and he has his phone in Drake's face too. Oh
my gosh, Dan, And you know who was capturing this
his lady. I wonder if she taught you something. If
my man is at a concert and we also work
in this business, okay, If my man is at a
concert and Drake walks past and he starts doing that,

(01:39):
he got his phone and his army first. I don't
even know how he managed to do both of those
things simultaneously, and I have to capture that. Oh my god,
would you be embarrassed to be with his lady? I
think I I think i'd be I'd be like yo.
But she's proud, so that's good. Shout out to Rita.
She deals with a lot.

Speaker 4 (01:54):

the time, but I don't know why. I'm so surprised
that Dan.

No, I mean, did he posted?

Speaker 6 (02:08):
Honestly, that's the first time I've ever been like that.

Are you a big Drake fan?

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Yeah?

I am.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
I wouldn't say.

Speaker 6 (02:16):
I wouldn't say I'm the biggest No, and I love Kendrick.

so to set the scene, it was I was on
the aisle and you know how he walks through the
crowd to come to the state.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
It's really why does that?

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Go ahead? Go ahead, Dan, talk about it.

Speaker 3 (02:34):

And we got a shine of light. Okay, all right,
So Jasmine, is there anybody you want to shine a
light on before we get it started? No, I think
I'm okay to accept me somebody I don't know you
want to.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
First of all, we have a whole break. You don't say,
jazz Mo, are you none of that? You just put
me on the spot.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
You had somebody that you would like shine a light?
Hold on, let me pull it up. I had a
few people, Okay. So Jasmine sent this shina light yesterday.
And this is good because shining light is not just
for people you know, but it's also for people that
you might have seen a really positive story. Is something
great that they're doing and you want to shine a
light on. Debbie Dyson, she's the CEO that creates job
opportunities for black people without four year college degrees. Yes,

(04:09):
so one ten it's the company and the goal is
to find one million jobs for black people seeking employment
without a four year bachelor's degree. And Debbie Dyson will
head that initiative for this organization. It's a nonprofit to
help find sustainable employment opportunities. So shout out to Debbie Dyson.

a new story about and say what they did is amazing.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
She's really making a difference.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
All right. Well, who do you want to shine a
light on? Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty Kimmy,
what's up?

Speaker 5 (04:49):
Good morning?

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Good morning? Who do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 5 (04:54):
I actually just want to shine a light on everybody
who are not only you know, battling struggles that you
know they don't speak on. I know how tough that
can be on you know, someone's mental health. So I
just want to, you know, speak in general and let
everybody know that you know, this is not your story,
this is just a chapter, and you will be improved.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Ooh did you go through something too that is making
you feel like I did?

Speaker 5 (05:18):
I did.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
I just recently lost my brother a couple of months ago.
My grandfather has stage were candy, so I'm just going
through a line and I just like to, you know,
speak positive things into the universe and just tell people
some things that I feel like I may need to
hear something.

Speaker 8 (05:34):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
I love that, and that makes I think that helps
so much the energy you're putting out for everybody else.
So I appreciate you absolutely, no problem.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
And I love y'all by the way, I really do.

Speaker 9 (05:43):
I wouldn't be.

Speaker 10 (05:44):
Out every day.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
You too so much, and we're keeping you in our prayers.

Speaker 11 (05:49):
Thank you, y'all.

Speaker 5 (05:50):
Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
You too. Hey, Jamie, who do you want to shine
a light on? Who? Justice?

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Her daughter?

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Okay, yeah, talk about her.

Speaker 8 (06:01):
My father died with COVID and twenty twenty whenever she's
been born a give back. She did a scholarship at
the school last year.

Speaker 9 (06:10):
And the year before this year, and she just graduated
from school in twenty twenty.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
You e raised her right.

Speaker 8 (06:20):
Year, nineteen years old. And she did a gilt back
this year, a fool give back. She went out to
the community and gave that book bags, paper primbles and
stuff with little bags to some other communities in Americas.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
That's amazing. I love that.

Speaker 8 (06:37):
Yeah, all right, and she took her own ninety that
she worked for. Indeed, it on her own.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Oh my gods.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
She needs to start something so that people can actually
help donate, so she didn't have to use her own money.

Speaker 12 (06:48):
Right.

Speaker 8 (06:48):
Well, that's I've been trying to tell her that that
she had to do it on her own, even with
the scholarship. She saved up her money and she did
a scholarship.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
All right. Oh well, thank you so much for calling.

Speaker 8 (07:01):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
All right? Well that was Shina light. Eight hundred nine
fifty one fifty is a number in case you couldn't
get through. You can still leave a message for last
word and shine a light on someone. And when we
come back, we have yet and another sad breakup and
divorce will tell you about Miss Tina Lawson has filed
for divorce. It's way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
She's about to blow the lead about this fot. Let's
get it. Oh yeah, angelus billing at yee te Come
and get the tea.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
It's way up with Angela.

Speaker 7 (07:28):
Ye.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
I'm Angela Yee. Jasmine brand is here, yes, good morning,
right in her wheelhouse with the yet all right, well,
Beyonce's mom Tina Knowles has filed for divorce from Richard
Lawson Man that's her second husband, and according to court
documents that page six actually got, they are terminating their

(07:49):
eight year marriage. He has officially filed on Wednesday, yesterday,
now according to reps. Of course, they have not immediately
responded to give any type of comment, but people were
noticing that she changed her name from Tina Lawson back
to Tina Knowles on her Instagram bio. On top of that,
they hadn't posted pictures of each other since March, and

(08:12):
they had known each other for a long time decades.
They didn't start dating until twenty thirteen, and so I
guess I don't know what happened. But one thing you
noticed was people were talking about his likes.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
If you looked at his Twitter page, on his likes,
he was liking lots of porn, which is he he's
allowed to, but it was like really weird, like lots
of like graphic porn.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
And everyone noticed it. Everyone, But it was like all
of a sudden. Yeah, it was like the last like
three months or maybe he was hacked. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
But now this morning, first of all, I said something
to you about it. Last night. This morning, his page
was disabled, so I don't know.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Maybe he didn't know that. Maybe he looked at it
and didn't know that people could see who he liked.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Yeah, well, listen, it's a free country. You could look
and like it whatever you want to. But I will
say people fans started noticing, like a few weeks ago
that something was awry. We started hearing reports that they
weren't together, and I noticed they weren't at Magic Johnson's
annual kind of vacation for a Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Yeah, so all right, Well, other rumors had been spoiling
about Cardi being offset, but it looks like they're they're
good and together.

Speaker 6 (09:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Of course, they celebrated their daughter's birthday. And now they
have a song coming out together tomorrow and it's called Jealousy.
By the way, we've heard it. I just want to
throw that out there. A set did play it. It's amazing.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
You let me listen to it and it Cardi b
slid on that for sure, girl did she? Yeah, so
shout out to them.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
So one's that coming out tomorrow? Okay, perfect, all right?

Speaker 3 (09:39):
And she was actually going back and forth with the trolling,
So I don't know why she does that.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Though she go she falls back sometimes and reverts to
her old self.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
Yeah, she can't help it.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
Is this a reimagination of something baby boy or something?
This photo?

Speaker 3 (09:53):
The photo?

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Yeah, what is this supposed to be?

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Oh? I don't know, is it?

