time,
one of the best players ever. I'm nowhere close to
this level player, never was an All Star. But I
could say this. I got traded to Milwaukee and I
didn't want to be there. I didn't go to a
game Brandon James Hay. I was putting out a mixtape
at the time, so I was doing shows. I was
traveling with the team doing show.

Speaker 8 (55:37):
I wasn't going to the game.

Speaker 14 (55:38):
I was doing shows, picking up you know what I'm saying,
my mixtape the whole time until they traded me to
San Antonio.

Speaker 8 (55:44):
So I did and he can do it. This Damon Lillar,
so he really can do it. If I did it,
he Damn scho could do it.

Speaker 3 (55:48):
Now, how was that mixtape money at the time?

Speaker 14 (55:52):
So I know, I'm gonna be honest with you. At
the time, I wasn't making no money off Yeah, but
I love the love, but I.

Speaker 8 (56:00):
Can't say this.

Speaker 14 (56:01):
I dropped the project after George Floyd called Good Trouble
and it is platinum, so Shack was the only one
with a platinum. Check it out, So I got I
got one, even though I was spent millions of dollars
on wasting home much money. Didn't do one show, you
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 8 (56:16):
But hey, it was fun. A lot of guys won't
say that. They won't say they just blew money. Was
having fun with it. They really thought they was nice,
especially athletes.

Speaker 3 (56:25):
Who is the best athlete, who is the best NBA player.

Speaker 8 (56:28):
I mean, I feel like I can. I can wrap
the best of all of them.

Speaker 14 (56:31):
But the ones that is, it's only three pool that
I would say before I would say four, I would
say Shack, I would say Damian Lillard, I would say
Lou Williams, and I would say Marquise Daniels.

Speaker 8 (56:44):
They have multiple mixtapes and multiple.

Speaker 14 (56:47):
For a while.

Speaker 8 (56:48):
Those guys that I know, Aaron Davis, they really do it.
Bed do it too. I just told me about two
few weeks ago, walking though.

Speaker 14 (56:59):
He has the most this music of anybody that's wrapped
in life. I've been telling him to drop music forever,
but he got but yes, he could just don't put.

Speaker 8 (57:08):
His music out.

Speaker 4 (57:09):
We're talking to Steven Jackson, So what are some more
things that you want to do? Right, because you're obviously
extremely busy with everything you have going on now, but
it feels like you're still adding things and there's still
goals and aspirations.

Speaker 14 (57:21):
Well, I mean, I've started acting, so I've been doing
a lot of acting. That's what I really want to do,
besides the show, besides the boxing. I mean, that's really
all I want to do. You know. I mean, any
opportunity that comes up, of course, I'm gonna take advantage
of it. Will Smith Company Westbrook's shooting the documentary in
My Life that's still called the Second Half.

Speaker 3 (57:37):
You know that's amazing.

Speaker 8 (57:38):
Yeah, so I'm definitely blessed man.

Speaker 14 (57:40):
So I'm just trying to stay in my pocket, stay
out the way, you know what, and what come what
I need is gonna hit me right in the face.

Speaker 8 (57:45):
I ain't looking for a nothing instruct What kind of.

Speaker 5 (57:47):
Acting are you thinking about? What kind of roles would
you like?

Speaker 14 (57:49):
It has to be in my don't ask me to
put on no dress asks Let.

Speaker 8 (57:56):
Me go and get that out of that though. Don't
ask me to do nothing that you don't see me doing.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
What about could you be a police officer?

Speaker 8 (58:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (58:03):
What about comedy?

Speaker 3 (58:04):
We don't see you doing that?

Speaker 8 (58:05):
What about comedy? Yes, because you know I'm a goofball
of course, definitely. Yeah. I can do commed I can
do all that. I'm just saying, don't put me in something.

Speaker 3 (58:11):
Where What about romance? Would you do a sex scene?

Speaker 8 (58:13):
I can't wait.

Speaker 14 (58:17):
No, I'm not. I'm not a thruster. I'm not you
know what I'm saying. Yeah, put me on camera. Usc,
I can't wait, I can't wait. I can't wait.

Speaker 4 (58:28):
Now, I want to ask you one more thing to
Dennis Rodman. We recently so he got a face tattoo
of his girlfriend on his face. Huge, Did you see that?

Speaker 8 (58:35):
Yeah, she's from my hometown.

Speaker 3 (58:36):
Oh yellow yellow, she's off the Texas. Okay, so you
know her.

Speaker 8 (58:39):
I don't know, but she's from my hometown. She's way
younger than me.

Speaker 3 (58:41):
All right, do you have any tattoos of women on
your body?

Speaker 8 (58:44):
I got a couple of names, names used covered some
stuff you can say.

Speaker 14 (58:50):
Yeah, yeah, I'm really walked up like I'm telling that's right.

Speaker 8 (58:55):
That's what it is. You cover you keep it moving. Hey,
this is what it is. You cover him, keeping the
mo she got covered, That's what it is.

Speaker 3 (59:05):
Due does a woman? Did they ask you to do it?
Are you taking upon yourself like I feel like getting
her tattooed on me?

Speaker 8 (59:11):
Yeah? I mean yeah, it has to be Men't no
woman tell me.

Speaker 11 (59:15):

Speaker 3 (59:15):

now you know, it was Coach's birthday yesterday.

Speaker 4 (01:01:03):
They bought her that twenty five thousand dollar pink taking
so rich, so rich. But I think there's some things
happening this week, and so Offset did stop by, okay,
and we had a nice sit down.

Speaker 5 (01:01:16):
Oh actually, Angela, this is major. I'd like to say,
is it it's major?

Speaker 8 (01:01:20):
Right?

Speaker 5 (01:01:20):
Yep, it's major.

Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:01:21):
So shout out to Offset for coming through here. And
I know this is also something that he ran past
Carti to make sure absolutely it was an agreement, and
so she agreed for him to be able to do
this interview.

Speaker 3 (01:01:33):
Because so thank you car Yeah, thank you Cardi, thanks Bartie.

Speaker 4 (01:01:37):
And so I appreciate it, the fact that he'll trust
me enough to be sensitive to certain subjects. Yeah, but
also have a little fun okay, because he definitely came
in here and was like, we need a little bit
of a lift service vibe too fun. So I think
it's going to be a good, interesting conversation. You want
a little teaser because I know you didn't get.

Speaker 5 (01:01:58):
To Yeah, I missed may I have a little snippet
and I got.

Speaker 4 (01:02:02):
To hear some of his new album too. By the way,
I just want to put that Oh my gosh, I'm
so jealous, and one song in particular, y'all are going
to love all right, but here's a little tiny snippet
for what's gonna happen tomorrow.

Speaker 8 (01:02:15):
Hey, man, watch yourself, brothers, that's my wife, brou I
ain't playing with y'all at all, right, dead seriously, I'm
not playing risky and everything.

Speaker 4 (01:02:24):
The other thing is sometimes people do that because if
they have it, they want to be able to say, oh,
I did this playing game.

Speaker 8 (01:02:31):
Yeah, and it's like, you're not gonna play with my wife.

Speaker 3 (01:02:34):
Oh, it's a warning.

Speaker 5 (01:02:35):
Okay. He sounds like he's dead serious.

Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
He was very dead serious. But there were some left.

Speaker 4 (01:02:42):
There were some fun, some really great moments and really
honest moments, and some things you've never heard before. So okay,
that'll be really good Tomorrow offset on Way Up with Angelie.
We're gonna do something special too, because it's going to
be a part one and part two tomorrow during the show,
which we never do.

Speaker 5 (01:02:57):
Can we drink during the episode? Okay?

Speaker 4 (01:03:00):
All right, we actually did. But you guys get to
have the last word. Eight hundred nine last word.

Speaker 11 (01:03:07):
Yeah, you definitely need to date when you're broke.

Speaker 1 (01:03:10):
You gotta build generational pay well, you gotta find out
who's gonna feel what you That's it.

Speaker 18 (01:03:16):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (01:03:17):
I was calling to give my opinion about being broken
dating personally. I don't think you should really be doing
it because if you're broke and it's hard enough for
you to support yourself and staying on your own cucat,
why are you trying to focus on me? Why are
you trying to focus on taking me out and doing
all these things? And you need to focus on, you know,

(01:03:38):
getting everything that you have going on together, because your
broke doesn't mean that you're not worthy of so so
if you down and out, that doesn't mean that you're
not worthy of having somebody who you know loves you
and cares about you. However, I don't think that dating
should be your main coaching at all. All right by,
I love.

Speaker 11 (01:03:55):
You, Angela. I hear the young lady saying you can't
date if you broke of just what Men that work
take care of broke women all the time, but some
women won't take the chance one that broke.

Speaker 14 (01:04:10):
Men.

Speaker 11 (01:04:10):
Well, overall, I think that is okay to date broke
if she broke, you broke. Now y'all could come up together.

Speaker 13 (01:04:20):
Hi, Angela, I'm calling from Las Vegas, Nevada. I just
wanted to tell you that I just love your show.
I love Mano, I just love how honest he is
about everything. And Jasmine. The three of you are fantastic.

Speaker 7 (01:04:38):
Have a great day going way out with