Speaker 4 (09:56):
It looks like it's like some throwpack or something.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Yeah, we just saw a pictures, so they haven't put
out more than that.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Okay, I'm sure we'll understand.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
Yes, I'm sure we'll see. Some people were trying to
say that their problems were all promo for the single,
But she didn't start the problems. It was, you know,
somebody on the blogs trying to say something, right, all right,
Travis Scott. Unfortunately for him, his show is canceled for Egypt. Okay,

(10:23):
all right, it's officially canceled. I know they were trying
to make it happen. They were trying to make it work.
At first it was a rumor, but they did post.
We regret to inform you that the Utopia show, originally
scheduled for July twenty eighth, is canceled. Unfortunately, despite highest efforts,
complex production issues meant that the show could not be
constructed at the Desert. We understand that this news is
disappointing and not the outcome any of us desired Live

(10:46):
Nation Short fans that they would be receiving refunds for
any tickets that they had purchased, and they also apologized
for any inconvenience.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
Can I just say, I'm surprised they didn't iron the
king style before making this announcement of this actual show.
You know, it's a little surprising.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
You know, But I don't know if they originally got
some type of confirmation, but they probably didn't realize how
complicated that it would be too. But you're right, Yeah,
I'm kind of surprised by now. There is one story,
and we don't know that this is true or not.
I kind of don't believe it. But this TikToker allegedly
sold his house to pay for the trip to go
to Egypt for Travis's Utopia concert, and then the concert

(11:24):
got canceled. He posted I actually did it, and then
there's a sign of him in front of his house
saying for sales, and then it's sold.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
I don't know if I believe that.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
I don't believe it either, Like if you sold your
house to go to a concert, that's like something I produced.
Dan would do to see Drake well, and Dan also
loves Travis Scott too, though he might sell his house.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
Yeah, okay, don't do that.

Speaker 6 (11:44):
Dan own a house.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
Okay, well, well fortunately he doesn't own a house. I
don't like Dan being able to respond. Yeah, he just
turned the mic on because if he did. Listen, baby homeless, unhoused.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Oh yeah, sorry, unhoused.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
All right, Well that is here, and when we come back,
we have about last night, and some people in this
room had a time last night. All right, it's the
way up for Angela yee about last night. When we
come back, that's what we talked about the things that
we did last night. I know we worked all night,
we did, and then came home and had some wingstop.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
Yeah, we ate.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
All right. It's way up at Angela gee about last night.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Next yeah, last night, So about last night last night,
last night I went down.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
It's way up at Angela yee. I'm Angela Yee. Jasmine
from the Jazzmon.

Speaker 4 (12:32):

Speaker 4 (12:37):
Always working, lip Service two episodes.

Speaker 3 (12:40):

big bots. Veton I love her is on the show
She's So Pretty too, Yes, and four from Black in Chicago, Spicy, y'all.
Go look at his timeline on Twitter. Don't suggest we
were talking about Twitter timeline.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Do not suggest that.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
Man. Listen, if you could see some of this stuff
I got to show you guys in the room. Just
look at his timeline on Twitter. It's very very like explicit. Yeah,
it's explicit. Don't do it at work with people looking
over your shoulders.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
To do it in private if you're into that kind
of thing.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
Okay, but that's what we did last night. And I
told you guys last week Friday, I did go see
Drake perform at the Barclays ok twenty one Savage, good times. Yeah,
you know, And what's really exciting about the show for
people is that he does walk through the audience, you know,
a couple of times, so you get to if you're
you're a seated in the right place, he is going

(13:34):
to walk right past you and you see a sea
of people just you know, and reach out for him,
reaching out for now. A lot of people up here
at our radio station at iHeart did end up going
to the concert last night. It was at Madison Square Garden,
that's major, Yes, in New York. So first he did
Brooklyn and the Barclays and then now he's doing his
Madison Square Garden shows. So in the studio with us

(13:58):
for about last night, for the first I ever, we're
going to talk to both of the guys who work
up here behind the scenes.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
Navy are you're breaking the fourth wall right now? Yeah,
we're breaking the fourth wall?

Speaker 3 (14:09):
You're all right? And also Dan our producer. All right,
so guys, tell us about the concert from last night
and your seats and if you had a chance to
touch Drake you want.

Speaker 6 (14:21):
To go with me, go go for it?

Speaker 7 (14:22):
All right?

Speaker 13 (14:22):
So pretty much me and are one of our producers Eli.
He's a huge Drake thing and did the Way up logo. Yes,
he did the way He even dressed as Drake as
the performance.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
And his name is Ovo Eli on social media. That's
how much he a little weird.

Speaker 13 (14:38):
So me and him have tickets and we're on the
line to get drinks. But as you get drinks, security
closes off our section. Section want to wait, and we're
just like, what's happening. He's like, oh, he's walking out here,
and security said it's so loud that crowds of people
just came and now we can't go back to our seats.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
So did you miss Drake?

Speaker 3 (14:55):
No? No, no, no, okay, get to that part.

Speaker 12 (14:57):
I cut through another side.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
I saw that on the side, cut through the crowd.
I'm stuck. But Eli, somehow's out of seat and right
in front of us is.

Speaker 13 (15:05):
Dam And as Drake is coming out on the on Thel.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Was crime location and you were with your girlfriend. She
lets you have that, She let me have the eye,
and she was like that way you can touch Drake.
Basically good girlfriend, all right, so go ahead?

Speaker 13 (15:21):
Oh no, I just and as Drake is coming down,
you see Eli and Dan just reaching out to Drake
like it was gosh.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
I was Drake, Phil.

Speaker 6 (15:32):
It was that. So it was more like it was
a pound he gave you.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Drake gave him a pound.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
And then what happened afterwards? What was your final reaction?

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Happy?

Speaker 6 (15:45):
I mean, how do you describe it? It's a visual thing.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Let's go, let's go.

Speaker 4 (15:50):
Did you wash your hand? The uh that you He's
never going to wash his hands again?

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Your hand?

Speaker 6 (15:55):
You let twice since this has happened.

Speaker 5 (15:59):
Just once.

Speaker 6 (15:59):
When I got home combination in the morning, I needed
that shower to get it. I was okay, disclaimer, I
was like, I was really drunk. I was excited.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
I was if you were sober, you would have done that.

Speaker 6 (16:09):
I would have reached out, but I would not have
reacted that way.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
And Dan is around a lot of celebrities.

Speaker 6 (16:14):
All the time, and I'm honestly unfazed, always keeping a professional.
But also I don't know, I guess because it's like
it wasn't in a like a concerts.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
You were feeling the energy of everybody excited, you were there,
the girls just reaching out. So you touched Drake, I
did you down and touch so? Do you feel different?

Speaker 6 (16:38):
I don't know if I will ever be the same.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Nothing was the same. Nothing was the same. Okay, that's nice,
And shout out to your girlfriend for actually saying, you
know what, you take the house seat. You touched Drake.

Speaker 6 (16:51):
And she got me the tickets and she got you.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
To Wow, she's a keeper for sure.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
Absolutely. All right, Well again, is there anybody, Jasmine that
you've ever gotten so excited and fanned out over? Just
like Dan and Eli and everybody all the guys up here.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
I met Joan Rivers. I was super excited. I didn't
fan out like a Dan, but I did interview her,
so that was that was really exciting for me.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
All Right, well, let's talk to you guys and I'll
tell you my experiences. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty
one fifty is the number. Who have you ever just
went crazy, fanned out over, maybe even embarrassed yourself. We
want to hear those stories. Eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty. It's way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. And
Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand is here. Yes, Happy Friday Eve,
Angela indeed today and so exciting. You know, normally we
do about last night about what we did, but what
the guys up here did was way more exciting. They
went to go.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
See Drake, way more exciting.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Yeah, I mean, we had fun, but we were working,
we were and they went to go see Drake and
our very own producer Dan. Yes, if you look at
my story as I posted him, yeah, of course I did.
I posted Dan reaching out to touch a Drake and
he was so excited after where he did a dance
after Yeah.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
I've never oh, okay, yeah, so if we go to
your page also way up, she posted too.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
Yeah absolutely and oh vo Eli that's his Instagram name.
He works here. He also has video footage of himself
touching Drake too yeah, and it looked like the two
of them had a scuffle of who was going to
touch Drake first.

Speaker 6 (18:29):
From what I saw, his seats were higher up.

Speaker 12 (18:31):
Okay, shots fired.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
He works it too. Y'all all went to the Drake
Show last night. Amazing Navy went, but we want to
hear about you guys and your fan out experiences. I've
always only found out for people that my parents would
be really excited to meet, right, So when I met
Patty LaBelle, that was a huge deal. Stephanie Mills was excited.
Smokey Robinson I remember a long time ago at my

(18:57):
last job, he was in the hallway and I was like,
oh my god, It'smokey Robinson. Like those are legendre Yeah,
legendary situation. I met Prince one time that I was
so excited I couldn't breathe. I was like, oh, I'm
not gonna even say anything. I was like, Hi, how
you doing it?

Speaker 4 (19:10):
You love Prince.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
I let Prince is my favorite artist of all time.

Speaker 8 (19:29):
I'm not gonna lie when Oh I'm from you.

Speaker 9 (19:32):
I met you like three or four cars.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
You came to private label?

Speaker 9 (19:35):
Oh yeah, yeah, I came to private label. I came
to the car show with envy. I met you like
so many times. But I'd be so nervous.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
Why doesn't she make you nervous?

Speaker 3 (19:46):
It's sweet because I'm an entrepreneur, I'm an artist.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
And all that type of stuff.

Speaker 9 (19:53):
I wrote an opportunity like that so to grow myself
and to grow people around me. And I just always
to get what to say because I know that it
could be a life change of experience.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
And I just, oh wow, that is really sweet. Thank you.
I wasn't expecting that. Yes, well, next next week, checking
up on the building too. I remember her too, all right,
Thank you?

Speaker 9 (20:17):
Bye, don't forget you love y'all have a great day.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
You too, Go in the cage, right now in Hi.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
No, yeah, yelling at my dog.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
That's gotta be a dog. You're yelling at to getting
the cage.

Speaker 6 (20:41):
I'm sorry, it.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Up so fast, so fast?

Speaker 7 (20:48):
All right, how are you? Good morning?

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Good morning?

Speaker 3 (20:51):
And who have you ever fanned out over?

Speaker 7 (20:54):
Marshall Mathers. Actually I live right next door to his
ex wife's Kim and uncle.

Speaker 14 (21:01):
Okay, and yeah, so I was actually playing with Laimeey
and Haley did not know growing up in Center Line.
I lived in the Center Line closed to like eight
Mile and Van Dyke where he grew up at on
the trailer parks and stuff. So we didn't know when
we moved there that he was related to.

Speaker 7 (21:19):
The people next door. But one day he came, I
guess to talk to them or whatever, and my mom
and my sister seeing him and when crazy. And then
maybe a couple of weeks later I actually seen him myself.

Speaker 14 (21:30):
He was going in there, and every time he came by,
they would like close the windows and.

Speaker 7 (21:34):
Stuff and be very discreet. But yeah, I actually grew
up right next door and played with Haley and Laimeey
and never know.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
Wow, did you have a chance to say high or anything?

Speaker 6 (21:42):
Ever?

Speaker 14 (21:43):
Yes, And he gave me this blank ass stare.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Too many people get he wait, okay, he wait, but
look not too many people get a glimpse of Marshall.
Mathis like that in real life. So that's dope.

Speaker 7 (21:58):
But if you are real Detroit, do you know I'm
not line where people say that.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
All right, be nice to your dog.

Speaker 7 (22:04):
Okay, everybody? All right? Thank you?

Speaker 3 (22:07):
Alice? How are you?

Speaker 10 (22:08):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (22:09):
So we're talking about somebody we fanned out over? Who
have you ever fanned out over?

Speaker 10 (22:14):
Fanned out over? Boyd Mayweather? In the club, me and
my friend Land. He would open up the rope and say,
come on, pretty ladies, party with me. He was dating
Miss Jackson at the time, because she was saying next time, Okay,
I'm excited. I'm like, let me see those kids do
not dudes out way? And I touched your hands and
he showed he did a post for us, who took
a picture, and he was like, get in my dreeking.

(22:34):
He walked away, and my friend says, oh my god,
I cannot believe we're partying with Floyd may Feather. And
I looked at her.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
I said, may Feather.

Speaker 10 (22:43):
I said, please be quiet fore you get us picked out.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
Of the eyes that will get you kicked out the piece,
Like the music stopped.

Speaker 10 (22:50):
When she said his name.

Speaker 11 (22:53):
I just knew he was gonna.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
Tell us that's hilarious, that's cute.

Speaker 10 (22:57):
But it was a fun line. I will say that
prior to that, I didn't really care for him, but
that night changed my whole perspective of him. When I
tell you he sold down to earth and such a
nice guy. He wasn't like flirty or disrespectful, like he
really just wanted to party, be standing, Aaron, let us
be man like. He was a really nice guy.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
That's so dope. That's good to hear. When I used
to work, get serious, he used to like randomly call
in sometimes to weigh in on the topic. Shout out
to Floyd Mayweather.

Speaker 8 (23:23):
All right, yes, really good, Thank you, Thank you guys.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
That you too, all right, And now we have a
special caller on the line, Rita, who is Dan's girlfriend. Hey,
Rita took the picture of Dan fanning out. Hey Rita,
how are you?

Speaker 12 (23:39):
How are you guys?

Speaker 15 (23:40):
Thank you for having.

Speaker 12 (23:41):
Me all right?

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Well, first of all, I shout out to you for
getting the tickets for the Drake concert and letting Dan
sit in the aisle and then capturing the moment where
he actually managed to reach out and grab Drake.

Speaker 15 (23:53):
Yeah, you know, honestly, I'm going to hold this over
his head forever because I'm like, I'm the one who
gave you the asle seat.

Speaker 8 (23:59):
Like that's girl for an award.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
And you definitely deserve it. So what was that like
for you as the girlfriend of the guy who was
reaching out for Drake?

Speaker 8 (24:10):
I mean, honestly, I was so excited for him because
you've known Dan for so long.

Speaker 10 (24:14):
You know he doesn't stand boy ever, and to see him, yes,
was really a special.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Experience for me. Hilarious.

Speaker 10 (24:22):
He really doesn't like stand out like that ever. So
to see, like even during the concert, like he had his.

Speaker 15 (24:27):
Phone out and was videotaping, and I was like, I've
never seen him.

Speaker 8 (24:32):
Do this before, So honestly, I thought it was really scute.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Now, what if he makes a habit out of this
and starts doing this everywhere, like at every concert, That'll
be weird, I think, make sense.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
That's so funny. Do you think he would have got
mad if you would have did that if it had
been other way around?

Speaker 12 (24:49):
No, definitely not, Because I'm I'm like a fan roll
over every artist all.

Speaker 10 (24:53):
The time, like I just love me.

Speaker 8 (24:55):
That's what he's just used to it.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
Okay, all right, well, thank you so much for providing
us with this content. We appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
Bye.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Well, thank you guys for calling in to let us
know about your fandout experiences. Super cute. Yeah all right,
and listen, I'm never ashamed to be a fan. Me neither,
but I know that I would do what Dan did.
But when we come back, we have a yeat and
let's talk about Ariana Grande. All right. People are talking
about her new relationship, and let's give you the updates
on what's happening with him and his marriage. It's way

(25:26):
up with Angela yee. She's like the talk like they
Angela Jean, like they Angela jee.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
Man, she's spilling it all. This is yeat way up.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
Yes, it's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela ye
Jasmine is here.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
I'm not just brand, I'm my own brand.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
With that great smelling lotion shout. Yeah. She makes these
amazing lemongrass lotions. It makes the whole room smell good
when people come in, so good. All right, Well, let's
get into some Yea tea. Now, Nlie Chappa has a
new song out and it's getting hot. It comes out
tomorrow and there's a preview online and he is channeling

(26:05):
his inner Nelly. Here's what it sounds like, looks like,
and that's what I was about, like the band aid,
the headband, all of that. So I saw he was
trending because of this. Some people were like, Okay, this
was the wrong song for you know, because it's not
a sample. I mean it is, but he definitely is

(26:27):
flowing and he covered it.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
It wasn't really a sample, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (26:31):
All Right, Well, Nelly approves though Nelly posted go up,
nephew Andie Chapper reacted. He said, Nelly approved, So that's
going to be coming out tomorrow for that new video.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
I'm sure he let him hear it before, so yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
You had to clear it. Yeah, and Nellie probably was like,
let me hear it first. All right.

Speaker 12 (26:46):
Now.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Jamie Fox, as y'all know, he is doing better after
that health scare and he actually they put out this freestyle.
Brionn put this out. This is how we have made
so many number one hits together, millions of records. My
brother Jamie Fox is truly the most gifted individual that
I have ever worked with, So blessed to have him back.
The best part about him is he has always trusted me.

(27:08):
This new album will be another classic. God is the Greatest.
And here is a little snippet of that freestyle.

Speaker 16 (27:16):
I was on my uncle look feeling like a won
of Grammy, pull away of Grammar.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Give it a look.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
Okay, this would be the perfect time to put out
an album, Jamie's album.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
You gotta say that I'm still alive. That's my song
right there. That's a blessing. Life is a blessing, all right.
Ariana Grande's boyfriend, Ethan Slater, people were talking about how
she got with him and he is still married, and
apparently his wife was not aware that any of this

(27:48):
was going to go down. I guess his estrange wife
felt like things were fine.

Speaker 17 (27:52):
Well.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
According to legal documents that TMZ obtained, Ethan Slater is
now legally ending things. He filed divorce papers in New
York and so he and his wife, Lily Day, were
high school sweethearts. They got married in twenty eighteen. They
welcomed the Sun together last year. But now that is
Ariana Grande's boyfriend. They actually met on the set of

(28:12):
Wicked the way you said it and now that's Ariana Grande,
Yes boyfriend now. Sources who are close to Lily said
she was heartbroken to hear about the relationship and she
feels abandoned. I mean they do have a very young
one year old.

Speaker 4 (28:23):
Yeah, that's kind of Yeah, it doesn't look too good.
I mean, you know, who knows what's going on behind
the scenes, but it doesn't look good when you have
a young child like that.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
We have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. Yes,
all right. Floor Rider has bought a shopping center in
Miami Gardens. Oh, we love to see it. They bought
clover Leaf Plaza for ten million dollars, according to records
Taylor Made Lending LLC. They provided the buyer with a
six point two million dollar mortgage and the seller had

(28:53):
paid one point five million for this back in nineteen
ninety three. But then since then there's been a whole
lot of additions and clover Leaf Shopping Plaza is anchored
by Studio one eighty three Lounge Bar, Grill, nightclub and
it's one occupied.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
Oh okay, mm hmm.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
So great to be able to make these investments and
to be able to talk about them for sure, So
shout out to him. I mean he's been getting to.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
That cash, especially this year.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Yeah, it's not a game. Yeah, all right, Well that
is your yet And when we come back, we have
under the radar. These are the stories that are not
necessarily in the front page, but they are under the
radar just as important. And we have some great ones
for you today. There's always so many I know that
we want to end up doing. We can't do them all.
It's way you put Angela.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Ye got news. This in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
What's up? It's way you put Angela ye. I'm Angela Yee.
And Jazzmine Brand is here.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
What's up, Angela?

Speaker 3 (29:49):
Nothing? Feeling blessed.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
I like your eyeshadow today, Thank you.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
Thank you keys my makeup artist, I like yours too,
Thank you. Now let's get into these under the radar stories.
These are story that might not be in the front
page of the news, but they're just as important. A
child boxing match, and when I say child, I mean
these kids are nine years old and this is being
promoted in West Virginia. All right. So the boxing promoter

(30:17):
is Chill Boxing and they have announced the Boone County
Brawl in Madison, West Virginia. The match is between Mason
the Viper Maynard from Ashland, Kentucky and Landon Pitbull Van
Dyke from Richland's, Virginia. They both weigh in at a
maximum of sixty eight pounds. This feels so wrong.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
But you know what though, Angela, You know, it's just
like boxing lessons. Like, you know, some people with their
kids in this is a brawl.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
They're nine, but their little heads aren't even fully formed yet. Like,
I don't feel like.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
I don't like it either. I don't like the idea either.
But who's gonna win? It doesn't feel safe, the viper
or the pit bull.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Now they're saying that child boxing is safer than football
or wrestling according to according to who Them Okay, and
so they said there's fewer injuries as compared to that
of high school football, wrestling, soccer, hockey, rugby, et cetera.
Amateur boxing rates as the seventy fifth least dangerous sport
out of one hundred and that is according to the

(31:21):
Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and the National
Safety Council. But but pediatricians beg to differ. Okay, what
do they say now? The Canadian Pediatrician Society says, we
want children and teens to actively pursue sport and recreation,
but boxing is not a good option. They recommend that
young people participate in sports where their prime focus is

(31:42):
not deliberate blows to the head, and it does put
you at a serious risk of facing brain injuries, including concussion.
Children's brains are more vulnerable, That's what I just said
to concussion, and recovery takes longer than for adults, and
even though they wear safety gear, there's no evidence to
show that headguards actually reduce the incidents of concussions.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
Also, football seems like it's very dangerous for children too,
right for adults?

Speaker 3 (32:04):
Yeah, you got to do like touch football or something
like thatag. Yeah, it's flag football, black football. Yeah all right,
So would you put your kids?

Speaker 4 (32:12):
Absolutely not. I would love to hear what you.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
Guys have to say if you want to add us
a way up with THEE to see what you guys
think about this. All right? Now, MasterCard is moving to
ban cannabis purchases on their debit cards. So they have
told financial institutions to stop allowing marijuana transactions on their cards,
and that is already going to make things really difficult
for people who maybe are involved in the marijuana industry

(32:38):
or people who have a MasterCard and want to buy some. Well, yeah,
what's the problem. What's the issue? Because the federal government
still considers cannabis seals illegal. You know, it's a state
by state things, so those purchases are not allowed on
their system. So the federal government has to figure out
how to deal with this.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
Right, because if you're if I have a MasterCard and
I'm in a state or I'm in the district of
Columbia where you can do that, So how does it
who overrules who? You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (33:01):
Yeah, And also even just traveling, a lot of people
have been concerned about going from state to state. You
can't bring marijuana from one state to the next. Everything
is still so new. There's a lot of things they
have to figure out, all right. And in news of
I didn't know you couldn't do this, one family made
seven point six million dollars. You know what they did.
They took cans and bottles from Arizona and recycled them

(33:22):
in California. Oh, seven point six million dollars when family
made all right, So if you purchase plastic or aluminum
bottles in California, you pay an extra five to ten
cents and that is for the CRV California Redemption Value.
So that recycling program, though, they said, is funded by consumers,
because Arizona has no such program. So you know how

(33:44):
you pay the additional fee for cans and bottles, and
so because they don't have that in Arizona, people are
taking those bottles from Arizona, redeeming them in California and
making money like that. But now, according to prosecutors are
saying that family that made seven point six million dollars
from cycling defrauded the state of California. Oh come on, yes,
they said. It's felony grand theft and that is punishable

(34:07):
by to three years in state prison. Out of state
containers to the degree that family is accused of could
increase the sentence by another three years. Some haters, I mean,
that's a lot seven point and that's very creative.

Speaker 4 (34:21):
Have you ever you're not recycled, but take your cans
and stuff to the place I did it one time.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
I used to because when they have the machines outside,
it's just easy. But now I just put them in
a recycling bag and I let people come pick it
up outside and just leave it there for them, neatly
organized and cleaned out and rinse the cans out and
everything so that it's not a mess. Yeah, all right,
well that is you're under the radar.

Speaker 12 (34:43):
Now.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
We do have the Way Up mix at the top
of the hour on your favorite day, it's Friday Eve. Also,
we do have Kenya More from Real Housewives of Atlanta
joining us today. You know she's a hoop Kenya more
hair Care, Kenya More Haircare. It's way up with Angelie
this in the room from Industry Shade, all the gossip out,

(35:04):
Angelus feeling that eat. Yes, it's way up. But Angela Ye,
I'm Angela Yee and Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 4 (35:12):
Yes, it's not just any brand.

Speaker 12 (35:13):
I'm my own brand.

Speaker 3 (35:14):
And it's time for your yat I write post Malone
recently spoke with Zane Lowe and that's all ahead of
his new album Austin, and one of the things that
he talked about was, you know, there was a period
of time that he did not look well, well, it's
a good way to put it. And he said that he, however,
has never done hard drugs. Here's what he said.

Speaker 6 (35:37):
There was a time name when you were on the road.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
I think people will genuinely concern for your health.

Speaker 6 (35:40):
Did they get to you?

Speaker 3 (35:41):
Yes.

Speaker 17 (35:42):
First off, I shouldn't have to really justify anything to anyone,
but I appreciate the concerns that people. But then it
just goes like it goes from like, hey, like, I
hope he's fine, but then the rumor starts that I'm
doing hard drugs, which I've never done in my entire life.

Speaker 3 (36:01):
All right, now, what has he done? Shrooms? Here's what
he had to say about that.

Speaker 6 (36:05):
I like drooms not as much as I used to.
It's really affected my short term memory.

Speaker 3 (36:11):
It's interesting because they're supposed to promote, right, which is it?

Speaker 17 (36:14):
It's but ever since, like maybe it was just a
stint of habitual over use daily. But now I take
a little bar of chocolate with my buddies, a little
square chocolate and just laugh and laugh and laugh.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
I will say, uh, Angela, do you think the definition
of hard drugs has changed over the years.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
I don't know. I mean, I don't think shroms are
ever considered hard drugs. Yeah, on marijuana, were they No? Maybe?

Speaker 4 (36:41):
Well, cocaine, I think people is more acceptable people. He
didn't say that, but that's.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
Cocaine is still hard drugs. I feel like people are
more accept accepting.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
Of it lately. I don't think I hope not, but
I feel like, you know, would be more fun.

Speaker 3 (36:57):
Yeah, yeah, I mean I think that we have to
look up a list of what heart drugs are. But
I don't think streams are ever considered heart drugs or marijuana.
But I think it's different classes right all right now.
In addition to that, speaking of interviews, Quavo, just twenty
minutes ago on his YouTube channel has put out a
conversation for the fans, has tagged rocket power as we

(37:21):
get ready for that and he according to this description,
Quavo sits down to have an intimate conversation where he
shares his grief, emotions and newfound purpose. So we do
have a piece of that.

Speaker 16 (37:33):
I miss one a lot and I love him.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
He knows I love him.

Speaker 16 (37:36):
When you see me and see me smiling or none
or something like that, and you don't gotta never think
like I forgot about him, or I forget about him.
I think about him all the time. Sometimes I cry
myself to sleep. I just know he's here. I know
I can't if I can't feel him. I just know
you're around.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
He do.

Speaker 16 (37:52):
He just do all types of crazy things.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
I know I'm not.

Speaker 16 (37:55):
I don't even like calling it crazy. No, I don't
need to say the word that's crazy. I don't stay
stuff like that nor more, because it's dead. Series is real.

Speaker 3 (38:02):
Okay, that's so difficult that, you know, for him to
have and I know for both him and for offset,
it's not easy for them to have these conversations publicly, yeah,
where they talk about take off, because that's just hard.
That's even I'm sure privately you break down. And I'm
sure that every day they both, you know, think about that.
And he said he cries, Yeah, all right. Dave Chappelle

(38:25):
has announced his twenty twenty three tour dates, and so
it starts off August twenty second in New York City
at Madison Square Garden and then it all ends in
Chicago October fourth at United Center. I feel like he's
still going to add more dates on too, because it
always starts off here. Ends here, but then in between
they always end up adding some more dates.

Speaker 4 (38:43):
Right, those are two cities that we loved too.

Speaker 3 (38:45):
Yeah, it's going to be New York, Cleveland, Detroit, Lexington, Kentucky, Indianapolis,
New Orleans, Kansas City, Omaha in Nashville, and Saint Paul, Minnesota.
I was born in Omaha, that's right. I feel like
you're growing up Omaha soon. This weekend, you're going to
be in Omaha. When it's the last time you've been there.
I have no idea that's been old. I don't know
the last time I've been there. And when you asked
Jasmin like where you're from, people think she's from DC,

(39:08):
but really you're from Omaha.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
Yeah. I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. I
just I've in DC most like most of my life.
But yeah, I'll be at Omaha this weekend. Okay, a
little family reunion, all right.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
And Jalen Brown once which we all discussed this already,
he signed the richest deal in NBA history on Wednesday.
It's a five year, three hundred and four million dollar
super Max contract extension with the Celtics. He said he
wants to bring Black Wall Street to Boston. He said,
I want to launch a project to bring Black Wall Street.
I want to attack the wealth disparity here. I think
there's analytics that supports that stimulating the wealth gap could

(39:41):
actually be something that could be better meant for the
entire economy. He was talking at the MIT Media Lab
in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He said, with the biggest financial deal
in NBA history, it makes sense to talk about one
year investment in community. But with the wealth disparity here
that nobody wants to talk about is top five in
the US, and it's something we can all improve on it.
It's unsettling. I love that idea, I know, all right,

(40:05):
and he's got the money to do it.

Speaker 4 (40:06):
And he's also tell you.

Speaker 3 (40:08):
Okay, Jasmine, all right, Well that is your yeetee. And
when we come back, man, since we're talking about sports,
let's talk about this story with Cam Newton. Apparently he
wants to get his Bentley back and he's suing his
ex girlfriend for that. We want to talk about this

(40:29):
giving them gifts back. Afterward, it's way up with Angela yee,
and we'll be back.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
Yeah, way up with Angela ye is on.

Speaker 3 (40:42):
Yes, it's way up with Angela yee. I'm Angela Yee,
and Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 4 (40:47):
Yes, what's up?

Speaker 3 (40:47):
And we're eating salads. We almost bought a huge giant cookie.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
None of us had any money.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
We ordered our salads on an app to pick it up,
but we didn't bring money downstairs. We went to pick
up the salads and so fortunately we did not buy
that huge giant cookie. I was like, I don't think
we should do that. Jackson said we could split it
four ways. So sorry, guys, no cookies for you up here.

Speaker 4 (41:09):
It looks so good. It was trying.

Speaker 3 (41:10):
It looked like it was a little crunchy and soft too.
It was sold. I like a thin chocolate chip cookie, right, yeah,
like a thin.

Speaker 4 (41:16):
Would you like yours kind of crunchy crunchy? I do
like a little crunchy, Yeah, I like it in between.

Speaker 3 (41:19):
All right. Now, let's talk about this. Cam Newton is
suing his ex girlfriend Kia Practor he wants to get
back his twenty seventeen Bentley. This is all according to
Radar Online. They have the documents now. They started dating
in twenty thirteen, they split in twenty nineteen. They have
four kids together. Their breakup happened because around the time
that he had a child with an Instagram model named

(41:41):
Larena Shaw. Now, in a new lawsuit, cam Newton is
saying there's a dispute over twenty seventeen Bentley that he owns.
He said he allowed her to use it while they
were in a romantic relationship, and although the relationship has ended,
she does remain in possession of the car and refuses
to return it. He purchased his car in twenty eighteen

(42:02):
and it was only in his name. Okay, So he
said she was allowed to use the car with the
understanding that she would return it if the relationship ended.

Speaker 4 (42:09):
Oh, I don't like those terms.

Speaker 3 (42:11):
It's petty, but they have four kids together. But I
will say, if it's only in his name, it's his car.
And so somebody has given you a gift, you got
to make sure that car is in your name. If
someone's like, care, I'm giving you a car, but it's
in their name, they're not giving you a car. And
he's saying that he never gave it to her, he'd
just let her use it during that time.

Speaker 4 (42:30):
Yeah, I don't like that, but I mean it is
his car. Maybe he wants to give it to his
new girlfriend, Jasmine Brown. You know he's dating Watch Jazzy.

Speaker 3 (42:38):
I thought it was you. I was like, whoa Jazzmine Brand?

Speaker 4 (42:42):
I mean he is Watch Jazz. You know that is jazz.
She's really creamy. She has Watch Jazz, median and actress. Yep,
maybe he'll take it to her.

Speaker 3 (42:49):
Well, not sure, but he wants it back. It's a
twenty seven. I don't know if I would want somebody's
car that they've been using.

Speaker 4 (42:56):
I just made that up, so he probably not. But
do you think do you think that she should give
the car back?

Speaker 3 (43:03):
She has to legally, he could go and get it back.
So in a situation like this, just give it back.
I mean, it's in his name. There's nothing else you
could do. And he's probably I don't know, he maybe
bought it outright, but let's just say it was a
car that he was making payments on. He would still
be the one who had to make the payments.

Speaker 4 (43:19):
Just give it a car.

Speaker 3 (43:21):
Okay, we can't tell somebody what to do with their stuff,
but it would be nice. It'd be nice. You're fine,
give her the car for your kids, all right now.
Tristan Thompson and his brother, Amari have moved in with
Chloe Kardashian. This is on the season finale of The
Kardashians on Hulu, and so they after celebrating the holidays together,

(43:42):
Chloe gets the news that his mom has died of
a heart attack, and so she got on Kim Kardashian's
plane along with Chris Jenner. They flew out to Toronto
and they dropped everything to get there, and so now
I guess they've moved in. Here's what happened on The Kardashians.

Speaker 18 (44:00):
Tristan and I are not back together, but I love, love,
love Andrea, and I love Tristan, I love Amari, and
this is what family does. Tristan is the father of
my kids. You know, I've lost my dad, but still
I can't wrap my head around losing my mom. And
I know how close Tristan and his mom are, and

(44:21):
I just it's just heartbreaking. And then to be left
with the responsibility of another person as well is it's
a lot.

Speaker 3 (44:30):
That is a lot.

Speaker 4 (44:31):
Yeah, but I get it.

Speaker 3 (44:32):
His mom passed away and you guys do have two
children together, so.

Speaker 4 (44:37):
And she had a relationship with a mom too.

Speaker 3 (44:39):
Yeah. Yeah, I don't know if I could be like,
move in here. I might be like, look, I got
an extra house, right that you guys can stay in.

Speaker 4 (44:47):
Well, if my ex didn't have it like that, I'll
absolutely do it.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
But you know the other thing that she said was
that there was some severe weather and Tristan's home was
under construction and the roof cave in. Okay, so she
says that till the repairs come through, that's why he
and his brother have moved in with her.

Speaker 4 (45:05):
It's tricky.

Speaker 3 (45:07):
Yeah, he'll be a good person, and maybe they're on
good terms.

Speaker 4 (45:10):
Yeah, because maybe they get along like friends.

Speaker 3 (45:11):
But imagine if you're dating somebody and you're like, oh, yeah,
my ex is living here with his brother. I mean,
how do you explain that? Yes, especially when you have
money like that, You're like, you guys, yeah, yeah, you
guys used to live there. All right. Well that is
just us talking about all of these relationships, situations and situationships.
But when we come back, we have from Real Housewives

(45:33):
of Atlanta Keny Moore Haircare. Kenya Moore is going to
be joining us. So if you guys have been watching
this season, you've seen a lot going on the last episode,
she slipped and fell really bad in Portugal and ended
up in the emergency room. So we're going to discuss
all of those things. She has been having not a
great time with some of the other cast members too,
who I saw her and Sanya. We're going to get along,

(45:56):
but it looks like there's some issues there. But we'll
discuss all that. You know, she has no problem talking
about anything, Kenya Moore. When we come back. It's way
up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 13 (46:05):
I'm you Angela ye.

Speaker 3 (46:12):
Yes, it's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela yee.
Jasmine is here.

Speaker 4 (46:15):
Yes, I'm not just any brand.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
I'm my own brand.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
You know, it's all almost August. This is the summer
almost over. I think we still have time. I saw
somewhere they were saying they expect it to start snowing
on the East Coast in October.

Speaker 4 (46:30):
Oh, I can't wait.

Speaker 3 (46:31):
Really.

Speaker 4 (46:32):
I love I love I love winter, I love fall.
I love all the seasons. And living in la we
really only had like one season, so I love all
the seasons. I love this. I was born in December.
I love the snow.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
I was born in January. Yeah, but you.

Speaker 4 (46:44):
Know I get excited. I mean, you send me video.
I'm like, I tell my mom to send me videos
whenever it's snowing outside. I love it.

Speaker 3 (46:49):
That's so crazy.

Speaker 4 (46:50):
I love extreme weather.

Speaker 3 (46:51):
Has your daughter your daughter's how old is she now?

Speaker 9 (46:55):
Not?

Speaker 4 (46:55):
She'll be two in a few weeks.

Speaker 3 (46:56):
She has she ever been in the snow?

Speaker 4 (46:58):
I don't think she understood what was going on? Okay,
but I'm definitely always about to be a thing.

Speaker 3 (47:02):
It's about to be a thing. Have you ever made
a snowman or any such I have?

Speaker 4 (47:06):
I have? Have you made a snowman?

Speaker 3 (47:07):
Or have you dated one? You know? Bad girls growing up?

Speaker 4 (47:13):
All right?

Speaker 3 (47:13):
Well, anyway, Real Housewives of Atlanta's own Kenya Moore is
going to be joining us when we come back, So
I know she doesn't hold her tongue about anything, and
she has no problem answering questions, and she gives some
of the funniest shade she does on that show. So
let's see what she got for us today, Kenya Moore,
when we come back, Real Housewives of Atlanta's Way Up

(47:34):
with Angela Yee.

Speaker 16 (47:35):
I'm I'm bad you ride me way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (47:41):
Leyee and Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand is here, and
you know who's here with us. Yes, it's Kenny Moore here.
We had to do that. We're welcome, Kenya. Thank you
does look good too.

Speaker 12 (47:59):
Thank you? Thank you? What had some help today?

Speaker 3 (48:02):
Okay? Yeah, well listen, you got a lot going on, lady.

Speaker 12 (48:05):
It's a lot.

Speaker 3 (48:06):
Jasmine and I actually we're talking about we watched The
Housewives together, so we've been following your journey. We saw
on the latest episode Sunday Night. Yes, okay, Sunday Night
is Portugal.

Speaker 4 (48:17):
Yes, you got to port Hospital.

Speaker 12 (48:18):
Yes, that's when I felt.

Speaker 3 (48:20):
I want to ask you, how did you feel in
when you saw what Courtney had to say that was
about karma, because she tried to say that you slipping
and falling was karma.

Speaker 12 (48:27):
Yeah, that's unfortunate. So everything that's happened bad in her
life is karma.

Speaker 3 (48:31):
Yeah. Yeah, so because even Drew was like, now that's
too far.

Speaker 12 (48:36):
You know what I'm saying, Like, I haven't done anything
to you that will warrant you saying something like that
to me, Like I literally asked you to stop hitting
me one hundred times and.

Speaker 14 (48:46):
We looked, you know, just like.

Speaker 12 (48:51):
It was just too much and it was just her way,
Like she's very touchy. But then she's like girl, and
I'm just like, yeah, I'm gonna need you to stop
hitting me like that because it's becoming something else. Now.
She's a strange one, you know. But I think saying
things like that, she didn't even know if I was okay. Right,

(49:11):
I was in the ambulance on my way to the hospital,
so they made me go and for her not to
even know if I was okay, and to say that,
that just speaks to her character.

Speaker 3 (49:21):
Yeah, and that was great. Candy went with too.

Speaker 12 (49:23):
Yeah, Candy was there. That hospital was scary.

Speaker 3 (49:26):
Especially but you're at another country.

Speaker 4 (49:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (49:28):
No, I went to the hospital. I went to two hospitals.
The first one was a public one. It was like
all these naked, like ninety year old people on it,
like naked and moaning. It was like walking dead. And
then someone that was working with us called the private
hospital and no one spoke English, not one person.

Speaker 3 (49:47):
That's how you guys are in Portugal.

Speaker 12 (49:48):
Yeah, and so then but it was a hospital, like
you know. Then they took us to a private hospital
and it was like night and day.

Speaker 3 (49:55):
Okay, thank goodness. I had to go with one of
my friends to the hospital out of the country and
it was a scary thing, was rolling in bodies.

Speaker 12 (50:03):
Receiving hospitals.

Speaker 4 (50:05):
Yeah, Danny's such a good friend because she was a truper.
She's set there with you for a while. Yeah, that's
the whole time.

Speaker 12 (50:11):
She was there the whole time. Yeah, Yeah, she was there.
She would go out and you know, report how things
were going, but she was there. Yeah, Katy's always been.

Speaker 4 (50:18):
Really I want to ask a question again about Courtney.
Do you feel like there's pressure when you first come
on the show to kind of yeah, like just over
you know, you.

Speaker 12 (50:27):
Saw her first episode. It was like, girl, relax, like
it's not that serious. That's not what we're looking for.
And that's the problem with this show and the casting.
I think when we've been on so long, the movies
come on and think that's what you're supposed to do.
Create some fake drama, be over the top and you know,
and that's gonna go over well. But it didn't work
out for her. She's not a housewife, right, But don't

(50:48):
sit there and amp it up.

Speaker 3 (50:49):
And so you you I heard you were talking about me.

Speaker 12 (50:52):
You said you didn't know any and then then the
next thing is like what I said and now you're
bucking up me doing it like head button people and
like cursing and like I'm not fun to get up,
but I would beat you.

Speaker 3 (51:06):
I'm like, I was like, oh yeah, this Kenny is
a naturally funny person too. It's just naturally funny. But
I think it probably took them inte for you to
also find your groove, right. You have to get used
to the cameras being around.

Speaker 12 (51:18):
I was used to cameras like because I can reality cameras. No,
that's a whole different thing. I mean, you forget that
they're there. After a while, you really do free. That's
so scary. I'm sure it is scary because it's like
what did I say? Oh what did I do? Oh
what did I show? You know, so you have your
guard up a little bit. But I think what makes
people successful on the show is when they're authentic. When

(51:39):
I came on, I was just a mess because I
was a mess. I wasn't trying to be a mess.
I was just like, oh, I'm dating this dude. It
is a loser. This one over here. I'm having issues
with my mom, I'm having issues with wanting a family.
I'm making wrong to sit, I'm over here just doing stuff.
They're just like, oh, this is crazy. But it wasn't
anything I premeditated. It was anything that I set out

(52:01):
to go, Oh I'm gonna go over here and flirt
with this person. Like it was just crazy stuff, happy
bombs going off there.

Speaker 3 (52:07):
And there's also real issues you have now even wanting
to have a second child.

Speaker 12 (52:10):
Yeah, it's a real issue for me because here I
am at this big age. I had to have IVF
and I have enormous fibers. I actually lost consciousness. I
was telling you this story when I had my my daughter,
and it's so scary. It was so scary, and every
time I went to the hospital, I didn't know if

(52:31):
they were going to tell me she's gone. Every time,
literally at least eight times I would go to the
hospital emergency and the stuff that they didn't cover on
the show because they weren't there, you know, for my pregnancy, right,
that was a struggle in and of itself. So to
get to hear and she's thriving, and she's she's.

Speaker 3 (52:51):
So beautiful, but she is amazing spelling together and everything.

Speaker 12 (52:57):
She's such a thank you.

Speaker 3 (53:00):
Is she gonna be able to still stay on the show?
Because I know there was some dispendancies, so.

Speaker 12 (53:04):
I'm fighting that now. You know my ex husband is
fighting me in court. We could have been divorced by now,
but when you sue someone for divorce, the custody of
a child, a minor comes into play. So we were
very close, and then the last mediation he wants to
challenge my right to have the final say on her

(53:26):
filming because he's now on a reality show. I don't
know he's filming over reality.

Speaker 3 (53:34):
I was like, I haven't seen this show he's filming.

Speaker 4 (53:36):
Is it ensemble?

Speaker 12 (53:37):
Is it just him? He won't tell me a lot
about want her on the show. Yes, And so now
that's what's causing the divorce proceeding to move forward because
I'm like, that's what I sued you for custody for
is because you were trying to keep her off of
the housewives. Now you want to be on a show
now all of a sudden, and you need my permission

(53:57):
for her to be on that show because I have
final say. It's just so much bs.

Speaker 4 (54:02):
You've created a monster now.

Speaker 12 (54:05):
But everyone told me that I remember before, just so
it was like restaurant before.

Speaker 3 (54:14):
Yeah, and what about when it comes to because now
you have somebody new that you're dating. Now this has
also been some type of drama on the show to
write just because he went on a date with Marlow.

Speaker 12 (54:25):
Didn't let me explain that it was not a date girl,
that was a meet and greet. They met before that.
So some of this stuff. We have our reunion on Thursdays.
Some of this stuff is going to come out clarify.
But that wasn't when they met. They met in his
restaurant through a friend that was there at the restaurant.

(54:46):
But it wasn't a date to him. It was like
they met at the restaurant. It was like a okay
and they it was down it was a Mexican fast
okay street and they both drove there, met there, had
some fast food. Is that a day to you?

Speaker 4 (55:05):
Like that yours?

Speaker 3 (55:08):
Would you?

Speaker 4 (55:09):
It wasn't.

Speaker 12 (55:09):
I don't even care what It was so long all
and it didn't lead to anything. There was no so
it's like what do I care?

Speaker 4 (55:17):
I mean, it was, but you know, people were comparing
that situation to you, bringing up Martel and the d
M people.

Speaker 12 (55:24):
I never said she shouldn't bring it up, but I
think her mischaracterization it wasn't a day, Like if that
was a day, Huney, your your standards are really super low.

Speaker 3 (55:34):
What's the difference between trying to warn somebody and quote
unquote hating on a situation? Because I think that's what
comes into play. Right. Some people would be like, because
in your head, you're just giving Cheri a warning about Martell.
It's just that I'm just letting you.

Speaker 12 (55:49):
Know, yes, because she's my actual friend.

Speaker 3 (55:51):
And some people looked at it, like, why are you
trying to hate? So can you try to hate?

Speaker 12 (55:55):
I told her what you didn't see is me saying
I'm happy for you. I really it was no big deal,
but I wanted it to come out of my mouth
because of my experience on the show. Y'all know what
I've been through. Yes, with me and the people accusing
me of this and accusing me of that. I'm like, nope,
you're gonna hear from me, and this is what happened.
And that's all it was. And I pulled her to
the side. I didn't have an audience. It was no

(56:15):
big deal, and I even said, I'm happy for you
if if you're happy Chara, I'm happy for Chara because
I really like charay.

Speaker 3 (56:22):
It's the way y but Angela ye, Kenya Moore is
here with us as in me and Jasmine Brand will
be back with more. It's way yup with Angela yee.

Speaker 1 (56:33):
Ys you back at it? Bring La is on?

Speaker 3 (56:38):
What's up? It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela
Yee and Jasmine Brand is here with me. We are
talking to Kenya Moore from Real Housewives of Atlanta. Now
let's look about Sanya for a second. Well, you did
host her fundraiser.

Speaker 6 (56:51):
I did you know?

Speaker 3 (56:52):
I did, which was a nice thing to do. It's
a nonprofit, it's to charity, it's for moms.

Speaker 12 (56:56):
Yeah, and so it's a great charity.

Speaker 3 (56:58):
How did y'all go left?

Speaker 12 (57:00):
Because when you watched the episode and she was talking
crap about me behind my back, and it was the
previous episode where I'm like, no, girl, you're calling me
at the last minute. I will be there. I will
show up for you because I'm a girl who always
believes in charity. I always believe in giving back, especially
when there's moms involved, kids of all, young black girls
of all. I am there. Everybody knows that. Check my

(57:21):
track record. So when she called me and she needed me.
I was like, I got you, I got there. She
had I felt like she had a low goal. I
was like, no, girl, fifty thousand, I got this is
over here in this this parent costs fifty dollars.

Speaker 3 (57:32):
Let's go you know yah this table right?

Speaker 12 (57:36):
Yeah. And the fact that I donated more than anybody, Yes.

Speaker 3 (57:40):
You don't, And she was like, I started up five thousand, and.

Speaker 12 (57:43):
Then I think, I think my other company gave a
donation too, So regardless if it was a dollar, the
fact that I just gave you my heart, I did
something out of the goodness of my heart. And then
the next week she turns around and was talking crap
about me with Marlowe. And it's not the first time
that she's done it. She says she's neutral, but in

(58:04):
my heart, I was like, no, she's not, because I
have all these other instances where I see.

Speaker 3 (58:08):
This she's not.

Speaker 12 (58:09):
And I was like, okay, I'm cool on you. I've
seen enough, and.

Speaker 3 (58:11):
You donated your time too, so that's all the time.
It's also valuable.

Speaker 12 (58:15):
A charge a mighty for that, like come on, you know,
I know, show up, you know there's a check.

Speaker 8 (58:22):
You know.

Speaker 12 (58:22):
I thought it was a really big slap in my
face and I really wanted and it was other things
that she had done that was you know for me,
All these one plus one plus ones are adding up.
So I just said, this is not good for me.

Speaker 3 (58:37):
And sometimes you also don't know until you see the episode, right.

Speaker 12 (58:40):
Yeah, I didn't know. Some things I knew, like off cameras,
some things that happened between us that I addressed earlier
on at a lunch I think, you know, when she
was saying some stuff and wasn't supportive of me, and
then it was the Portugal trip and some other stuff,
and I was like, I knew those things that happened
to And I just said, she's just showing me time
and time again that she is not teamy, right, and

(59:02):
it's okay, And it's okay. I don't think she's a
bad person. I just don't think she's a friend to me.

Speaker 3 (59:08):
One of the questions about you and she was up
here recently, is people feel like she's acting and scene
and scene. Yeah, what are your thoughts?

Speaker 12 (59:18):
I think Drew is really going through some things. I mean,
obviously she's filed for divorce. She and her husband are constantly,
you know, working on their marriage. It's unfortunate because I
was really rooting for them. I really thought they were
going to get back together, like because from last year,
you know, they were seemed like they were on a
bring a divorce, and then this year they seem to
be more pleasant with each other. He seemed to be

(59:39):
more supportive, and then all of a sudden, we get
hit with the news at the end of the season
that they're breaking up. And I was like, oh, I
don't know, but I don't think that she's acting. I
think that she's just trying to find her way and
it's a lot going on. And maybe because she's been
a child actor, they were accusing her of that, but.

Speaker 3 (59:56):
I don't What about the accusations about her and kiss?

Speaker 4 (01:00:01):
Did you see really quick? Hold on?

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
No?

Speaker 12 (01:00:05):
I mean, is there prove?

Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
So listen, So did you see that the cameras were off,
but they had like some little regular footage, and Candy
and Drew were arguing about, you know, whether in fact.

Speaker 12 (01:00:16):
She kissed LaToya Latoyah. You see, yes, I know about that.

Speaker 4 (01:00:20):
Okay, So Drew is holding ten towels down that sitting
to say that she did not kiss this girl. Did
you see Drew kiss LaToya.

Speaker 12 (01:00:28):
I mean, I think it was made clear at the
reunion two years ago that LaToya said they kissed, But
did you see it? I saw it. I mean, I'm
not the only one that's said that. Though Andy was
Candy got, Candy wasn't angry because Candy's not a liar.

(01:00:50):
I'm not a light liar either, But Kenny is known
that she's not gonna sit there and lie. So people
challenge me all the time, but they don't challenge Candy,
and so Kenny's like, you're gonna tell me I saw.

Speaker 4 (01:01:00):
Can't you got the mess they got?

Speaker 12 (01:01:04):
They were mad at each other. It was great. They
were like literally going at it.

Speaker 4 (01:01:09):
But it is context to this new kissing situation that
Andy is asking about.

Speaker 12 (01:01:13):
I don't know anything about that situation. I did speak
to Drew about it, but I'll let her tell you
her side of it. I wasn't there. I can't tell
you about that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:22):
All right, Well, normally we would have asked ye when
we come back, but of course we have to give
the floor to Kenya Moore. She's here with us from
Real Housewives of Atlanta. It's me Jasmine Brand. We got
more when we come back on way up with Angela Yee.
What's up? Its way up with Angela Ye. I'm Angela
Yee and Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is Hair. We're

(01:01:44):
talking to Kenya Moore from Real Housewives of Atlanta from
this last season that you guys did. What are some
things that you have going on that you wish would
have made it into the season from what you've seen,
but that didn't make it cause you guys do film
a lot and some things don't.

Speaker 12 (01:01:58):
For me, you know, it's all about showing me as
the real business woman that I am. I learned a
completely new business, which is the hair care industry. I
develop products like a lot of that. Those pieces are filmed,
but they don't put them in the show. And I
know the feedback from some of the viewers just like, well,
we want to see the process, and not only is

(01:02:19):
it interesting to them, but it's a learning curve because
a lot of people want to be entrepreneurs. They want
to learn how to figure it out? What was your process?
Everyone's process is different, but let show me teach me
and those a lot of those scenes are cut.

Speaker 3 (01:02:33):
Can they do something online with that? Maybe something digital?

Speaker 12 (01:02:36):
It would be up to me. I mean that would
be a Bravo choice. But I feel like the fans
it's a consistent complaint every year, especially from me, because
they see me building, but then the pieces fall apart,
and I feel like that might even happen. I'm building
a hair salon. I literally have never had a brick
and mortar company before, and I am learning from the beginning. Roight,

(01:02:57):
you know, helped me along the way with somebody.

Speaker 3 (01:02:59):
Yes, so you know he's.

Speaker 4 (01:03:06):
Almost man.

Speaker 12 (01:03:10):
No, no, no, but just purely from a business perspective,
I have a lot of respect for him, and I think,
you know, it's unfortunate that some of the stuff on
RHL as clouded with some bs like oh this date
or that date. Let's talk about the man, the business,
you know, the heart, the kindness, all of the things
that he's shown me that no matter what happens, I

(01:03:33):
have a friend, you know, and I have a real friend,
someone who's shown up for me way more than some
of the girls on the show.

Speaker 3 (01:03:39):
So well he should should he likes you.

Speaker 4 (01:03:44):
You ever pitched your own spin off special too? Yes,
I have.

Speaker 12 (01:03:51):
Actually it was during the pandemic, and that was one
of the reasons why they said, you know, let's let's
wait on this. I have established this trip that I
take with Brooklyn every year to Paris, and it's Paris
not only through my eyes, is learning the city, the culture,
the people, the language, but also through a one year

(01:04:12):
old eyes. And so she celebrated, We celebrated her one
year birthday there, two, three, and four. Every year we
go to Paris. So I pitched Kenya in Brooklyn in
Paris makes sense. And there's so many things we haven't seen.
And we haven't seen black pears, we haven't seen Paris
to the eyes of a child. We haven't seen a

(01:04:32):
young kid navigate. We went, We went to can when
we were there last, you know, a couple of weeks ago,
we went to San Trope.

Speaker 3 (01:04:41):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (01:04:47):
My mama took me here.

Speaker 3 (01:04:50):
And when I was three. It's for me just.

Speaker 12 (01:04:53):
Learning, learning everything through our eyes. It's a different perspective,
not only being of my age, being newly single, and
for her being a child, and also being you know,
there together. What does that look like? What does that
look like to spend a summer in Paris with a child,
and also everything that's there, the food, you know, figuring
out how to how to make you know, be she

(01:05:14):
swat you know, it's like.

Speaker 3 (01:05:18):
